If you see twitter you see that moved for airdrop
unfortunately, i haven't seen that.. but thanks for the information ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) and to answer the previous poster.. yes, it was from the premined addresses..

How did you measure your watt usage?
With an energy meter you put on the wall plug. It has a digital display and shows wattage, voltage, costs according to price for the kwh etc. Quite convenient. i'm using a wattmeter too, and mining hirocoin (compared to scypt coins like auroracoin or einsteinium) lowered my power comsumption by more than 300w.. it was around 720w - three gpus, now it's around 400w, much cooler and quieter, and around 3 times the hashrate i like this coin ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) for me, all my rigs are 4 x 290s (some x, some non x). I went from 1500w to 700w more than half! I didn't mind the electricity cost that much (lower better obviously, but still, it's pennies on the dollar compared to what I make). But damn, the reduced heat and noise, plus the added lifespan of both the cards and fans and especially PSU (PSUs fry easily at max load) And it's ASIC proof. exactly... i think this coin has a bright future

Also, if thinking about potential asic resistant pow algorithms consider x11. It drops energy use by 30 to 50 percent. Testing it out, it also makes it feel like an upgrade because hash rate can increase by 3 times. It's easier to switch to for miners because it works easily. I tried vert miner and it was like learning mining all over again. Standard settings just don't work. I am really loving the lower temps and less power usage. The heat factor is really popular with warmer temps coming to the US soon. Just something to think about.
+1. N-scrypt needs a lot of painful tweaking Here's a great reddit post about X11 and the future of GPU mining. Got it from the Hirocoin community http://www.reddit.com/r/Hirocoin/comments/215lkd/changing_landscape_for_scrypt/thanks for bringing this to my attention.. i'll look into it, but i'm already in favour of ASIC resistant algorithm (like x11) for EMC2!

Very hard to find a block the last days, the difficulty is very hard. But we have found 2 blocks the last two days on our pool at http://pool.auroracoin.fr. Hope it will continue tomorrow ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) me too hmmm. It took 69.5 hours to find the last 100 blocks. that's an average of 0.695 hours/block. are we under some sort of timewarp attack or can this be explained just by pool-hopping? Unfortunately all of these issues have been pointed out weeks ago. It is really regrettable the devs stated they would not move the hard fork to a lower block despite the indication reaching the fork would take weeks. They had been warned repeatedly the fork would not be hit before the airdrop. It's quite amusing to see a coin with such grandiose plans and yet the devs are unable to get the network to run more reliable than the dozen clone coins released every day. The coin isn't under attack. The parameters are just terrible. Not realizing this before launch was the first sign these devs have no idea what they're doing. Agreed. It will take months for them to hit block 5400 at the rate at which miners are currently solving blocks. This coin needs a hard fork now, not at 5400. let's assume, the rate of mining/diif rate changing will be like the last 300 blocks.. so, it will take at least 7 days from now, to reach the fork.. 5100 2014-03-22 21:06:46 57 1126.65445936 2892.576 10627476 48.8258 56.9861 13.7964% 4800 2014-03-15 05:12:16 2 25.05353858 2194.717 10619976 41.2221 49.3233 15.898% EDIT: i don't think that's very good for the Auracoin reputation, especially when they want to transfer coins from the premined wallets to some islanders (when they will ask for it), and when the transactions and confirmations take sooo long now.. it's also affecting the time to transfer the coins from wallet to wallet, or not? hmm, i just hope the devs know what they're doing... EDIT2: lol! the difficulty rises up again! ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) 5120 2014-03-23 15:48:38 3 75.012 1924.775 10627976 49.6013 57.7652 13.6115% 5119 2014-03-23 15:43:50 1 25 1285.589 10627951 49.5981 57.7619 13.6123%

one question to balduro and others (about hard fork and the network difficulty)
what's the difficulty going to be after the hard fork at block 5400? is it going to be reset somehow and will be slowly rising (because of KGW), or will it continue with the difficulty -+ of block 5399? i'm just asking because of the constant "locks" of the network at some blocks, and that, if the diff is going to be lets say 4000 at block 5399 and the fork happens, it will not help much to speed up the network and transactions.. in my opinion.. and yes i know, the block time is going to be half the time it is now, but still...
thanks for the answer (hope i'm not asking a question, that was already answered somewhere in this thread)

blocks are going so slow it is looking like the coin is being hammered again 114 blocks till fork 4 days till airdrop and it will take a week to hit 5200 at the rate blocks are crawling by.
March 17th: A hard fork has been implemented. Rules on block timestamps altered Forks at block 5400 Gravity well added Block time halved, reward halved, halving time doubled

Forks at block 5400 Gravity well added Block time halved, reward halved, halving time doubled Why not just move on to another coin which already has these from the start? Or more importantly...there is this guy: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=504103.0Looks like he is going to be bombing the living shit out of the Auroracoin blockchain at 5400. Anyone's AUR might just go POOF after 5400. ..or maybe not? http://forum.auroracoin.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=247EDIT: btw. why post the same question here, when you've got answers from the coin creator and others, on the auroracoin forum?

OP is missing something. Auroracoin is trading on Atomic-Trade exchange also.
It's the only one I know that has AUR/USD trading besides AUR/BTC. Get some of those miners over there to make $ and not just BTC.
pls PM it to balduro, he will add it to the original post

You get paid if they find a block. No block - no money. ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) can you see my pic?he stolen some blocks from 4551-4592. No he didn't find the blocks. You wish the pool find all the blocks ![Cool](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cool.gif) oh no,i undersand that, this pool cant find all of them ,but can you believe it cant find any block from 4551 to 4592 for 6 hours? its hashrates is 5G vs 22G net hashrates? nobody can just steal a block.. i'm sure they've been found by other pools.. i'm minig with easy-mine almost from start and i haven't noticed anything wrong going on there, so just relax, they'll pay you when the pool finds a block..

Ok, I don't get it.. if price is tanking why are more and more miners focusing on Aurora now? i really don't know mate.. it's interesting, isn't it? ongoing manipulation of market/price of Aur comes to mind.. but that's just my guess
