741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Signs of compulsive gambling on: February 09, 2023, 11:54:20 PM
Have you ever found yourself trapped in this situation and how did you get rid of this ?

When you are an experienced gambler already, it is just normal for me to feel those.

No need to get rid of those as once you are used to feeling it, you can actually deal with it without a problem.

Not unless you are showing worst, that's the time you need a big help.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Features in Crypto Casinos for the Elderly on: February 09, 2023, 11:48:49 PM
I would like to suggest that crypto casinos put a video tutorial explaining how to use cryptocurrencies for gambling on their website.

What other features would you like to see in crypto casinos for senior citizens?

Putting a video tutorial is good but I think it's not a necessary thing to do. Newbies don't need to be always spoonfed regardless of their age.

It's now up to these old people how to adjust if they want to try crypto-casinos. I'm sure they all have the capability to understand those basic things.

Besides, that video tutorials on gambling sites are more on showing how to deposit cryptos on that said site. It won't surely tell how to purchase crypto in the first place that is obviously the first thing to do before anyone can deposit on a gambling site.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What most gamblers do. on: February 09, 2023, 11:43:51 PM
I want to ask a question. And I need serious answer from this forum, and my question is WHY DOES A GAMBLER DON'T HAVE A SAVINGS.
In my country (Nigeria) there are many gamblers who don't have savings and it isn't help matters at all. Most of these gamblers can't afford for there families but they can afford money they will use to gamble. So why are they not having savings that they can use to help there families in time of lack. Like they said, we save money so money can save us tomorrow. But these gamblers doesn't know that.

Why not ask some of them? Gamblers have a different point of view on their financial aspects and you can't generalize it.

Not all gamblers don't have savings and even if they have, what's the big deal?

As long as being responsible in gambling is being shown, with savings or not, that's what matters.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I'm looking for a Casino which has a similar VIP Program of Stake on: February 09, 2023, 11:41:10 PM

I believed you won't find any crypto-gambling sites with a similar VIP Program on Stake. They are so far with the best VIP program aside from other benefits such as boost regardless if you are winning or losing in that particular session on a weekly basis.

Whatever the intention is, maybe OP just wants to explore things outside Stake if such a VIP program also exists on other sites.

I don't believe OP intends to do it as a passive income providing the level of gambler he is.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 06, 2023, 10:44:09 PM
since as the fight gets closer to happening I have the feeling those odds will get much worse as the fans of Inoue begin to make their bets and  casual fans make bets on the favorite which is Inoue, so at the end casinos will have no option but to give worse odds than what they are offering now.

Technically in sports betting, if the Favorite is attracting more money, the odds on the Underdog will increase. On the other hand, if the underdog instead is attracting more money, there should be no such huge movement on the odds of the Favorite. This is called protecting the margin of the sportsbook.

In the situation here, since Inoue is likely to be the Favorite, the change of odds will depend on the flow of the money but I don't know what source bookmarkers or odds providers are relying on to determine the status of money that is currently circulating on that bet on every given day.
746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 06, 2023, 10:34:13 PM
Looks like the Suns are also trying to get in on the Durant sweepstakes as well, offering Chris Paul and some others for KD.  The fireworks might not be done yet!

And there are speculations that Phoenix Suns fans might be surprised before the trade deadline. With the Suns' new team owner taking place on Wednesday, they might push for their goal by trying to get Durant before this week's trade deadline.

I will assume that DeAndre Ayton might also be included in the trading block. There's no way the Brooklyn Nets won't ask for that. Referring to Chris Paul, although he can still be a big help to any team, I consider he doesn't have that much bearing right now at this point of his career. Other Suns players that are rumored to be part of the package are Jae Crowder, Cam Johnson, Mikal Bridges, etc.

Just a wild guess of mine, I think that trade won't be executed prior to the trade deadline. I mean, that was tough to negotiate within just a few days period (although the Kyrie Irving trade was negotiated quickly).
747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: February 06, 2023, 09:35:23 PM
If I am Crawford's promoter, I'll just make a deal that will make huge income making Spence camp reconsider their actions.

Terence Crawford is currently a free agent. How can he even secure a big deal with expected generated income? Spence won't bother with the money as it's clear he just wants to protect his record and maybe buy some time to delay the mega bout.

To secure a mega big bout, it's more possible to happen if big known promoters will try to do a negotiation for it. Boxing is a business and not just a legacy.

