541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: March 25, 2023, 08:47:26 PM
Quote
2. By chance Spence lost this fight and maybe go for a rematch
Hopefully if this scenario happens, Spence will be forced to risk his belt(s)

Do you mean Spence will stake his belts for the rematch with Thurman if he loses here? What will be forced is, Spence will risks his belt at 147 and might possibly face Crawford although as I said previously, there might not a chance now to see Spence fighting at 147 due to some problems.

I mean that's not possible since if the rematch will happened with Thurman, it will still be in 154 and his titles are all in 147.

I don't know though the rules of what will happen if let's say, Spence will ask for a rematch with Thurman and if he's still eligible to do that without vacating all his titles at 147. I think that's a rare case to happen or I just missed some same scenario in boxing history.

What I think is that we might see a different scenario once Thurman is able to defeat Spence at 154, there's a strong chance that the latter will ask for a rematch but since a rematch clause wasn't written on their contract (I suppose), Thurman has the choice to decline the offer if there's no belts at risks. And if a rematch won't materialize, Spence has two choices, first is he will vacate his belts at 147 and second is that he will defend his belt at 147 with a risk of facing the boxers he ducked. And this time, I think that their influence won't be used even if they wanted to because the WBC is already under criticism because of this fight.

Alright, let's say Thurman won against Spence at 154, how Thurman can even demand a rematch with a risky title if, in the first place, Spence doesn't have any hold titles at 154? Not unless they will make the boxing circus again and Thurman instead will demand a rematch at 147.

Anyways, as stated it seems that this fight will now again just be part of a rumor as no official negotiation happened.

I wonder what's the timeline now for Spence if this match against Thurman won't be materialized. As far as I know, the negotiation for Spence vs. Crawford bout will be in process again after the fight with Thurman.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 25, 2023, 08:37:55 PM
Its like Casimero was been sabotage for on that match that's why the fight between Butler and him has been off.

As much as we don't like what happened to Casimero during that time, they are really the ones to blame for why the fight against Butler didn't happen. Can't believe they are not aware of the British boxing council's guidelines. Even if that rule is not present at other countries' boxing jurisdictions, rules are rules.

Maybe Casimero is planning is next move, he needs to fight a solid rank player in the super bantamweight because he will get a chance to crack Inoue.

That's really the plan, however, Casimero's camp can't easily finalize a deal against a top-rank boxer because in the first place, no bearing if those top boxers will accept Casimero's deal. I remember they are pursuing Luis Nery after that Akaho win but currently, Nery does have its own interest. No choice but for Casimero to challenge first those boxers around his rank. It's a good start that coming from unranked, he was given a rank 8 by the WBC after winning against Akaho in his debut fight at 122.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 25, 2023, 08:21:34 PM

Personally, I want to see KJ McDaniels vs Justin Brownlee in the Finals.

Their expected bout during McDaniel's tenure at NLEX where they are the expected team to beat in the playoffs got spoiled because of numerous delays due to the pandemic. It resulted in a longer conference that time and affects McDaniels' timeline and that's the reason he didn't finish his term on NLEX.

But knowing Meralco is really against a tough team, they will really have a hard time breaching the Semi-Finals.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 25, 2023, 08:13:14 PM
Anyway, the Sixers are still 3.5 games above the 4th seeded Cavaliers so this one lose from the Warriors will not affect them that much so... I guess it really is a good decision for the Sixers not to push Embiid and Harden knowing that there are only a few games remaining until the regular season ends.

That's the advantage of having a good position in the standing with few remaining games in the season. Aside from that, the competition in the Eastern Conference for the playoffs spot isn't that tight compared to the Western Conference. Good decision for teams in the top position to sit out their key players and that's usual to see since then.

