I think that the embedded image option should be the rolling 30 day since it is just a single number. And Shazam, I am right that javascript is not easy to add to a signature and it needs to be an image for the most people to embed the value?
I'm not sure the forum allows either in a signature. However, links to the embedded image is rather easy. Also, I just posted your web link in a promotion.  I'm all for transparency; however, promoting the rolling # first makes sense and then providing the MTD # as well would probably be the best in my opinion. This would not only promote the pool in the best light* but also provide full disclosure of the current month numbers. * It's rare that people slurp their soup/spaghetti on the first date! This does make sense. I believe that's how he intends to set it up. I was just basing my decision on one, or, the other. |

Thanks for the help!!! A simple 1 month spread sheet with 1 S9, like swanny88 did, would be great. Since alot of people use S9's it gives people a good base to start with, when comparing their equipment. This way, it could help people with X amount of S9's or similar hashrates.

I will also make an image for the monthly BTC / day / Th (what I have been calling CDT). I would think that a rolling 30 day average would giver a better idea. Iīm not so sure that folks will understand the low numbers at the start of a month. The start of this month would have looked horrible with the two 300%+ blocks, and if not interpreted correctly, may dissuade new members. You are correct. The very beginning looks negative. However, the days following show the reality of the variance. I feel that if we don't show both sides, the bad and the good, it will be misleading or misunderstood to potential new members. Most people would not Promote this way, but the transparency of Kano's Pool, is one of the greatest key points he offers. Nothing is hidden, not even the long blocks. |

OT, but I'm really looking forward to performing a rite of passage--we should at least get badges or something--by making a 220v NEMA 10-30 (3 prong dryer plug) to C13 (female PSU plug) power cord for the 1200w HP server PSU that I'm using to run my Avalon6...
Just out of curiosity, though...
* Has anyone ran into any issues with their dryer outlet not being surge protected? I'm currently dedicating a heavy duty surge protector to my mining rig
* Also, is it true that the PSU will run cooler--how to even tell, I don't know--on 220v vs. 110v?
Although I don't use the 10-30, if your breaker box is properly grounded, and you're using appropriately rated amps per breaker, you shouldn't have to worry about "surge" protectors. I wired up 6-20's, with 10-2 gauge at 220. I just keep my amps about 80% under the breaker threshold. I've lost power a few times in the last couple of months, and a few times it had a "flicker" before going out. At that point, the main breaker for my miners "popped". So, when the power came on, then off, then on, they had no power hitting them. Even at that point, had the breaker not "popped", the psu's should have caught the problem--if there was one. Most psu's are made to protect your equipment in situations like this. As far as 110 vs. 220, 220 allows you to pull lower amps, which in turn lowers the temp, in your power lines running TO your psu's. I've never worried too much about my psu temps, as they hardly ever get warm to the touch. This includes 2 apw3++, 2 sorcerer, and 2 whatsminer m3 psu's. Even recently on 88°f days, they're pretty cool. |

Just an update for people who were curious: My DragonMint (and PSU) arrived. I'm going to drive down to my mine and set it up after the weekend, and am working with Kano to make sure he can use it to test ASICBOOST.

That's all nice but you need to include 7 BTC giveaway if Kano agrees. Also no use of graphics if members have less that 10 merits. Personally not fishing for smerits.
Thanks for your input. I actually considered the 7 BTC giveaway while designing these. I then thought, what happens when it becomes 6 BTC??? Are people going to change their codes??? What if someone doesn't, or they lose their account??? It would look terrible for the Pool having a banner saying 7, but in reality, they're gone. I posted a banner for each rank. I believe you should be able to use that Jr. Member banner, it doesn't have graphics. So, I have been making us some Signature banners for Promoting, and received a request....

I agree coupons should absolutely go to someone that's been mining the pool longer. On the other hand, if they expire, what good are they? I just started my mining setup a couple of weeks ago at 53th/s and want to expand to 120th/s. I didn't have the enough service amperage to begin with the 10 miners that I wanted so I started with what I could handle. I started in a corporate pool but stumbled upon Kano only last week and immediately moved over. Look at the pool stats. So, yep, I'm just the FNG, but I will be purchasing 5 more miners this week with or without coupons. Unfortunately newbies are not well received on bitcointalk. Visit some other areas of the forum, and you'll quickly see many newbies are one line Shitposters, who are here for Money, not Bitcoin or its community. So, in your situation, it can be very aggravating. I can remember being a newbie too, however many people have forgotten what it feels like to be shunned. With that...many people here are incredibly helpful, but some have been burned, so the Walls are very tall and finite. Hi guys, i have 6 pangolin whatsminer m3 working, all of them from the same batch but two of the miners have the alarm red light blinking constantly. I tried factory reseting, restarting cgminer, but no luck. Both miners are mining perfectly but i'm concerned about what does the blinking alarm light mean. Has anyone had this issue before?

I have 1 that does this. It works perfectly. The light started blinking after I dropped internet one day, and it idled for 10hrs in a 15°f room. It will not go away. The miner runs perfectly, so I never contacted Pangolinminer about it. If you figure out how to make it stop, please share here. Goodluck!!! |

I have 200 amp service. I'm checking on how many miner will max this out. I heard 6.
It would make a difference if you're running 220/240 or 110/120, but with 220, I have 4 running. Pulling around 19 amps. |

Thanks for the help!!! A simple 1 month spread sheet with 1 S9, like swanny88 did, would be great. Since alot of people use S9's it gives people a good base to start with, when comparing their equipment. This way, it could help people with X amount of S9's or similar hashrates.
