161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why the rich win gambling more than the poor. on: December 28, 2023, 10:45:24 AM
Gambling is never the game of the rich winning more than the poor is the game of how lucky the player is and how far the player can go. We need to face the fact most people on the internet only share something they want the public to know about them.
A rich person may post how he/she won millions through a game but he/she will never tell or show the times he lost before the winning and the huge fund wasted along the line.

You are absolutely correct, oftentimes rich people or even the poor only tell their winnings not their losses. In the case that the rich wins more than the poor, there is some truth to it because they have the capital to chase their losses but if not careful enough, they might end up broke if their losing streak continues. Rich wins more but loses big while poor only loses what he has on his hands.

so invest in crypto and other investment forms , but invest more in our health and body.

I couldn't agree more, health is wealth so kailangan talaga nating alagaan ang ating katawan.

163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 28, 2023, 08:38:29 AM
What is the current status of the tournament now?

I just check on their official website and the time countdown says 9 days and 19 hours for the next scheduled games.

Are we already in the elimination/ playoffs? If so, was there a teams that had been eliminated already?

PBA is just taking a break. The elimination round ended when all of the teams played 11 games apiece, looking at the standings most of them had only played 9 games. But even though the eliminations is ongoing, some teams are already eliminated even if they win their remaining games, Converge is one of them.

So far based on standings, no team has played 11 games yet. The team with the highest numbers played are the Magnolia hotspots with 10.

However, based on the standing, we can already tell what teams are gonna be eliminated soon.
https://pba.ph/standings

So if only 8 teams will remain, the bottom 4 will be eliminated, and currently these are the teams who are at the bottom 4.

1. NLEX
2.  Terrafirma Dyip
3. Blackwater Elite
4. Converge FiberXers

Of the 4, I think only NLEX has a change to be part of the top 8.

Yeah, NLEX has a chance to be on the top 8 if ever they win their remaining games because TNT Katropa is on a downslide as they will now be playing import-less as they lost RHJ to injury and per report, he can't be replaced anymore as he was a replacement import for Quincy Miller, the original import of TNT (correct me if i'm wrong), so possibly we can't see TNT in the quarter-finals this conference.

Speaking of TNT, there are reports that Mikey Williams is not interested in coming to the team but he will only talk to coach Chot Reyes, what do you think of this guys?
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 28, 2023, 08:20:02 AM

So this is what I like Inoue vs Casimero, biggest fight next year.

Inoue has not option now. Only Casimero the remaining Filipino fighter that he has not beaten yet. As per his record, he already beat 7 Filipino boxers, that includes Tapales on their last ifght, so if he wants to slay more, he need to add Casimero in the list.

I'm wondering what will be the betting odds when this two will face, I'm sure Inoue is still heavily favored, but I doubt he'll be -800 same with the odds we can get againts Tapales.

It's sad to think that our stony Filipino boxing fighter lost to the opponent via TKo. That means his opponent is really strong. Just kidding, I watched the fight; it was good in the first round.

That's why, when he felt the opponent's hit, his confidence to actually defeat his opponent seemed to decrease. Maybe that was the reason he reduced his momentum to beat it. But a boxing career is really not an easy sport. Many Filipino bettors must have lost in that match; this is just what I thought.

I'm not one of those bettors who lost in that fight between Inoue and Tapales as i betted for the fight to go beyond 8 rounds. There were many options on how to bet on that fight, i even posted some of it, you can see if you scroll upward.

Tapales has a good game plan but everything changed when he was hit by those solid shots of Inoue. The Japanese Monster was just in another level than that of Tapales. Casimero is again taunting him to a fight but i don't think taunting on social media won't work anymore as his latest fights were not impressive.
165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 27, 2023, 12:43:14 PM
Murodjon Akhmadaliev is the mandatory for the IBF if I'm not mistaken, and it was him who own the belt before Tapales took it from him. So they can make that storyline of Naoya Inoue vs Murodjon Akhmadaliev next.

IMO, that story line might not be interesting. I'd rather want to see Inoue vs Casimero as these two have been hype even before so they have a chance to attract more viewers. However, if Inoue would choose to fight a mandatory challenger, then there's nothing we can do with that, and for sure the outcome would not be different, Inoue will still end up winning an easy fight, and most likely another KO win for him.