On the other story, really thrilling to see what teams in the West will be able to save their asses at the play-in tournament. Every win is a must and losing one is a big deal. I noticed that Utah Jazz, coming from a good start this season is now on the brink of elimination. Although in the first place, they really expected and supposedly to tank this season as part of the rebuilding process.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 25, 2023, 07:46:22 PM
Well, a little difference I see is that a live agent is likely to have access to the account information of the person in the casino.
I am not sure if the casino staff would think it is good idea to give access to such vast bulk of sensitive information to an AI, in the end, I believe that human beings taking care of small cases will be necessary to avoid even worse incidents, leaks and whatnot.

Account information is always visible to the agents. Sensitive information is another different topic and obviously, why such a casino tech or devs will share sensitive cases related to accounts in an AI Technology? These developers are not that dumb not to apply some limitations on what AI can do and besides, I doubt sensitive information will be leaked just because of using AI.

Besides, there are even gambling sites where live agents didn't even know how to respond accurately. These AI might solve those cases most of the time.
546  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are Casino Sites Cheating Us? on: March 25, 2023, 07:38:44 PM
What do you think about casino site algorithms?  Are they cheating with us?

You have to understand that you are doing "gambling" where you can't expect a 100% winning rate for every of your session.

Stop this mindset of yours that you feel cheated whenever you are losing. It's just unfortunate that you lose that particular session.

If you feel like casinos are cheating you, simply stop gambling. The moment you have now understood that losing is part of the game, and the casino is not really cheating on you, then come back again and try to make an attempt to find your luck.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the biggest problem you think AI can fix in gambling on: March 23, 2023, 11:48:55 PM
What else do you think a gambling casino can benefit from using AI technology?

Since AI is supposed to have lots of stored data and information from various sources around the world, I think almost all problems of gambling casinos can be addressed by its technology, depends though on how good that AI technology is being built.

But for simple cases, for example, AI can direct users right exactly to the most accurate answer that the usual chatbot can't do. It's like users with problems are really talking to a live agent where in fact it's just the AI they are talking with but full of knowledge and useful information.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 23, 2023, 11:45:03 PM
Whether David Benavidez defeats Caleb with a bang or not, Benavidez is top in line to challenge Alvarez for The Ring Super middleweight championship fight.  But of course, if Benavidez losses against Caleb then,  Benavidez will be replaced by Caleb and the chance of Benavidez to fight Alvarez will be lessened.

In addition the WBC interim Super Middleweight Champion is Benavidez while The WBC World super middleweight Champion is Alvarez, if we apply your reason why John Rider has the right to fight, Alvarez i think that is the same with Benavidez for the WBC Super Middleweight world title belt.

Technically, that should be the case.

However, there are things that might influence a supposed fight. Canelo sticks to his quote before that he will never face a fellow Mexican although, at some point in his past interview, he added that if things really can't avoid, he will fight anybody. He might consider facing Benavidez in the future as the latter earned his spot to be eligible to face Canelo.

Moving forward, Benavidez is determined to beat Caleb Plant for the possible face-off with Canelo later on. And if Canelo will still insists on not fighting Benavidez because of his view about fighting fellow Mexicans, no choice but to drop his belt or there might be some boxing-related politics that will ruin the possibility of that match happening.
549  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: March 23, 2023, 11:31:03 PM
But at least, he will be given the opportunity to meet his opponent because of the popularity that Donaire brings whether he wins or loses. I hope our fellow Pinoys win.

Just want to clarify that Nonito Donaire Jr.'s eligibility to fight at the vacant WBC Bantamweight title is not because of his popularity.

Technically, there's a process for that, and not just because of the boxer's fame.

After Naoya Inoue vacates all his belts at the Bantamweight, Donaire Jr. is ranked 2 by the WBC, therefore, gaining the eligibility to fight for the vacant title against the rank 1, which is Jason Moloney during that time. But Moloney backed out on that supposed fight against Donaire and it results in WBC to dropped him from their ranking list making Donaire the current number 1 contender for the title. It should be those boxers below Donaire's rank that is eligible for Moloney's replacement but since those boxers now have their respective fight schedules already, Santiago got the right as another contender for the title.
550  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Placing bet on WWE on: March 23, 2023, 11:21:23 PM
considering that those people who bought tickets to watch the fight knew it was all staged, why did they pay to watch staged? I confess that I don't understand this

I don't know where's the confusing part.

