161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to the common man. on: March 29, 2024, 03:56:37 AM
I think what really separates crypto or bitcoin to any other
kind of investment is its accessibility to as you call
common men.

You don’t have to be extremely rich to buy and invest in
bitcoin as you can buy a few portions in the form of satoshis.
Now if the common man were to play his cards right he can
become wealthy only from a few hundred or maybe even less dollars.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know if my Metamask wallet was emptied? on: March 29, 2024, 03:39:36 AM
Mate, this sounds more of a memory problem that anything else lol

If your metamask wallet has been emptied for quite a while now
there’s nothing for the scammers to get ahold of anymore so
they won’t have anything to take out from your wallet.
I don’t think any transactions whether hacked or not won’t be
able to reflect in the activity tab
163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 Bitcoin Buy and Hold 👑 on: March 29, 2024, 02:40:48 AM
Nice to know that in not even half of a year,
you managed to make this much profit.

Trading is often reserved for much experienced
people. Holding is a less complex and stressful process
in my opinion but trading can be very beneficial in shorter
periods of time. Your friend should honestly take down
some notes.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEWBY MISTAKE. WETH SENT FROM COINBASE WALLET TO COINBASE on: March 29, 2024, 02:21:02 AM
Have you contacted the admin of the app/website?

Some exchanges really do give back the money
you sent accidentally given of course that you
contact them and request for it. The waiting comes after
that. It might take a while but it definitely possible.
165  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beware of Crypto scams, everyone must need to know on: March 29, 2024, 12:50:46 AM
The scam typically begins with a phone call, as someone claiming to be from a government agency or law enforcement department. They may inform you of alleged fraudulent activities or criminal behavior associated with one of your accounts. To further convince you of the urgency of the situation, they create a sense of imminent danger and pressure you to act quickly.
If you are not doing something wrong then there is nothing for you to be afraid of. But these calls are exhausting when you're on that call and they try to explain their scheme.

As long as you can remember that you have done nothing. First things first with these government matters is that they're going to send you a letter or someone will step on your doors knocking informing you this kind of matters.

It's not limited to government calls that are being done by these scammers but even something simple that they'll try to scare you out so that you'll pay their scam. Don't be too scared with them and always have a presence of mind.

Some people are too vulnerable and believe in these
kinds of things. They panic and they don’t think properly.
Check the details of the caller/sender. Ask if they are
affiliated with any particular organization or government agency.
Do not act impulsively and keep a clear mind.
166  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Meme" coins are ruining everything on: March 28, 2024, 11:34:42 PM
It is not only memecoins that are being released too much
but also just altcoins in general. I think memecoins are a great way
to invite in more investors however I do see the logic behind that
it clogs the way. I think we should find the balance between
the two features. Memecoins nowadays are becoming more innovative
so I don’t think they are completely useless
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman-Fried, the "Crypto King" jailed for 25 years on: March 28, 2024, 11:21:09 PM
It really puts things into perspective that one day you
might be the richest person on the planet and the next day
you will have nothing but a cent. May this become a reminder
that we should be careful with our funds and not trust just about
anyone because it is so easy to lose the money you just worked for.
168  Economy / Economics / Re: Church Business on: March 28, 2024, 10:48:55 PM
I don’t know which country you live in and what kind of
pastors you have but in my country, if you want to get
out of poverty you would not want to become a pastor.
Besides, I believe that it takes so much effort to become a pastor
that not all men are able to do so if they have decided to become
an instrument for the lord then they must have meant it.

169  Economy / Economics / Re: boomer life UK on: March 28, 2024, 12:52:05 PM
This phase of history in britain was described as the golden age
however it must be noted that this only applies to some people.
Of course there are still economic classes. Those in higher classes
are the only ones who can go to universities despite it being free.

Not only does it not consider economic classes but also race classes. There
are still aftermath of slavery and racism are still very much prevalent.
170  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blacklisting Wallet Addresses Across Various Bitcoin Wallet Types on: March 28, 2024, 11:55:59 AM
Since we all know that bitcoin is decentralized in itself, it
is quite impossible for anyone or anything to implement
regarding what goes in or out of the market. On the other hand,
this is still a good thing because this means that not even the government
can block our own addresses.
171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you ever be able to buy stocks in Web3 ? on: March 27, 2024, 02:17:35 AM
I think it would actually be harder to buy stocks
without a middleman. I mean we already have cryptocurrency
that we are able to buy without third party so why still find
something else? Stocks have a lot of rules and regulations that
probably a normal person wouldn’t know everything about so I think
it is much safer to buy stocks from a stockbroker.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: satoshi? hacker? who? on: March 27, 2024, 01:50:00 AM
I doubt it’s satoshi but what could be the repercussions if it was
indeed satoshi and it was confirmed? Do you think many people
would be surprised and happy that satoshi is still indeed out there
and has in fact not yet have forgotten about bitcoin or do you think many
people would panic and think why is he moving his coins?

