1661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 25, 2023, 10:19:12 PM

I just googled the return percentage of online casinos and saw different percentages that doesn't seem real. A slot machine can be written to pay out 98%, but its programmed to pay 90% and it's publicized that way to attract more people to play using that slot. Though one slot could be paying out that amount in the casino, yet my point is that no casino offers 100 percent payout that means if a slot pays out 94 percent for every 100 dollar bill spent on that machine the player losses 6$ to the casino. That is if you play longer times you'll lose, and we can almost never stay atop of the slot machines after long period of plays, unless you win a jackpot. Even if you win a huge amount, you can lose. They are numerous stories of people who won the jackpot and ended up spending the whole money back on the casino within a short period, 1 or 2 years, they lost the jackpot.
Jackpots are taken into account by casinos to calculate their house edge from a game of course. And they don't want to have games with negative house edge except for promotions during short periods of time. So even when you win a jackpot on a game you are not likely to make profits if you play it since very long time unfortunately. It only happens when the jackpot is worth millions times your average stake but it's quite unusual, jackpots are worth 10 000x max in general.

Limiting the slot game to use for completing the wager is a very sucks rule even though it has fewer wagering requirements since some slot games have a very low RTP and low hit ratio which will burn so much money in able to win. I experience participating in a bonus like this and I didn't do it again because it's very painful to play a slot game that you didn't like while you are already losing a significant percentage of your bankroll even though you are not yet close to completing the wager. Deposit bonus that is free to wager on any game is the best bonus even with slightly high wager volume since some games like Blackjack or Play'n Go slot is very useful to farm wager with minimal risk of losing huge amount.
Why do you think Play'n Go slots are more useful than other to reach wagering requirements with smaller risks to get big losses? AFAIK their RTP are not very high. Between 96 and 97% for their most famous ones. That's a rather common RTP among slot providers, so I'm not sure they are more interesting than others for that purpose.

Violent rebond depuis quelques jours.

It'd be interesting to see what the difference will end up being taking max time/weight multiplier so I'll try this soon. I see I get a Premium boost in 7 days and my Reward Points are almost ready for conversion. Is there a way to get alert for new bet offers? Or is there a particular time they get released? I'll test out even bets on all outcomes (1x2) and see what kind of odds they end up getting at the end.

@Saint-loup I don't really see all the extras (freespins freerolls) as additional to the betting though -- I'm only talking about the betting option (I do all the others casually too haha).
I'm not sure this experiment will help you to conclude anything, because real odds change over time as you know. And when you bet at a normal bookmaker using fixed odds, you are paid with odds at the date you've bet while here you will be paid with the odds of the last day, that is to say 10 days, or even more, after your bet. If you compare with odds offered by bookmakers 10 days before the event you will necessarily get different odds than the final odds given by Freebitcoin because many things happen in 10days. And if you compare final odds from Freebitcoin with final odds from bookmakers while you've placed your bet 10 days earlier you're not comparing the odds of the same bet, because 10 days before the bet was different with different odds at bookmakers and they wouldn't allow you to bet at those odds. Actually, I don't think it's relevant to try to compare parimutuel odds and fixed ones, that's just 2 different betting systems, working differently.

We had a chat in telegram and I confirm that I've accepted this loan request and sent 220usdt to above address.
Txid: 0x60dccb54d0071e03ca7ca684dd525983b0c172702071aa2abad86ed3573a6ed5

Please repay 0.017 BTC on or before 48hrs to:

bc1qqsgsm8ahc2v5epc6al5vvstrmsj7yk0vkpa2k3
A long time after I saw that a newbie received such a loan without collateral. I will be glad if you get your money back. A few years ago I gave one person about 5$ who has a negative trust but had a lot of erc tokens and s/he defaulted the loan. Wish you will get your money back at your desired time. But it is highly risky. Have good luck both of you. I will follow this link.
BTC price is currently around $22 900. So 0.017 btc is worth $390. 390 / 220 = 1.77
At the current prices that's a @1.77 bet of $220. If Edwardard thinks there are more chances than 1 / 1.77 = 56% to be paid, ie a little bit more than 1/2 chances, that could be a rather good opportunity. We'll see that in 2 days. Personally I'm little bit surprised that a VIP diamond 3 needs a loan for a such small amount. Anyway good luck to tem.

Gambling in Japan is not black and white. In fact, gambling is considered a criminal offence and is generally banned across the country.

