161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 09, 2023, 11:00:19 AM

NZ got a good start today and Netherlands bowlers are not getting wickets as they were getting in game against Pakistan. If NZ keep moving like that then they will surely finish giving target of over 300 runs. Odds are already in favour of NZ and they are in full control of the match right now. Netherlands bowlers must work hard to get wikcets to restrict NZ.

I think Indian pitches are proving to be very favorable for batting. Therefore, giving a target above 300 runs is not that difficult. On the other hand, the Netherlands team is not so experienced team, so New Zealand can easily make a big score against them. If you look at the batting of Holland, the batting of Netherlands is not strong enough to face a strong bowling attack like New Zealand.

Even if they limit the scores of the New Zealand batsmen, it will still be difficult for the Dutch batsmen to win the match, because they also limited the Pakistan team to a low target, but then proved to be helpless in front of Pakistani bowling, While I think New Zealand's bowling attack is much stronger than Pakistan's. Currently, New Zealand have scored 150 runs for the loss of two wickets in 28 overs. From which it can be estimated that New Zealand will be able to give a big target.
Almost every pitch is good for batting. This is really bad for the bowlers and increase the pressure upon the bowlers whereas the batsmen enjoy. However these pitches in favour of batting makes us more interested in watching the Matches. If these matches were low scoring surely there'll be lack of interest watching the Matches. Every match played till date in the World Cup 2023 is good scoring. In today's match I expect a score of atleast 350 runs. As of now New Zealand have reached 185/3. Rachin Ravindra who scored a century in the match against England scored 51 and lost his wicket to Van der Merwe.
162  Economy / Economics / Re: Women are more economical than men. on: October 09, 2023, 10:27:21 AM
I then remembered that in married life, the woman should be the treasurer.

I guess most of you who are saying that women are more economical than men live in third world countries, where they have a more traditional role, do not work or do not work as much and take care of the domestic economy. In developed countries, women who save do not even reach 5%. They spend it all. Clothing companies know this and if you have a store with two levels, first floor and second floor, the women's section is ALWAYS on the first floor at street level, because they know that they are more impulsive and this brings them more sales.

My grandmother's generation was like that, but the generation of polyamorous instagrammers who end up single at 40-something with a bunch of cats and hooked on anxiolytics are very different.

What you have said seems to be true. I'm from third world country. Even when both are earning equally, the treasurer used to be Women. This is all because, Women used to understand well about the present situation and have futuristic plans. To have the better future they spend it in a well planned manner than a men who always finds to tackle the present situation. Even in our country urban women were different in the way of spending.

Myself have seen women on the Urban region spending half their earnings into beauty products and to groom them. The way they're grown-up also makes a difference when it comes to spending.
163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: October 08, 2023, 11:50:38 PM
We've got skill based gambling as well as  luck based gambling. However in all means there is need of luck without which gambling doesn't bring win. Casino games were purely luck based, because we just go on random prediction and not by calculated pick. Calculated picks were also like random ones, because it brings win as well as unexpected loss. If luck had favour it could've been a win.

In the history of gambling there are people who have learnt the scripts and have made big money out of gambling. This is really hard and not everyone able to do it. Those are old days and now everything is highly confidential and we were able to find how fair is the rolls. Overall luck decides the win and to be on the safer side sports betting seems to be the right pick.
164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can’t cope on my own. What do you think I should do? on: October 08, 2023, 05:29:39 AM
Here the decision is with OP. He needs to take it rather than getting other people's opinions. He has won through the free signals, as the time ends he's supposed to go with VIP subscription. If he hadn't taken subscription and lost the next bet, his mind will think he had lost just because he hadn't got the right signal from the channel. Op's mind had got prepared in such a way.

