Any news or anything official yet on the Brazil deal? Any work being done on a MYR multi-pool. Heavy in MYR & FLT at the moment, tough to watch good coins get dumped as the FACs of the world rise.
I sold the last of my MYR yesterday when I saw it didn't rally when every other coin did, that was the writing on the wall for me, I fully expect it to fall for a day or two. Supporters of this coin really need to stop wittering on about algorithms and hashrates and do something to entice new buyers in - some real world application. It's my opinion that the Brazil thing has been a squandered opportunity and now there are questions of authenticity over Bryce - A MZC/Payu Harris kind of scenario that hasn't played out well. There are now newer coins with similar function that also have an eye on marketing, it won't be long before one of these leaves MYR for dust. I know some say that MYR is a jewel that will shine amongst the crap and, as such, needs no publicity. This is a foolish and arrogant attitude because, believe me, the real world couldn't care less about alts at the moment.

I got 14 blocks in the first 20 seconds (I was up and running very quickly, from block 20 something) then nothing at all afterwards bevause of the bleeding KGW, should be turned off for the first couple of hundred blocks really, some of us have sat here for quite a while waiting for launch without any real benefit for doing so.
DGW kicked in at block 30 and you got 14 of those blocks. Exactly the reason why we chose to have DGW kick in so early, once someone starts finding blocks it's very hard for anyone else to solve any. Pool's got up and running early (thanks to the pool owner's) and we believe that's the fairest way to distribute coins during a launch. That's not my experience, I have found that low diff at launch causes blocks to be solved so fast that acceptance depends wholly on ping which is all over the place at launch, I find that I will get a number of blocks in a row then nothing for a while as my ping decays. The reason I got 14 of those blocks is because I was solo'ing very, very quickly, that would change as others got up and running. Exactly the reason why we chose to have DGW kick in so early, once someone starts finding blocks it's very hard for anyone else to solve anyTell that to those who got nothing. Not hating on the coin by the way, just a difference of opinion, otherwise a very good launch.

"There will be no mining, but instead all server owners will receive constant rewards for running their nodes."
Would it be possible to code this for Raspberry PI? It was attempted by NXT with limited success in my opinion, but it does make great sense as a low power, easy to operate node with which to maintain network integrity.

NEWSOk, for those wondering why the price of MYR has shot up, here's the news...... Myriad is about to be partially re-branded as a coin for Brazil, but without the airdrop and it's attendant problems, but more an educational exercise with the likes of Bryce Weiner playing a major role in the project. You can see Bryce's talk yesterday about Myriad, Brazil and his involvement here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22ToGW_dOFANB: I am struggling to believe that I have had to write this over seven hours after the video was posted, where is the publicity machine devs? If this were Blackcoin, the devs would have been on to it like wildfire, but here everybody has to root around and find what's causing the price rise for themselves - madness. LOL... how could you miss that!? Because I wasn't looking for it, like 99.9999% people - to get anywhere this coin needs to bring in fresh users, real people - they don't have the time to check this stuff out, they may not know it even exists.

Could this be the reason why SHA algo difficulties suddenly shoot up 4 x in less than an hour ? Its still holding the difficulties. Big BTC miner moving in before the big raise in value ? I don't know, I've been mining Skein and Scrypt and haven't noticed any huge diff increase there, but I don't look that often so I may miss changes.

Just wondering or did I mix tings up ? rt2 (rotocoin) did exactly say the same and same video.... ?! Errrr, I hope not, you're scaring me now..... I've done a search for bryce and roto and can't find anything significant. Im sorry ! I mixed things up. Page 156 of this thread was the link and not roto. Im to much in this forum.... This is exactly what I mean, someone needs to take charge of publicity, put it all in one place and make it absolutely clear what is going on with MYR. There's barely a mention about this significant development on the MYR Twitter account.

Anybody else get this error? What does it mean? Yes, this is exactly what I am getting.... I think it means we're fucked. This is a GAME (EXE). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2lXPeNR3eoThis is a Proof of Hatred, kkkkkkYou can see too: Right Click -> Properties -> Details Ok, it seems straight answers are hard to come by here so I'm giving up on it - guaranteeing that this coin is moonward bound Good luck guys, whatever the fuck you are doing......

Still kinda new to this whole cryptocurrency thing and was wondering if these numbers where correct or a gross overstatement? 30,000 USD$ a day at 2600 coins??? If they are real estimates about how long tell I can cash out at this price in BTC because this just seems to good to be true and most the time when it sounds to good it is Lol, sorry to disappoint....... you're not getting that kind of money, the pool op has been lazy and not set it up properly.

OK, I've trawled through the thread and am none the wiser.... wtf is this? I appear to have downloaded some half-assed game that refuses to run on W7 x64, I just keep getting a "System cannot find the path specified" error. I've done the secret phrase hash thing, but that obviously made no difference. Is someone taking the piss out of me? Oh, the miner also doesn't work, complains of being incompatible with either 32 or 64 bit windows, but doesn't say which it requires - which is helpful....

Guys, this coin is a cool idea, but it's just a technical exercise between geeks at the moment - it stands no chance of success if it's not promoted to real people and fresh hands are enticed in.
In this way it reminds me of aircoin, lots of brains but little interest in marketing and , like aircoin, time will run out.
Is anyone working on a media push?
Probably true. Any idea's on how we can do this? It's a tricky one because, at the moment, this coin is fairly and squarely aimed at geeks and miners, there's not a lot to entice non-crypto types into the fold. We should look at other coins and see how they have done it, BC and DRK are probably good examples to look at. We should also look at AIR to see how not to do it. Edit: Ok, Myriad's big thing is security, how do we bring that to the fore? Could we maybe get a uni's math or computer department involved? Some kind of hacking competition? If we think MYR is secure, we should put it to the test - shows confidence and transparency. I'm just throwing this out, it's prolly a crap idea. To be honest, I would usually say yeah, yeah, yeah, I've heard that before (see Aircoin), but coming from you I am happy to give you the benefit of doubt.
