661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 27, 2023, 11:49:55 PM
So Fulton fighting in Japan is somehow worrisome since Japan is known as a country that has an unfair judging system.  So I think in order to win Fulton needs to KO Inoue. If Fulton failed to knock out Inoue, no matter how ahead he is in point, there is a huge possibility that he will lose the fight.

In fairness to Inoue, I think he really needs to finish the fight with a KO win or dominating performance to remove all rumors and assumption that the fight is unfairly judged.

We should not take that unfair judging speculation on that fight until we see how the match will go.

Naoya Inoue's entire win in Japan didn't associate with controversy because the match was clearly dominated by him.

Maybe just judge the fight after it happened. It didn't even come to my mind that something like that will happen especially at this big fight.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 27, 2023, 11:45:35 PM
But on the actual world stage, that "dinadaga" shouldn't take place in a game like that. Even how good and talented the player is, once that feeling of being pressured especially in a crucial moment will take place, will affect their overall gameplay. I remember Paul Lee's moment before he needs to drain 3 free throws or else, the PH team will lose. That kind of situation is even more pressure compare to what happened last night.

Kudos to all though. Scottie Thompson also plays a role in why the Gilas were able to bounce back in that game after being down as much as 25 points. There are also lots of opportunities that Gilas wasted in that game in the dying minutes, not just Thompson's free throw.

Brownlee's 41 points is a big statement that he's really worth being chosen as the team's naturalized player.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 27, 2023, 11:38:33 PM
After the Fury - Tyson match this is another must-watch match for the boxing enthusiast, not a championship one but this one generates a lot of interest because both fighters are coming from loss, and they need to bounce back for their career and for the title, somebody's journey will end com March 4, it's great to watch non-title bouts for two fighters with good potential and they are both coming from loss because they will give everything they've got to get back in contention.
A consecutive loss is devastating for any boxer, especially for a young and former champion, so expect both fighters to fight intelligently and aggressively.

A non-title bout but this fight is a ticket for a title match, a mandatory fight against the current WBC Featherweight title Rey Vargas.

Actually, this fight is supposed to be almost a title fight as the winner of this might be possible to be elevated to WBC Featherweight champion if Vargas won against Foster several weeks as that win will expect him to move up weight and vacant his WBC Featherweight title.

But since Vargas loses, the winner between Figueroa and Magsayo will have to face him to fully elevate being an interim champion to a champion if successfully beat the reigning champion, Rey Vargas.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Hypothetical Question on: February 27, 2023, 11:33:06 PM
If you were told the outcome of a soccer match, hours before the match was scheduled, and you were assured that it would 100% win, how much would you be willing to bet on it? Assuming it was a 100% can’t lose situation.

Assuming you had millions of dollars that you could put on the match, where would you place the bets? Bookies often limit players. How could one successfully place millions of dollars in bets without drawing up suspicions or having their money frozen? Just curious.

I won't bet on it even though I have millions of dollars. The reasons are:

- I don't know who that fuc*ing guy offered that possible game-fixing match
- There's no such thing as game-fixing will just be offered to random people
- 100% that the game will be fixed is something we can't be trusted
- I'm not that dumb to bet million of dollars for alleged game fixing

I don't know how that thing makes you curious. Better forget that idea.

Selling a Bivol vs Canelo rematch won't be hard since they showed an entertaining fight in their first meeting. The media will hype Canelo taking his revenge, and in case he wins, we can expect even more hype for a trilogy. That's how great fights are made, and boxers and promoters can make a lot of money at the same time.

Wait what, Canelo vs Bivol's first meetup is an entertaining fight? Cheesy

The hype Canelo just turned into a punching bag for Bivol and overall, did not become entertaining to watch as Canelo wasn't even able to give a good fight.

But regarding marketing the rematch, definitely, it will be sold out even without the media will hype it because of the reason that Canelo is popular and one of the recognized top boxers right now and Bivol also established a big name after beating Canelo.
666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this help you win when you're gambling? on: February 27, 2023, 11:25:51 PM
Yes and there's no explanation for this than trying it out yourself, gambling itself is all about fun, if you don't get the fun you can't have the win.

Crappy mindset for me. Makes ways to win instead and that would make gambling more fun. Don't take gambling just for fun literally even amid losses, it's just fine because you are having fun. Can't you imagine how much money you are losing now because of the mindset that gambling is just for fun?

If having a mindset to be serious about winning gambling, the profit will you make here is the reason to have that fun.

Gambling is not fun when you are losing. Smiley
667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 27, 2023, 11:22:12 PM
They beat a good team, the Dallas Mavericks, so there's no reason they can't win against other tough teams. They are sharing the ball well, and LeBron does not have to carry his team; he just has to play his normal game. There's not much pressure on him, but they still win games because they follow the system.

Not good to be honest. If they are against a tough team and downed by that same points, they won't surely be able to bounce back. The effectiveness of what happened in the recent trade will just be seen if they will keep winning consistently. However though, they are currently on a 3-game winning streak and to make sure to keep up with the good standing, they need to aggressively win their next games.

