it's a method frowned upon in the industry...
...makes it look bad with a logo contest..

Why?

Cool, I like your avatar. reminds me of fear and loathing in las vegas.

It's by Ralph Steadman, he was the cartoonist for Fear and Loathing and just about every other Hunter S Thompson book since. I am a bit of a HST nut, so here's a quote that is very suitable for Lisk:

"Buy the ticket, take the ride."

Good, ain't it?

(You got my vote Canna, you'd make a good diplomat for Lisk and, as you have seen, I'm no diplomat)

Does this mean you're not going to vote for me?
no harm no foul. I'll vote for you.  Grin

Nah, just messing around, I don't want to be a delegate, too much responsibilty.

No, You lost BTC Because YOU used BTER NOT Because BTS or XMR made you lose it.

That's not what he was trying to say.

He lost it because of Bter, how can you blame the victim for the crime?

Are you one of those who reckons a girl asks to be raped because she wears a tight skirt?

Edit:

Well done to the devs on the Bter decision, it was the right thing to do when all the choices were shit.

Well, they've felt no sense of urgency in resolving the many, longstanding withdrawal issues they have from owner's of other coins.

If you send them the Lisk they will steal it.

Can we think of a way to reimburse the customers ripped-off by Bter without using Bter themselves?

It would be good for Lisk to be seen to try to help ripped-off users, it would be bad for Lisk to be seen enabling a scam by the crook Lin.

BTER's ann Regarding the XCR withdrawal and the LISK ICO
https://bter.com/article/6528

Regarding the XCR withdrawal and the LISK ICO, there's too much misunderstanding and misleading information . Here' the explantion from BTER's admin Lin:

People were asking BTER urgently for XCR withdrawals to participate the ICO before it's ending.
However, the XCR wallet stopped syncing. I contacted the XCR project manager Stas for help but got no response for many days.
Here's the snapshot of my skype conversation with Stas:

  https://bter.com/attached/image/20160324/20160324041145_53239.png

We tried all our best before the ICO to get the wallet synced but failed.
That's why I spent hours on the LISK chat room asking for someone who have a fresh blockchain urgently but unfortunately there's none.
In like 1 hour before the ICO end, the crypti wallet blockchain still stopped at ~90%, I knew there's no way to make it fully synced for the withdrawals.
I even asked Max if there's any way to process the withdrawals without the blockchain fully synced (like bitcoin), but he said no.
I also asked  if there's an online wallet so that we can process the withdrawals manually but none.
Right before the ICO ending, our users were requesting the withdrawals desperately. I figured out one way and I told people in the LISK chat room that I figured out one way.
I calculated the amount of XCR in the withdrawal requests and redeemed in one time in the LISK ICO and posted on BTT to let people contact us so that we could record their info for LISK redeem manually.
BTER's users are all very happy with this solution when we contacted with them.

Note1: I used the LISK ICO system for XCR redeeming. It's not from BTER's crypti wallet which was not synced at that time.

we have been working together from the beginning of Crypti and put a lot effort on maintaining the XCR wallet and support XCR as an exchange. I am so disappointed that some people thought it in a wrong way. One way I can proof that I didn't steal any of the funds. We have got the XCR wallet synced well and people can all withdraw their funds to their own wallet or other exchanges whenever they want.

 Lin@BTER

This is bullshit. Bter is bullshit.

I have 70 odd UNITY on Bter which I have been trying to withdraw for over a month. It's gone missing and I haven't had a single reply to any of the dozens of support tickets and emails I've sent them.

It's not just me, others have problems getting their QORA, XMR and other coins out.

We're supposed to believe that Bter has it's customer's best interests at heart and is working over time on their behalf when they can't/won't even sort out tiny withdrawal problems for weeks at a time?

Fuck them, don't let them anywhere near Lisk. They are crooks, thieves, charlatans, liars.

Fuck them, fuck them, fuck them.... do I make myself clear?

when can we claim our coins and so on?

I'm constantly astonished at the number of people who sink BTC into a coin without reading about what they are getting into...  Roll Eyes

Lisk will drop first, like all other ico coins

Looking at coinmarketcap, it would seem that ETH never dropped below it's ICO price.

If I have my figures right, ETH was bought at between 0.0005BTC and 0.00074 in the ICO. The lowest price on CMC was around 0.0015 during October last year - so it's been at at least 2x ICO price the whole time.

I expect quite a few others are the same.

no it dropped to sub 0.00004 on polo

thats almost a -50% loss

No, it didn't.... it just didn't.......

It would be over a 90% loss, if it had happened, which it didn't.

Are you the one who I make most of my profit from?
172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 23, 2016, 01:30:27 AM

That's a really weird quote you have haha.
Anyway, I'm just voting for the people who've been active and who seems enthusiastic about Lisk and having a delegate node.
I'm not choosy with who I vote for, but I don't just vote for anyone with a node Smiley

It's just a joke... knock yerself out....

It's amazing how many people do this and still have no understanding of Price, Supply and Market Cap.

Don't knock it, this is where we get our profits from Smiley
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 22, 2016, 05:58:53 PM
So what's the latest with the Bter cold XCR being sent to the Lisk ico? Any explanation from them? Or straight up criminal act with user funds?

Apparently they did this for the benefit of their customers who are all very happy with the arrangement.

They are suggesting that the Lisk be sent to them so that they can pass it to their customers.... which I am sure they will do..... definitely..... no doubt about it...... no way they would keep it for themselves.... no chance.....

I do nothing, Lisk Devs do and it was just a placeholder, nothing more. If you know s.th. about programming websites, you also know, that these kind of stuff is totally normal. Don't make this thing bigger than it is. Thanks.

I know you do nothing... except for a bit of pedantry here and there.

If the Lisk market watcher shows the Bter price, people will take it as approval of that site. It doesn't matter if it's a place holder or not - although I doubt it is a coincidence.

I thought you would have been around long enough to understand this.

Edit:

Having said this, is the market watcher screenshot even genuine?
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 22, 2016, 02:24:23 PM
If LISK will be listed on BTER there is nothing you or Lisk can do, instead of not using them.

I know that, but you don't have to give them a tacit endorsement on the official lisk market watcher.

Having them on the market watcher implies that you vouch for their honesty, if/when they fuck-up you will have people accusing Lisk of being involved.

LISK Should be totally against putting LISk on BTER.

I would almost demand that they put up a big warning to never store LISK on BTER.

Those guys cant handle your money and dont care if they mess up.

I cant say it enough, stay away from BTER.

We shouldnt want any association with them.

This a thousand times.

There are more and more stories going around of missing withdrawals and awol admin.

Don't use them.
