1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 02, 2022, 11:29:26 PM
1st and 2nd fights are really close and this 3rd one should now show us who's the real winner between these two.

First fight wasn't even close. Golovkin had a huge advantage and in most of the neutral scorecards, he won the fight. However the judges thought otherwise. And it was not just Adelaide Byrd (118-110 in favor of Canelo). Even the other two judges (Dave Moretti and Don Trella) also gave Canelo more rounds than what he won actually. Trella gave a score of 114-114, while Moretti scored the fight as 115-113 in favor of Golovkin. Most of the neutral observers had a score of 116-112 or 117-111 in favor of Golovkin.

The 1st fight was closed. https://www.boxingscene.com/canelo-vs-golovkin-compubox-punch-stats--120563

Although for me GGG wins that match, the stats is so close that ended up in a draw because of that controversial score given by Byrd.

That's why in this trilogy, GGG needs to dominate Canelo as much as possible in most rounds to clearly win the fight in case it will end in a Decision.

It's a good thing for Jayson Castro that he didn't force himself to play as that might result in a much worst condition. Poy Erram also limits his playing time by 19 minutes which can give him a break from his own sprain injury. Much better if he didn't play instead of somehow being in full healthy status on Game 7.

After parting ways with the Phoenix FuelMasters, Matthew Wright now officially signed with the Japan B-League.

1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 02, 2022, 11:07:11 PM
I think it is the use of sauna that ban him from fighting and due to that, he was unable to defend his title twice which resulted in him being stripped of the title.

The bottom line is, that Casimero is having a weight problem issue that leads him to use the sauna. Aside from that, his camp was unaware of that policy under British Boxing Council. If only they are responsible, Casimero should be the one facing Inoue now. Don't want to happen the same situation with Jerwin Ancajas.

Back to topic, and as I previously posted here, Ancajas camp admits that they overtrained Jerwin just to meet the required weight.

That's why to solve that, they will cut Ancajas' training volume as one of the options to make him perfectly in good condition on the day of the fight.
1524  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome a Bear Market in Cryptocurrency on: September 02, 2022, 10:59:03 PM
Experience is the key. If we are used to experiencing a bear market, we can automatically think of ways how to ride the current trend.

How about newbies that are new to this trend? No choice but to feel the wrath of the bear market and face the problems they will encounter on the way.

That will be the challenge for them and that's part of building an experience.
1525  Economy / Economics / Re: Working hours | How many are too many? on: September 02, 2022, 10:52:58 PM

Above all of this, since most employees and workers have no choice in the first place, even how stressful working at the standard hours, that's the job they selected so these people will just go with the flow. During the pandemic, lots of businesses and companies were being shut down, and lucky if some of these institutions decided to just cut the number of their employees instead of totally shutting down the business to save the cost of operation. Because of that incident, most people found it a blessing if they found work these days that's why regardless of the working hours they are fine working that long.

As a quote says, "no one got rich from working 8 hours", it might make sense but it's hard for most people to solve that.

That's the reality.
1526  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play online/offline without your wife or family knowing it? on: September 02, 2022, 10:43:54 PM

Now, this would be something of a thread where users can give tips as to how we play online/offline without our family knowing it. Curious how you do it.

My wife suspected me for almost a year already when I was watching a UFC channel on youtube where they suggest who to bet. Of course, I said No when she asked if I was betting. From then on I just hold my phone whenever she is not around. It's a long argument when your wife suggests buying this or that on amazon yet you gambling your funds. lol

Why create a problem over a problem? Cheesy There should be no cases like that if you tell your partner about your gambling activity from the beginning. It's now hard on your case to be comfortable in doing gambling now that your partner doesn't like it and always results in a long argument. You have created this mess.

In my case, my family, partner, friends, and anyone who knows me, are aware of my gambling activity and how much the range of money I'm putting into it. Since they know that I'm still responsible for my priorities and doings despite my gambling activity, no one from them even give me the advice to stop or refrain doing gambling. Our gambling experience will be smooth if we do not hide it.

I guess what you need to do is to tell your partner and be honest. It's a distraction if we are gambling behind shadows and we are at our own house.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 02, 2022, 10:27:59 PM
is the Cavaliers now more ready in the playoffs? Last season they have an impressive run but fall short, and now that they have Mitchell, maybe we will see some big improvement especially in the playoffs.

As far as the competition in the Eastern Conference is concerned, Cleveland Cavaliers might now improved their chance of getting in the playoffs next season especially since we know how Donovan Mitchell plays and his impact on his former team, the Utah Jazz. Although those being shipped from Cavaliers to Jazz in exchange for Mitchell plays a big role in their impressive last year's performance, it should be covered by the former Jazz cager.