Those that are found gambling can face large fines and even serve jail time.

However, there are exceptions to this rule. Betting on horse racing and the lottery are two forms of gambling that are accepted in Japan.

To me, this seems hypocritical. You claim that gambling is illegal, but you may bet on horse racing, Pachinko, bicycle racing, boat racing, and Mahjong, which baffles me. I do not seem to understand. Why is that so? You claim it is unlawful, yet wagering on games that are overseen by the government is not unlawful. Is this not hypocritical? What does the government fear?

https://gamblingnewsmagazine.com/gambling-in-japan/
I don't know why but many people love to gamble in Asia, it seems to be part of their culture, maybe because religions are not the same as the in the rest of the world which is mostly christian and muslim, and part of their natural personality. But unfortunately gambling can lead to disaster for families. AFAIK Japan is facing hard difficulties with its families because people are getting older and don't make enough children, that's why I understand they want to monitor closely their families and take care of them.

Every pachinko parlor has its own machines set out how it likes, but most of them are conformed to the industry standard. Apparently, this standard is programmed to give roku wari gaeshi, ie a 60% return rate.

Now, in Las Vegas, most of the slot machines have more than a 90% return rate, so by comparing the two, you can see how your odds of winning are much worse playing pachinko.
The RTP of their legal games is just crazy : 60% it would be called a scam or a rigged game in most of countries.
1670  Economy / Gambling / Re: How best to report vulnerabilities? on: January 22, 2023, 09:50:20 PM
So I discovered a bug affecting a mode of play at OwlGames casinos that results in certain games rewarding more money than they should.  I tried to report it to OwlGames but was told that they have no bug bounty program and to "enjoy the bug" (not kidding).  (of course their docs say that any "exploit" can result in not being paid out, but it's not an exploit if it's simply how things run under the given conditions - not that that would stop them from screwing someone over I'm sure)

Their poor attitude certainly doesn't do much to make me want to help them out anymore although that was my intent.

But since it is only certain games, from 1 provider, should I try to contact that provider instead?  It's possible I imagine that it's not just OwlGames that might possibly lose money to the issue, though I really don't know.

I guess since these are casinos, losing a couple hundred to a few players every few days that would otherwise not have won anything maybe is just a drop in the bucket.  But I found it so strange that they immediately just alerted me that they have no bounty program.  Aren't casinos supposed to be pretty protective of their money even if they have a ton of it?  Huh

Anyone else have any experiences of trying to report issues like this?  I want to be rewarded for my time verifying the issue without taking advantage of it and alerting someone about it, too, so I'm also just worried about giving the info out and having them come up with some excuse like "oh it just needed a restart it's fine now, that's not a bug."
Without saying which game it is and which provider it belongs to, could you explain what kind of loophole or bug it is precisely and how it works exactly? Are you sure you're not just encountering a long winning streak on this game. Because one time I got many wining rounds in a row, and I really though the game was bugged but unfortunately it didn't continue like that for long and I lose almost all the winnings I made at the end.

Just checking in to see the vibe here and seems like the betting options get a lot of love these days, despite the terrible odds haha (sorry!). Get that you can't find many other price predictions but sports wise, losing a lot on value.

Anyway, popped myself 5k lottery tix today on a WoF. More than I would ever get on wager. Be nice to snag something here as my sports betting is very unhealthy now!
You think odds are terrible because you don't take into account the Time Weight Multiplier and the other bonuses you can get (Reward Points, Lottery tickets, Bonus for the faucet claims, cashback if you hold FUN tokens). But if you take that into account odds can be interesting on some outcomes. Unfortunately it's hard to guess what will be the most interesting ones at the end, because people bet rather randomly and odds can reverse from day to day.

I don't bet on tennis table because the vigorish taken by the bookmakers is usually high and mostly because players are usually unknown from anyone and can easily rig the game thus. Moreover matches often take place in Russia or central asian countries sadly known for their level of corruption unfortunately. So I'm far from surprised by what you've encountered to be honest. Anyway congratulations for your Diamond III level it's the first time I meet a such high roller. BTW your host can't contact the odds provider, Betradar, to get a clear explanation of what happened?

