Do you have a Gentoo ebuild that build from latest Git branch master ? I'm talking about something similar with existing "genkernel-9999.ebuild" or "git-9999.ebuild" ... Not at the moment, sorry.

Any chance of BFGMiner making it to the official Debian/Ubuntu repos any time soon?
I was in touch with some Debian developers a number of months ago, and they did some packaging work, but I guess they've been too busy to finish it. Maybe someone wants to volunteer to help bring it up to date? Or maybe more user interest would improve the priority? bfgminer RFP (including email to post comments)

Spent the morning helping Bargraphics get his first Chilis going. The firmware is not currently compatible with BFL devices, though I'm sure ChipGeek will at least fix the simple differences in an update. In the meantime, I've pushed a workaround to BFGMiner git. Are others seeing this kind of error flood after a reboot with BFSB hardware?: [2013-10-17 22:19:55] BSB 2af: bitfury_init_oldbuf: Giving up after 4 tries [2013-10-17 22:19:55] BSB 2ag: bitfury_init_oldbuf: Giving up after 4 tries [2013-10-17 22:19:55] BSB 2aj: bitfury_init_oldbuf: Giving up after 4 tries [2013-10-17 22:19:55] BSB 2aw: bitfury_init_oldbuf: Giving up after 4 tries [2013-10-17 22:19:55] BSB 1a: bitfury_init_oldbuf: Giving up after 4 tries
I can see the device/proc counter slowly increase in the top area. During 3-4 minutes the errors gradually stop, and all chips start working. Yeah, Bitfury chips seem to behave strangely at first power on. I've got a hack in the nanofury branch to try to workaround it.

Should we be expecting some kind of BFG support sometime soon? One with not so high of an error rate? :-) I'll see what I can do as soon as it gets here. Can't promise lower error rate, though - there might be a good reason for that. Accurate reporting of the hashrate after hardware errors, though, is what the 3rd hashrate is for That would explain why it's missing from KNC's version... hum Well, KnC's current version is based off cgminer, which doesn't have it at all...

How exactly is --submit-threads supposed to work?
bfgminer --submit-threads 128 [2013-10-17 04:14:27] bfgminer: --submit-threads: '@' is not a number
bfgminer --submit-threads=128 [2013-10-17 04:14:14] bfgminer: --submit-threads: doesn't allow an argument
bfgminer --submit-threads [2013-10-17 04:14:51] bfgminer: --submit-threads: '@' is not a number
"submit-threads" : "128" in config file: Invalid config option --submit-threads: Invalid value
Sorry, it's broken I'll fix it in the next release.

Hey Luke-Jr, haven't seen you active on this thread in a while (or have I just not noticed?). This thread moves too fast. I'd have to waste hours to keep up with it all; I barely noticed your post before I was about to close it again :p Feel free to PM me links to posts that need my attention... Have you received your KnCminer yet? Not yet, I think it was just sent yesterday or today. Should we be expecting some kind of BFG support sometime soon? Note the hashrate there is overclocked. It overheated not long after I posted the screen. To meet USB 2 specs, it'll probably be closer to the 2 Gh/s advertised.
how bad of an overheat? and powered hub or host port? could an active usb fan help? Even running at spec, these things get pretty hot. This was on a powered USB 3 hub, with no cooling.

5% is 5%... Where does it say that's just for NMC? The top of eligius page says 105% pps, and doesn't specify NMC only on that. in the end, it's not 5%. Dishonest or misleading at the very least.
It says it right here. You're just blind, or trolling. OMG. You guys don't get the point. getting an extra 5% on NMC doesn't mean you're getting 105% on your total shares when you account for BTC, which is about 99.8% of your payout. Getting a measly 5% on 57 cents isn't anywhere close to 105% of your total payout with btc & nmc combined Is the point that you're complaining about not getting something that was never offered?

Hi, can someone explain me how to build BFG miner for windows with static libralies, like that in the win32/64 prebuilded zip's?
None of my builds use static libraries. They are compiled on Gentoo GNU/Linux using the included make-release script.

I thought during the time bitcoin talk was down this started to get setup on http://drillbitsystem.com/forum/index.php?board=1.0It still looks like its active and questions being asked. I don't wanna confuse the heck out of bartech and his affiliates but that may be an easier way to set up questions for now with a few more tastefull subsections added. I know the guy who runs abitcoin.org, so I could get a subforum for Drillbit there if it is wanted..

Is it possible to alter the difficulty target for the stratum proxy? I tried it with my BitFury ASIC, and it was getting flooded with diff 0 shares, and the miner's CPU became overloaded. I only got around 60GH/s hashrate when the real hashrate was 95GH/s. The proxy could be a nice alternative to get good backup pool support and the performance of chainminer, which still seems to be a bit faster than BFGMiner.
chainminer doesn't support stratum, so I don't think this will help. I tried it with the slush stratum proxy, of course. Yes, two proxies there. As I said, it did produce valid shares at around 60GH/s, and was only limited by the CPU because BFGMiner's proxy didn't set a higher diff target. Another solution I've tried is BFGMiner's getwork proxy, but that won't work because it doesn't support RollNTime. These kludges would be useful only because BFGMiner still is around 1% slower than chainminer with BFSB miners. What does this mean exactly?: "Third hashrate displayed is now based on nonces found, adjusted for pool rejected/stale shares. It should still be approximately equivalent to your effective/earning hashrate, but with better accuracy." At first I thought it was purely based on difficulty accepted ((difficulty_accepted/seconds_elapsed*2^32) hashes per second), but the numbers don't match. That's what it used to be. Now it's based on (good_nonces * (difficulty_accepted / difficulty_submitted)) for better resolution.

I've made a simple test case: http://luke.dashjr.org/tmp/code/setlocale.exeIf you run it with no arguments, it should always print "1.234" If you run it with 2 arguments (eg, setlocale 1 2), it should print "1,234" in your non-english locale. If you run it with 1 argument (eg, setlocale 1), it should always print "1.234" Please let me know what you get...
