Read the news about Ethereum and DAO hack, all trade has stoped, plus network is being spammed to prevent further thefts.

Probably your coins are safe but you'll need to wait until trading is resumed.

3 transactions per second...

I don't see how it is undervalued.

WOW, this is huge!

Why is this affecting all other markets and not only Ether/Ethereum markets?
1587  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: how do i make confirmations on blockchain faster on: June 17, 2016, 08:06:34 AM
There's a very limited number of transactions that can be included in a block, if you pay high enough fee maybe your transaction will be included in the next block.

Before making a transaction check these sites:

https://blockchain.info/unconfirmed-transactions

1588  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the price of bitcoin important? on: June 17, 2016, 08:02:45 AM
Well, it is important for me otherwise I wouldn't be wasting my time with this...
1589  Other / Off-topic / Re: TV Series Recommendations... on: June 16, 2016, 03:08:56 PM
i recommend 12 monkeys, Preacher, Person of Interest

Thumbs up, all good tv series.

Preacher seems very promising and Person of Interest is ending, always love a series finale. Smiley
1590  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Centralized on: June 16, 2016, 02:44:05 PM
There's been software available that changes the block size for quite some time, nobody gave a fuck and you could see huge FUD campaigns on these and other boards because of that, people chose, 1MB it is.
1591  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction fees got higher ? on: June 16, 2016, 10:56:41 AM
Network is congested like it has been for months, sometimes it gets really bad.

Check these:

I don't have a file, just a code?

Is this still ok?

Yes, it is.

I now have the private key..

Is it much longer than the recieivng address?

How do I import this quickly and easily?

Thanks,
Rob

Create an account here: https://blockchain.info/

Take all the security measures and don't forget your password, then import there your key.

I'm confused.

Can I uninstall and re-install bitcoin core?

Don't do that until you've secured your private keys, you may lose your coins.

Follow the guide here: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5324/how-do-i-import-private-keys-from-bitcoin-qt-to-multibit-client

Thank you.

What is my "private key"?

Thanks,
Rob

It's what you obtain in step 4. Smiley

4. Run dumpprivkey [Receiving Bitcoin Address] for each receiving address to be migrated to MultiBit. There may be hidden private change addresses in Bitcoin-Qt which don't show up in the receive tab. Run listaddressgroupings.

You can use a 'lite wallet', you don't need to download the entire blockchain with those.

Check this link: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/5324/how-do-i-import-private-keys-from-bitcoin-qt-to-multibit-client

Or even easier, create a wallet at blockchain.info and import there your private key.
1597  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Who developed CoinCap iOS app? on: June 16, 2016, 09:38:32 AM
Does anyone know who is running or owning the CoinCap app for iOS on the Apple AppStore?

I found a bug which let the app crashes and I want to inform the dev about it. The AppStore says it is ShapeShift AG. I contacted ShapeShift here on BTCT without any response. The AG appendix usually means that it is a German, Swiss or Austrian company similar to British Limited. Thus, I am not sure if shapeshift.io has really something to do with this app.

Yes, it's the same company, also you can find social media profiles in the website: http://coincap.io/

1598  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solution to Bitcoin blockchain being too full on: June 16, 2016, 09:26:41 AM
Can we all just agree on a date to withdraw our coins to wallets installed on our own computers so they are not on the internet, and flush the blockchains? I personally keep my coins on my laptop almost always in order not to contribute to the blockchain weight.

This could even become a monthly event so the blockchain could never fill up all the way again?

1599  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: bitmixer io scammed me of 5BTC on: June 16, 2016, 08:59:12 AM
Network has gone to shit a few days ago, you don't need to assume scam, there are problems all around because of congestion.

Contact support, maybe they will help.
1600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed Transaction - 0 Transaction Fee Help on: June 16, 2016, 08:53:57 AM
If those coins didn't move for some time they'll probably have enough priority to be included soon, if not the transaction will be dropped and coins returned to original address, you just need to wait. Smiley
