You are right for the fact that the info on available balance for exchange is needed, i don't know why kraken don't give it.

Probably in the simple interface of the standard site, they forgot...

I think you can also try to contact the support, and ask for this feasture, i don't know if they listen to users sugestions but giving a try, why not ?

I'm an experienced trader, so for me the pro version is what i usually use in all the exchange i use, so for me is not a problem, but i understand that not all people like to use a so rich inteface UI.

Cheers
I've contacted the live support from Kraken finally. And their answer has been to invite me to use pro.kraken.com instead, as you did or another Kraken website/UI : https://trade.kraken.com ... or to deduct manually the amount of my orders from my balance  Cheesy They said they will forward my query about the legacy interface though.
I don't like very much the trade.kraken interface so I decided to switch for the pro.kraken one. It reminds me the one of Bitfinex a little bit, and I start to appreciate it.

https://hellosafe.fr/investissement/crypto-monnaie/carte-europe-fiscalite-crypto

That also marks the end of the EPL returns promotions. Pretty solid promotions imo overall, exactly 20% back if you bet at $50. Anyway sportsbet is abit late on the free chips today as I normally would have gotten mine at this hour but not an issue though, just saying.
Are you sure this promotion has ended? Because even if it no longer appears in the active promotions, February matches with rewards have been recently added to the promotion page. But it's not exactly a 20% cashback for $50 bets actually, since rewards are given in free chips. That means you'll only earn the winnings of your bet. Betting on red or black at the roulette will give you $10 if you win while you have only half chance to win. So it only gives you a 10% cashback in realty if you bet on 1:1 outcomes.

You are also right in that! I didn’t do the calculations but thought there would be more profit left when you would place a counterbet. Best option to counterbet was probably by watching the match live and hoping that Djokovic would fall behind as the odd would go up a bit.
Yes I agree with you, it can be a good strategy to place a counterbet during the event, if you think you haven't made a smart bet or if you need to preserve your bank roll. But you must do it on a reliable and reputed sportsbook because live odds are usually terrible, especially if you can't watch the game. During the Australian Open I've placed a live bet @1.02 on Kokkinakis against Andy Murray one day and I lost, now I'm convinced real odds were way higher than that actually, and he wasn't about to win in reality.

Like all the others I'll also advise you to ask for support about your issue because so far none of the members have experienced what you've experienced, update us so we'll also know if they will send the fund back or if you will have to wait for the self-exclusion to expire, I hope you did not self exclude yourself for a year.
This is a good topic it seldom happens but it really happens and this will become a reference for those who deposited then forgot they self-excluded themselves.

My account was self excluded for a year, 48 weeks left. Support told me that I have to wait for 48 weeks to be able to withdraw my funds. I guess I will wait Smiley
How have you been able to deposit funds on your account? Did you use a former deposit address you remembered or you've been able to use the normal deposit feature like any random customer not self-excluded? If people ask for self-exclusion, it's precisely to avoid losing their funds, so I don't understand the point of letting them deposit funds in order to lock them Huh I really hope for you they will let you withdraw your own funds in one year. But the way they are doing doesn't sound very honest and professional.
There are many complaints on Askgamblers and Casino Guru regarding issues with their self-exclusion process. Their overall rating is currently very low on Askgamblers btw (5.13)

1631  Economy / Gambling / Re: Arbitrage betting tips on: February 01, 2023, 12:43:11 PM
With normal beting (gambling) you lose your money longterm. So i think its better to earn some money with arbitrage + bonuses from bookmaker rather than lose money
You are missing the point. Some sites restrict/limit arbers immediately which implies that you will end up earning small profits overall.

Banning users just for being profitable is not a practice that should be tolerated. Sites guilty of that should be ostracised by the gambling community, and we can't blame OP if that happens to anyone.
Arbing isn't something new and sites have been limiting arbers from a long time now which makes sense since they don't want to hand out free money. They are trying to earn and survive too at the end of the day.
I agree with you for the smallest or the newest ones, they just try to "survive" at the end of the day as you say. But I totally disagree for the bigger ones. They are far from only surviving. According to one Stake co-founder, Gambling is nothing less than the killer application of cryptocurrencies.

Quote
So big is Stake that its owners claim it accounts for about 7 per cent of total Bitcoin transactions around the world daily (blockchain.com statistics show there are usually 200,000 to 300,000 Bitcoin transactions per day). “People have been trying to find the killer application for cryptocurrency,” says Tehrani. “Well, it’s gambling.”
Quote
Documentation seen by The Weekend Australian Magazine shows that Stake customers around the world bet an average $US400m ($590m) each day using cryptocurrency – although none of it in Australia, where online casinos are banned. The business is set to crack $1bn in profits this year – as much money as supermarket giant Coles makes and three times the earnings of the privately held Chemist Warehouse last year.
https://www.theaustralian.com.au/weekend-australian-magazine/these-men-are-conquering-crypto-but-are-the-stakes-too-high/news-story/11cb0db4257ec9e703e225f1d91a5b8c https://archive.is/0kRLn

And the money they make from their customers is just unbelievable.

