1621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Prompt safe staking with good APY on: August 21, 2022, 02:10:09 PM
No one can assure you that you can earn at a particular site or something. It will not be easy to recover, but you must be consistent. I think reputable exchanges such as Binance have corresponding stakes and rewards that would benefit users and stakers. I have been using it for a while and holding BNB; I'm just waiting there and collecting the rewards.

Every one of us for sure doesn't want to lose any money. It's up to you your discipline yourself so that you can manage not to lose money anymore and not be careless.
Not all coins or token have stable price when entry for staking, I have checked with AXS as profitable coins for staking and give good APY about 75% on Binance, but price drastically dump above $100 until today under $20. I think not profitable with staking exactly choose with yearly staking coin. Better try another option like trading or investing on some potential coins without have to lock our coins and have chance for selling on the top price. But with BNB could said as profitable staking coin because give not bigger APY reward like the other coin can reach above 50%, but BNB looks have small APY given and I think still waste our time when unlocking time period coming we can't unlock BNB coin.
I had my fair share of staking opportunities and the sad part is that I have locked it for a long time hoping that it would even be higher in price. It's just that if I had taken it differently or shortened the amount of staked time on that coin, then I could probably profited from it than the value it has now knowing that the price has crashed. It's always going to be a dilemma when it comes to that type of investment.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on Ethereum Classic (ETC) with the upcoming ETH merge? on: August 21, 2022, 03:34:31 AM
Isn't the reason that ETC was born because a DAO hack had left investors down and had to revert it to the previous chain where the hack didn't happen, right? So it's just that ETC is for POW miners who are really die-hard mining it. So why would they choose to migrate now instead of starting it first? They probably want to stay with ETH mainchain because it's the main one. So presumably, they would get the ETHpow or something.
1623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are candlestick patterns overrated? on: August 19, 2022, 10:56:39 AM
I still think that it would depend on your approach and your style in trading because that’s how you will know what you would do depending on the current market situation. So I think it’s not overrated or something; it’s just that it is underused in trading.

I know some people who have used Heiken Ashi candles. They are Japanese candles representing the market trend whether up or down trend depending on whether it will change and direction, if I’m not mistaken.

It would depend on how you would use the candle, and as long as it works with the different indicators, you will use it.
1624  Economy / Economics / Re: Satellite data finds landfills are methane 'super emitters' on: August 18, 2022, 05:43:05 AM
Upon checking scientific research, some papers focus on capturing and recovering CH4 or Methane and then have it stored in some storage. According to this Peter Englezos, the author of this paper,[1]. He said that it is feasible to recover CH4 from CH4/CO2 and then when it is separated, collect CO2 as well.

Landfills probably contain both compounds and a mixture of them. It's important to have it collected and processed with low energy requirements as possible to provide the most efficient way with less harm to the environment.

There are very few applications of low-carbon methane fuel for hypersonic propulsion[2]. So if ever there would be a focus on SpaceX research, maybe this could be the improvement and upgrade of the current

1625  Other / Meta / Re: Sending merit to merit worthy posts to team members. How would you look at it? on: August 17, 2022, 03:41:32 PM
Consider my personal account is a merit source or say not anymore or it was never a merit source lol.
So you are saying that you have another account here and it "was" a merit source but just got stripped of that title or something?

When I see a post is merit worthy I send merit. But I am hesitating to send merit to the team members in the Ann thread and other threads created from the official account.
One mind says it's okay, they are not my alt accounts but another mind is saying sending merit to them seems like I am giving them an unethical (may be not) favour.
Well, I don't think there's an official rule with merits but as long as you are meriting what you want, why not? But the view of other members here is probably the same in which they are going to be quite suspicious of posts that have merit that doesn't have any substance, value, or repetitiveness of the post. If that happens, it means it's there's an agenda there or something.
1626  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it me or the private sector in the EU is dead ? on: August 17, 2022, 03:27:34 PM
With everything happening in the world, it's not a surprise that industries are heavily affected by the crisis. The recession has begun, and it's just the start. It will be heavily stressful to have those properties at this time because of what's happening. If you need something, find it in a different industry.

People are probably scared to do something now in the agriculture business or even people with an interest in building businesses. It's just hard now with everything that is happening.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How profitable Is investing in a crypto casino or sportbook? on: August 17, 2022, 06:29:33 AM
Well, you can compare different crypto casinos here, and I have some outdated threads that I don't know whether will help you or not.

1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Attack on aUSD tokens on: August 16, 2022, 10:48:22 AM
It's effortless money for those who could catch this kind of dump. I hope they manage to fix this quickly, and hopefully, no one gets burned, but the scammers only. It's not going to work anymore if they don't, though. But at least, upon checking now on Coingecko, it has already reached $0.941389 (upon this posting)

What parameters are there for why there would be attacks like this? Like how do they spot these exploits?
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Expect The Bear Season. on: August 16, 2022, 02:58:26 AM
If this is going to be the case, then a bear season will come because there would be a lot of volumes coming towards the market. I hope that you know that anything can happen. Maybe the receivers of those BTC are just going to wait for the price to climb before it all comes crashing down again. I agree that we can just wait and see.
1630  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [ARTICLE] Nice shout out to Elias on: August 15, 2022, 09:13:56 PM
Revised probably in 2016? And yes he is a member here Elianite https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=231497
Maybe it's in the works already. I can't find where the first edition is or something. I only have seen the latest that he has written, Blockland[1]. Thanks for sharing his profile. it's amazing to see his account and also his published works.