About the Jazz, no more Gobert and Mitchell, who will lead the team? Clarkson?

Since the Jazz is rebuilding, expect new plays, roles, and adjustments from this team. We don't know yet who will lead the team in most cases.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 01, 2022, 11:56:06 PM
Without a doubt, Kelly Williams has to prove that he can carry his team even though in his age his speed and accuracy are still their.

Why expect an old guy to carry the team? Kelly Williams is just doing his usual role to help the team. It's just that his shooting is impressive that night and I think he even got surprised. That gives him momentum. He rarely shoots 3s now but last night, he attempted to do it.

Another slight disadvantage on the TNT side is that aside from Jayson Castro, Poy Erram is also experiencing a minor injury but he is cleared to play.

Other TNT cagers should step up in the absence of their working teammates.
1529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: September 01, 2022, 11:52:46 PM
Spence is a coward, he does not fight the best to keep is undefeated record. He could have fought Pacman but cancel the fight to get an eye operation, and beat Ugas easily. For me, I now respect Crawford than Spence because he doesn't want to take risk and stake his undefeated record for this unification fight.

Before a certain fight, both boxers are checked if they are healthy enough to fight. The eye operation is being advised to Spence that's why let's not say he used that as an excuse for not fighting Manny Pacquiao. About his story with Crawford, maybe the best term is dodging and not being a coward. Crawford before is also under the shadow of top ranks that's why he didn't get his preferred match, especially against Spence.

Moving forward, should be no coward or something else as Spence and Crawford will now face each other finally and the possibility is high.
1530  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it advisable as a starter to engage in future trade? on: September 01, 2022, 11:45:03 PM
When I login to my trading App (Exchange), I do see an option for future trade and when try to give it a try, I will see a notification reading "Future trade can be very risky".
Is it advisable as a new trader to engage in future trade?

Obviously, since you said "new trader" it's like a suicidal move if they will engage right away in Futures. This feature is different from the usual Spot Trading and knowledge about doing Futures before an actual engagement is really necessary. Definitely, you will soon build experience in Futures but don't rush.

As a new trader, learn and familiarize yourself first with how the usual trading works. There will be a time that you can now consider yourself ready to learn new things and that is building an experience with Futures trading now.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 01, 2022, 11:41:13 PM
If Canelo skips a rematch, fans will be disappointed as minimum, and as maximum could say that Canelo is afraid of Bivol.

If my memory served me right, Canelo wants the rematch right away against Bivol but his camp was advised by some professional analyst, groups, or something along those lines that it will be risky for Canelo to head straight to a rematch without doing some other fights first. Maybe as part of conditioning as Bivol is really a big deal and able to turn the heavy favorite Canelo into a punching bag.

But before that discussion, let's see first if Canelo can give GGG a hard time on this trilogy.

1st and 2nd fights are really close and this 3rd one should now show us who's the real winner between these two.

I want to share some PBA news outside the ongoing PBA All-Filipino Cup Finals. Smiley

Matthew Wright now finally bid goodbye to his team, Phoenix Fuel Masters after playing for 6 seasons here. His contract just expired with the team and no renewal happened on which the Phoenix respects Wright's decision.

He was speculated to be signed to the Japan B-League team and that was a rumor even before.

1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does altcoins actually have the potentials of generating benefits to investors? on: August 31, 2022, 11:46:55 PM
As a beginner into the trading business, I'm always scared of putting my money into altcoins but I do hear some people talk about how they make profits altcoins.

So I decided to come here to seek the views of experienced traders on the potentials of altcoins.

To make things clear, yes, you can make a profit from trading altcoins. Lots of worthy altcoins there.

But the question is, what are those "Worthy" altcoins?

That's the question that you won't get from others as we do have our own preferences on choosing those altcoins. You need to test the waters at your preferred altcoins and do some tests if putting money on those will be worth it or not.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 31, 2022, 11:44:51 PM
That's right, actually even if Westbrook were struggling last season but as long as AD were healthy, most likely Lakers will still have a shot in the NBA finals. With Lebron and AD leading the team, we've seen that before already when they won a championship.

That makes sense and I'm with it. Yes, we can't hide the fact that Westbrook is struggling but we can't really just point that as a reason why Los Angeles Lakers suffers last season. Anthony Davis is consistent but the problem is, he becomes soft. How many games did he just play last season? LeBron James is also being sidelined for several games and that's understandable. Their bench is not even deep and all their supporting cast are not consistent. Westbrook can't carry anymore a team as he did in OKC. Can't be compared too to the capability of LeBron carrying a team.