Their next game is against Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers won their first meetup by only 1 point with no Anthony Davis and Westbrook is the second-best player in that game next to LeBron James. With Davis on board for the next game, let's see how that game will be turned out.
668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 26, 2023, 11:38:29 PM
he was able to overcome them until he was given a fight in America where he seems not to have the same confidence he has before.

If you are referring to the fight against Rey Vargas, it's not that Mark Magsayo seems to lose his confidence in that fight. It's just that Vargas is truly different from those foes that Magsayo face before. The notable difference is Vargas has the height and reach advantage and in general, Magsayo is not that used for fighting against that trait. But impressively, Magsayo is still able to win on 1 judge and loses by a split decision.

Against Figueroa, Magsayo will face again an opponent with a height and reach advantage. I do hope that his fight against Vargas will be a good reference on how to make a counter-strategy against those boxers with that kinds of physical traits and advantages.
669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 26, 2023, 11:32:18 PM
Cliff Hodge really played inspired, grabbing 8 offensive rebounds, which also makes him the best player of the game.

And because of that Cliff Hodge's active rebounding in that game, he's now included among those PBA players who reached the 1,000th offensive rebound milestone. The same milestone was also achieved this season by Japeth Aguilar and Calvin Abueva.

Actually, you can really expect Hodge on the offensive and defensive boards even if he can't be relied on doing many offensive points.

Meralco's next game is against their rival Ginebra on Wednesday.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 26, 2023, 11:21:59 PM
He was almost beaten on their first fight but emerge dominant on their second fight by early stopage since Donaire can't go on after receiving heavy blows from Inoue.

Actually, the adjustment you are referring to can't just be seen on the rematch. Going back to the first fight between Inoue and Donaire, the former takes time to somehow recovers from the fatal damage he receives from Donaire in the early rounds. After slowly used on his movement even with heavy damage, Inoue comes back being aggressive and takes advantage of his much more stamina reserves compare to Donaire. Eventually, Inoue won the fight with a Unanimous decision although suffering from injuries that he was not used to getting to.

I do think that this fight between Fulton and Inoue will be a competition on who has the longer and better stamina reserves. Inoue is no doubt can sustain his strength and power level throughout the entire match but against Fulton, we don't know if that will be the same case.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 26, 2023, 11:12:22 PM
It will be the biggest comeback and no team has made it when down 27 points or more.

Is this in general or just only on the Lakers' game history?

As far as I remember and following Dallas Mavericks for a long since then, they already blew a 30-point lead against Toronto Raptors before and that was big news as that was really embarrassing. Not sure about the exact year but that was during the season when Kristap Porzingis is still on the team and that was from 2019-2022.

Going back on that ongoing game between Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers seems that the Lakers will get the win. Damn what a choke happened to the Mavericks after that comfortable 27-point big lead in the 1st half. Sigh.

EDIT: Nice big bucket for the Mavericks and down now by only a 1-point lead. The Mavericks are still alive with 5 secs remaining.
EDIT 2: Final Score: Mavericks 108 Lakers 111
672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 26, 2023, 10:58:58 PM
But I must say, Santiago is never an easy boxer, with all his winning streaks last year, his vigor and fierce in boxing is incomparable.

No offense but those boxers that Alejandro Santiago beats last year can't really be labeled on the same tier as Nonitod Donaire Jr. I can't consider that as him being fierce although those wins are really impressive based on the scores he got on those UD wins and the last win he made where he makes his opponent unable to continue the fight. Aside from that, Donaire doesn't need to improve anything but will just go with his usual fighting style. Instead, Santiago should be the one to think of a strategy for how to deal with Donaire.

Santiago is also lacking advantages in terms of physical characteristics. Specifically referring to height and reach advantage, Donaire already owned him. It's always an advantage for a boxer to have a big gap in terms of height and reach especially in the Bantamweight division.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this help you win when you're gambling? on: February 26, 2023, 10:46:10 PM
So i wanted to share the things i have noticed before when i was regularly visiting a land base casino during weekend and sometimes after work. I have noticed several times when a person was winning more than the usual in poker, i usually approach that person after he left the table what was his secret for those wins, i was literally surprised because 7 of 10 people whom i have asked answered they play gambling trying not to win but to have fun after a long tiring week of work or business.

Does anyone of you thought that playing for fun helps you think better and win with less effort especially in poker than having the mindset of trying to win? Because when you are trying your hard to win, it will make you overthink and that your mental state will get stressed out.
I think this will work for both land base and online casinos.

Don't take that seriously, I guess. As you are a total stranger to those you reached out to and then suddenly will ask that question out of nowhere, do you really expect they have time to chitchat with you and provide you with the details about their strategy?

In order to end the discussion right away, I will also respond that I'm just having fun and then walk away from you.

But to answer your question, there's no technical and direct relation that a positive mindset will give you a win but since we are talking gambling here, a positive mindset will surely help us thinks of a good strategy to win in a strategy-based game like poker. Can't imagine a person playing poker without that mindset.
674  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: February 26, 2023, 10:41:58 PM
I wanted to join the live chat room on stake i a get a notification that only players that have wagered minimum $500 is able to join the group, i love the discussion going on in the group because i see some players sharing and giving tips and at the same time informations.
Is there a way stake can reduce the group wager requirements , because some of the smaller and new players may fine motivation chatting with other members of the group.

