1601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 15, 2014, 06:54:05 PM
It's good that dev will release the code, so supercoin goes back to the open source based coin. What worries me is that lacking of a qualified dev will not help supercoin in a lead position. Other hype coins can easily copy the code and sell their "stories". Only with a strong dev who is capable of taking over can keep the leading edge of the supercoin. I don't see any now. If none, then what's the point to release the code to other coins?? better keep the code secret.

I guess that is why the dev did so in the first place. Maybe the dev should not release the code until a new, preferably full-time developer/team takes over.

Or, the old team could step back up and take Super to the moon Smiley

Let's face it, the original devs are the most qualified to maintain & continue to develop the technology. The issue has always been lack of public awareness and refusal to accept options that bring more attention to Super.

On a positive note: The wallet is staking like crazy(I'm getting 30 Super per hour) and currently showing 7 anonymous nodes available for SuperSend anon transactions.

Well believe me, if I had time to continue developing, I would do it. No one has more affection to the coin, as I am the one who spent most time on this coin, not spent the time to talk, but countless hours to design and code and test the coin. But unfortunately I have my work and my responsibilities. So I can not continue developing the coin.

What I want:
1. make supercoin back to open source based coin
2. hope some qualified people from community can take over the code

As some people expressed the concerns about other coins copy-paste the code, I share the same concerns, that's why I did not publish yet the code.  I am in a dilemma now. If no qualified people to take-over, the publication of code will do no good to supercoin, but I also want the supercoin be open source, so community can maintain and develop the code.

So this is my decision:
a. I won't publish the code until community have someone qualified to take over the code.
b. If there's a qualified person (need to have a track record), I will send him the code 1 week before I make it publicly in git.

Tweet, Troll, or wholeheartedly inquire...spread the word crew, we're officially in search of a new dev. I wonder if the Open Bazaar guys would be interested...

Though, I would much rather supercoindev + new management team to take the coin to the next level. Dev, played out right, you may not be interested in your current job Wink
1602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 10, 2014, 10:06:49 PM
So a darkcoin exploit was found by this individual called "robinwilliams" on bitcontalk.  I decided to send a PM to see if they would take a look at supercoin.  The link to forum is below this sentence.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=816141.0

If Super doesn't fall to similar issues, we're well positioned to target the anon market. Hoping dev delivers in a timely fashion.
1603  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 09, 2014, 08:58:14 PM
Thank you dev for giving us an answer and choosing to release the code (hopefully sooner than later, so we can get this train moving). I to think supercoin will still have a future if this is the case. Like others have mentioned though, maybe release it to someone like Cryptobull first, as he has put in a lot for this coin. Then community can make decisions together on where to go next, it gives us a chance to try and get the code audited professionally before it is publicly released. That way supercoin can be known as the FIRST, before all the copy-cat coins. Perhaps open sourcing it will get us a free audit and publicity though? It hard to say.

Instead of donating to advertisement right now, maybe we should create a community bounty system soon?
New wallet design - xxxxx super
New website host - xxxxx super
etc

Also Dev, would you consider giving trusted community member access to official twitter/facebook accounts, or should we create new ones?
If we work together, and we have a code that can be improved upon, have the structure in place already (stakingwallets, blockchain, exchanges etc) we can make something out of this guys.

Forgive me if this has been covered, but I must play devil's advocate.  Do we know who Cryptobull is beyond this thread? Is he someone trustworthy of wielding the Super Sword? What's to say he doesn't keep the code to himself as well or release a copycat himself?  Opportunity can do strange things to otherwise seemingly good-willed individuals. Cryptobull, I mean no slight to you, I simply want to try and determine a safe way to migrate this Closed -> Open transition. With only 1 party (other than Superdev & team) in control of the source, we risk being in the same situation that we are in now. I do not wish for this to happen.