Crawford is defending his title 6 times already that's why he wants to get out on that. Chasing the unification fight against Spence is the better thing to do at this point of his career and nothing else even Spence's camp does have other priorities and likely will stay at 154 after the fight against Thurman.
748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 06, 2023, 09:23:57 PM
Now, this rematch though may not happen if Vargas will make a climb to the next weight class.

Aside from moving up weight, if Rey Vargas will win his upcoming fight, no chance for a rematch with Magsayo at 126 for a title match.

If he loses instead, he's still holding the WBC Featherweight Title and will mandatorily face the winner between Mark Magsayo and Brandon Figueroa.

But it seems that Mark Magsayo is not really looking forward to a rematch against Rey Vargas but instead will just go with the flow on whoever is assigned as his opponent and will focus there. I do hope that his aggressiveness to get that title again will have the same intensity as when he first grabbed it from Gary Russell Jr. or even much better.

Pragmatic Play takes much longer to get you the bonus feature and the only way to get it sometimes is to buy the bonus which in most of the cases pay very little money back like 5-15% and rare are the cases when you win big from a buy bonus.

I believed the chance of hitting the bonus feature is not because of the game provider but because it's just really tough to hit for others while it's easy on some. Luck-based indeed. There are lucky gamblers who can get it on a few spins while on the other hand, there are unfortunate and the worst, the bankroll will be depleted first and not get a chance to hit that feature.

Many people play Pragmatic and I also thought them to be better than Play n Go but I changed my mind and the reason is,if you play 40 dollars with a minimum amount bet like 0.10 it is a sure thing that you will get at least once the bonus round in Play n Go games, normally you will get it more than one time but as a bare minimum you will get it while by playing Pragmatic slot you can play much more than 40 dollars with minimum bet and still don't get the bonus game, meaning their volatility is much higher than Play n Go and as such Play n Go is better in this context.

I understand why you end up on that observation but still, we can't really compare who's got the better chance rate to hit that bonus feature between Pragmatic Play and Play and Go. Anyways, since Pragmatic Play is not available in our region, I never experienced playing at their games so maybe I miss the fact that your observation might be true. My response is based generally on the chance of hitting the bonus feature on all game providers.

(Apology to OP for not giving a direct response related to this topic. I was just about to open my Stake account and try to check my game history there involving playing in Play and Go. Not sure if I experienced winning a decent here since I'm playing at various game providers.)
751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 06, 2023, 07:55:30 PM
..so conditioning will be a big factor here.

Speaking, this will be the first time that Mark Magsayo won't be trained by Coach Freddie Roach as we know, they already part ways last year, in October. Since then, he's been under the training supervision of his fellow Filipino on his team, Coach Marvin Somodio, which worked under Roach for decades and was part of Team Magsayo for a long.

Since he was with Magsayo for a long as an assistant coach in all Magsayo's fights, it's not like a new environment for these two. It's reported that Magsayo, after losing to Vargas, comes back to his regular training since October last year, in preparation for his next fight even though there's no clear opponent yet and plans. Just want to maintain the shape while waiting for a deal.

752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 06, 2023, 07:22:15 PM
Vargas vs Magsayo II, that's a good title, and everyone will be interested watching to know if Magsayo will successfully take his revenge, who knows? we might see a trilogy if he wins.

The rematch is only possible to happen:

- if Rey Vargas fails in his attempt to get the vacant WBC Super Featherweight Title against O'Shaquie Foster on February 11
- if Mark Magsayo will win against Brandon Figueroa in their WBC Featherweight interim bout on March 4

It's not making sense for Vargas to pursue the Super Featherweight Title and be able to win it, then return to 126. He will surely move forward with the new division if he wins. That makes him out of contention in the 126. Not unless in the future, Magsayo will also consider moving up to 130, he might meet Vargas again.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 06, 2023, 07:12:46 PM
Their import only score 13 points, that's below standard of an import, it should be 20+.

Not once but twice and it's on 2 consecutive games. Although it's just usual for import to have a bad night performance, doing that in 2 consecutive games is a problem anymore as they are being expected to always unleash their very best performance in every game.

Magnolia did a great job of acting quickly and right after that SMB loss, the replacement is already set in action.

Their new import Antonio Hester is not new to the PBA environment and at least his experience playing in the league should provide him comfort and not that being pressured. He's now with the team where he will surely have lots of support from local teammates compared to his first import stint in the league playing in Terrafirma.
754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 06, 2023, 07:03:12 PM
It's a risky move by the Dallas Mavericks but it's worth a try though. By the way, for the information of everyone, Irving's contract will expire in less than a year, so it will give Dallas a huge problem if he will not sign with the Dallas. Well, I don't want to think of the negative possibility, I'm hoping that they'll play well so they have a shot of winning a championship together.