That's why I believed trading Westbrook won't be the key to saving the Lakers from being sh*t last season.
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which meme coin is your favourite on: August 31, 2022, 11:26:26 PM
Between Baby Doge and Shiba inu which one do you feel is right for long term hold? Is there any fan of Baby Doge here? Do you think Baby doge can bring better gains than Shiba already did in near future.

Both meme coins are being hyped by a strong institution. Do you think that's enough for these coins to be considered for long-term hold?

With its vast supplies, holding them for a long might not be appropriate but well, it depends on how you will manage your coins on the way.

For a quick answer, these meme coins are part of my portfolio but to the point that I will consider holding these for long, no way.
1536  Economy / Gambling / Re: Some Crazy Fun Facts About Casinos And Gambling You Might Not Know. on: August 31, 2022, 11:24:07 PM
But seriously, are they really that addicted to it that they don't want to leave the RTP machine at the Slots or maybe a few spins at Roulete and Poker. This is very funny Grin

A gambler in a physical casino does have a habit to use only a single machine as maybe it brings luck for them in the past.

As we know, there's no such thing as a gambler can reserve a machine in a physical casino unless some kind of permission is being asked. Maybe that's the reason why others are not leaving their machine to prevent others from using it, especially if these gamblers are on their rampage status, either because they are currently on a winning streak or chasing losses.

Really insane to think about it that's why we should feel blessed that we didn't end on that act while gambling lol.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play2Mint & Play2Earn Blockchain Games on: August 30, 2022, 11:59:45 PM
Its been almost a year I've first started chasing these type of games and enjoying it so far. I wonder if there are any P2M P2E games worth attention? We could maybe share knowledge and even play together some of those games.  Huh

Almost all games I guess are worth attention but again, the reality is, will they bloom in the future?

Always disregard the mindset of "earning" since it might give you disappointment.

To truly enjoy a certain P2E game, choose a game that you prefer the gameplay. It's like enjoying your usual gaming experience with a chance of getting earnings, possibly in the long run, without having an expectation.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 30, 2022, 11:59:32 PM
I agree, let's say we give Westbrook a chance this season, if he improve under coach Ham then good for the Lakers. If not, then for sure in the middle of the season we might see him get traded. And there are rumors that Ham wanted Pat and Russ play at the same time. So it will be an interesting combination to see them both in the floor. Two high octane players, gonna be fun.

I think Los Angeles Lakers are always open to giving Westbrook a chance.

However, if things really not worked out and they see Westbrook is really struggling in his role or anything, it will be hard for the Lakers to trade him in the middle of the season as here in the off-season, they can't even find a good trade package from other teams. Maybe much more difficult during the off-season.

If they will decide to keep Westbrook, they should risk on him the whole season and just work on trading him the next off-season.
1539  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "The Lower-Risk Gambling Guidelines" Is this a joke? on: August 30, 2022, 11:51:38 PM
Quote
Guideline 1: Gamble no more than 1% of household income
Don't bet more than 1% of your household income before tax per month. For example, someone with a household income of $70,000 before tax should gamble no more than $58 per month.

This is a NO for me. There are lots of "what if" after losing that 1%? The eagerness will still be there to continue.

Conclusion: I'm not setting up any amount to gamble. I also don't follow the "gamble only the money you afford to lose" mindset because there are no specific figures on this. Just be responsible enough to stop at any cost during our gambling session.

Quote
Guideline 2: Gamble no more than 4 days per month

As if the majority can do this. It's a very obvious thing that gambling rarely can lower the risks of losing but still the possibility of always losing can happen even for 4 days. The result is still the same regardless of how many times a person will gamble.

Conclusion: Like I posted above, just be responsible enough to stop at any cost during our gambling session.

Quote
Guideline 3: Avoid regularly gambling at more than 2 types of games

This is nonsense for me. Regardless of gambling on 1 or 2 games at once, the money at staked and risks is still the same.

Conclusion: Gamblers can gamble at anything at the same time as long as they know and understand those games.
1540  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1 - The copycat epidemic within crypto casinos. on: August 30, 2022, 11:44:23 PM

I understand the point of view but in the end, it depends on the users if they will play on that site disregarding if they copy the interface of a certain casino. If no complaints are received however from the original, or a thing called copyright or something along those lines, these sites can freely operate.

Users just have to make sure that they are dealing with a trusted site, at least.

Don't worry though as the famous quote says, "Nothing Beats The Original".