But they are now discussing a Nery fight to be held in Las Vegas as Luis Nery was banned from fighting in Japan. Casimero needs to be impressive on his next fight to lure Inoue to fight him but if his performance is just the same like the last one then expect Inoue to avoid him as Team Inoue will think that Quadro Alas is just after the money.

167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any fun in losing while gambling on: December 27, 2023, 11:27:18 AM
Over the time, I’ve seen several post, by users here who, claim that gambling is strictly for fun, even when one is making losses and I’ve paused to ask this question “Is there actually any fun in gambling especially when the losses are more than the winnings?”
Let’s be frank, there are several other things one can do for fun aside gambling and I understand that life it’s own is a risk but seeing claims that people see gambling as fun even when making losses is weird and I think it’s worth discussion as to know if truly people gamble strictly for fun without minding if they’re losing or winning

Maybe some of us or at least a very few of us gamble for fun but I gamble to win not for pleasure. Pleasure gambling I think is for millionaires that have so much money that they don't care how much they lose. Accumulating losses in gambling will also accumulate stress and problems so there's no fun in there.
168  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bingo Plus Discussion on: December 27, 2023, 11:21:03 AM

169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 27, 2023, 11:05:28 AM
^^ And just imagine the trash talk by Casimero, I mean he has been calling Inoue since the bantamweight division unfortunately, they haven't face in the ring yet. We don't need to discuss it though, we all know what the reason is.

And it seems that Inoue is now the Filipino torn in this division, Donaire and now Tapales, and other Filipinos that he has face before.

Maybe Casimero is the now going to stop the bleeding and put him name on the top of the super bantamweight division again.

Casimero is once again trending at least in his native country because he is known to mock and challenge Naoya Inoue. But based on their previous performances, I wonder if Casimero can even survive 5 rounds. Casimero is already in his mid-30s and his lifestyle as an athlete is not that strict which is probably the reason why he is performing below world class level.

I am not calling Inoue a thorn in Ph boxing. He's just at a different level and he is even loved and has a lot of fans in Ph. He did beat a lot from the Ph but it's the same situation with his Japanese comrades trying to block his way to greatness. The first time I heard Inoue was when he dared a Ph national champion for his pro debut. I thought, he would lose and in my mind, I was like, how dare he fight someone at that level in his first fight. The rest is history.

IMHO, Casimero is in for the money. Imagine if he gets a contract to fight Inoue then that would be the biggest purse that he will get in his entire career. Casimero is on the downslide of his career, father time is catching up on him and like you've said, his lifestyle is not like that of an elite fighter.

Inoue is Pacman reborn at least for me hehe. If he could climb up two more weight divisions where the money is flowing, Uncle Bob will be more than happy to support on his cash cow.

171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 26, 2023, 11:35:11 AM
Tapales survived the first round, it was very slow, but we can see the speed and power of Inoue already.

Marlon is very cautious in the first round and I think he slip just one left counter, so I give the first round to Inoue obviously.

More movement in round 2, I think both are settling down, Tapales though slip. Just observed the feet.

Edit: Tapales down in round 4.

All Inoue show for now, hope it will last 8 rounds. Seems the punches of Tapales never hurt Inoue so I think in the third quarter, Inoue will throw all he got to knockout Tapales here.

Edit: round 10 KO win for Inoue, he was just too powerful for Tapales' defense. The consolation here is that i won my bet of over 7.5.
excited now about what's next for Inoue, will he move up again to the featherweight division and conquer the 130-pound category.
172  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 26, 2023, 10:59:57 AM
But since the fight will happen today I guess its good for us to speculate since for sure that we can see more great match today. Let see how Tapales end up after this fight since he receive a lot of criticism so I think this give him motivation to perform well in this match.

All the hype now belongs to Inoue, I believe only few really believe Tapales will win, even the Filipinos are still doubtful on betting with him to win. I hope Tapales will be more inspired in this fight as if he will become an undisputed champion, he will make a history for the Philippines since no Filipino boxer yet had become an undisputed champion in this division.

This fight is for Inoue to win, a formality to become the only Japanese boxer to be a unified champion in two weight categories and i do hope that Marlon "The Nightmare" Tapales ruins it all hehe. One lucky punch could turn the fight around and i hope it would be in favor of Tapales.