My suggestion is to make an analysis on the bets placed before joining the channel as well as after joining the channel for free signals. This will help you understand better about the mistakes you've made in selecting the odds. Correcting it can be a good choice.
165  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does bitcoin price increase after halving? on: October 07, 2023, 10:01:59 PM
Halving events have frequently been associated with increase in price of bitcoin with significant upward momentum both before and after halving. Bitcoin halving often generate increased market attention and hype. Expectation of lower supply and likely price increase may fuel positive feelings amongst investors and traders.
The halving event is one of the factors that can push the price of bitcoin to a higher level and will usually be able to create a new ATH because when the halving event is almost close, investors will simultaneously come to the market to accumulate bitcoin so that they don't lose momentum, but we all Here we cannot predict with certainty whether the price of bitcoin will immediately increase significantly after this event or whether we will need several more months after the halving to see a significant increase in bitcoin movements.
It is really difficult to predict the Bitcoin market, what will happen after the upcoming halving, whether the price will rise to a new ATH or not. Although Bitcoin history has seen major price swings after halving and Bitcoin making new ATHs, it is difficult to predict whether the same thing will happen this year. So I think the Bitcoin market may not react in the same way this year.

Already, many big investors have come to the crypto market who are accumulating bitcoins according to the advantages of the market. So they know how the crypto market works.
Bitcoin that have been moving around $26k have now come closer to $28k. We don't know what will happen with the market as the scenario around the world isn't good. Everyone expecting for the good rise in price by the days to halving or after the days of halving. Till date the halving had fulfilled the expectations of the bitcoin hodlers. This time we don't know what gonna happen. For now predictions were completely bullish, yet the ath value is under discussion.

As of now the ETF approval is being a big news associated with bitcoin. Over the days close to halving good news on the spot ETF approval will push the price grow higher than the predictions.
166  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can Israeli - Palestinian conflict worsen the crisis? on: October 07, 2023, 09:45:57 PM
Initially the Palestinian military group Hamas have launched ground operation from Gaza Strip. The country is full of Siren sounds and the attack is a complete surprise for the Israeli security forces. Hamas had purposely started the fight and entered the Gaza Israel border. There is no sign of peace as the Hamas Military commander have called Palestinians to launch attack. For some time period the people of the countries were leading peaceful life and once again it had started and the impact can soon be seen on the whole will worsen the crisis.
167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 07, 2023, 08:05:36 PM
South Africa broke several records in this game courtesy of their triple centurions. Sri Lankan bowlers bowled like crap though they could have done a lot better if Hasaranga and Theekshana were playing.
  • South Africa registered the highest total by a team in an ODI World Cup match - 428/5
  • Centuries came from three players, Quinton de Kock 100(84), Rassie van der Dussen 108(110), Aiden Markram 106(54)
  • Aiden Markram's 100 runs coming out of 49 balls is the fastest century scored in ODI World Cup History.
  • South Africa scored 428 runs and on the chase Sri Lanka have scored 326 runs. This marks a total of 754 runs scored in the entire match. This is once again the highest total in an ODI world cup match.

Maharaj, Ngigi and Rabada bowled really well. Their batting line-up is solid, but their bowling lineup needs improvement.
Coetzee took 3 wickets, Jansen, Maharaj, and Rabada took two wickets each and Ngidi took a wicket. Other than Jansen most had maintained good economy. Sri Lanka too played well and the batters particularly performed well under the pressure of chasing huge target.
168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: They know the truth but they don't want to accept it, publicly on: October 07, 2023, 07:35:06 PM
Every gambler used to start it for fun. As time passes the choice of free money makes them involved into spending more expecting big money. Many prefer gambling with cryptocurrency to have more privacy. People have negative thinking over gamblers, if someone is known to be a gambler it might make people think them to be addict even if they're gambling with limits.

If money isn't involved, surely gambling could never been this popular and have got good users. Money involvement into gambling have made it a billion dollar industry. Playing without money doesn't make it interesting, and personally I don't spend time gambling as it is same as playing games to accumulate tokens that doesn't have real value.
169  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 07, 2023, 01:49:24 PM
This is a very shameful thing for BCCI. People are not coming, no one supports any team. It seems that people are forced to watch the match and come to the stadium, no one is excited about the World Cup from India. I think that this is the worst World Cup in cricket history. BCCI is the richest board and the richest board hosts the biggest tournament and the chairs are broken.