It's simple, those people who are always present at the venue are huge fans of WWE and they have their own favorite WWE Superstars.

Damn, even that staged, for a regular viewer and follower of WWE, who doesn't want to see their WWE Superstars live? It's like these people are watching movies with their favorite celebrities. If I'm given a chance, I would not even skip watching WWE Live as I'm a fan of it before during my younger days.

Well, those who didn't grow up with an interest in watching WWE, will never understand why there are people who will paid ticket for that.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | POSTPONED on: March 23, 2023, 10:50:51 PM

Alright, some news stated that Naoya Inoue suffers a "hand injury" during sparring.

I'm curious about what happened though, does it happen while Inoue is in a sparring session or while doing his usual punching bag routine? Maybe too much pumped even at practice? Or if it's on sparring, maybe Inoue really showed seriousness even for that.

Here we go again with a long period of speculation because of the postponement. Almost just 2 months left waiting for this clash and we end up hanging on to our excitement because of the unfortunate thing that happened on Inoue. If there's no fresh news or progress for about weeks, I'll consider locking this thread.
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: March 23, 2023, 10:37:42 PM
Who knows, when you are lucky you will get some big gamblers who will give you big income from your referrals.
So not only affiliate marketing but also non-affiliate marketing can also earn income as long as you have the right method.[/left]

Chances are slim though to have that possibility to lure big gamblers.

These big gamblers surely know how to browse and search the web for the best gambling sites out there and might not be a fan of clicking referral banners or something along those lines. They will just search for the site name and will register without any affiliate link.

But nothing wrong to try though. It's just that users really need to put dedication into spreading their affiliate link and not just by putting it simply on a website or posting it on social media. Putting effort is a must as being ready for the risks as sometimes, even with a big effort, it doesn't have a chance to yield a good result.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 23, 2023, 10:33:36 PM
Nuggets shows some weakness already, and so even who ever they faces in the playoff, they will think they have a good chance to upset the number 1 seed.

That might be a good reference for those teams that might possibly end up facing the Denver Nuggets in the first round of playoffs however, I doubt those teams will really point out that "weakness" that the Nuggets is being shown this season.

Regardless of those worst performances that the Nuggets unexpectedly showed late this season, expect them to change once playoffs came. In a series game, teams will face the same team the whole series therefore, the adjustment per game will only be focused on the same team, different from season games where teams are facing different teams on their regular schedule.

If ever an upset happened though, another record will be added to the league's history where an 8th seed team upset the 1st seed team in the playoffs.
554  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 23, 2023, 10:21:10 PM
Thinking about how trading strategies need to always be changed and how one strategy may not work for a long time, what do you do with the strategy that you are about to change. do you just forget about it completely once a new strategy starts working for you? or do you keep it in remembrance for the future. If you have experienced this before; has any old trading strategy that you decided to apply work for you? Is it possible that old strategies may work in the future again?

Different strategies are created because of different trends in the market. You can't expect the market to have the same behavior and condition.

We can't really stick with a few strategies even how proven effective it is in our experience as there are lots of "what if" scenarios in the market that needs a different approach and therefore, needs a new strategy.

Simply, we will never know if a certain strategy is effective or not, if we don't test it on actual.

There are no old strategies but rather those are not just effective at a certainly given market trend.
555  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Experience of failure and success can help us control the emotions. on: March 23, 2023, 10:17:23 PM
In trading the number one enemy is our self emotions, many trader loss because they can't control thier emotions and it really affects thier decision making and sometimes it will become a reason for the big loss, in crypto we cannot be free from different emotions because everytime market condition is changing and it is really a high volatility market, i think experienced had a very big role on decision making, is this a reason why most of the newbie loss is it because they don't have enough of experience?

Self-emotion might be an enemy for you to consider but sometimes, that emotion saves our asses in trading in most cases.

