All the talks this week are all about China launching its own coin, they can easily do that because China's main man Xi Jinping is the one who wants China to create one, while Facebook's Libra coin is having a hard time to convince the Congress to let them launch Libra Coin,

On a positive note, I think China's plan will be considered of those who are opposing Facebook plans to launch their coin but of course, it
will be highly regulated compared to China's coin who will be under the supervision of China's Central bank.

On that point where China's currency is certainly constrained by their central bank, I think it was possible to launch their own coin sooner. Unlike with libra's ongoing debate for their own crypto, which was not having positive outlook from their own government. Good thing about China, President's will was to support cryptocurrency as his words stated the desire on implementing blockchain to their government financial economy. |

The best thing about this last bull run is that it's exposed to newcomers how truly awful some bitcoin maximalists are. It's this mindset which will make people end up losing their BTC gains once the altcoin season starts and people FOMO their BTC at all manner of projects when they see people earning 50x-100x in a matter of weeks without having to even much unlike with BTC where you have to spend significant money to make major gains.
Crypto is so volatile, and I don't believe ones saying there won't be an alt season. Bull season affects both Bitcoin and altcoins. there will be definitely be an altcoin season at some point with many people investing in high potential projects on exchanges like Binance and kucoin, due to the potential of higher ROI. Personally I am expecting a good altcoins season in 2021 near the end of the Bitcoin bull cycle.
That's way too far to expect mate, it takes a long wait just to see the altcoins season begun to shine. Good thing for those who can wait longer, but a sad feeling to those who can't. However, year 2021 is somewhat a maturity stage for altcoins since 2019 short term expectancy was a failure to many holders. Personally, I would not expect the magnitudes of rallies that we saw in 2017.
That was back when bitcoin market cap and total crypto market cap was still very low, so a small injection of funds into the market can essentially be leveraged into much higher percentage returns. Now that markets are more mature and market caps are significantly higher, I don't see this happening.
But the bearish sentiment should subside soon. We've seen a real bounce from the $7.5k level, which is a great sign.
Let us take not of that signs if it could take longer, and I am positive that bearish dominance would still going make it harder. I do hope everybody has learned a lot of lessons, after the previous price downturn, otherwise it would be more frustrating if another bounce will take place. While we're still in the midst of an opportunity, it shouldn't be wasted so we're able to catch the best profit in a perfect timeline. |

I surely hope so, after they announced that China's adoption on blockchain, we've seen a great price ups not only bitcoin, but also altcoins. The market is dull but most of us expected ETH to outperform like it did in first quarter of 2018 post bull run when every crypto coin were going down and even the value of bitcoin was dumped but ETH was steady for a while and not sure why ETH is under hibernation mode nowadays. What might be the reason we don't see much movement in the price of ETH? I know all the altcoins are down but ETH is not same as them but I am unable to figure out the reason why ETH is struck.
I think there are several options. 1) Ethereum depends on bitcoin and since bitcoin does not grow in price, so does Ethereum 2) ICO became smaller and it affected the price of ethereum 3) People started making projects on other platforms. Those options influenced the market seriously, and I think not just ethereum has affected by bitcoin price surges, but the entire cryptocurrency community. It can't be denied that ICO these days were getting too low in potential, many people find it disturbing and waste of time. Much more worst on some of other individuals tried to venture other project platforms, as it doesn't help solving the underlying problem. |
