1641  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be more useful in this forum on: April 13, 2023, 11:10:16 AM
I have similar problem here, trying to be useful in the forum but I think we need to pay more attention to areas we're best good at, most at times we try to do what we're not, trying to said what you can't defend. Personally I have decided to do more of listening, readings, and questioning posts and comments of others, so that I can stand my ground and figure out the areas am best at.

You have a very distorted understanding of the usefulness of the forum. Creating a thousand threads that don't talk about anything useful will be defined as a detriment to the forum rather than a benefit. But no matter what you say, your supposedly smart conclusions still do not say that you see the situation correctly.
This is exactly the same for the OP. OP, it will do you good not to litter the forum with topics that have been discussed many times; other than that, don't consider yourself too tricky, thinking that no one sees anything.
I would just like to advise all followers similar to these two that all first topics are always considered on a larger scale by users, including the entire posting history of the creators of new topics. It is desirable to see the sequence of all topics so that one day your fantasies do not put you in an awkward position.

The day after his murder this was the announcement made by the federal government:

The U.S. Federal Reserve Banking System Is Launching Its Own "Cash App" Called "Fed Now" In July. This Is A Movement Towards Getting Rid Of Physical Money And Having Digital Currensy

The Federal Reserve is developing the FedNow Service, a safe and efficient instant payments infrastructure that will modernize the U.S. payment system and enable financial institutions of all sizes to offer customers the ability to send and receive money in near real time, around the clock, 365 days a year.

"Today, consumers want to send and receive money in seconds – also known as instant payments. The payments industry has worked quickly to meet this demand, but the solutions aren’t without growing pains,” says Ken Montgomery, FedNow program executive. “The time for modernizing our nation’s payment system is now."

Now looking at it,  the timing feels very coincidental.

1643  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 12, 2023, 01:35:18 PM
If you look at your activity on the forum, we can conclude that you have free time. What if you set aside your free time for extra income? Now the network has job offers that people are willing to pay in bitcoin. You could keep all the money earned in Bitcoin, thereby not touching your basic salary, and at the same time be an investor.
I see that you regularly try to create topics; for sure, the hope of getting merit plays a motivational role for you. But if you see that your attempts at authoring new topics are in vain, maybe you should not waste time on this but go and look for additional income in what you do better.
Just think about your time.
1644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: we don't have proper education on bitcoin. on: April 12, 2023, 07:54:39 AM
OP, what's wrong with your logic? Let's go back to your posts from just a month ago.Grin

can someone who is not well educated (secondary school graduate) understand the statistics of bitcoin investment or Bitcoin trading?
Anyone with a good brain will understand Bitcoin trading and Bitcoin investment. No special educational qualification is necessary to understand it. But yes if you want to do something good from here then its information should be understood specially by your conscience.

Based on this, can I assume that people who have a "bad brain" are those who cannot understand Bitcoin?

It is here on the forum that I see so many people from the Third World, as you put it, who are very good, and some are studying diligently and already know about Bitcoin. Therefore, it is difficult to talk about countries. The Internet is available everywhere; among us, there are people who came to the forum with only mobile phones, without computers or laptops. Information about Bitcoin is available to everyone and everywhere, but the interests of people cannot converge on only one, hence the differences in opinion.
Start with yourself; if you know something, and if there is a desire to inform others, act!

PS:
By the way, you can spread information about Bitcoin from all your accounts, do not be shy. Grin