Since the media investigation, 27-year-old Craven has been dubbed the country’s youngest ever self-made billionaire by The Australian Financial Review’s annual Young Rich List. (Tehrani, 29, is a US citizen and precluded from the list but is also estimated to be worth more than $1 billion.) The Coffs Harbour-raised Craven recently splashed some of that cash, breaking the Melbourne house price record in 2022 with his purchase of a Toorak home for $80 million soon after picking up another home in the neighbourhood for $38.5 million.

Yes, I think it would have ended up being close to what I originally found the odds (23x++) if not even more. So let's say I put $1 on this right? (I actually put $5 but let's just say for easier math.

Normally I would also think about the counterbet but Djokovic was less than 1.2 to bet on.

So even if I bet 10x what I would win from Tsitsipas, I would only get back almost the same amount of money I placed on Tsitsipas anyway. Meaning, I put down $10, I would win less than $2.

Nett profit: $<12 - $10 (counterbet) $1 (initial bet) = <$1.

And if Tsitsipas did win, I would only gain $13. Because I put the counterbet.
Nett profit: $23 - $1 (initial bet) - $10 (counterbet) = $13

So If you think about it, should I counterbet to have a tiny net profit at the cost of losing almost half of potential big profit? Smiley

It doesn't make sense right? To me anyway, but yeah I get it, we should always try to make profit.
It could make sense if you want to protect your bank roll, because the volatility is very high when you place bets on such high odds. When you undergo a bad streak with 2x odds, you will hardly lose more than 10 times in a row. But when you undergo a bad streak at such high odds as 23x, you can easily lose more than one hundred times in a row. So even if you only bet $5, you can lose more than $500.
By placing counterbets you will reduce this volatility. Moreover if you hold FUN tokens, you will get a bigger cashback because the total amount you wager will be higher.

It simply means that "they don't want to give you back your money" That's what they have always done to their customers

I stopped using HitBTC a long time ago, but i tried logging in today and this is what I got. Very laughable. Imagine if I had left money there

That's appalling... On the other hand, if you had "only" less than several dozens USD of cryptos remaining on your account they are certainly already swept by them. Because they're applying a new rule since several months without noticing users.
If you have not made any trade, deposit or withdrawal during 6 consecutive months they take a $10 fee each extra month of inactivity. And it wouldn't be surprising if they apply this rule to locked accounts too.

Quote
17.4. Inactive Account Fee. In case during 6 (six) months the User has not made a single Trade, or single Deposit, or single Withdrawal of Funds, the Account of such User shall be considered Inactive Account (“Inactive Account “). For all Inactive Accounts, HITBTC applies a monthly fee, which is the equivalent of 10 (ten) USDT at the current SPOT rate of the USDT to the Currency in which the fee will be debited (“Inactive Account Fee “). From the moment of recognizing the Account as Inactive, HITBTC has the right, without notification of the User, to debit Inactive Account Fee every calendar month. Inactive Account Fee debit occurs before the 10th (tenth) day of each such month. Herewith, the Account ceases to be considered an Inactive Account from the date of execution of any of the following actions: one Trade, one Deposit, one Withdrawal of Funds. The debiting of Inactive Account Fee shall discontinue from the date when the Account ceases to be considered an Inactive Account. Inactive Account Fee is debited by HITBTC in any Currency in which the Funds are available in Inactive Account at the time of such debit. If the amount of Funds in User Account is less than the amount of Inactive Account Fee, HITBTC debits the entire balance of Funds from such Account. Inactive Account Fee is debited starting from 1 June 2021 for each Account, which is considered as Inactive Account as of such date and hereinafter for each Account that is considered as Inactive Account according to the conditions specified in this Clause.

If the only solution offered to customers is to use another website that's sad. I don't need and don't want to use an heavy User Interface, I'm pleased and accustomed to the one of the normal version for the trades I need to place there. It's really weird and I think not normal, to not display the balance available to place orders, that's a very common and basic feature on any exchange, but I will use the "pro" UI if I have no other option.
1636  Economy / Gambling / Re: Arbitrage betting tips on: January 29, 2023, 08:51:47 PM
Cool thread op, but you didn't mention how arbitrage betting could lead to accounts getting restricted/limited when they get detected for obvious reasons. You should have mentioned that it isn't a risk-free strategy.

So to know how much you should bet on each outcome, you have to apply this formula :

For the first bet : Odds_1st_outcome x Total_Stake / (Odds_1st_outcome + Odds_2nd)

For the second bet : Odds_2nd x Total_Stake / (Odds_1st_outcome + Odds_2nd)
or simpler : Total_Stake - Stake_first_bet
This is helpful, but complicated since there are simpler solutions out there.