My bet is that this fight would last 8 rounds, whomever the winner but would be glad if Inoue is the one kissing the canvas.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 26, 2023, 06:18:54 AM
TNT is playing without an import now, but they started strong in the first quarter, good thing Ginebra were able to catch up in the 2nd quarter and they are even now at 37 at the end of the half. During the first quarter when Ginebra was already down, I was able to bet on -5.5 but now if you are interested in betting, you can take it at -7.5.

IMO, this is still a very enticing bet as TNT won't be able to last with RHJ whom they are used to in carrying their offense.

Both bet (-5.5 and -7.5) won as Ginebra won by 8 points. Good thing the last 2 sequence of TNT didn't convert to offense. The factor maybe was they are in early foul trouble in the 4th quarter, giving the Ginebra a good chance to rally with a 27-13 score in the 4th quarter only.

On the 2nd game since he came back, still the best player is Scottie Thompson if I heared it right.

That was a come-from-behind win by the Ginebra Kings. They struggled on the first three-quarters of the game even though RHJ was out due to injury, thanks to that 2 triples from Scottie Thompson in the last two minutes of the game that served as the final nail in the coffin for the TNT Katropa.

Yes, Scottie was named the best player of the game last night and he deserved it as his points were the biggest factor why they won.

175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 26, 2023, 02:40:19 AM
My bet is also on Asian total under 7.5. I think this is the safest bet for me which offer good odds. Right now, the odds on under 7.5 is even lower at 1.55. When I made my bet it was still 1.60 I think. With a boost, that would be 1.64.

Although I hope that this fight would be a good fight and Tapales will really make it hard for Inoue to grab victory, I'm betting based on objective bases. I think Inoue would knock Tapales out within the first half of the whole fight.

I hope this will not end early, if ever this will end via knockout. The good thing about this fight is that most of the people thinks that this would be an easy fight for Inoue, forgetting that Tapales is also a champion. Tapales is very aware that if he will be too aggressive, this would end early but he should be aggressive but calculated aggressiveness is what he needs and stay away from the ropes.

My bet is this fight to be over 8 rounds, better if this will last the full 12 rounds.

Not sure about Bivol though, I think I would love to see him and Beterbiev in the ring next.

Seems that Canelo is not yet interested to a rematch, there were even news that Canelo's next will be the supposedly original of the Charlo twin.

Also love to see Bivol and Beterbiev unifying the four belts at the 175-pound division but it seems their promotional companies are the ones keeping them to not fight each other.

I have read news/rumors that Canelo is eyeing a rematch with Bivol at 168 lbs to be held on May but with that potent rehydration clause which for me Bivol's team will reject as he will be vulnerable if he can't bulk-up.

About naman sa mga technicals ng bitcoin, hindi po ako masyadong bihasa doon dahil iba ang field ko IRL but i tried to engaged on it but just very busy sa work and family.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 25, 2023, 05:51:45 AM
Inoue is made the favorite with an odd of 1.05 while Tapales has an odd of 8.60.
This will be very profitable if Tapales manages to beat Inoue.

Profitable indeed but this is one tough hill to climb for Tapales. To be safe (though also risky), my bet is that this fight will go over 8 rounds, that way, whoever won by decision, my bet would also win. It is @5.60 for Inoue to win by decision but as a sign of respect to my compatriot, I would not take that option.

179  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - December 26 on: December 25, 2023, 05:01:10 AM
We have a fight guys, both boxers have made the scales with no problems or whatsoever.

Inoue - 121.6 lbs
Tapales - 121.2 lbs

No official videos yet from Top Rank but once they released that one, we will post it here.

One thing i have observed though, Inoue was uncomfortable on facing Tapales in their last presser, might be his personality or strategy to nake Tapales believe that Inoue is somewhat have fear in him hehe.

edit: here's the video of the weigh-in.

SMB vs Phoenix and Ginebra vs TNT, I like the 2nd game and I like to bet on Ginebra.

With Scottie Thompson back in the lineup for Ginebra, i think your choice is a good one. They were in the losing streak when Thompson was not there for them but bounce back strong against Meralco.

In the first game, I'm more inclined to bet for the Fuel Masters as SMB might be having some chemistry issues as their import will be having his debut today.

Phoenix ML @2.72 vs SMB
Ginebra -6.5 @.189 vs TNT Katropa

Good luck everyone and have a merry Christmas to all of us.