1645  Economy / Economics / Re: using credit card on: April 12, 2023, 07:35:21 AM
Your understanding of what is best for your budget speaks volumes about your actual maturity. A credit card allows you to feel like the owner of your life just up to the first interest charge, which will be charged without unnecessary regrets about the card owner's expenses. Someone above unsubscribed that using the card is not freedom at all but slavery, and this is rather the most correct definition of it. In addition, even if you use the card carefully, calculate your expenses, and maybe even not use it for a while, banks will still charge interest for having it. This only confirms additionally that banks will never do anything for the benefit of the client without personal gain.
1646  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What's a crypto/bitcoin scam that most people and newbies simply don't notice? on: April 12, 2023, 06:47:28 AM
Nowadays, social networks are full of stories of "lucky people" who won and became rich in the blink of an eye. Someone invested a few dollars, and allegedly, after a certain period, his contributions turned into great wealth.
All this advertising is very beautifully prepared and colorfully designed. Today's AI ways of swapping faces with celebrities who pretend to be investors themselves, again, encourage naive people to believe in a miracle.
I see regularly in the news that some person gives away all his money and then takes loans and mortgages his house in another fraudulent project, and of course, he ends up with nothing.
People are uneducated and stupid; some are easily manipulated; and others are affected by the time factor (now, or you'll be late). Such people were, are, and will be; it seems that this is becoming a part of life. There will always be scammers; they will keep up with the times, but informing people about them, no matter how hard we try, will not always be heard by greedy, stupid, and gullible people.
1647  Economy / Reputation / Re: How secure are you when unknown user chats you up? on: April 11, 2023, 12:22:32 PM
This would be surprising to me, but other than that, my next action would be blacklisting the user.
Even if you want to sell or buy something, the conversation should always stay on topic. If you notice deviations from the topic, it indicates that something is wrong with the interlocutor.
Scammers catch naive people talking, but it's already 2023; it's rather strange to talk to strangers. Time ICQ has long passed.
1648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Giving out to promote Bitcoin on: April 10, 2023, 01:36:30 PM
For sure, a lot of users here will be asking for proof, but before that, I would say that I hope there are a lot of people willing to do this just to give information to others, like giving knowledge to other people, as it is very useful for them, and for sure, one of them will be successful because of bitcoin. But again, I've just got a question: where did you find them? I mean, what group is in WhatsApp? Also, do you have proof by way of a photo of the transaction or any other kind of proof that you can show because people here want to see proofs?

What evidence?  Grin Grin Grin We should be glad that the OP had the decency to lie about only 100 bucks, and not about giving each of the five people a yacht.
The most common fishing for merit. The OP is a newbie himself, I'm not sure if he himself understands correctly how to store Bitcoin. Such topics seem to be going viral, but the good news is that people who are ready to give merit have learned to distinguish lies from truth.

I recently purchased some Bitcoins butAccording to most posts and replies on this forum it seem the best way to hodl Bitcoin is to use a hardware wallet as long as you can keep it safe.
Well is the hard ware wallet better than a custodial wallet??
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Take good care of yourselves on: April 10, 2023, 01:16:57 PM
What happened to your father? He left you with tons of gold and millions and you are not friendly to him?  I just wanna make it clear, it does sound like you are not done with your sentence.  Grin

If I were in the place of the OP, I would send you in the ass, because you are ironic not only with a smile but also with a speech, over the grief of people. But your nickname speaks for itself, no wonder.

Thanks for the thought, today we will all be more aware of what to do after your words.... lol

What is the OP doing wrong? Why so much cynicism?

OP, I'm on your side, you're right about a lot of things. Our parents live for the sake of their children, constantly saving for themselves. By old age, having accumulated some capital, some become victims of ingratitude. Not all children understand that everything they give to their parents will have to receive as a boomerang in old age. Some simply consider themselves eternally alive.
But you are right that you should not deprive yourself of everything. You need to live, trying to please not only loved ones but also yourself. After all, if we do not love ourselves, then we will not be able to make others happy.
Waiting for a profit from Bitcoin, putting your life and time on the line, does not always end colorfully.
1650  Economy / Reputation / Re: Stop deceiving people. I will leave him a negative tag. on: April 09, 2023, 02:17:32 PM
No, I think he sold it in 2023. Or at the end of 2022.

I've sent a lot of reports to fennic's posts. His writing style is very similar to Maxre's latest posts.
1651  Economy / Reputation / Maxre Stop deceiving people. I will leave him a negative tag. on: April 09, 2023, 01:50:14 PM
I'm sick of seeing members who seem to know nothing in this forum, instead of wanting to make a good contribution, actually want to trick other members of this forum, to sympathize.

Stop fooling the other members in this forum.
Maxre
After an account under the nickname fennic commits plagiarism, and the moderators do not react to it in any way, after receiving a negative tag, he connects a second account under the nickname classicman1. With whom he successfully exchanges merits.

@YOSHIE's investigation that these two accounts are alternate.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415701.msg61049983#msg61049983

Then there is another discovery by @YOSHIE where he shows that in addition to these two accounts, there are two more previously blocked accounts.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5415850.msg61090146#msg61090146

@Nutildah now finds a post using an AI tool, and after verifying the Maxre account, you can see that it belongs to the old owner again. And also confirms his other accounts.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5448045.msg62060049#msg62060049

Obviously, this account has been bought. https://bpip.org/Profile?p=Maxre

But the owner is so stupid that he does not stop using his old social networks.

1652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if Bitcoin was founded in the olden days!! on: April 09, 2023, 10:40:00 AM
I am not sure if it is even wise to engage in discussions about topics that seem nonsensical.

