1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Switzerland and cryptocurrency on: January 18, 2017, 06:36:11 PM
It will eventually become a crypto currency heaven just like it has become a tax haven for all the money people out there. Everyone involved in bitcoin will live in Switzerland as new elite while paying little taxes. This will push the rest of the countries to lower the taxes if they dont want to see all the bitcoin wealth leave.
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ICN developers fly with the money? on: January 18, 2017, 05:30:42 PM
Obviously, OP refers ICONOMI, not the ICN on the yobit exchange. That on yobit is an abandoned project, it has no future.

On the contrary, ICONOMI in Kraken exchange is one of the best coin, it is ranking NO.11 on coinmarketcap.com, in other words, the price is 0.0004+ BTC.

Yes, sorry if it was confusing. I mean Iconomi, this one:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1587736.0

which to my knowledge, has ICN as a token ticker.

Why do you say it's one of the best coin? Doge was top5 marketcap, even Trumpcoin raised hard the other day, it means nothing. We need good fundamentals for the project.

And as the poster above claimed, how can you trust an ETH derived token when ETH is such a mess?
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / So how can anybody trust ZEC again? on: January 18, 2017, 12:04:29 AM
A coin that needs you to trust that the developers destroyed the materkeys (which would give total and invisible access to all coins)? Are you fucking kidding me? Who would ever trust that thing? Not to mention the insane fuck up they did with the coin supply creating the biggest bubbled all time high ever that will make the graph look stupid for life?

Anybody holding ZEC, can you explain me why???
1584  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Did ICN developers fly with the money? on: January 17, 2017, 07:14:55 PM
you mean the developer of this ICN? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=930382.0 maybe they did run away.
the coin still is listed on yobit, so you still can dump yours while others have not dumped yet. its your chance.

I have never owned any Iconomi so there's nothing for me to dump, I was considering looking at a position because the graph looks healthy, but of course, a graph looks healthy until it doesn't.. so im also looking at the fundamentals, and im not sure if they are looking good enough for me to get invested at all.
1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Did ICN developers fly with the money? on: January 17, 2017, 06:30:56 PM
I've read they are not updating the software, they cannot be found on the forums, the websites are not getting updates, no one is replying... what the hell is going on?

I was looking forward getting a position on this thing since it seems one of the few coins that didnt collapse after the ICO but it seems the developers have left so why the fuck would I want to put money on this then?
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Creating Altcoins is Easy, Maintaining One is Not on: January 17, 2017, 05:23:59 PM
Love them or hate them, there’s a lot of altcoins in the crypto-economy. In fact, in 2017 there are roughly more than 700 different kinds of cryptocurrency. All of them claim to offer something unique. However, many people believe there is nothing innovative about these altcoins due to how easy it is to create them, the sketchy developers behind many such projects, and the significant pre-mines associated with altcoins.

https://news.bitcoin.com/creating-altcoins-easy-maintaining-not/

I agree, it's crazy how nowadays anyone can download a program and basically their altcoin of choice create while being a total computer illiterate. Of course, those coins are all destined to die because they dont bring anything to the table. They depend on short lived pumps. Once the hype is over, they all die.
1587  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 17, 2017, 04:12:50 PM
If I was a betting man Id bet the fight will happen. All this prehype is not for no reason and these are in deed business men after all we are talking about. Business men dont waste their time showboating. Fight will happen some time 2017.
The hype is simply because Mayweather wants to be relevant in the scheme of things and Connor taking a long break from MMA wants his voice heard over the media and so is the reason you are hearing this hype ,for the match to become a reality it will take a really long time and it wont happen this year for sure.

this is might be will more near to do so and McGregor has already get boxing license but this is will be more heated because i heard that Mayweather only will fight for $100 millions but he was highly doubt whether McGregor able to get those money because he said too that this is only about money
If you look at Mayweather's career he only box in Las Vegas and Connor Mcgregor has not taken a boxing license in Vegas and i really do not think that they would accept the proposal for a rookie to fight an undefeated boxer . Cheesy

The fight would be a major success no matter if it happens in Vegas, California or Abu Dhabi. It will be a hit and may sell more than the Paquiao vs Mayweather one. Even if it turns out being a disappointment for casuals because Mayweather does his usual routine of hitting and not getting hit with his defensive style, people that really like boxing will enjoy it and MMA people will buy the hype.