Community, are my thoughts being over cautious?  Would handing the code over to a group of Super community members mitigate this risk? Or perhaps if there is an auditor we can agree on that the code get released to only Cryptobull & the auditor simultaneously...this ensures the community that the source is within reach & that the Supercoin is the first coin audited & recognized for fully trustless decentralized multisig.  It may give us the exposure oppurtunity to shop for a top level dev to move forward with the project.

Any other thoughts folks?
1604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 09, 2014, 02:41:37 PM
To all people who like supercoin dev or hate us: we did our job for the supercoin, we provided the best technology and the the unique p2p trustless system for anonymous transfer. As we have repeatedly said, the success of a coin, depends on the community, not on the devs. The devs provided the best they can for this coin. Rest is the community who will define the direction of the coin.

I will publish the source code of supercoin p2p trustless system for anonymous transfer by the end of this month. Of course the source code will be copied by many copycatters, who form the most "devs" in the alt coin domain. But at least the source code will help those who are capable of continuing developing and enhancing the code. All details are published in the whitepaper, there is nothing hidden.

Myself and supercointeam are too busy at our own work to continue developing coins. It's been a wonderful few months with the community here. And in the future if I find more time, I'll do some more serious work on the coin code. It is fun and a great experience for me.

Dev,

First and foremost, I thank you sincerely for showing up to the thread.

You did A job. You built what appears to be a leap forward in anonymous transactions. So thank you again for stating you will release the source. As for the community doing its' job and crafting the direction of the coin...It's hard to sell something you don't know anything about, nor can it be verified. Although your white paper is specific enough, its not proof for everyone that the code does as it states.

When you release this code, you can expect to see a dynamic shift in momentum of the coin. It'll be a lot easier to stand behind and argue for super as the anonymous coin of choice for endeavors who wish to use a truly anonymous technology. Ideas peak interest, facts sell.

For now, I'll be buying hard.
1605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 08, 2014, 10:17:31 PM
My opinion:
1 Not known to code.
  The coin would vurnerable.

2 Those who want to stick the ball in your investment in 2 days, selling

3 The dev should publish a business plan.

1606  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 08, 2014, 09:09:03 PM
It's really a problem of closed source.

Yep it's a big problem with no Dev and closed source code = Dead coin

Yes, Supercoin had very good opportuity to show the world real technology.
But developer think otherwise and don't want to disclose code and that is why this coin almost die.

Yeah, under the guise of protecting the code from copy cat coins. YET, dev seems to think the tech is beyond any other crypto created, including bitcoin. Bitcoin's code is open source. Plenty of copy cats, look who still reigns #1, the ORIGINAL.  Dev you're shooting yourself in the toe if your code is real. If its real, the riches you've made by now are but a fraction of what they will be after a well-targeted & dedicated marketing strategy along with opening the source.

Dev, team, Get out from under your rock, there's still a community here after all you've put us through. Shit.
1607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 07, 2014, 05:07:39 AM
This coin had a cap of over $1mil only a few months ago. Now this measly $20k BS. Devs, there's more money (or bitcoin) to be made here. Don't abandon a worthy project....
1608  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 02, 2014, 08:56:22 PM

I still say lets bribe them to open-source the code before its totally worthless.
The coin could live, code would be reviewed, software development could continue with more than 1 person (or 1 point of failure).

Getting bribed seems like a better way out than to ignore it and run it into the ground and get nothing!  Shocked

Somebody make a poll.

This is it right here. I think its also the reason the coin has gone nowhere. A coin with a hidden code is centralized around the dev, it defeats the whole purpose of what they were trying to create. Please message me if you have any luck reaching them about this bride. I would definitely donate to this. Why not? With hidden code and devs,  all the Super and Mammoth I have will inevitably be worthless anyways.

I also do marketing, videos and promos. I can have websites, SEO and such done as well. But without the code, nobody with any skills wants to put much time into this because there is no reasonable expectation that a profit would be made. No code, no future as a decentralized currency.

