1641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A day in the life of a pirate. on: May 24, 2012, 02:57:48 AM
I'm not paying interesting interest (see I'm just tired) in fiat, it's in Bitcoins.  My lenders do whatever they want with the profits I pay out.

Oh there are doubts what you are paying interest in. Or more accurately that you prefer to have 2-3 orders of magnitude higher cost of capital when denominated in BTC as compared to cost of capital denominated in USD. This much is clear and really indisputable.

My statement is still not refuted:

Quote
there are only two possibilities:

1. The issuer is acting irrationally.
2. The issuer is offloading to "investors" some enormous risks. As such these are not really "investors", but simply gamblers. And they should be really not so much concerned about return on capital as about return of capital.

Is there a third possibility? If yes what it is? If not, is it 1 or 2?

Regular bitcoin interest rates in the lending sub forums are 10-15% a MONTH. This is because of bitcoins unknown future. So your 2-3 orders of magnitude arguments is kind of nulled because if you need more bitcoins and you don't want to buy them, you will be paying these rates. So pirate is really only paying 2x normal BITCOIN interest rates.

Edit:

Here is a link to the lending subforum for those who may have missed it.

So we'll take this point by point to help clarify for you what is going on here.

Lmao..

ya, its my fault the drips of btc stopped..

Keep defending him boys!

He's still got people to scam!   Dont let him stop now..

I am in no way defending Shakaru. I am instead letting you know that making threatening statements on the forums in unacceptable.

Its not my fault you got scammed the worst Giga, I feel for you, I do, seeing the amount owed to you was one of my reasons to take care of this..

But now that you've washed your hands and sold the debt to someone more guilible than yourself..  well.. your the winner right ?

I a big boy and can take care of my own shit. I took a hair cut for not doing my own due diligence. That is my fault and I certainly do not need your help.

And after seeing how much of a jerkoff your being, while Im trying to fix this, I question your loyals.

The only person being a jerkoff is the one who has now threatened multiple people on the forums. This, to me, is unacceptable.

Im out, this is just another witch hunt again for you boys, miss-directing your rage on me.. I get it..

What else can ya do when you have no spine ?

Cheers!

Smiley

Ultimately what I am trying to get at, is that you are threatening people where I do business. You are not helping the community in anyway by posting this stuff.
1643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Accusations against shakaru on: May 23, 2012, 06:14:13 PM
If you dont like how I do business, keep it to yourself please, Gigavps, I respect you, and wish to have no quarrels with you.

So, lets see here, where do I start.

1. I cannot condone violence of any kind here or anywhere which you are implying with your posts.
2. If you go through with this, you've pretty much sunk yourself because there is now evidence of premeditation.
3. You have caused whomever was mining to the collections address to stop.
4. You are basically ruining it for anyone who is owed money by threatening Shakaru.

I have no respect for anyone who conducts business in this way. Also, I will not be silenced when I see drivel like this posted on the forums.

Keep the PM's comming, Im building a list of people and amounts.

So far the amount is staggering, how it got this far is beyond me. I get a new pm everyday on amounts to add to total answering.

And in case you are a complete idiot, which I'm fully expecting, you'll notice there is already a thread started regarding outstanding debts and collections.

Since he's a broke ass pot smoker living on the charity of a highschool friend I dont expect to get much, but I will certainly make him answer for his scams.

His roomate also seems to want to have a career in the legal field in the future,  I wonder whats going to happen when I get there...

Its a shame I have to ruin her day too.

WTF is this shit. You're going make him answer for his scams? You're going to ruin his roommate's day too?

Are you a fucking idiot posting stuff like this or just brain dead?

Quoted for posterity.
1646  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Dwolla USD for Mt Gox Code or BitCoin @ Current Exchange on: May 23, 2012, 04:17:53 PM
I also did $400 worth of trading dwolla for mt gox codes with Gigavps last week. He responded very quickly and was great to work with.

Confirmed and ditto.
1647  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: USD between MTGOX <--> DWOLLA on: May 23, 2012, 02:13:45 PM
I am out of the game for a while.

