1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][FIND] FindCoin - Faucet Distribution on: December 24, 2014, 11:41:18 AM
Ok here are some facts. This coin isn't made to recoup the losses people have faced from FindYouCoin. It is an entirely new coin. This coin wasn't made to be an upgrade of FindYouCoin. It is a DIFFERENT coin. So if you are saying it is unfair that we aren't giving you the exact same ratio of findyoucoins then you obviously are wondering how we are going to give away coins from our faucet. That's exactly what I'm wondering about your expectations. You should be glad that we are letting you exchange your coins. Not angry that you aren't getting more.
1562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][FIND] FindCoin - Faucet Distribution on: December 24, 2014, 11:32:36 AM
POS 1% to 25% --> VOTED

Initial Supply 100M to 22M --> VOTED

10M FIND will be distributed via faucet --> NOT VOTED
   - if X millions left to deliver via faucet, this is what should be, of course reduced like market cap reduction percentage.

Swap old coins to new coins for /10 --> NOT VOTED
7.74M FIND will be swapped with existing FindYouCoin holders --> NOT VOTED
   - the market cap only reduces /4 times but you want to swap coin /10?? thats not fair for the people who believes in the coin at the beginning, using the first faucet. You will only swap the 40%, the rest will be for things that comunity dont voted, like faucet or bounties and development....

2.26M FIND will be used for bounties and development --> NOT VOTED
   - I dont know why the developer will get to 2 million coins, that supose 10% of total market cap, coins that you remove from people. This coin uses a faucet distribution. A fair distribution. With this, you broke the fair distribution that begins with old coin. Donations would be better, isnt a problem.

As i say, you wil remove coins from people to do this things that nobody voted. Thas unfair. But is unfair because you are broken the faucet distribution.
And thats is why i think, if we cant vote this things, this probably will be a relaunch scam. Simple Maths.

PS: When i refer "you" i want to refer to developers or relaunch bosses.  Wink

Where did you get these numbers?

A. We've voted on 20M cap, not 22M
B. 10M distro via faucet - think a little. Read again voting thread. We did three votes. 1) 20M cap / 40k per hour distribution; 2) 25% Pos; 3) 10 days (40k per hour) time of distribution. Count it. 3rd vote = 10 days x 24 hours x 40k = how much? VOTED
C. Let's continue our math lessons  Wink If we are voted on 10M faucet and 20M total, how much for exchange left? VOTED
D. I agree with you, we didn't vote for exact exchange rate, but considering voted decisions we've made, we have 20M total - 10M for faucet = 10M for exchange and, thus, rates spread from zero to 10:1.
So we've picked the highest rate possible - 10:1. Now, we all know how much FindYou coins were distributed - 77.4M. Other 22.6M stuck in faucet forever. That's 7.74M new coins for exchange for 1:10. 10M - 7.74M = 2.26M for bounties.

We could use 10M coins left out of faucet to exchange for 77.4M old coins - but that's 7.74:1 exchange rate and no coins for bounties. I personally don't want to use such not round rates because it will eventually lead to errors and it's harder to count in mind.

So - please pay more attention with what is happening with FindCoin - and use your math skills and logic a bit.

Hmm... To count a little more - to recount my salary on per minute basis, it's like around $1.14 per working hours minute. And it took me 15 completely wasted minutes to write this answer, explaining things that don't need explanation.

I'm thinking to start billing you guys for such questions Grin Wopin, you owe me $17 now  Grin Let's here more questions from you  Grin Grin Grin

A. OK
B. Nobody votes for 10 M faucet. if for oldcoins faucet, left to distribute 22.6M, and reduce /4 market cap, the real faucet must be 5.65M. When all people swap coins, will get less coins for faucet increase. a Math Fact.
C. Where is the vote for this?? link please. you supose a lot of things. where is the facts??
D. We must to do this with a votation. because you impose it. NOT VOTED. You are imposing an unfair swapping, /10 instead of /4. You are imposing a bounty that people dont vote. When you swap the coins, you will use coins for bounty and developers. I dont want that. Please Votation
E. The rest of the text is smoke. You want to be important.