On the bright side, those players that the Dallas Mavericks gave up are really not that consistent even last season and compare to Irving, the gap is really huge in terms of performance. As you said, it's worth a try, at least this season as Mavericks really badly need a consistent teammate to their main guy, Luka Doncic.

Regardless if Kyrie will re-sign with the Mavericks in the off-season, I'm sure a Plan B is already set as the Mavericks are already aware that Kyrie is known for always changing his mind. For now, that's not the focus but to improve the team on this year's run.
755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US casinos set new record of revenue on 2022 on: February 06, 2023, 06:53:21 PM
Gambling is getting more popular, just at the US casinos produced almost 55 billion dollars in revenue during 2022, an amount which surpassed the previous record that was established last year, and since any trend going on the US is most likely taking place all over the world it seems safe to assume the same is happening at many other countries.

And that stats were only from regulated gambling operators.

What more if there's data too about revenues from illegal gambling and add it on the whole?

It's been expected already that the gambling industry will just continue to grow as there's no way it can experience a downfall even amid an economic crash, global recession, global pandemic, and even war.

Have you noticed this as well where you live? Are cryptocurrency casinos experimenting the same kind of boom as fiat casinos?

Yes, lots of local fiat casinos are now well-known here and they are popping everywhere.

As for crypto-casinos, no need for any experiment as they just need to move forward in providing good service.
756  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 05, 2023, 11:36:46 PM
I am strongly in favour of desktop applications or even web based, as I think that phones are usually to small and I do not really trust much the apps, but there seems to be many people who would rather use their phone. Is that because they do not have access to a desktop computer? It may also be a regional issue, the same as people that do not use a browser?

To have a better gaming experience, the desktop is necessarily used. But it's not that some people prefer using phones because they don't have desktops.

It's hard to explain but there's a thing in our mind that during that specific time, we want to gamble, we really want to use "this" over "this". I owned 2 desktops and several phones that have decent specs but I used both in gambling depending on where I liked to during that time.

No reasons behind it, no such thing as issues, no such thing as anything.
757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Interesting Facts About Online Casinos on: February 05, 2023, 11:31:43 PM
FACT 3: Roulette is “the devil’s game.”
Roulette is sometimes called “the devil’s game” because the total of all the numbers on the wheel is 666 hence it is often associated with the devil’s supposed number.

I think this is not appropriate to be called a fact but rather just trivia since it was subjective and others won't surely buy that crap, especially in today's generation where roulettes is now a usual thing in gambling.

Obviously, roulettes have nothing to do with that devil-related stuff.

It's just that the game was addictive to the point that there are people turning into devil-like attitudes. But generally, all gambling types can turn people into showing their bad behavior in gambling so it applies to all, not just to roulettes.
758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 05, 2023, 11:24:15 PM
I have not watched their first matches but based on their performance last night, I think their import is still good.

After the dominating performance of their import against Converge last Jan. 29, in which he established 38 points in 43 mins, they still lose that game.

- against SMB last night, 13 points; 45 mins
- against TNT on Feb. 3, 12 points; 42 mins

Magnolia Hotshots is about to change their import, Erik McCree due to his poor performance in their last 2 games. That 2 consecutive games stats of their import is not expected for any imports. Antonio Hester will be their new import starting next game.
759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 05, 2023, 11:12:37 PM
This is a big fight for Inoue, and we can assure he will not underestimate Fulton, and he will also assure us an entertaining fight if Fulton will dance with him well in the ring.

In fairness to Naoya Inoue, no such behavior on him taking his fights lightly.

He never underestimates his opponents and in fact, his Knock Out rate is proof that he is serious in his fights regardless of the status of his opponents. Chasing more titles, Inoue is surely the most aggressive fighter here compare to Fulton that has already had several plans in line prior to Inoue moving up so he decided to change plans and choose to fight Inoue first.

Inoue also mentioned in an interview that Fulton so far is the biggest challenge in his career therefore expect the Japanese monster to go all-out on this match.
760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Casinos Want you to Gamble Responsibly on: February 05, 2023, 10:56:49 PM
I think that if all casinos had that, it would be ideal, a protection system to prevent players from becoming addicted.

Self-exclusion, like the service offered in Stake. It's a program to help that involved user to stay away from the site.

However, it's only Stake-related stuff obviously that the user will be able to avoid but with lots of gambling sites around, the temptation is always there.

For me, no need for such programs or advice from gambling sites if only we know how to control ourselves and try our best to become responsible, as always.