Please continue to use this thread to trade dwolla for mtgox.

Hi,

Bamt seem to be an amazing cp for mining rigs, tyvm sending some coins after get this problem solved:

I have Gigabyte 990fx mobo, got it booting thanks to additional image & second reader. Originally rig had 4 x 5850 but I had to replace 1 with Sapphire Radeon 6870 OC edition.

I can downclock core & memory easily on 5850s but not on 6870 OC. I think log revealed the problem:

(--) PCI: (0:2:0:0) 1002:6738:174b:e178 ATI Technologies Inc rev 0, Mem @ 0xc0000000/268435456, 0xfdec0000/131072, I/O $ @ 0x0000de00/256, BIOS @ 0x?HuhHuh?/131072

So seems 6870 bios (starting address?) location is missing. Does this mean that bios is locked or just not recognized right?
Would really appreciate help because this rotten egg in rig totally messes up both power consumption & heat values.

Thankyou anyway for BAMT & all who have been contributing.

Most 6xxx series cards you'll need to flash the bios to get low memory with overclocking.

My workers have been unable to connect to gpumax for the past couple of days (leased and non-leased); cgminer shows the pool as 'dead'. I suspect site maintenance but haven't heard one way or another ... anyone else having this issue? The website remains accessible, though.

I am not 100% on this, but if you are using an older version of cgminer, like before 2.3.6, zux0r may now be blocking you.
1651  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Bitcoin Savings and Trust on: May 22, 2012, 02:27:14 AM
Pirate was so fast with me, the coins were in my wallet with 144 confirmations before I even asked for them.

That's because every machine that mines shares from GPUMax receives a trojan that is part of the PirateNet.  That's why people saw the fluctuations in their reported hashing before he worked the kinks out of the system.

Didn't you ever notice that "I control your machine," is an anagram of "GPUMax rocks" in Akkadian?  And of course we all know that the Cajuns are the Akkadians who came to America when the Sea Peoples left the Mediterranean after the collapse of Atlantis.

It's one short drive from Cajun country to PirateVille, and now you know why he *really* uses that nom de guerre.

Who gave reeses the salad shooter.... and when are they going to take it back?

Ill keep my eyes open for it when I go visit him very soon.

If you are going to visit shakaru, fine, go visit him. Why you keep announcing it is beyond me.

18.5kw getting some voltage drop seeing about 230 volts at the computers.

~.07 per kw

Not too shabby if .07 includes taxes / fees / etc
1655  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: May 21, 2012, 07:19:12 PM
mtminer, how much amperage are you pulling, and did you run new circuits to accommodate it?  Or is that in some sort of office space that already has plenty of available amperage?

When I moved in there last year I lucked out and where a bunch of 20 amp 240 plugs but the rig outgrew that so recently putting in 4 30amp and 1 20amp 240 runs to clean up things as the extension cords where getting bit out of hand.

Currently the rig is pulling ~80 amps for everything.

19.2kWh but at what price per kWh?

Think you've got enough tags there?  Cheesy

I'm on the metaphorical edge of my seat; when do you plan to divulge further details regarding this "huge" news?

There are only so many reason to move a mining farm......  Cheesy
1659  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone know jjjrmy or bitpay merchant solutions? on: May 18, 2012, 01:41:27 AM
I would personally vouch for both jjjrmy and bit-pay merchant solutions.

I have met these guys in person and we meetup regularly to buy burgers and beers with bitcoins.
1660  Economy / Services / Re: Gigamining / Teramining on: May 17, 2012, 10:33:28 PM
To all gigaminers,

Gigamining is moving!

This means that the mining status page will in the coming weeks show all of the GPUs not hashing. Not to worry though, this is all part of the HUGE news coming in the near future for gigamining. This move is a very significant first step of what is to come.

Rest assured that coupon payments will continue with BFL mini rigs to be delivered shortly. There will be pics and videos too.  Wink

All the best,
gigavps