There is no ceremony and Sachin Tendulkar comes in the ground and waves their hands to the empty ground.

BCCI had given the respective state cricket boards INR 50 crore (6 million) to overhaul the cricket stadium. If the Hyderabad Cricket Association did not spend it then you cannot blame the BCCI. The pictures shared on bad seating arrangements are from the warm-up match on the bad condition of the seats. It was shared on X.com by a local journalist. He then clarified the reason why the condition of those seats was bad by his another tweet which was on the same day. You guys need to post the whole context before vilifying BCCI.

Coming to the next question as to why the stadiums are empty. Why BCCI did not come up with an opening ceremony? I know the reason why stadiums are empty is because Indians have lost interest in ODI. The next as per my understanding is that we have a lot of days left for Indians to get into the mood of ODI cricket. The last would be these are just the initial days, waiting for the Indian team to play.

Why did BCCI never come up with an opening ceremony? I do not know the answer, whereas I feel BCCI did not want to spend money on a dying format.
Maybe what you've said is correct. The people might've lost interest on the ODI format as it is more time consuming than the shortest format of T20 and T10 format cricket.

As you've said it is just the starting and more matches left. Maybe as time passes the ground will get filled. Same time I've never seen a opening match with empty seats as it happened with England vs New Zealand. Not just because people have lost interest, but BCCI hadn't shown interest in making World Cup great than ever. Not having an opening ceremony is not for saving money, it is a way to prioritise IPL.
170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 07, 2023, 07:24:31 AM
Going through a sports article came to understood how bad the BCCI had organised the ICC World Cup. We don't get much into the analysis of how matches being conducted and just watch the Matches and support different teams. It is also necessary to know, one among the biggest sports authority of the world BCCI conducting the ODI World Cup in such a bad way is really shameful.

  • Considering the IPL the schedule have been changed and was announced a month back. This is bad and this had made cricket fans unable to plan and travel to the host country and support teams.
  • Just a month back the ticket sale have begun and this had resulted in low sale and the grounds were empty.
  • Everytime the World Cup used to have a theme song and this time it is revealed on the tournament and it is far bad compared to previous World Cup's. There is no opening ceremony for a big tournament.
  • The important given while conducting IPL isn't given to the ODI World Cup and we weren't able to see the promotion good as that of IPL. Shame on BCCI for such a behaviour in a World Cup.

171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: October 07, 2023, 05:36:31 AM
The only good thing here in El Salvador is that this is a living testimony about Bitcoin, because at first they did not think well of it; they were very negative about it before. El Salvador even declared a ban on Bitcoin, but they eventually reversed it.

Then, later, El Salvador declared again but not to ban Bitcoin, instead a declaration that they made Bitcoin legal tender in their country, and most of them are Bitcoin enthusiasts, and it seems that only a few are not yet aware of cryptocurrency.
This full acceptance of bitcoin by el Salvador is a proof indeed that bitcoin can actually be used as a legal tender and although it may have it's up and down but there is no currency in world today that hasn't got his flaws but atleast this is big step forward towards the full adoption of bitcoin in the world. Most other countries worldwide actually protest against the use of bitcoin in their countries because of its decentralised nature but the whole purpose of bitcoin was to give financial freedom which is what most government doesn't want for their citizens.
People of El Salvador protested against the adoption of bitcoin. Bitcoin protests in El Salvador against cryptocurrency as legal tender. We can't say El Salvador people were supporting bitcoin adoption without any second thought. The credit goes to President Nayib Bukele, because he is the one who took the decision and he was strong in execution. It is really difficult and he faced everything and slowly started to educate and create awareness among the people. Now people are well aware of it and realise the goodness of adoption. To make things better, bitcoin education is included into the school syllabus. Rest of the countries watch the progress of El Salvador, but none have the courage to take decision as President Nayib Bukele.

The match for the bronze medal scheduled to be started few hours earlier and rain had delayed the match. Based on the recent update it looks like a longer delay and there is possible chances of over cut s the final is scheduled to start within few hours.

