1541  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 21, 2016, 08:43:32 PM
I want gold

Gold is good in long term but if you want to make profits in short term then bitcoin can take best care of it, as halving is near now so if you invest in bitcoin now then you can collect good profits in short term.

gold vs bitcoin , bitcoin sure win. gold is hard for investment and low profit, if bitcoin sure can long term since the community trust the bitcoin

21% year to date = low profit  Roll Eyes
1542  Economy / Speculation / Re: How it went from 780$ to 708$ in hours ? on: June 21, 2016, 10:35:31 AM
One minute everyone is saying Bitcoin volatility is a great thing as it allows you make profits.

The next minute they are bitching as the price dropped.

Volatility works both ways unfortunately.

1543  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 19, 2016, 08:14:58 PM
Well it was but not anymore IMO. The price for gold drops too you can check the charts so it's not a stable income. You might lose a lot investing in gold, so I'd say they, Bitcoin and gold, are equal, but I prefer Bitcoin anyway. )

Bitcoin hasnt even existed long term so still has a lot to prove and like all technology it will be superceeded sooner or later.

Gold price will go up and down as nothing goes up in a straight line but long term trends are positive.
1544  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 19, 2016, 05:28:44 PM
Bitcoin is great for short term speculation but I wouldnt bet my retirement fund on it.

Gold gives peace of mind and stable growth.
1545  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: June 19, 2016, 11:00:22 AM
Personally I'd choose bitcoin right now, because it has all the characteristics of gold, plus portability which is something that gold does not have. Nor does it have divisibility. You can't divide gold pieces easily.

Just a matter of time before bitcoin becomes the digital gold.

and the other deficiency in gold is that you cannot buy a small amount of gold,  I think the minimum amount of gold you can easily buy is about 1 gram and its price is about $40, while you can buy bitcoin even with the smallest amount of money like you can buy a minimum of 0.0001 BTC easily, which price is about $0.07. so anyone can buy it even poor people.

You can buy gold by the grain (not gram)

Which is roughly 1/15th gram.
1546  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is the Shaareeha compatible with the first amendment? on: June 18, 2016, 07:50:19 AM
Apparently more than 50% of Turks living in Germanistan believe that the shaareeha should be the suprem law of the land. How could people eating sausages made of pork while drinking cheap beers full of hop could pretend to rule over the pious and faithful (and worst than all a woman!) ;-)

That could happen. The native Germans are having a birth rate of around 1.2 children per woman, while among the Turkish immigrants, the birth rate is almost three times that amount. And now with millions of Arabs pouring into Germany heeding the invitation of Merkel, the Shakira law is not that far away. May be in 2030?

Merkel will end up hanging from a tree and the germans will crack open the "showers" again before that happens.

1550  Economy / Reputation / Re: "The Pharmacist" need some madical assistance on: June 14, 2016, 09:44:48 AM
The feedback that he leaves does not point any anyone actually stealing from others, nor attempting to (and/or planning on) stealing from others, which is what negative trust is designed for.

So by your definition I presume you feel that all those people that left you neutral/negative feedback are wrong as you did not plan to steal from others?
If no money was attempted to be stolen (nor that someone attempted to facilitate the theft of money), and you cannot reasonably say that certain actions would later lead to an attempt in the future (successful or not) attempt to steal money then you cannot reasonably say that someone is a scammer.

If you were to extend beyond the above criteria of when to leave negative trust, then you will quickly reach the point of leaving negative trust because you do not like their opinion and/or you do not like them personally and/or you do not like their business practices (of which do not result in the loss of any money).

For example, if a reputable person were to extend beyond the above criteria, could say that since you are selling this Art on eBay, which also owns PayPal, which is used by many scammers, you are helping a platform that is used by many scammers, and are therefore helping scammers, and deserve negative trust.

Another example would be that someone claims to be "from" a certain zip code, but actually lives far away from that zip code, however they work within a few miles from that zip code, and the closest post office to their work is in the zip code they claim to be "from", and that a reputable person were to leave negative trust because they are "lying".

A neutral rating is much more complex because it is only used for "comments" and does not affect the trust score of the person leaving it.

But in short what you did was dishonest and you misled the person you were dealing with in to believing a 3rd party was acting as Escrow.

Dishonest behavior = a justified negative feedback.

1551  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Exchange Services | Fast and Trusted | My BTC -> Your Skrill 15% on: June 13, 2016, 06:32:10 PM

In that thread I am seeing 1 person claiming to have purchased off you and three pages of "up up up" thread bumping.

You really need to read up on Escrow on this forum if you are serious about trading.

1553  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [WTS] BTC for UKBT - Below LBC price. on: June 13, 2016, 01:39:31 PM
Hi - PM me - how much do you want for the 0.3?

I am London based and am interested in buying - either face to face or UKBT.

I am well trusted on this network.

Been trading since 2013.

Tenakha

No offense intended to tenakha but I would strongly recommend Escrow if you do the trade online rather than face to face.

Your 3 feedbacks are from 2013 and there is over a 1 year gap in posting history until today.

Could possibly be a hacked or sold account.

Again no accusation or offense intended but always better safe than sorry Smiley
1554  Economy / Reputation / Re: "The Pharmacist" need some madical assistance on: June 13, 2016, 11:56:43 AM
It looks like he is trying to get some "madical assistance", via soliciting the shipping of illegal drugs to him in the US. (the post in question has been reported and may be deleted).

His feedback is accurate though.
False. The feedback that he leaves does not point any anyone actually stealing from others, nor attempting to (and/or planning on) stealing from others, which is what negative trust is designed for.

Not suprising that you defend alt accounts and the selling of accounts Quickseller considering your recent history, especially around fake Escrow arrangments.

It doesn't take a genius to recognise the fact that sold accounts are often used to scam others therefore the seller is just as guilty as the buyer.

1559  Economy / Collectibles / Re: ART - Penny "Bang on the money" on: June 11, 2016, 05:26:12 PM
Wow, I guess you do have to be a well known and respected artist to sell a ten pound note for almost $1250 and you can't even spend it afterwards! I like a lot of the pieces by this artist, but this one seems unnecessarily provocative - just for the sake of it. It's wonderful this person could give up brain surgery, but you got to take the wage drop with it?

The £10 note just forms the canvas and its cash value is not relevant to value of the art piece.

Is a normal picture linked to the value of a blank sheet of white paper?

If you dont like this particular piece as you find it unnecessarily provocative thats fine as different people have different tastes.
1560  Economy / Collectibles / Re: ART - Penny "Bang on the money" on: June 11, 2016, 04:56:42 PM
What is the message meant to be? You basically just copied a ten pound note a stuck a couple pieces of clip art on top?

Firstly I am not the artist, the artist is "Penny" who is a well known and respected artist.

The ten pound note is not a copy - its a real one.

It is not a couple of pieces of "clip art" stuck on, the image is created from a 25 layer hand cut stencil created with a scalpel and spray painted on.  I even posted a link showing how each stencil layer is cut -

https://www.facebook.com/onepennypiece/videos/10153007932368915/

Some more examples of his work -

https://www.instagram.com/onepennypiece/

Also the small single note pieces are the most desirable as it demonstrates the artist's skills in hand cutting the intricate stencils