I second this. I will also donate once the price tag is defined.
1609  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: October 01, 2014, 04:52:52 PM
Guys I doubt Devs have scammed us, at least not on purpose. They haven't gained anything from this. If it was a scam they would have ran off after the IPO, or dumped their coins and stopped posting after the original pump to 14k sat. They did not and continued to stick around while value was falling, still fixing forks and releasing new wallets etc.

I believe that they have simply lost motivation to continue. They probably thought that after phase 2 the coin would be trading at 20-30k sat. Unfortunately it is not, and they are probably questioning whether it is worth the effort to put time into a project which isn't making anyone anything. I think they started this project with good intentions to try and create a good coin that had a future, but they failed to realize how much it actually takes to create a coin that becomes a TOP coin (marketing, implementation etc.)
They probably realized its more than 2 people can handle (SuperDEV and SuperTEAM). You can't compete against a DEV team of 5-6 people when you only have 1.

I think they haven't scammed us, but they have still failed miserably to communicate with us and try and work together to create progress. Instead they seemed to have turned a blind eye to the problem, and now they maybe feel like they can ignore us and we will go away and forget. Well, I say why don't they show themselves and we can work together to solve these issues. If they choose to run away, well then we can try and pick up the pieces with what we have, or Super coin will be another abandoned coin which would have had potential if handled properly.

Lastly, after some easy research I am 95% sure Devs are located in Turkey and speak Turkish, maybe some other members speak Turkish and could try and communicate and translate more effectively.

Seeing as the main issue is communication, perhaps a translator could knock dev/team off their stubborn pole & get things moving in the right direction again.  I like this idea.
1610  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: September 30, 2014, 10:40:23 PM
i am scared we have all been scammed - the devs are long gone.  Devs who care about their coins dont do this.... its been what 2-3 weeks?  Face it people - supercoin is dead.

you sir are 100% correct big scam from start

Bring out the pitch forks, it's Dev hunting season.
1611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 29, 2014, 04:42:27 PM
nfox is correct, Sadly it appears Dan Metcalf has been shut down by supercointeam:  Undecided
Check out @PHIRECORE's Tweet: https://twitter.com/PHIRECORE/status/510228478349017089 @Phirecore beat me to it!  They requested @atc_secure for his assistance to review supercoin! Thanks NFOX for taking the initiative and reaching out!
these phirecore or cryptocobain or anyone should be able able to send specific tweets so we can help them. They can send pm email or tweet all fine.

atcsecure or other devs connected to xc or drk project can never ever allowed be part of this. There must be out there people can check multisig based trustless systems and understand the innovative technology application on an altcoin.
Which is too bad, because I'm sure it would have brought value. Audits are about getting reviewed from WELL KNOWN & TRUSTED people.

Really put things into perspective when I  dug back 2.5/3 weeks and community was still trying to get responses from DEV/team..
I feel like we are blatantly being ignored at this point, whether dev is mad and his tactic is to ignore, or they don't have the ability to tell us nothing is being progressed.  To make 1 posts in 3 days asking if there are "any plans" and ignoring the 20 questions is pretty damn ignorant.

We've been asking if there are 'any plans' for weeks, if supercointeam is now asking US if there are 'any plans', I don't even know what to think..

Would a non-disclosure and non-compete clause prior to audit give Dev/Team the peace of mind to allow Dan Metcalf to audit?
1612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: September 29, 2014, 02:48:03 PM

Dev/Team, let's hear what you have to say on this. Is this auditor legitimate enough for Super?
1613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Unique Most Advanced Anonymous Trustless Multisig Technology on: September 26, 2014, 01:58:03 PM
The Dev's have gone. I have my doubts that they even read the posts here, or even if they can read English.

It was only yesterday when supercoin"team" has updated the website, twitter & the OP title. Is that gone? Tongue
But I do agree that "team" needs to step up a bit. Just better communication alone will do I reckon. So easy.

