161  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 16, 2018, 02:34:15 AM
Dude, although we haven't crossed paths much, I will say that I've crossed your path enough to think that it's strange as fuck to see your posts with a paid signature underneath them and a paid personal message to the side... Just sayin'
162  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow Account Was sold Proof on: June 16, 2018, 02:22:24 AM
Umm, shouldn't the OP be red-tagged as an (potential) account buyer himself?

And another theory; could it be that someone hacked Gleb's account, and then Gleb regained control of the account again, given all the activity on May 24? Or is that just a wild theory?
163  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Have $20 paypal want $20 in btc on: June 16, 2018, 02:14:49 AM
Have you conducted this deal yet? I'm willing to take a risk and get this done for you to help you establish a bit of trust and to make a small profit from this transaction. Obviously, I'm going to ask you to send the payment as a "Friends or Family" payment, which doesn't eliminate the risk of a chargeback... But it does greatly increase the difficulty to do so.

Send me a PM if you still need to get this done. Otherwise, I'd advise that you lock this thread if you no longer need this exchange.

Cheers!
164  Economy / Reputation / Re: Gleb Gamow account was sold Proof on: June 16, 2018, 02:10:26 AM
I haven't really paid any attention or crossed many paths with Gleb Gamow, but given the recent debacle related to his account, I developed a theory that was touched upon by @hilariousetc: that as part of the sale of this account, Gleb Gamow would provide proof anytime the validity of the account was questioned.

After reading this thread, however, this theory is starting to make less and less sense, unless the new owner of the account specifically asked Gleb to log in to clarify and address any doubts or suspicions.

As someone who knows how to use Photoshop and the "Inspect Element" tool in mozilla-based browsers, my first instinct to the screenshot that was provided by OP was that the text on-screen was customized (via inspector) before the screenshot was taken. If this is not the case, how come the message still hasn't been reported to a moderator so it could be verified?

Either way, I find this whole scenario highly amusing, so thanks for the entertainment. I honestly can't wait to see what outcome there is, if there even will be at all  Cheesy

EDIT: nvm about the verification by hilariousandco, I just discovered the other thread.
165  Other / Meta / Re: Bring back the newbie jail with changes on: June 16, 2018, 01:58:09 AM
We all know newbies are annoying most of the time, but there are some that outshine others. When I first came to these forums, I mimicked my posting habits in other forums... Mainly short simple posts with a flair of sarcasm. I came to learn more about Bitcoin, as I was already late to the gravy train. Then I discovered that I could earn some of it as a reward for posting. You'll see, based on my history, that I started off in the micro earnings section, and then progressed towards the shitposting sections. At some point, I realized that I was actually learning more and more about cryptocurrency, and my focus shifted from solely posting to earn to more actively becoming engaged in topics about bitcoin and other altcoins.

If this newbie jail was implemented at the time, I wouldn't have had the opportunity to progress to the forum member I am today. In fact, given your proposal for this merit milestone, it would have encouraged me to spam more throughout the boards in search of merit rewards.

I think the solution is counterproductive, and the merit system that was implemented is finally starting to take effect. Yeah, we're getting a shit ton of newbies asking the same questions about how to earn merit, but the introduction of this newbie jail will create even more spam, albeit isolated spam within the newbie jail.

Honestly, an implementation like this would an extreme amount of unnecessary burden on current mods, given that they now have to weed out the newbies' posts alongside shit posts.

I think just a few more months of the merit system will truly show us how effective it is, so for now, I prefer to remain patient and deal with the gradual decline of alt accounts.

I like the buy pressure column, but I don't think the coins should be ranked using that column, even if the list is about depth. Took me a few seconds to determine why ETH is at the top and not BTC.

That BCash though. Pretty savage.

-snip-

The site supports and displays market depth and not market cap, so I'm actually okay with the way that it's sorted. I personally prefer to see this filtered chart than CMC's default chart when I'm trading, as I couldn't give a shit less about market cap when I'm looking for global market depth and order books. But that's just me...

BCASH lol! I'm sure Roger Ver loves that; the site owners did it for him!
167  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OGNasty and his not-so clever scam on: June 15, 2018, 06:11:17 PM
My email was not hacked. My account on here was. I informed him not to release until I specifically said and how did the guy know he had the money if OGNasty didn’t even confirm escrow. But the moment I got hacked he was on a second after then off again

Are you implying that OgNasty had something to do with your BCT account being hacked? Or that he was working with the receiving party to scam you? Again, I don't think OgNasty would risk his reputation for a measly $700. Roll Eyes

If you know any another site please tell me Smiley

Check out https://vcdepth.io

It provides global market depth along with simple data, and it polls multiple exchanges for live data updates.

Just checking in once again. When will support be available to take care of the disabled accounts situation? Hopefully not until August? This matter is quite important.

My account has been disabled since October of last year, and this is after C-Cex pretty much stole thousands of dollars of crypto from my account before disabling it.

I've had an open ticket for several months, but C-Cex has pretty much been on "vacation" for half of those months until now.

Needless to say, this exchange is extremely unprofessional; just read through the hundreds of pages here to read the many horror stories that users have experienced throughout them.

It sounds to me like you won't be gaining access to your account any time soon, mate. Sorry for the bad news Sad
171  Other / Meta / Re: ANATOMY OF SCAMS on: June 15, 2018, 03:05:08 PM
A great way to further check a site/coin to see if it is legitimate or not is to reverse-image search the team involved on the "About" or "Team" pages. A lot (most) of the times with scam ICO's, these images are stolen from the web from a simple Google search, usually from stock photo sites. I've found a few ICO sites that have used stolen images for their 'Team' sections, and reporting my findings has surely saved a few potential investors from dumping their hard earned money into the scam coins.

