I said PAYPAL will not reverse a friends or family nor gift transactions and no one here has shown any proof that isn't true. Only speculation and guesses, while I have personally experienced it.

To get the bank to reverse the transaction I had to jump through hoops for weeks, including taking the defective phone to the branch manager along with signed affidavits from a person that witnessed me opening the package. Without that witness the transaction would have likely held up. I was simply lucky my neighbor stopped me outside to talk, and I happened to open the package during it.
