1541  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin transaction volume dropping on: May 08, 2014, 10:42:17 AM
People are afraid right now to sell or buy bitcoins. Is bad time to sell it when most of the people buy it when it was $1000,and also they don't rush into buying ,either are afraid price won't go up,or they want the price to drop so they can buy it cheeper.Holding bitcoins over a longer term will decrease trade volumes and act to drive down the price as an effect of inter-exchange arbitrage, commissions and apparent lack of interest.
1542  Economy / Economics / Re: China Banning BTC. Any thoughts for the soul especially the mind? on: May 08, 2014, 10:01:14 AM
I am a Chinese, but I don't trust our government anymore. Just because they always cheat their people. They said People can be freely traded in the premise of risk, but they shutdown tomorrow. Undecided
Maybe is time for a change in China,a revolution! If you say that you don't trust your goverment why don't you do something about it?!
1543  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The porn actress/actor will embrass Bitcoin ... because of the banks ! on: May 07, 2014, 05:53:27 PM
Amazing. Bankers are one of the lower forms of life on the planet but they have the gall to besmirch a porn actress’s line of work! They(bankers) engage in economic rape of many of their customers but are worried about their reputations for having checking accounts from people in the porn industry. Bizarre, IMO.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: How much control does the President truly have over the economy? on: May 07, 2014, 02:58:01 PM
Well if we say Obama has control over the economy, we have to acknowledge that the US economy is controlled by minorities under 29, who make less than 50k a year, since they placed Obama into power through their overwhelming support of Obama Shocked     .

so if they put him there, your saying he had only minority votes is kinda being naive dont you think, There were educated who put him there and middle class that made over 50k a year.  Celeberity support also they surely dont make underneath 50k a  year
1545  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The homeless child experiment on: May 07, 2014, 01:37:00 PM
This is an experiment done by a youtuber namned 'fouseyTUBE' and it's really an inspiring video about people today :O
Just wanted to know what you all bitcoiners thought about it Smiley

http://youtu.be/2Rsc-2oMB0s

I do give to the homeless. A guy begged for a change as he had not ate in two days. I spared him a pound. He was over the moon. Shouted thanks as I walked away. He said I was only one who had bothered to stop and ask what was wrong.
1546  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Woman Celebrates Her “Cool” Abortion on YouTube on: May 07, 2014, 01:30:18 PM
I am not going to judge any woman that chooses to do this. I do strongly judge women that celebrate the misfortune of ending a life. Sick.
1547  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the West gearing up to invade Russia once again? on: May 07, 2014, 12:58:49 PM
I honestly don't see the American people supporting this type of action and there will be major political blow back if you ask me.
I also don't see America doing the first step to a future WW3.The leading governments, the UN Council, and back-benching political and editorial institutions (including the media), would of course know that a single nuclear bomb or any large-scale military or aerial strike would lead the world very quickly into certain and complete annihilation.
1548  Other / Politics & Society / Re: PUTIN SIGNS LAW BANNING PROFANITY IN FILM, THEATER, BOOKS, AND MUSIC on: May 07, 2014, 12:46:19 PM
In this respect at least, he has higher morals than our leaders. The first amendment was intended to protect political speech, not filth. But like everything good, it has been twisted and perverted to let evil men do as they please.

Not related to Bitcoin, but this move is a very serious blow to the Master / Visa. The American credit card companies will lose billions of $$$ in revenue from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

National Russian card payment system established

Quote
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law the establishment of a national Russian card payment system on Monday. The NSPK (National Card Payment) system will ensure the smooth operation of electronic payments across Russia. Both Visa and MasterCard blocked specific US-sanctioned Russian banks from using their payment systems in March amid the crisis in Ukraine, prompting sharp criticism for blocking bank operations.
The West tries to strangle Russia with sanctions and Russia just stops buying western stuff and setting up its own payment systems. Superb! This is what I love about the Russians - no messing around!