And McGregor is young and explosive so don't count a lucky KO out, it can happen, it would be devastating for Mayweather, that is why the fight will sell a lot. I will certainly watch it and take a bet.
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: iamnotback what do you think of Iconomi? on: January 16, 2017, 06:39:45 PM
I've been also looking at this coin to get a position in. This one, Monero and Maidsafe, and maybe even Waves just hoping it eventually gets a big pump if it gets added in Poloniex...

but to be frank, can't find a single alt that doesn't give me nightmares when I hold them for more than a day. But if you want to get rich, you need to take risks, and I guess dropping 1 BTC in ICN or something isn't something completely insane if you are hoping to at least double your money. I think it can pump up to 100k, but yeah the project is a bit dodgy. Where the fuck are the developers at? some people starting to think they took the ICO money and ran.
1589  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 16, 2017, 05:02:03 PM
No. There is a certain percentage out there who play skill-based games like poker or sports betting with +EV and win in the long run. Did you ever hear about poker pros winning $ million?

But one would have to discern between skill based gambling and gambling in the classic sense (casino machines like slot machines, and other games such as dice and so on, which are 100% random)

You can't include poker on there. Poker requires a certain skill. Im not sure what amount of poker is luck and what mount of poker is skill, but what is clear is, dice, slots and the rest, are 100% luck.
1590  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 15, 2017, 06:35:04 PM
I disagree with you again. Conor is not in a real hurry. This boxing match will be nothing but a side show to both him and Floyd. this is like an altcoin. This is for entertainment purposes only and to scam the fans of both MMA and boxing to give them millions worth of PPV and gate ticket sales. You think they are trying to play each other on social media and youtube? They are playing us, the fans. They will keep this going on until a time they think it is the right time to go for the kill. Both of them are hustlers, do not forget.

Sure , they want to make money, but we want to watch the fight, I know I want as a boxing fan, and a lot of MMA fans want to see it too. It's interesting to see the 2 biggest guys of both sports fight.

Sure, it may seem like an entertainment only show but make no mistake, when its all said and once, both men want to win and they will fight for real, it's not a show when you get hit.
1591  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play gambling in a smart way? on: January 15, 2017, 05:34:31 PM
Yep knowing to stop is a key part of gambling, if you know when to stop you have already made 50% of the job in betting game, if you cant control your impulses you will get constantly fucked by the odds, so you must run with your profits as soon as possible. Oh and when it comes to trading is the same, you must set stop losses and know when you fucked up and run with the money.
smart way to gamble can you find if you can control yourself in the game. but, it is very difficult to do that, in fact very few people who can do that. many people who try it, but in the end they got stuck in a gambling game. if you want to try, try to use the number of bets a little, but do not let you be tempted to keep playing, because it is common.
I guess things that could make you play smart in gambling is when you can get profit in the end.
I mean not only luck determine you to win or not , but also your intelligence.
To have a self-awareness that you won't get a winning forever so you'll just gamble ocassionally.

Gambling in a smart way is possible if you are just betting with low numbers but I do not see any other smart thing about it..

its a smart way that we can do but its not makes us to get much of profit while we only use low amount for betting. but i think its equal with what we spend in gambling, the more we make a bet, the more risk and opportunity to get high amount in winning but remember, we can not always win in gambling so be careful.

Indeed and I think overall its not really possible, if you think about the fact that gambling smart is with low amounts its not profitable at all anymore.
- I think we need to determine the purpose of gambling (Fun or Profit)
- Keep calm, control yourself, stop playing when losing too much
- I think the smartest way is not playing, no gambling will not lose
Your third point is easier said than done besides, there are many people that enjoy gambling and they never get addicted or anything so for those persons gambling is just a way to get some fun and there is nothing wrong with that.
Theres really nothing wrong on playing gambling as long you know how to control your greed and emotions which causes for you to become and gambling addict.Gambling is made for entertainment and shouldn't be treat as a source of income because its really an impossible thing to happen. If you don't want to lose money then better not to play at all.

But not everyone can know how to handle their own emotions by themselves, some people need a lot of external help, sometimes they end up ina downward spiral of addiction and insane depression, they end up bankrupt. Those people need to be locked in mental institutions and they need medication. Of course most of us here are normal people that just enjoy casual gambling.
1592  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to choose a bitcoin casino? on: January 14, 2017, 06:40:59 PM
Look for any past incidents where people got scammed on the platform. Also look for provavility fair %'s of winning, and security measures such as 2FA. Avoid any exchange that demands personal info.