Both Bangladesh and Pakistan losing their semifinals have got the opportunity to take home a medal and now its to decide who reaches the podium. Bangladesh lost badly against India losing by 9 wickets. Pakistan with the low score tried to defend Afghanistan and finally lost the match. Finally the match have begun as Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bowl. Pakistan should score 150+ runs to keep it on the winning side.
The rain interruption had continued and the overs got reduced to 13 overs. Soon after the start of the match with the overs cut, once again rain had interrupted and the overs have been reduced to 5 overs. Pakistan had scored 45/1 wicket in 5 overs. Now based on the DLS method Bangladesh were given a target of 65 runs in 5 overs. 13 rpo is a big target, because missing it in a over could increase the pressure. Bangladesh played well and won the bronze medal as they won the match by 6 wickets. The winning credit goes to Afif Hossain scoring 20 from 11 balls and Yasir Ali scoring 34 runs from 16 balls. Rakibul Hasan made the win scoring 4 runs in the last ball.
173  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 07, 2023, 02:12:14 AM
This game is really an eye opener for Pakistan team. Today's game clearly indicate that Pakistan had a terrible batting lineup. There is 120 runs partnership between Rizwan and Saud then there is 64 runs partnership between Shadab and Nawaz. Due to these two partnership Pakistan was able to score 286 runs. Vikramjit Singh and Colin Ackermann played well from Netherlands side but were not able to get good support from other end. In the end, Pakistan will be happy for not losing 2 valuable points.

Once again, the problem with less experienced sides such as the Netherlands is that they buckle under pressure. If they had utilized the opportunity, then they could have got Pakistan bowled out for 220-230. Pakistan were at 188/6 at one point. But the Dutch bowlers allowed them to add close to 100 runs after that, as lower order batsmen such as Mohammad Nawaz and Shadab Khan made crucial contributions. And the Dutch captain also made a lot of mistakes, as he didn't utilized two of this best bowlers during the depth overs - Logan van Beek and Paul van Meekeren.
Lack of experience had its impact on the match. These are good opportunities. In bowling they're good, but certain partnerships weren't able to be broken. With the batting they should've done better. The team had got good batters, and I expected atleast 250+ runs from them losing by a small margin. More 9 overs remaining, if they had stood wickets more 50-60 runs could've come. In yesterday's match it was Bas de Leede who is really good with the bat and ball.
174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: October 06, 2023, 07:04:04 PM
Disappointments were part of every game. Today it has happened with Saudi Arabia Pro League, team Abha have drawn the match against Al-Nassr 2-2. First goal for Al-Nassr came in the 3rd minute from Otavio and the second came by the 28th minute from Talisca. Abha got a goal in the 36th minute from Saad Bguir. The interesting part of the match is the additional time. Karl of Abha made a goal in the additional time and levelled the goal 2-2. Abha is at the lower order on points table and Al-Nassr have moved to 3rd position with 19 points.

Match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli Saudi are going close as both the teams are equally strong. Al-Ahli player Kessie made a goal in the 31st minute, end of first half Al-Ahli leads 1-0. Lets see if Al-Ittihad can have a comeback.
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier. on: October 06, 2023, 09:37:53 AM
Regrets were part of life. Not with bitcoin, it happens now and then with different tasks. Regret for not adopting bitcoin earlier is much discussed just because of the growth it had attained over time.

It is good to get off the regret and look for the solution to make things happen good again. This means remember what you've learnt out of the regret, think of the best to happen again and keep yourself prepared for it. If the regret keeps you paining, try to keep yourself distracted from it. Find someone who had experienced the similar thing and what they did to come out of it.
176  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: October 06, 2023, 06:06:13 AM
Spend the money one can afford to loss. What does it means?
The spending you do on gambling shouldn't affect ones life in any way, just because you've lost in gambling. In other terms you shouldn't
use the money for living into gambling. Most of us don't understand the risk and just keep on wagering just to recover what one had lost earlier. In a game of chance we can't be sure of the outcome and based on that needs to be limits.

