1541  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase capital investment on: March 02, 2023, 10:11:26 PM
You can't buy money we can earn money and that is what you're talking about.

There are lots of ways to increase your capital and what you said is one among others and its even easier to let the investment itself to grow up so with the compounding itself over longer period the returns will be a lot higher.

But for someone who start from zero may not income sources like rental income and others so they need to sell their ideas which can make them more money.

I just got scammed by OP (Thread starter), and i post my reviews on thread and my review post has been deleted two times,

Reported Thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5428203.0
Sometimes posting it in the same thread can be considered as off topic so you have to create a thread on scam accusation board with valid evidences to claim your statement.

FYI, scams are not moderated in bitcointalk so moderators don't remove any posts or thread even if its created with the intention of scamming but DT comes into play on such occasions.
1543  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: March 02, 2023, 10:42:16 AM
As a day trader 3 to 5% is very good returns and if you manages to continue at the 5% rate for the next 20 days then the capital will be doubled which looks too easr right but that's not the reality cause being consistent as day trading is not possible for anyone and you can lose the capital value in no time that is why stop loss can be a lofe saviour from huge loss for traders.
These numbers only looked tiny but the point in trading is that you can earn these percentages much often so if you save it all and sum it up, the outcome is still very decent. The difficulty of trading will only depend on the one that executes it.

If you are a beginner then you should also lower your expectations and there are times where you can't make that profit you assume. Stop loss is one of the popular tools being used in trading but I heard that so many experienced and professional traders are not really using this. They prefer the manual way. I think it also shows that they are hands on in trading and has a lot of time to look at the markets.
3% isn't tiny even 1% because long term traditional investors know how much returns they can get per annum which is around 7 to 10% on average but here we are talking about one day which is 365% if someone manages to achieve 1% every day but my point is its not really possible in reality and that is why day trading is risky so don't be attracted with the return rate since we also need to consider the risk-reward ratio.
1544  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I dont like predicting btc price or moves but here is what i think i see on: March 02, 2023, 10:14:15 AM
A newbie who just created an account is willing to teach people about how to predict the price or am I getting something wrong?

No matter how much good with your technical analytic skill its impossible to find the price movements with 100% with constant rate so we all have to remember the analysis is just a part amd lot of other factors affecting the price too.

BTW I won't be surprised if bitcoin falls below 20K or passes 30K in the next 24hr time frame. Smiley
1545  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is to grow your money on: March 01, 2023, 08:00:46 PM
Financially progressing literally means getting rich so your content itself contradicting or you can include the word "Quick" then it can be more appropriate.

When you call something as an investment then the people who invested for only one reason which is making money but bitcoin has a lot more than getting returns which are decentralization so how long for someone to realize which is so important over others?
1546  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Thought one of my online wallets was hacked and robbed on: March 01, 2023, 04:24:59 PM
First of all its kind of confusing after reading the OP that whether he is talking about butcoin or ETH but at some place he mentioned he tried to import the seeds to Electrum but not happy with the user experience do he moved back to blockchain and used it for storing but at the end he said ETH left in that wallet increasing in Fiat value.

Electrum doesn't have a wallet for ETH so make it clear what sre we talking about and next thing why do you still kept the €65 or whatever left in that wallet because you know its already in control of someone so pull everything out to new non custodial wallet as soon as possible.
1547  Economy / Economics / Re: Cash is not trash on: March 01, 2023, 03:22:37 PM
Fiat isn't trash its just a trap, you said it clearly you need cash to buy anything in the Store and government created an ecosystem in that way and renewing the new papers may have other intentions too which can't be exposed to fellow citizens.

However imagine if we adopted decentralized money like bitcoin then any order from government can't stop us from using and that is the freedom and money is supposed to give us that freedom.
1548  Other / Meta / Re: Sample implementation of ChatGPT here in bitcointalk.. on: March 01, 2023, 04:22:23 AM
ChatGPT isn't creative or providing anything new, it just collect information and write it for us which is already available on the internet. But forum is created for interaction purpose which may lead to new ideas, etc so implementation will defeat the existence of forum along with spammers to make this place more scrappy because they will be coming with tons of accounts and keep spinning the same information over and over.
1549  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Confirmations... Why they keep coming? on: February 28, 2023, 05:55:24 PM
Even with 1 confirmation we can confirm that the transaction is almost irreversible but platforms have their own criteria like 2 or 3 in casinos and exchanges and 6 too on some platforms.
It's simple. Some want more security than others. I'm fine at accepting a < 1 BTC worth transaction with just 1 confirmation. For more than that, I find the other party slightly more incentivized to bribe a miner to reverse it, so I'll request 2 confirmations. I'm basically going to increase that as long as the incentive is. If you're moving a million dollars worth of bitcoin, you don't want to even think your money gets reorged, even by mistake.
Yup,.more confirmation the chances of reversing it gets slim but for few hundred dollars I will be okay with 1 confirmation for thousands 3 or more so it depends on how we are convinced and cautious to avoid any loss.