And of course, search for games you like, who wants to play a game that you dont enjoy.
1593  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 14, 2017, 05:15:08 PM
@pereira04. I disagree with you. This will not happen at anytime in 2017 in my opinion. Well unless Conor thinks the price is right. But considering everything at present both Conor and Floyd are not in a hurry
to make it happen. They banter and make funny tweets and that is it. No serious contract talks no formal meetings took place. They are only playing and teasing the crowd that a potential fight might happen.

I think Conor Mcgregor IS in a real hurry. If Floyd Mayweather retires for real and the boxing match never happens, Conor McGregor will NEVER make the amount of money he could make on a single fight against floyd. Floyd is offering double the amount that the UFC has offered him for his best check. So if Conor made 10 million on his best fight, Floyd is offering 20. Floyd is the A side, so gets 100 million, and I think it's fair. Floyd is risking way more than McGregor, and he is leyend, McGregor isnt.
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: can't access mymonero.com how do i retrieve my Monero? on: January 13, 2017, 07:43:13 PM
It seems a lot of people are having problems accessing mymonero.com today, there is another thread with a potential suggested solution I think, but the moral of story is... never use online wallets, it's a gamble, one day you wake up and the damn wallet doesnt work. What's the point of crypto if you depend on a website again.
1595  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any place to gamble IF the Mayweather vs McGregor fight will happen? on: January 13, 2017, 07:13:56 PM
I think it will happen somewhere in 2017... mayweather is very competitive, very smart businessman. He knows McGregor is easy work, he can get the job done, do his routine, outbox him, make 100 millions and beat Rocky Marcianos 49-0's record. He can risk his legacy with a mistake? yes but he can cement it too.
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins that might survive in the future? on: January 13, 2017, 05:00:47 PM
There's going to be MANY! We're going to need a lot of blockchains to absorb the entire world's money supply.  Cheesy Kiss Cool

Not at all. Te bitcoin blockchain can absorb all the money on the planet, it doesn't care, the price can get as high as needed, and the bitcoin token can get as divisible as needed.

I don't think bitcoin will ever lose his 80%+ market dominance unless a revolutionary coins is released that solves all the fundamental flaws. All altcoins have the same fundamental flaws, and since nothing is perfect and since bitcoin got the best developers and the best network effect, bitcoin will remain number 1.
1597  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think "iamnotback" really has the" Bitcoin killer"? on: January 13, 2017, 04:06:07 PM

Semantic games are irrelevant IMO. What matters is how many coins did the insiders get. Steem also announced on the forum but almost no one was able to mine because they didn't provide binaries for Windows, so the insiders got 80+% of the money supply. That isn't much different than Bitcoin's launch.

I don't understand. Bitcoin was released in a private group before it was released publicly?
As far as I know, bitcoin was released into the wild since day one. If this is the case, then there's no prime, it's just that back then nobody gave a fuck about it because the concept of cryptocurrency was so obscure, this is not satoshi's fault.

I hear you. I am in Singapore now to see the doctor. I been working in gym like a beast past week trying to effect some change in my health. But sorry to say, my health is all fucked up. Bad insomnia last night after eating Subway. I can't work effectively with persistent insomnia.

Look I understand what is required on all aspects (network effects, investor ROI, etc). The issue is whether I can be healthy enough to proceed. I am working on that right now.

Can't you outsource stuff or something? From what I understand everything is already done in the whitepaper and now it just needs coding. Of course there is a risk that someone leaks content I guess.
1598  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you can control your self when playing gambling? on: January 12, 2017, 04:35:10 PM
Sometimes it's best to take some food that will react your brain into making your more self controlled, some food and drinks can have an impact on your neurotransmitters and make yo more prone to addiction behavior, you should check this out, this is  definitely better than having to stop by using pills. The best way to create a new habit (in this case the habit of stopping too much gambling) is by go doing it from free will if that even exists tho but you know what i mean just try to do it yourself without help of nothing external then the new better habit is created.
1599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Core 0.13.2 with SegWit released! on: January 12, 2017, 03:45:10 PM
it's good to see this happening, but think about it, all they did was to copy and paste bitcoin's core hard work. This only further proves bitcoin is king and got the best developers and the rest are just copying what they do.

With that being said, I hope to see segwit activated in litecoin as soon as possible.