I personally spend beyond my limit. Nowadays the spending on gambling used to be the money I allocate to clear my debts. When I loss on gambling, my personal living doesn't gets affected, but my debt gets stagnant. It is also kind of spending the needful money.
177  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: October 06, 2023, 03:17:15 AM
The pitch is looking tricky or maybe Bongs are playing badly, whatever the reason, the Indians are bossing the game atm. I'll still hold my judgment over the result tho but yeah this 2nd string team is strong, especially the batting lineup. The bowling lineup is a bit weak but they can still compete against top teams.

True and I've said that their batting is improving drastically. In the Asia Cup too, they batted well against India so it can't be a fluke.

Bangladesh is inching towards the 100-mark, and they are at 81/8 after 17 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed conceded 10 runs in the 17th over, but in the last ball he picked up the wicket of Rakibul Hasan. Anyway, it doesn't matter whether Bongs are able to make 100 or not. India will have an easy win, as they have quality batsmen such as Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma. BTW, I am surprised by the large number of Chinese people who have come to watch the match. Crowd reaction indicates that they have hardly any idea about what is going on.  Grin
Bangladesh innings came to end at 96/9 in 20 overs. Jaker Ali (24*runs) and Parvez Hossain Emon (23 runs) were the top scorers for Bangladesh. Sai Kishore had taken 3 wickets and Washington Sundar had taken 2 wickets. India have lost an early wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Gaikwad and Tilak Varma on the crease have made 36/1 in 3 overs which is going to be an easy winning match.
178  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: October 06, 2023, 12:37:53 AM
Anybody know of any crypto casinos that offer cockfighting? preferably vietnamese thai cambodian or filipino
I visited several casinos and gambling sites but did not find any offer on cockfighting. Cockfighting was a popular domestic sport in the past but nowadays cockfighting is not popular so no casino or gambling site takes cockfighting as a part of their business platform. But still cockfighting is seen among different tribals and tribes but in that case local gambling may be going on but it is not seen to be included in online platform.
As said it is a domestic sports and seen much on the rural regions of the country. Very few countries have online access for gambling on cockfight, one amongst is Philippines. Different countries have got their own rules on the games. In Philippines there are arenas available on every region to conduct cockfight. So, it is possible for the online gambling platforms to list the schedule and the appropriate odds. In other countries it hadn't got such a level of usage, mostly these kind of events takes place during festivals and traditional celebration within the regions. Here is the pic of the Roasters that had got its match scheduled in my region.

But if you value privacy, you should use DEX from the beginning, don't try CEX without KYC, sometimes there will be unpredictable problems, IMO.

I have been using CEXs without KYC for 7 years and have not experienced any problems. DEXs are not the best solution for everyone because they are very expensive in fees, do not support the right assets and networks, and have poor liquidity. I will switch to DEXs when one token to another is as cheap and hassle-free as on CEX, but until this happens, DEXs is not anything particularly unique that makes it worth abandoning CEX completely. 99% of the problems that arise due to working with CEXs are created by the users themselves. Whether this is the fault of the services themselves is a big question.
Being the early user it could've been possible. Right now it is really hard to make use of CEX without KYC. For the users who doesn't want to fulfill KYC, they could prefer DEX. With CEX things were going good and provides good liquidity. Majority of the problem happens with the careless of the user. Having a double check will keep everything functional without error. However while choosing the CEX we need to be careful finding the right one and using it, getting into the untrusted platforms gonna make the user suffer.
180  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: October 05, 2023, 10:02:08 PM
Is a fucking joke man this 2030 world cup, i hope this doesnt ended up being that way, two continents distant 14.000 km one from another. 6 countries, no sense, bring back normal world cups in one country and that country have to be a football country, not a shit one.
They've got a reason for it. As a centenary celebration the starting three matches being played in their own countries doesn't gonna affect anything. From the fourth match onwards everything used to be functional same as what is being planned for the upcoming FIFA World Cup. People who prefer to watch the complete tournament reaching the football ground, it would be difficult. However many people will get opportunity to watch football matches which isn't an easy thing. Just think it in that way, not everyone able to travel due to the expense, and those people enjoy watching it played on their home countries.