Talking about moving millions worth of BTC still 6 is enough because that is what exchange's accept cause the cost of reversing will be higher than the amount we are moving correct me if I am wrong.
1550  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Confirmations... Why they keep coming? on: February 28, 2023, 03:11:36 PM
Hi

There are 6 bitcoin confirmations required to make a bitcoin transaction 100% confirmed.

But if see Bitcoin transaction on https://www.blockchain.com/explorer there are confirmations that keep coming even after the first 6 one. Can someone tell why they keep coming despite the fact the transaction is already 100% confirmed.

regards
Even with 1 confirmation we can confirm that the transaction is almost irreversible but platforms have their own criteria like 2 or 3 in casinos and exchanges and 6 too on some platforms. But the blocks gets older the confirmation keeps increasing which means older the transaction the number of confirmations are higher which are confirmed by nodes if I am not wrong.

1552  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is Metal Seed Storage Safe in an Earthquake? on: February 28, 2023, 03:36:08 AM
~snip

I checked a few of those and there are 5 ratings from people that do mention they haven't been through the fire with it, so, are those ratings completely true if the box wasn't actually put to the test?

From my army training and the years I spent with inspections on the farm's buildings, there are a few things you need to look at in those so-called safe boxes, the temperature they are rated and the amount of time they are rated for at that temperature.
So if it's safe for 2000C without the time then it means it's garbage.
No safe box should ever have under an hour of constant +1000C, the average house fire goes to 800 and it can keep those for more than half an hour without intervention, so most of those "silicone fiber glass " and other stuff is useless, they throw at you a certification that really means nothing, like the 30$ box that shows a UL94 classification which is for the material itself, not for the protection of the content.
Two guys are asking for the fire rating and the shop owner just avoids the question going bla bla bla.

I don;'t know maybe it's just me but storing more than 1 BTC in a cheap $20 alibaba safe (yeah I know it's amazon but I've seen enough resellers to not care anymore about the brand)  seems like a really not so good idea!

Resellers are out there who is buying from chinese website and resell them on Amazon and just wanted to mention that we can get the least protection instead of nothing with 30 dollars.

Personally I don't use any of those safe boxes because we have a vault which is almost weigh half a ton from my assumption where every documents are stored and its completely fireproof but never been tested as far as I know but on the paper iron can withstand upto 1500°c so it's good against fire and I don't think there will be any kind of flood or something where I am living.
1553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this help you win when you're gambling? on: February 26, 2023, 05:25:24 PM
Doing anything with not much of pressure in our mind will help us to reach what we are trying to achieve but it doesn't has anything to do with the gambling and I think from different perspective if someone is too confident and keep trying until he get back the loss but after a while he is losing more by chasing the loss.

I need guidance please
You need guidance for how to make money from bitcointalk and nothing else, don't get offended and there is nothing wrong earning money here but what efforts are you giving to make it happen only matters at the end. Already mentioned above that you violated one of the forum rules do first you need to read the rules to avoid your account from getting banned.

Then you need 99 more merits to reach full member and can start earning in Bitcoin if you're accepted in a campaign.
1555  Other / Meta / Re: Sleazy sex link sent to my pm on: February 26, 2023, 09:45:28 AM
In default, newbie message already get blocked, so I don't see any good reason to allow receive message from a newbie account.
Newbies can have genuine query to ask someone personal and what if theymos or Global mod thought same as you and decided to disable their PMing feature?