Example: https://arbitragecalc.com/

The above site calculates how much you need to place on 2 or more sides in order to ensure a guaranteed profit no matter who wins. Also, betting whole numbers helps your accounts last longer.
Thank you for your link but unfortunately it doesn't take into account pushing bets, and half-winning or half-losing(half-pushing) ones. I'm not an "arber" but from what I see here many opportunities come from bet with handicaps, so I assume there should be opportunities from the asian handicap bets too.

@Ivekzg, no your thread is very good and very interesting, it's generous from you to share that for free. I'm sure it will attract more bettors in the coming days but as I said above they are not many here.

I think you misunderstood me..
The active players who claim the bonus are usually the ones who lose it again. You can find enough evidence for that in the shoutbox. For them it's just another bullet... which probably attracts them again to deposit more. Because at some point you have to win - at least that's what they tell themselves.  Wink

That inactive accounts or accounts that no longer actively play there get the bonuses anyway I know and I have never claimed otherwise in my posts before?
I'm one of the players who are no longer active on Stake but claim the bonuses. My statement was simply that I do not get the alleged minimum of 25$ because I no longer wager money.

Next time please read more carefully before accusing me of something.  Roll Eyes
I don't understand why you're saying that, you haven't said in your post that you are still claiming the bonuses so I don't see how I could guess it. How you didn't realize that post-monthly bonuses don't depend on your wagering volume btw? Moreover you didn't tell you were just surprised by the amount received, you said that you were surprised he "still get at least something". In addition you've claimed that dead accounts "that only claim the bonuses, they have nothing". So please be of good faith dude...  Tongue Anyway, despite your new explanations I still think you're wrong because I don't think active players are more likely to make a deposit they wouldn't have made without the bonus than inactive ones. I think the exact opposite actually, so for me it makes sense this way.
1638  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Everton Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: January 29, 2023, 07:23:50 PM
Ofc. The post monthly or monthly bonus is calculated only according to the wager in the period.
I just wanted to clarify that there is no minimum, so it is not correct that you always get the same bonus when you wagered... the variable is the amount wagered. Smiley

That makes total sense if you look at it from the casino's POV. It makes more sense that you "reward" the active players or make it as attractive as possible. From dead accounts that only claim the bonuses, they have nothing... I'm surprised that you still get atleast something.
It surprises you because you think wrong, it doesn't make sense from the casino perspective as you say to reward the active customers and to not give anything to the dead ones, actually. Active customers don't need to get hooked, they are already here while those who left because they've lost too much money or because they've found a better place need to be attracted there again. So even if you don't bet there since several months, you'll still get these bonuses.

Also, I am currently about half way towards copper, I have got no rush whatsoever.
I am very casual.
VIP copper you mean? What is that? It's a new rank there?
1639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Arbitrage betting (Surebets) on: January 29, 2023, 06:54:10 PM
Ivekzg can maybe confirm it but I don't think their TOS prohibit arbitrage betting, it wouldn't be lawful and they have no oversight to know you have place another bet on the opposite outcome at another sportsbook.
The OP doesn't mention specific names of sportsbooks. Each one should be analyzed individually. Like I said, the size of the wager can be enough for them to see it's an arbitrage bet.

Even if the TOS doesn't mention arbitrage betting itself, they can have a vague term like: We reserve the right to close your account and confiscate any money used in a way that is detriment to our businesses. The statement doesn't mention anything specific, but justifies their actions and gives them the right to protect their business (according to them). Then it's on the player to fight and prove his innocence.
It would be a pure abusive term, any sportsbook applying this kind of unfair clause should be blacklisted and given bad ratings and feedbacks on review platforms. Sportbooks are the ones defining rules, when a customer win without breaking those rules, the sportbook has no right to refuse to pay his winnings neither to confiscate his funds by saying you've made too much profits from us, it hurts our business. 99% of customers lose money at sportbooks and casinos, part of them even destroy their lives by betting loaned or stolen funds, and we don't see them claiming their money back because it has harmed their capital too much. People are free to bet wherever they want, so it's none of their business if the customer wants to bet on the same event at another sportsbook.
1640  Economy / Gambling / Re: Arbitrage betting tips on: January 29, 2023, 05:31:10 PM
As the title says this thread will be for arbitrage betting tips only.
So lets go.

NCAA
Siena @ Marist

Marist  total 60,5

Under Cloudbet 2,27
Over Pinnacle 1.813
Profit 0,80%
[...]
Unfortunately most of users don't know much about betting here. So I think it would be useful to tell them which fraction of their stake they have to put on each outcome to get those profits. Or at least to explain how they have to calculate it. Because if you put the same stake on each outcome while one odds is below 2.00 you won't get any profits if this outcome wins.
Here if I put $100 on Under and Over 60,5. If Over wins @1.813, I will lose $100 for my bet on Under and only win $81.3 for my bet on Over. That is to say, I will lose $81.3 - $100 = -$18.7

So to know how much you should bet on each outcome, you have to apply this formula :

For the first bet : Odds_1st_outcome x Total_Stake / (Odds_1st_outcome + Odds_2nd)