Supercointeam, we know English is not your native language. That's okay. We can understand you still. Wink
You just need to "open" up a bit more. Tell us more about the team, what your future plan is, ETA etc.
Surely you can see that you are losing a lot of good people here. All due to inadequate communication!

Some of the stuff that I'm personally curious about are:

1. Do you code yourself or is that only supercoindev?
2. Whenever supercoindev posts something, price goes up & confidence is boosted. So where is he?
3. Isn't it in his best interest to ensure SUPER gains extra traders & investors? So where is he?
4. Why does Qt wallet still use the OLD logo? When will the new wallet be released?
5. Can you explain Proof of RICH? Is supercoindev working on this at all? Any ETA?

Dev, Answer these AND Cryptobulls' PM questions and I will donate 10k.  I'll pledge 5k more donated once price is above 2000 satoshis for 48hr straight (average on bittrex) & another 5k once price is above 4000 satoshis for 48hr (average on bittrex). My donations won't stop there if you start showing some continuous effort for your loyal community followers.

You want donations. We want info. Info leads to price hikes. We can all win in this scenario...

Guys, I welcome others to pledge donations for a later date. Perhaps Dev needs some incentive...

Supercointeam

I think you should stop advertising until you have a finished product that installs easily to release.
Advertising something that does not install easily just chases away half the new users.

I will post this question again, because a working installer is a standard feature of professional software release.

The current windows build does not have an installer, and does not work as downloaded.

When are you going to fix this?

What is the schedule for creating a working installer for all platforms?

+1000

He's right on all accounts.

Though I'm doubtful Dev will respond. Ugh.
1616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 15, 2014, 06:53:13 PM
I'm looking for a PR company. We will fix this Smiley

Now is not the time for advertising.
The developers just told everyone to GFY, and compared themselves to satoshi... Meanwhile the released product does not even install correctly.
This project is now behind many other anon coins, because normal users cannot even install it without multiple manual steps.

Here is one last positive idea, before I decide to spend my time with friendlier and more up-to-date crypto projects.

How about finishing product install for the end users?

Create a windows installer.

The windows wallet does not work as downloaded for normal end users right now.
The product does not include a working supercoin.conf, (unlike many other coins that do). So it does not work as downloaded.
The windows version does not sync and connect to the network until the user does a bunch of manual steps.
Download wallet. Start the wallet. Realize it doesnt work. Read the rest of OP page 1.
Download supercoin.conf. Save it in a location that is not accessible to normal end users.
         Stop and Restart the wallet.

This does not leave a good impression. End users should not have to do anything manually but upgrade.
All other major coins install or upgrade and begin working with no manual steps. Especially during forks.

This is a standard development step for any successful software project, how about adding it to the roadmap?

All of this. More good criticisms & ideas.

Also; the website is atrocious and not even updated.  Still says phase 2 coming.  The whole site needs to be entirely revamped. It flows poorly and the grammar is off-putting and unclear.

No, none of this smoke and mirrors fake followers BS. This will only further damage super.
1618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SUPERCOIN] Mandatory Upgrade V.3.1.1 or V.1.6.1 on: September 15, 2014, 02:00:13 PM

After reading the first post in ages from supercointeam you are again proving that you have no idea what you are doing.

Your repetitive inability to understand anything put to you is mind numbing. You seem to be completely detached from reality.

supercointeam has said -
"It's hard to deal with a community super focused on market prices than product potentials. It's your job to learn and sell this product others not dev team only! We give you priceless unique altcoin that you can proud of. Don't listen those uncertainty sellers."

My answer -
Its  mostly your job and its your job to get a team together to do this. If your not setting an example and leading the way as a leader why should anyone else bother?