These kind of scams are new which exists all over the internet and also there were some in bitcointalk which can be seens in service section but paying money to watch them N*k*d doesn't worth cause we can see them in HD quality for free on many sites. Grin
1556  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is Metal Seed Storage Safe in an Earthquake? on: February 25, 2023, 09:10:35 PM
From Amazon I can find water and fireproof safe box starting from $35+ (https://www.amazon.com/s?k=water+and+fireproof+safe+box+for+home&crid=2OYU5UWUVG3FJ&sprefix=water+and+fireproof+%2Caps%2C485&ref=nb_sb_ss_ts-doa-p_1_20) so its worth buying and can be more cheaper with some deals and coupons or nearby shops, but more compact the safe then it will be easier to keep it secured and hidden since we are only going to keep piece of paper(s).
Honestly, I wouldn't cheap out on a good safety deposit box if you really want it to be water and fireproof. I am sure it would be a horrible feeling getting one that turns out to be semi-water/fire proof. $30 for a good product seems like a toy for children. I am thinking more like $100 if you want something worth the trouble. And I would also Google any safe I intend to buy and look for professional reviews where they show if the product really protects the contents against water and fire.
I said we can get from 30 so for someone who just looking for basic boxes can consider these inexpensive which also got have 4+ ratings the actual sturdy one which I noticed is 299 if I am not wrong and it looks good.

Here's the thing though - if a fireproof safe was a completely, 100% reliable method of storing things, then you could just put a paper wallet in it and be completely safe. There would be no need for safe deposit boxes at banks throughout the world. Cloud storage would be unnecessary, since an external hard drive in a fireproof safe would be 100% safe. And so on.
But keeping paper in our hands is easier when we comparing with keeping gold and fiat money that is why bank deposits were famous for but nothing is completely safe so keeping at least two backup in different secured place can give us chances to recover the wallet in case one thing lost due to natural calamities and we are still alive out there and need money for survival.  Grin
1557  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Is Metal Seed Storage Safe in an Earthquake? on: February 25, 2023, 05:09:50 PM
Can the average person think about all possibilities? I live in an area where there was no seismic or fires before, but we are near the sea, so I keep the seeds in its normal storage, it is in paper that is not a waterproof or fire. so if something like this happens, my wallet seeds will disappear.
Even if you live in an area with no earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, etc., your home is still not immune to a simple fire. The point is that if your only back up is stored in the same place you store your actual wallets (be they hardware wallets or software wallets on a computer), then your entire system has a single point of failure.

With the climate change I can feel unusual rainy season and pour all of sudden which is supposed to rain for over s period so taking precautions before losing our assets is the smart decisions.
1558  Other / Archival / Re: Bitcoin vs. Inflation on: February 25, 2023, 08:10:08 AM
So this proves when inflation goes down the price of Bitcoin will rise and ironically when it goes high the price even get higher unless the price of Bitcoin affected by other factors.

Bitcoin on the rise no matter what, one more valid proof to hold Bitcoins over fiat at whatever situation it is.
That's probably because when inflation rate is high, people with money take refuge in assets like Bitcoin to save their money from getting inflated. Similarly, when the inflation rate is low, people start saving up but again with the fear of inflation, they don't do it in traditional ways but modern ways of saving like buying and storing Bitcoins.

Either way, it's a win-win for Bitcoin and it's admirers with global economy dropping or growing, we will always see significant growth over time for Bitcoin. More and more institutions will see this change and will surely get around Bitcoin and try to leverage to technology in their own favor.
Bitcoin isn't the stablest asset either few days back it was trading around 25K now its in mid 23K so there is loss of value and its huge compared to the inflation rate even if its extreme that volatility beats the value in a day vs per annum.

But looking at the chart its going up after every cycle that's why people recommend HODL so there will be high returns in next few years and don't panic for everyday market movements.
1559  Economy / Economics / Re: How rich would I be? on: February 25, 2023, 12:55:51 AM
Will those who earn from campaigns, offer services online or conduct business with cryptocurrency be so rich, seeing that they have been in the game long and have accessed or have access in the form of holdings or savings or have its coins as payment in one form or another?
In 2017 when ICOs are at their peak many bounty hunters made thousands of dollars and whether is it rich enough depends on what is our financial needs and status.

Replying to the part I quoted yes, definitely cause even in my 5 years of existence I saw 0.01BTC per week for 20 posts which is $250, and some campaigns even gave more rewards than that so if anyone is holding those assets until now from their signature campaign earning itself they should be at least made 10x even with a current bear market.
1560  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Logo imperfection on: February 24, 2023, 02:12:20 PM
It maybe a genuine error occured ahile rendering the image cause we are talking about something which created at the time when technology is not that grown compared to now.

Or the creator encrypted some secret code like governments did at the time or world wars.

Or he just did with the intention, will someone notice it or not? But it took more than 10 years. Shocked