So many new items have come and gone since the last edition.....a newer updated version needs to get done.

It would take much time to do the research and gather the info....someday someone will for sure.
I do hope someone would be able to do it with all the recent things and maybe some pandemic happenings and what happened with all the logistical nightmare happening etc.

It seems like an exciting book because making it an encyclopedia about Physical Bitcoins and crypto-currencies.

Anyway, it says it's a revised edition here.

https://www.amazon.com/Encyclopedia-Physical-Bitcoins-Crypto-Currencies-Revised/dp/0995089922

Isn't that already the updated one?

And is Elias a member here or something? Or just really knows a lot about crypto?
1632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mastering the market movement is what aid profits and not the price. on: August 15, 2022, 02:57:23 AM
I believe that taking advantage of the market would mean that you are going to trade your most optimal way, and with cryptocurrency markets, that's going to be 24/7, and that's going to continue much in the long run. So you would probably take advantage of a trading bot that could do that even while you sleep. I recommend Gunbot as your go-to bot because it can do the job for you.

You would probably need to apply and employ various strategies to adapt to the market with different market conditions. There should also be a risk management part for your portfolio so you wouldn't lose it all. You can also set that up with Gunbot if you prefer it.
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will get more demand on: August 14, 2022, 02:46:07 PM
Hmm. Am I curious why it would be wrong to think of it that way? I guess it would dump in the short term, but it would still yield high returns in a long time since many people would use the coin to improve their projects further. We wouldn't know what would happen until we are there; as long as you know what you are doing, you wouldn't be affected by price changes like the volatility that we have now.
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Smart Contracts Deployed per Month Decreasing on: August 14, 2022, 01:58:16 PM
Maybe the people who are getting involved in ETH just decreased and not going to be able to put more impact at the rate that it is now. I think that the point in checking is that they are having ETH as something profiting and not as project creation or something like that. Maybe they are trying to HODL only and therefore less movements in the blockchain.
1635  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to play Slot on: August 12, 2022, 03:11:07 PM
I thought this was like a time of the day or something, but I haven't thought of what days in the year. I was thinking only at midnight or early morning, something like that. I just wanted to know how we could verify this or quantify it to make it real.

You'll never know; you just have to play in the afternoon at Christmas or something.  Shocked
1636  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another one bites the dust! But this one's different. The Hotbit case. on: August 12, 2022, 09:52:27 AM
It's unfortunate for the users of that exchange. They didn't do anything, and they get to be frozen out of their funds. But if the business isn't compliant with anything, then it's a time bomb with what they will do with their operations. They have probably looking for a fall guy or something with what they have done, and it is fishy just to do that and make people feel that it is still there. It's probably gone now.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GALA to 1$ on: August 12, 2022, 09:07:30 AM
I have never seen some token do everything in terms of different industries. It's nice to see the plans that they have, though. I never knew that they were planning something like that. Upon searching, it seems that it's pretty old. The article[1] is in February 2022, so there might be some less marketing since I haven't seen it or anything.

If they manage to take over the different industries, they can be more than $1.

Can Lewis Hamilton keep going until he is 50?
Highly unlikely but as someone else had already mentioned, it is now more about driving longer than their competition more then anything else.
I don't think he will go that far though but retirement is just a fancy word that they could get back on. Look at Alonso, he should be retired but went back at it again. So we will never know right now but I think Lewis is still gearing up for that 8th championship, maybe.

I am pretty sure there are many people who wish completely opposite - not the break records and keep it for other driver (or at least keep the legend alive)  Many people were tired with "Hamilton's era" (Mercedes cars were the fastest, penalties were not so strong as for other drivers etc.), and at the end it is kind of show business, people want to see show, people want entertainment. Change of rules, new cars - and Hamilton is not it top 3.
Are you one of those people that wants the complete opposite? Isn't it time to replace the legend and make him a legend as well? (He is already I think)

There will be new drivers, new money coming to F1. Maybe not from Russia (at least for some time), but there are always dozens of drivers who want to take his seat. And I am sure that Mercedes is looking for a new driver to be Russel's partner - they have their "academy" so they know who could be the candidate.
Where did that come from? Mercedes looking for a new driver? I don't think Toto has said anything about that and Lewis is still the driver that they would want to have.

I do not think that other teams would suddenly start to be a horrible one, which leaves us with Lewis ending up fighting for it again on not the best car. He has never won a title without the best car under him, doubt he will do it at this age.
The game is changing so maybe he can win by experience next year or something.
1639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Best Trading Events to win some crypto? on: August 12, 2022, 02:41:55 AM
I have joined multiple trading tournaments held by Gunthy[1] and won my fair share of the prize pool.

You could win USD and Gunthy tokens if you are able to generate the highest PNL% with volume in trading. You can view more information here[2]

If you are not familiar with Gunbot[3], I could help you out and help you join the tournament.

I don't like the idea of Lewis retiring. Imagine him being a seven-time world champion, and I would want him to have more. Because imagine, he will overtake Michael Schumacher with the times he has been the champion, and he will be the G.O.A.T of F1. He still has a lot of fuel left to win a championship. Maybe not now, but we will see. I hope he does his best, though.