Such importance is contained in this amazing speech by Sir Ken Robinson reminding us on how fast we are moving without giving regard to the qualitative development which is very much needed for mankind.

Is China silently conquering Africa?
I would changed that title for this one:
Is China silently conquering the World?

If You look at Your phone or a battery You would probably find a sign saying that it was made in China. Clothes, shoes, Your PC also (at lest some parts) are made in China. Now that may seem like nothing bad but the more things are produced in China the fewer jobs there will be in Europe or USA.
You can say that again!!You won't find just clothes and electronics make "Made in China",last week i saw in a local supermarket ,garlic, and  on the pack was a big "made in china".......why we have garlic from china?we are not able to grow garlic in our country and we have to buy everything from chines Huh?
1552  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your most precious item? on: May 06, 2014, 05:52:54 PM
People often keep something that it's very precious to them, maybe something that someone gifted them, or something you've had since you were a kid.

My most precious item would be my Pikachu toy, i've had it since i was 2 year old.
I have this old pocket watch my great aunt gave me before she died. there's noting that special about it. It has a crack on the face and you have to wind it, and when it's wound it ticks really loudly. I like it more because it's old and reminds me of another time when everything wasn't digital and instant.
1553  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of a role does alcohol play in your lives? on: May 06, 2014, 05:34:01 PM
Alcohol used to pay a big part in my life. I drank everyday it basically took over my life. Then I decided one day that enough was enough. I was tired of it controlling me. I put it down and haven't drank in 18 years.
I congratulate you for you will and stainght to stop drinking and stay away from it for 18 years. Most of the people, like me,stop only if they get very sick .
1554  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favourite holiday destination & why? on: May 06, 2014, 05:27:18 PM
For me, probably someplace high up in the mountains with snow through the whole year. Just take take my board and ride the slopes. I dislike hot weather, and suntanning/swimming in the sea is just not my thing. The last time I've been in a beach resort, I spent most of my time indoors playing cards/board games, or on hikes/sights. But snowboarding will always be my preferred holiday plan.
1555  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Reddit’s science forum banned climate deniers. on: May 06, 2014, 03:56:41 PM
Science is all about questioning the "experts".  Once that stops, it is no longer science.

wasnt the basic of science was to have a hypothesis, questions to the unkowns, and to show facts? that was my view of science was suppose to be based on.
1556  Other / Politics & Society / Re: our USA education system sucks and is obsolete on: May 06, 2014, 03:46:10 PM
arts are great as part of the overall education but a theater degree is just going to make sure you are deep in debt and working at starbucks for the rest of your life .It makes me sad to optically discern so many people put down the arts and inspirit people to get a "real degree" or something like that
1557  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin=Money(?) on: May 06, 2014, 03:34:48 PM
as long as people can exchange it with something else, I think BTC=money.

you may think is money but just like of the ops stated, they are not treating it like that, now bitcoin is considered as a product or did I miss something?
1558  Other / Off-topic / Re: This is the meaning of Life on: May 05, 2014, 09:25:01 AM
Why does there HAVE to be a meaning? We, as humans, have decided that there has to be one, when really, there doesn't have to.Each person can decide what the meaning of their own life is. That's the beauty of being a conscious being who can make decisions. For me, I'm just one guy and I want to be as good a person as I can be. I'm also an atheist. Sometimes I fail at being the best person I can be. That's really it for me.
1559  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ben Affleck Banned caught Cheating lol on: May 05, 2014, 09:23:30 AM
Having an ability to count cards is not actually cheating. It’s only called cheating by the big casinos because he can use his knowledge and skill to win money from the houses’ expected “take” from regular gamblers.
1560  Other / Off-topic / Re: What video games do you play? on: May 05, 2014, 09:21:33 AM
I've played a bunch of games, some of them more typically female-dominated, some of them not at all. I used to pay Nexus TK: Kingdom of the Winds while growing up - that was an MMORPG. It was still male-dominated but there were more female characters there than usual.