That requirement to be able to join the chatroom is just fine and it's a must. Just imagine how terrible that chatbox would be if everyone is allowed to chat there freely without any restrictions. With lots of users lurking on the platform every single day, or maybe hours, expects lots of trolls to spam the board and that wasn't good. Remember the Yoshit troll box before?

Even if you're a casual player at Stake, believed me, the $500 wagering requirement is easy to reach and you won't probably even notice it.
675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 25, 2023, 11:52:13 PM
I guess the answer is that he is more powerful at 122 lbs than 118 lbs in my opinion.

This could be his natural weight for all we know, again no need to diet and not to eat calories because of the weight limit. Now he can eat everything he want without bothering himself and watching what food to eat and what's not.

As for every boxer, as they meet the required weight at the weigh-in, during the actual fight a day later, they are having a boost of about 1-2 lbs as they eat more because they already meet the required weight. They surely miss having that big meal after intense training.

Inoue is probably at around 122 lbs when he is fighting in his previous matches after weight-in that's why I have to agree that Inoue's natural weight is around 122. We should probably have the same quick and strength by Inoue against Fulton at 122.
676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 25, 2023, 11:41:06 PM
Sadly if Thurman won this fight, he won't be getting any title on this.

Actually, it's not that Thurman is unfortunate for not having a title if he wins against Spence. If he won, that would bring his name again to the top rankings and that means a much bigger opportunity in his career. It will also send a statement to any boxers that he's something a big threat again at the WelterWeight/Super Welterweight division as he was able to take down a supposed dominant Spence Jr. Winning against Spence, Thurman will also put Spence's name in shame as he tries to avoid Crawford but in the end, losing in the hand of Thurman.

But going back to reality, I don't see any tactics or strategy that Thurman can put up against Spence as an advantage. Although I like Thurman to win because of a bit of disappointment that Spence's camp is doing on avoiding Crawford, we can't hide the fact that Spence all have the advantages on this fight against Thurman.
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 25, 2023, 11:32:46 PM
I know as a knick fan I probably look at the team a little skewd.  But I feel like they can make a push in the playoffs.  They own the second best record on the road in the entire nba.  They can sneak a game or 2 on the road (if they make it) and could possibly win a series.  They would need to avoid the 7/8 slot as that will probably end up matched against the Bucks or Celtics.

Knowing the competition in the Eastern Conference, your New York Knicks can surely make a playoff entry this year. Doesn't seem to have tight competition for the bottom playoffs spot and even in the play-in tournament. However, it would be a hard attempt to end up in a specific position just to avoid strong teams in the first round.

Referring to Celtics, Knicks are 1-1 at them this season and both games are tough. Referring to the Bucks, Knicks are unable to get a win in their 3 meetings this season even though 2 of those games are home-court advantages. Well, what matter is, they will able to secure a playoff spot.
678  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 25, 2023, 11:23:18 PM
In this case, Vargas had exposed Magsayo's weaknesses, so there is a possibility that the camp of Figueroa will implement the same strategy.  It would be lucky for Magsayo if Figueroa will fight him toe-to-toe and do not take advantage of the reach advantage.

On the other hand, I believe Magsayo had studied Figueroa's fighting style and strategies, I hope his camp can find the weakness of the opponent and devise a plan to exploit it.

I don't think that Figueroa will just literally use his reach advantage but rather just go with the flow with his usual strategy.

In other words, using his reach advantage while being in toe-to-toe fight mode and not treating Magsayo as having a disadvantage. As others say, he's a volume puncher and that means aggressive. Not also considered lucky for Magsayo if the fight goes toe-to-toe as regardless, Figueroa also wants that.

The effectiveness of their respective strategies will now depend on how they will perfectly time it in the actual fight.
679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My $300 bet won $417,000 on: February 25, 2023, 11:17:38 PM
I only chose sports that I have a high knowledge of and tried to bet with no emotion.

Should be a good practice to have this kind of mindset the same as OP.

Not saying it's a bad move to bet on sports we didn't have knowledge but if a bettor doesn't understand the risks, don't try to jump in at those. Only bet on sports we have high knowledge as much as possible to keep our winning, at least on a good streak.

The story is something not usual to see here that's why seeing that kind of winning, I hope I can get it there too someday. What matter to me is, just to continue to improve my winning streak regardless of the bet amount and winnings.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 24, 2023, 11:58:32 PM
But apparently, Bivol is willing to go down to 168 lbs and fight Canelo as long as Alvarez is willing to put his belt on the line.

That makes sense since it's already clear from the start that Bivol will only take the rematch against Canelo with the belt on the line.

But I'm not aware of it honestly that Bivol is willing to go down. As far as my knowledge is concerned, it's Canelo's camp doing the run.

Regardless though, a fight with Beterbiev or Canelo is a good one for Bivol. Let's see.
