The next phase of adoption will be interesting to experience as the network effect will be expanding towards everyday purchases. This will be when we can finally fully control our money.

I think the next major bitcoin rally would start late 2019 and continue through 2020. Now I am expecting sideways for the rest of 2019.

The last time we saw bitcoin encounter a very similar bear market was 2013-2015.
Thus far, this current bear market is playing out very similar to what took place then.

Obviously, this year will be one of the worst in crypto history. I do not expect anything good from 2018, rather it would have ended.

The traditional financial markets also continue to experience declines. It is no coincidence that bitcoin and crypto is tanking at the same time all other risky assets are being sold off bigly.

Usually there is massive increase of volume as prices go below where anyone expects them. Looking forward to seeing volume come back. 

Honestly, I am not sure where the bottom is, but it looks like a lot lower than this. The price action continues to be terrible.

I think it is important to remember that all buyers in 2017 were retail investors. And what we see happening now in 2018 is that when the price drops, the institutions come in. Most of these institutions do not buy at exchanges. They actually buy on the OTC market, where we do not have great transparency or insight.

Even though ethereum experienced a decline of 85 - 90%, the asset is still worth more than 800% of what it was two years ago.

Around $3600 seems to be a spot of resistance...so if we're lucky, it might reverse from here...or it could go down to around $3000. If it doesn't stop there, we're likely really screwed.

Long-term graphs still are in uptrend, even though soon might be the day when it breaks that uptrend - still it’s highly unlikely that we would go way lower than where we are now.

I don't think so... When we thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. People have mostly lost interest in bitcoin for some time now. There are a very few survivors left.

There are a few projects actually being used, have decent products, and are set to improve.
There are parallels with the dotcom boom/bust cycle, where those companies that kept building and innovating survived, and grew into powerhouses.

With any luck, a lot of shitcoins will end up being flushed by a prolonged bear market, and those that hang around will become much bigger than they were before.

For a lot of projects, metrics around usage and adoption are embarrassingly low, they do little to justify even current price levels.

We cannot do anything to influence currency growth. So best option is to chill out.
Who cares about current crypto price? We will all be millioners in few years