Product potentials is most important and you are not providing anything, and you have ignored other peoples request for what is occurring in this area, me being one of them.
( One of my considerations was, - what software is available that is being developed, or still needs to be developed that would enable merchants to accept supercoin, as this is fundemental for use of supercoin, this coin has to be integrated into real world use ).

supercointeam has said -
"you can help by donating to the Supercoin donation wallet in OP... we did before very successful promo actions we can learn how to promo and win."

My answer -
Your endless requests for donations is really annoying and ridiculous in light of what is currently being discussed here.
However,
If you showed proper leadership.
If you gave proper responses that was relevant to what is being asked.
If you was moving forward with a good cohesive plan and building a good core team.
Then people would want to help. but asking people to donate in this current climate is absurd madness.

supercointeam has said -
"We can have a better community and win."

My answer -
Just in case you haven't noticed the community is crumbling around you. If you had been doing your job properly you would have an amazing community. Many good people have turned on you that would be helping you because of your inability to act as a responsible leader. You have placed yourself in a leadership position and you are not even close to performing this task.

Sorry supercointeam but I don't know why you have "team" attached to your title. Or "supercoin" for that matter, because you have not shown that you are a team leader of supercoin.

There is just NO TRUST in supercointeam to be a team leader. Sorry supercointeam but you need help, and you need alot of it. If you can't accept this and organize it get out now.

PLEASE SUPERCOIN DEV, I hate to talk negatively about anyone but can you please replace supercointeam as he really doesn't have a clue what he is doing. Much of your hard work is going to waste because of him. And/Or get people on board to help him. I cannot rely on him, and this community cannot rely on him. He has become the single most destructive part of this coin.

You yourself should be more active with the community to show leadership which will create confidence. If you are limited in time get a team that can, and at least show up from time to time to be part of it all.

Sorry about this post but some things need to be said. If I didn't see the potential I wouldn't care. If I didn't care I wouldn't be here.

+1000

This. Please consider this. Its a shame to have the best tech wasted because of bad PR. . .

Check out @PHIRECORE's Tweet: https://twitter.com/PHIRECORE/status/510045288955150336  Supercointeam & SupercoinDev have been requested to contact CryptoCobain & Kristov Atlas over Twitter so we all know they made a real attempt to prove to the world they're the best and the most skilled cryptocurrency Devs around.  I would suggest they use #supercoin in a public tweet when contacting them so we all know they made a serious effort.

It's pretty important to note that CryptoCobain & Kristov Atlas are WAITING FOR SUPERCOIN TEAM TO CONTECT THEM!.
They will not contact us! I got the feeling that the Super Team is waiting for the guys to get in contact, that probably will not happen. We want sth from them so please contact them asap! Thx Smiley

It seems that supercoin team are quite often waiting for something to happen, and not making things happen themselves.
This supercointeam needs to be a cohesive team of people working together for the betterment of this coin in as many ways as possible. Comes across as one person though.
And this causes to much pressure on a single person if there is a minimal team.
A core team should grow with selected people to enhance the scope of supercoin, with quick development on any key issues.

@ Devs: Can we discuss the SuperNet option?

I would like to know what the community and the devs think about it.

I think this is a great opportunity and SuperNet is very interesting.

This Supernet project does look interesting.
Applying to join might be a good idea, even if supercoin does not join it. Approval would just validate supercoins unique features and be great advertising.
Their requirements include multisig, and a unique feature (like supersend).

This description is interesting: http://supernet.answerbase.com/1098611/I-do-not-understand-how-the-SuperNet-will-work-exactly-Can-someone-explain-to-me
It describes a 3 way conversion ltc-bbr-ltc, to enable anonymous transactions by jumping blockchains.
Supercoin and supersend would do this better and faster, and it would be anonymous.
Now might be a good time to explain this to them, before another anoncoin grabs the spot.

Agreed. If we do this after SuperSend Trustless passes the CryptoCobain audit, we can expect a significant difference in BTC flowing into Super.

Supernet is not having a problem finding 100's of btcs in funding, simply applying or full out joining the project would put Super in the light of many investors.