And dont be angry. Im just thinking in all people who have old coins. like you i think.

So you want a /4 swap? So now all of the new people will need to buy the coins off the holders. Great idea! This is so decentralised!  Roll Eyes

Decentralised is like you do. Reduce market cap to /4 but swapping /10 to people. Roll EyesRoll EyesRoll Eyes
When we were voting we allowed people to suggest other specs. You didn't. So don't complain that you missed it.

Can you please explain exactly what you want to see as the specs for this coin? I want to see.

It seems nobody is willing to sell @25K sato at cex Grin

that is a sign that the coins are controlled by a small group. that spells trouble for new investors and community members.

think I'm staying away.
Why is it trouble?

You guys (maybe) are forgetting that the 66 coin blocks were 10 minutes apart.

Here is the picture of the windows wallet:

Guys, I quick update:

Quadmium has compiled all of the wallets and we have mined the premine.
He is asking for people willing to be seed nodes so if your computer is going to be on 24/7 then please go to http://www.whatsmyip.org/ and post your IP address here.
1568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][FIND] FindCoin - Faucet Distribution on: December 20, 2014, 08:44:33 PM
Alrighty - I compiled the wallet for windows. Shoot me a PM for what we need to do next.

Edit: Working on the Mac build at the moment as well. I have environments set up in Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu for compiling, just let me know when you see this.
Actually we need you to generate a new genesis block too. I'll update GitHub in a second with some more changes too. Thanks for this.
1569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: December 20, 2014, 11:04:32 AM
Wouldn't any pool be able to do this? Like ones for Bitcoin?

How do you know that they aren't?
Even if there are pools, pools don't save the mining cost.
What point are you trying to prove?
My point is that even pools work, they don't hurt.
They do hurt if they get >50% of the network. People lose trust in the coin.
1570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Pre-ANN][FIND] FindCoin - Faucet Distribution on: December 20, 2014, 10:56:13 AM
Guys I don't know how to get the wallet to work. We need a real dev. I asked a different dev and he said he'd fix the problems and everything for 0.5 btc. Not a horrible price considering what he'd need to fix. But not a good price either.

Donations to pay for a new developer: 1PZxbb1hkqGLmSJF8xRN5qUP2jKRNYaTrr
We could also offer some of the bounty funds.

Guys, sorry for the stupid question, but it is possible now to mine now solo wit GPUs ?

Yes it is. The bottom of the OP has instructions on how to mine.

How do you know that they aren't?
How do I know that they aren't stealing? Well that's what I'm asking.
1574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SPR] SpreadCoin | True Decentralization (No Pools) on: December 19, 2014, 09:10:42 PM
Hey guys, would it be possible to create a pool like this;

Each miner mines to a separate address. The pool (and the miner obviously) knows the private key.
The pool has insurance of lets say, 15 spr in a separate address for each miner. The insurance needs to be paid by the miner before he starts mining.

The miner submits shares and once he finds a block he publishes it to the network.

If the miner steals coins from his address then he gets banned from the pool and the pools uses his insurance to pay the other miners.

Could this work? Or is it not possible because it isn't how mining works for spreadcoin?
The problem here is that if you will find a block and will not try to steal its reward pool can still claim that you are trying to steal it and use both your funds and block reward. For external observer it is not possible to distinguish between situations when you are trying to steal money and when pool operators are just lying about this. Even if pool is operated by some legally registered entity with non anonymous owners they can steal your money and you wouldn't be able to prove anything.
Wouldn't any pool be able to do this? Like ones for Bitcoin?

The pools could make their addresses public too.

SPR will grow bigger than bigger in the coming months. Grin
I believe much bigger than most people think to be honest
My exepected price of SPR is higher than DRK.

Patience, guys, I've been with this coin since the start and the dev is legit. This isn't a P&D flash in the pan. Trex will help get exposure, and we keep chatting in this thread and more people will find SPR. Smiley
SPR is doomed to be a long-term ,slow rising coin. Grin
For a second I thought you said that Spreadcoin was doomed in the long term. Smiley
