1561  Bitcoin / Mining / What is the highest number of shares you have mined in one session? on: July 02, 2012, 04:25:15 AM
Hey just curious if anyone has any bitcoin miners that have been mining for a very long time and has as extremely high number of shares without being turned off or interrupted?

Shares in Windows, Linux, BAMT, etc, doesn't matter.  Does anyone have 1,000,000 shares without shutting the system down?

Screenshot your miners!  We'll see who has the highest!

I'm up to 17 days, 7 hours and 21 minutes.
1563  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Canadians!] Canadian Tire Money for Bitcoins exchange! And vice versa! on: June 30, 2012, 11:00:37 PM
lol I read that article, I almost used that suitcase full of CTM in the listing..  I hope I have a suitcase full one day.  I've just been collecting mine, now that I have this service out in the wild I'm just trying to stockpile as much as I can.  I did however use Canadian Tire Money to get on the bus one day when I didn't have any change, bus driver accepted it!  That was pretty cool.

Its crazy that it took them 15 years to save up that much.  I'll see if I can calculate how long it will take me to pay off if I only collect it with gas in my car...

So you bought the board on newegg, it was listed as a new board or a refurb?  & I would have been pretty ticked off if my order came in and had bent pins!  Thats rough.

+1 rep for likuidxd, I bought a mobo/cpu off him a few weeks ago and he shipped it fast, was well packed, and arrived safely!

I would totally buy one of these units if I had more cash!  Cheesy

1569  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Magic Satoshi Numbers on: June 29, 2012, 05:35:41 PM
I don't think we should even display the USD conversion rate in the client, unless it was a 3rd party speciality thing and non-standard, then it's alright.

We should keep bitcoin and fiat as far away from each other as possible, and only refer to the value at the exchanges.

& 1 satoshi isn't a lot of money today, but it could be 10 years from now.

As far as I know there are no physcial devices - nothing to test yet - the posted GH/s numbers are based on estimates from their ASIC design. The estimates are probably within 30% of the mark. It's likely they dont even have a preproduction unit themselves as the chips are just being manufactured in china as we speak. Speaking of which.. I wonder which company will be their first ASIC competitor? Smiley

I would love it if BFL showed us SOMETHING tangible about the production state of the devices.  Even a picture of the fabrication process or a tray of ASIC CPUs or something.  <3

Right now they expect us to do nothing but trust them.  Which we will do...  But they need to give us a bone to chew on once in awhile.
1571  Economy / Services / Re: GLBSE problems on: June 28, 2012, 08:31:58 PM
I like the site being secure, but the captcha is pretty annoying.  If you enter your password wrong, it will automatically force you to do a captcha before you can log in.
1572  Economy / Services / Re: GLBSE, you're fcn stupid. on: June 28, 2012, 08:30:44 PM
so many GLBSE flame threads, just put an extra few cents on your account so that this doesn't happen?  it's not really a flaw.
1573  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [BitVPS] DOUBLE RAM SPECIAL! on: June 28, 2012, 08:26:13 PM
I noticed the OpenVZ 1 option disappear (although it was very low power its not missed), does the 2x ram apply to OpenVZ 2?  Is the memory increase a permanent upgrade for the server at no additional cost, or after the term (i.e. after 1st quarter) does the memory reset back to original?

Who else here reading this did not see a UFO yesterday?
Where was the UFO, other than 2 doors down from me where a mysterious object crashed down to earth and took out power lines 2 hours ago?