To begin with, Bitcoin's existence in the past would have been impossible due to the lack of essential technologies such as the internet and computers. Without these technologies, the digital world that Bitcoin thrives in would not have existed. Secondly, the financial and economic systems of the past, which relied on physical commodities like gold and silver for currency, were vastly different from the digital world of Bitcoin.

I never said it was possible, I only gave an instance I said now imagine if it was developed centuries ago how would it have affected the future now. May be we would be more advanced now In the crypto space.

I couldn't help but reply to this thread.
Why say what would happen if? What would happen if the sun were blue and the moon green?
OP, there's a saying: "If grandma had balls, she'd be grandpa." Grin
So, what if you were more advanced in cryptocurrencies now? This is not the time to talk about what could be.
1653  Other / Meta / Re: AI-generated post discussion thread: how to identify & report on: April 09, 2023, 10:00:49 AM
I would add a moment to how quickly posts written by AI are published. Sometimes you can see quite long posts being posted in a short amount of time when the average person would not be able to write as fast.

From now on we'll just post links with no names. With this exception: if you report a post for being "AI spam" and the report gets marked as Good, then share the archived version of the post here so we can get an idea of what "AI spam" looks like according to the mods.
And yes, I have several examples of good reports where the moderators marked the reports as good.

1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has a bad reputation (we should fix it) on: April 09, 2023, 05:57:30 AM
I don't think it's important to convince people to believe in Bitcoin. For what? I once heard the thought, "People who don’t want to hear about Bitcoin now are like those who once refused to hear about the Internet."
Give them time. Bitcoin goes its own way; everyone comes when they're ready for it. There is no need to forcefully teach anyone, and even more so to agitate them to invest in Bitcoin. Let people think the way they want while you live your life using new technologies. The world is changing, and as it was with the Internet, so will it be with Bitcoin.
1655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to spend your Bitcoin on: April 09, 2023, 05:42:15 AM
Most persons purchase  most items using Bitcoin transactions I am of the opinion of hodling instead of spending pls is that a positive mindset?
If I get you correctly, you're of the opinion that you would rather spend your money in fiat than spend your BTC purchasing stuff, right? I think it's a different strokes for different folks situation in this regard. I rather spend BTC in purchasing stuff where there's such payment option than paying with fiat. This is because I've found out that it's easier paying for stuff using BTC than fiat. It's not because I don't like the idea of hodling. I don't like sticking to things that stress me when I can easily go round it without stress.

I like it. I always see the wisdom in you. To finite on one idea of accumulation for the sake of a wonderful future is the main idea on this forum.
You need to ask yourself: What are you saving for? What happens after you get everything you want? Many do not know the hard answer, and if you bring the question to an end, then in the end we understand that life tends to end.
"What then?" - this question, which can sound regular, when a new goal appears.
Sometimes people do not understand that it is better to live here and now because this "later" happens when all desires end. Bitcoin can and should be spent; it is not worth turning your life into eternal savings and turning it into an empty existence.
1656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in times of danger. on: April 09, 2023, 05:14:09 AM
OP, why present your story in a tone of regret? Wouldn't it be better for you if you couldn't find a way out of your situation? Rejoice! Bitcoin is not just for storage; you can start over and buy it a little later.
There is a good expression that says you cannot earn all the money. If your spending went on health, loved ones, or something else much more important than Bitcoin, then no one can tell you that you exchanged it in vain.
Above all, no one here should teach you what you should and should not do. This is your life and your money, and you should only listen to yourself. And frankly, you should not report it here by creating a topic about it.

1658  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I get merits on a post. on: April 08, 2023, 03:15:49 PM
OP, if you're observant after reading a number of threads, your merit fishing may be successful. There are several threads on the forum where merit is given away almost "for free", I won't give you links, but I know users who are very cunning in this matter; they literally live and guard such threads.
Examples include baking a pie, carving a pumpkin, creating drawings, discussing SBF-Ross Ulbricht, and answering quizzes, although the latter is more difficult. Grin
Another thing is if you hunt for merit, but you are not a diligent reader, and then the creator of good posts, all your merits will not be worth anything, since your desire to earn extra money (and this is exactly what you obviously want) will become a pipe dream.
Make a choice.

1660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you consider yourself as a risk taker if you buy bitcoin? on: April 08, 2023, 01:19:13 PM
You can observe desperate people who are disappointed in their investments when they are not educated in this area. In recent examples, someone lost their bitcoins from improper storage, but previously they were too hasty in buying, not understanding how to properly handle and store them. Another example is when a person expects a quick profit and regularly observes that his investments do not go uphill.
But those people who know that patience, proper storage, and an amount that is not vital for them when investing are unlikely to regret it. But with all this, of course, such people understand all the risks and are ready for them.
