Not trolling.. I thought BTC-E was in Russia / Russia based?? (And the US servers and fund in transit were seized )

Stop freaking out. You're all good! If you have funds on BTC-e (or will have funds on the new site), just be very careful about not sending those coins directly back to a licensed exchange like Coinbase. Those coins could be subject to civil asset forfeiture. Get some clean coins through another exchange/service first.

I don't think that's the case. I mean, they don't report to the IRS. But virtually every transaction (including crypto-crypto) is taxable from a capital gains perspective. Just because you don't wire dollars to your bank account doesn't mean you don't technically owe taxes. This is why I prefer not to verify ID at exchanges. Just in case...

I remain hopeful regarding the relaunch, and it seems that at least those that stay might recover more than 55%. But I still don't see how this new exchange will be viable. They have clear affiliation with an indicted exchange. How can their fiat processing be reliable? What if their coins are blacklisted at other exchanges? Might they just get seized again?

Are the old deposit addresses relevant to the Koins?
These addresses are no longer relevant and coins sent to these addresses will not be credited. All new addresses will be generated on the new service.


ACCESS TO THE SITE
Do not come letters to the post office?
Check the spam folder, most likely the message came under the filter.

Is it possible to organize an input with an untethered two-factor, without the possibility of output to view the balance?
No, there is no such possibility.


SECURITY
Cases of phishing emails on e-mail have become more frequent.

Update security settings

MONEY TRANSACTION
I have not credited the deposit in coins after 25.07?
All deposits before August 1, inclusive, are credited. If funds are not credited, you need to write a ticket for verification, but this is only if you have not used the refund.

What about the funds that were transferred after August 1?

PAMM and MT4
Will MT4 and PAMM be available in the future?

What will happen to the funds on the accounts of those users who decide to stay and wait for the launch of the new site?
1. Your profile will be automatically transferred with all security settings (password, 2fa, IP white list).
2. All your funds will be transferred to a new site.

But that's my point.. If there is a site where you can sell your BTC for fiat, but not get the fiat out of the site.. would you sell? No. There would be nobody selling coins for fiat, so that's not an option.

They really have provided very little to go on to clarify the position with fiat! There is nothing about fiat in their FAQ
They seem to be treating people with fiat balances very poorly with a singular lack of information.
People are having to second guess their intentions.
As a result they will be losing a lot of otherwise loyal customers!

The only official info I can find is on an old FAQ

Can anybody quote anything they have said that provides any info about treatment of fiat balances?

It seems with current info and lack of info they are forcing fiat holders to choose the refund option!

Please can anybody post any actuall quote relating to their proposals?

Not because they are shady.... you are on th wrong track.

Just think about it.


Why should they provide detailed information about the new site now.
They don't want you to feel too save. Everytime somebody chooses the 55% and runs away their debt is decreasing.

The only thing that worries me is at what exchange rate USD will be converted into coins. At the rate of the 15th or the actual ONE

Why they didn't give any information about the conditions that we will find on sept 15th ? WHY?? It's shady and dangerous for risking at 15th September.
It will require verification to withdraw? specially for koins? withdraw is limited without verification Or impossible without it??
How can someone properly decide if he do not know all the conditions??

I assume fiat balances will be converted to coin on 15th?
If the value of coin is higher on 15th than now the conversion will result in less coin.
This should be compensated by the increase in the 55% that they intimated, but it all seems a bit vague.
Currently for those optiong for a refund timing is quite important...

We made the first payments to users who requested a refund. Check your wallets.
Also, the working capacity of the page for return was restored.

There were some technical problems when sending transactions with the amount less than 0.001. These transactions will be made later.

Anyone who selected the 55% refund option tries to deposit to another exchange or an online wallet? I want to know their reaction when receiving coins from btc-e wallet.

Yeah I am trying to locate that old post as well. BTC-E saying "No longer accepting/serving US Citizens". Looks like they deleted it for some reason and now they are just not providing an answer to any updates or FAQ on btc-e.nz

Anyone able to reset their password? I haven't received mine in 2 days.

All I can say is I’m not pleased at losing 45% of my holdings to cash out now which was a new idea they came up with since making the original promise to not do that very thing.

There was no way I was going to leave any of my actually available funds on there another second. Good luck to those that have spun that dice...

 Another ridiculous thing is that they convert fiat to the current Bitcoin market rate of $4500, and not the $2546 rate at the time they went down.