Emotions are human nature. It is always associated with our decision in trading. It's really tough to withstand every market condition and you can't just simply say to others that they need to control it. Even professional traders feel emotional when they lose. What matter there is, after those big losses that result in emotional stress, traders should learn to bounce back and learn from those mistakes.

Building experience is really the key while being serious about doing trades.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Virtual Betting/ Real bet on: March 23, 2023, 10:12:55 PM
Last night was trying to bet on live matches (Sports betting) although most of the matches already started running and while some have few minutes to start, after selecting about 10 to 15 matches to place my bet it was a bit difficult due to odds were dropping as well changing so I managed to place the bet and it went successfully.

Obviously, expect that placing a bet for about 10 to 15 parlay legs in a "LIVE BET" might have difficulty placing since odds are changing often even for a bit second. Lots of sequences on those events are happening even while you are choosing your bet, as it was a live game.

For me, if you are the type of bettor that really preferred betting on a such number of parlay legs, better to place it on pre-game instead.

After few minutes I decide to take a look into vFootball i could also get some winning over there, Surprisingly i was wipe with their manipulation at this point i just have to quick to wait for the previously bet matches to finished running.

There is no manipulation but unfortunately, you just didn't nail it. Why they should manipulate the results?

The system is RNG. You just really need some luck to win there. Why not try another one and see how good your overall stats in the long run?
557  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 22, 2023, 11:57:23 PM

Really unfortunate that the fight will be postponed when everything is 100% ready and just waiting for the big day.

Fulton will now have to wait until Inoue is now fit to fight. Of course, we also want them to both be at 100% on the day of the fight.

Regarding, summer in Japan, the period was from June to September. I wonder what injury Inoue suffers during his training that needs several months to recover from and for the rehabilitation process.
558  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how will it be? on: March 22, 2023, 11:48:57 PM
Bitcoin price is currently 28k and I have 5k usd fund which I want to invest in crypto currency, and want to make this investment for long term, want to wait until next ATH or touch current ATH.
Do you think it would be perfect to invest in Bitcoin now or should I wait for a few more days to get a good DIP?
I am actually very weak in analysis so I would like to know from your personal analysis that Bitcoin can go below 20k again?

Analysis even doesn't work effectively in most cases if the question is about "when is the right time"?

When buying, you really need to decide for yourself and be brave enough to face all the possible risks.

If you really want to buy for the long-term, then decide now regardless of the price. There are lots of "what if" once you buy but what else can we do as no one knows what will happen in the future.
559  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 22, 2023, 11:45:57 PM
No one wants to pay to see Canelo fight Ryder. There is no hype behind this and who is this John Ryder?

Yes, that was something unexpected as most boxing fans didn't anticipate that match.

In fairness though to John Ryder, although not that popular to others, he is eligible to fight Canelo being an interim champion. Moving forward, since the fight is now officially will push, critics just have to wait for the result.

I reckon what the fans would like to see for Canelo is fight Benavidez! However, it appears Canelo is avoiding him hehehe. Canelo wants a rematch vs. Bivol but Bivol is avoiding Canelo because he wants a unification in light heavyweight.

Better be safe coming back from the supposed wrist injury lol.

Others considered the fight as a tune-up match for Canelo before facing a big deal. Possible for an upset win? That was tough as Ryder does not just have to win clearly in every round but the venue itself is the home crowd of Canelo so Ryder is against the crowd and even against the judges lol.
560  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Game do you think is a Game of Chance or a Game of Skill? on: March 22, 2023, 11:32:50 PM
I think Slots is a game of chance and Poker is a game of skills. Do you agree?

Without even asking, it should be obvious that slots is a luck-based game and poker, although requires luck, can be applied with good skills.

Simply, we can't apply any strategy to increase our chance of winning in slots as everything is random. That's why in that kind of game, always have the ability to limit ourselves during losing and try to take a break when winning big. In luck-based games, bankroll management should always be the priority.

Referring to poker, of course, we also need luck here to somehow always expect to have the best set of cards. However, even with bad cards, a user has a chance to turn the table in favor of them. Overall though, playing poker and related games, a good experience is required.