Anyway I don’t think it’s satoshi he would have to be much careful
about moving these much coins
173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The power of HODLing BTC on: March 27, 2024, 01:14:28 AM
Woah. That is indeed crazy. Such a huge respect to whoever that person
for having the patience and trust in bitcoin. They have gained so much profits.
Makes me kind of jealous I was not yet aware of bitcoin at 2010 but hey, at least
now I am holding it and I intend to hold it for dear life Grin
174  Economy / Economics / Re: SWIFT prepares global platform for bitcoin alternatives on: March 27, 2024, 12:15:48 AM
Banks are the exact opposite of cryptocurrency
so I do not understand how they could possibly implement this
without compromising the features that make bitcoin bitcoin.
It is decentralized and banks aren’t so we would need to see
more details to check how they could play around the concept of it.

Do you think that this is something Satoshi expected?
175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Innovative methods or technologies" on: March 26, 2024, 01:13:55 PM
Lots of projects are already now experimenting with AI technology
to enhance more of their capabilities in analyzing data. I think we could see
some pretty accurate and specific assumptions in the next couple of years
which is something that would be definitely prove helpful to us investors
176  Other / Off-topic / Re: Becoming productive without spending too much money. on: March 26, 2024, 12:40:03 PM
The internet is a blessing to this generation because through it people can perform tasks more effectively and also have jobs that'll earn them incomes, there are many skills to learn on the internet, some for a small amounts while others are for free. The internet is creating uncountable jobs and information for people everyday, people can enroll in online courses and learn skills that they can make money with, without even attending university. YouTube is a big blessing of the internet, a lady friend in my neighborhood started making different types of snacks for sale, and I asked her when she attended a catering school, and she told me that she learnt it for free on the internet. Despite the fact that scammers are many on the internet to scam people, the internet still remains the best thing that happened to this generation.

Agreed mate. I Once knew a mother who had put off her education
to work abroad for her family. Because of online classes, she was able
to go back and finish high school. I would forever remember her
for the inspiration she has given me but also I think that would have been
way harder if not for the internet.

She was still able to take care of her children while she studied and she has now
graduated. Internet is often painted as dangerous and a force not to be reckoned with
but honestly it has also helped humanity develop for the better
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Let's talk about BitNasdaq Cryptocurrency Exchange on: March 26, 2024, 11:38:09 AM
Is there no other information about this exchange?

No website? No explanation of how it came to be?
No roadmap? No goals and objectives? Or anything that is uniquely found
in your exchange? Hard to trust something especially if it is about my money when there is only
One or two sentences about it.
178  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Difference between the TRADITIONAL Chinese and SIMPLIFIED Chinese Mnemonic Words on: March 26, 2024, 10:08:46 AM
Mate, why is this in the bitcoin discussion?

Kind of confused how does this correlate to bitcoin
please specify or explain your project further if it does
have association with bitcoin otherwise I think it would be best
to move this in the off-topic section.

Anyway to answer your questions, simplified chinese is already stated in its name:
simplified it is easier to read for beginners however a native or someone
who really knows chinese could most likely read both but i will just go with traditional
as simplified isn’t the one most used i believe
179  Other / Off-topic / Re: The skill of Self-discipline on: March 26, 2024, 07:28:38 AM
Be aware and mindful.

You can only discipline yourself if you aren’t too in your head.
Some people are way too entitled and confident and thus they think
that they are the best and that they are already perfect but that is simply
not true. An individual should always be constantly improving and development
does not stop. So by being aware of what you should change or keep, you will have
a clear focus and a great self-discipline
180  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: TimeLock for 40 years payday? on: March 26, 2024, 05:40:50 AM
OP I hope you take this as a genuine sign of concern.
What could possibly have led you to think about this? Usually we would just
hold and not do anything about timelock unless you intend to
give it to your children or grandchildren. You could just accumulate bitcoin
and still be able to take profit whenever as you please and then safely store or
invest them again.