And as @mocacinno has said, you could make a company appear to be legitimate for much less than $7000-8000.

Either way, thanks for taking the time to outline this; I'm not sure if Meta is the proper board for this. Possibly Beginners & Help or Altcoin Discussion would be your best bet?
172  Other / Meta / Re: How about leaving - feedback on hacked account once verified proof. on: June 15, 2018, 02:56:36 PM
Blaming BitcoinTalk for not having a proper API to manage all your participants is like blaming Ford for getting a speeding ticket after you were pulled over for, well, speeding.

No one is going to side with you with your "woe is me" attitude; as others have mentioned, you chose to accept so many participants, so it shouldn't be the responsibility of the forums or the staff to reprimand your users after you've decided to accept them in the campaign.

If the pool of participants have become too big for you to handle, then you need to hire more campaign managers. It's essentially on YOU, not the forum or its staff.

Just sayin.
173  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OGNasty and his not-so clever scam on: June 15, 2018, 02:52:48 PM
Additionally, I had an email account that was "hacked" before... But it was more-than-likely a phishing website that was cloaked by a "raffle" or giveaway. The site that got my information was a Bitcoin giveaway website, and it required registration. Although I used an email address that I had created solely for the Bitcoin world, I ignorantly used the same password for this website as the password for that email... Needless to say, the site was either compromised, or the intent of the developer was to steal registration info anyways.

I ended up losing access to the email temporarily, but luckily, I was able to restore access to the account because I was able to use the recovery email before the "hacker" was able to change it.

Unfortunately, I lost a couple hundred dollars worth of bitcoin from a micropayment wallet site that I used the same credentials for, so it was a semi-expensive lesson.

I have butt heads with @OgNasty on the forums before, but I don't think he'd go out of his way to scam you for the amount that you lost, especially considering he's done hundreds of thousands of dollars in escrow deals before you.
174  Other / Meta / Re: Merit & new rank requirements on: June 15, 2018, 02:47:39 PM
Because I'm in the top 1000 FWIW.
I think top 100 is 2 stars and top 10 is 3 stars.

Do you know if this is based on total number of posts, or is it weighted against other stats, like post count vs. merit or something?
175  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Do you own a shitcoin? lol Find out. on: June 15, 2018, 02:22:25 PM
Whats running behind the site besides an automatic response that an altcoin is a shitcoin if its not BTC? If theres nothing then at minimum put some funny jokes or memes as responses, otherwise the idea behind the project is okay but more contentful responses needed.

I'm assuming that there are certain flags on each of the coins, and within those flags is a database of responses that are dependent on whether a coin is (a) a shitcoin, (b) a semi-shitcoin, or (c) not a shitcoin, or something along those lines.

Hahahahaha! This is a brilliant way to collect targeted emails Smiley I checked a bunch of my coins and there was one coin under the ''MegaShit'' category.

My sentiments, exactly!

I know that there really isn't a purpose for this site besides novelty, but it's quite humorous; I've forwarded it to all my crypto friends and they all got a good laugh out of it Tongue
176  Other / Meta / Re: How to Become Signature Master in 12 Hours. I did it, so can you. on: June 15, 2018, 02:19:09 PM
Thanks for posting this; it's a huge help!

FYI, I'm not sure if it's just on Chrome, or if it looks different when applied to the signature section, but the "circle" doesn't appear to be a circle:

Additionally, I'd be curious to see some more tips as you progress. Will you be updating the top post with future styling findings? Cheesy
177  Economy / Services / Re: MY Strategy to Get 2500+ Referrals by Advertising at best place for cheap price on: June 14, 2018, 06:18:02 PM
"Surfing" sites are considered some of the shittiest types of sites for analytics and true conversions by true viewers. Yes, you may have 2700+ direct referrals, but that doesn't mean a thing if a small percentage of them are active. I'd rather have 100 true referrals than 1000 random referrals that sign up and then abandon the site.

Save your money, guys... You're only getting referrals based on the mandate that the viewer has to sit on the page in order to earn whatever it is they're earning for sitting on that page...
178  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: OGNasty and his not-so clever scam on: June 14, 2018, 05:58:10 PM
...says the Brand new account without any form of proof or documentation backing up the claim...

Move this post to the Scam Accusation board, and edit your post to put some more details in it, or no one is going to take your accusation serious.
179  Other / Meta / Re: my old account locked on: June 14, 2018, 05:54:59 PM
Wait, so your account was locked from being able to be logged into because you've failed at entering the correct password too many times? If so, then what is the error message that you're receiving? Does it have a time constraint on additional attempts, such as "You can try again in 1 hour"?

If not, then yeah, you're screwed, as I said before, as there's a huge list of people waiting to recover their accounts...
180  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Do you own a shitcoin? lol Find out. on: June 14, 2018, 05:48:47 PM
Pretty funny, but a little bit annoying that you have to put in the picker and not just the name.
Other than that, most of the messages seemed to be pretty spot on  Grin

I'd just improve on the design a little bit, I think a different color scheme could do wonders already.

I actually don't mind the simplicity of the current color scheme, although I would like to see the coin name along with the ticker...

Also, after playing around with the site a bit, what determines whether a coin is shit or not? Is it based on your opinion? It's kind of perplexing to see LTC and DOGE displayed as shitcoins lol

I can't tell if your post is sarcastic or not.
C'mon man Cheesy

Dude, @digaran fucked up the whole sarcasm vs realism aspect of the forums for me... Maybe it's because I deal with Bitcoin Cash shillers on a daily basis, but it always fucks me up whenever I encounter someone who is actually serious about pushing/hodling/using/praising/shilling/buying BCash...