So you don't realize this tournament or are you not sure to participate? too bad even though you can take place in the top 10 bro
Just look at one of our friends @Saint-Loup taking 7th place with a multiplier of X1175 and you should have a multiplier x1000+
I'm trying to jump to the top 10 in this tournament unfortunately I haven't got it yet  Cheesy @Saint-Loup what game do you play?
Hey @saint-loup, Congrats on your juicy multiplier win. What slot game do you use to get that massive win? I have no luck getting a high multiplier of more than x175. I'm currently exploring push gaming but I honestly don't have any idea what multiplier I can get here.
Thanks for your congratulations but it wasn't a so high multiplier because I only finished at the 10th position at the end and I didn't bet a big stake of course, I don't stay very longtime on the same slot, because it can become very boring when you win nothing and don't get big losses either. I mostly play the classic ones from No limit city, Hacksaw gaming, Play n Go and Pragmatic play. I got this one at Gigantoonz or Drtoonz IIRC.
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallet for BTC used to be the best on: January 21, 2023, 11:52:23 PM
Here are some of the benefits and drawbacks of hardware wallets and paper wallets:

Hardware Wallets:

~snip
Drawbacks:
  • Can be lost or damaged
  • Cost more than paper wallets
  • Potentially difficult for beginners

Paper Wallets:

~snip
Drawbacks:
  • Not user-friendly
  • Can be lost or damaged easily
  • Not portable
You say "Can be lost or damaged" for the hardware wallets while you say "Can be lost or damaged easily" for the paper wallets like paper wallets were more fragile than HW. I think you should try to drop your HW into your bath or your freezer, to throw it against a wall or to apply an electric cable on it and then you should try to do the same thing with a paper wallet... Paper wallets are even resistant to radioactivity fyi.
Actually when you use a HW you need to back up your seed onto a paper, because of its weakness.

It's impossible for 1.5 billion people to use on-chain Bitcoin. Currently, Bitcoin is having less than 1.5 billion transactions in a decade, and there's no on-chain block capacity for much more.
I understand what you mean, but the story of Bitcoin is only at its beginning, I hope so anyway.
1675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you calculate house edge...? on: January 21, 2023, 09:58:48 PM
...if it isn't stated by casino beforehand, and sometimes it's stated only for dice and not for other games (examples being card games, roulette, slots), in such cases how is it to be calculated?
The house edge is basically the Expected Value for the casino of a game expressed in percentage of the player bet. https://math.info/Misc/House_Edge/
So if the EV of a game for the player is -0.25$ for a $1 bet. The house edge of the game is 25%.

Usually if a provider gives the house edge of one game it also gives the house edge of its other games. So which provider is doing that precisely? Because it's a little bit surprising. Anyway on some casino, like Sportsbet, Bitcasino, Livecasino or Stake you can always find a house edge or RTP below the screen of the game. The house edge equals 100%-RTP.
It's better to check the rules inside the game to find it, but if it's not written you can use the datas given by the casino. Sportsbet, Bitcasino, Livecasino are offering a live RTP feature that allows the players to see what house edge is currently gotten by adding up the bets won and lost by other players.
1676  Economy / Gambling / Re: Livecasino.io - Livespins Game on: January 21, 2023, 09:45:30 PM
I saw this interesting Livespins game on Livecasino.io while browsing on the slot game browser. I became interested because you watch and bet with your favorite streamer in real-time. You can get the multiplier that he gets once you made a bet on him. I always love watching streamers playing and now this feature makes my dream country to ride on the game of my favorite streamer.

I don't know if this feature is available in other casinos because I just recently discovered it when I'm browsing the perfect slot that I will use on the multiplier event of livecasino. Posting it here in gambling board as awareness of the existence of this type of game. Is this game new or it's already available on other platforms a long time ago?

This is how the game looks like:

It's the first time I hear about this slot game thank you for opening a thread on it. There is always a streamer playing it 24/7 like on casino live table games or sometimes no one is there? Anyway it's a good choice from Livecasino because people playing at this casino are looking for this kind of thing IMO. It's your own screenshot btw? You took it at Livecasino? Maybe you could share a link and few more pictures, it would help other people to discover it more deeply.

Edit : I didn't see you've put the link into the picture sorry
1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper wallet for BTC used to be the best on: January 20, 2023, 09:59:13 PM
You are correct that paper wallets can be easily destroyed. Physical wallets made of steel or other durable materials can be a good alternative to paper wallets. These types of wallets, also known as "cold wallets," provide added protection against fire and water damage.

Another alternative is to use a hardware wallet. Although they can be more expensive than paper or steel wallets, but they are generally considered to be the most secure way to store cryptocurrency offline. For under $100 I'd rather go for a hardware wallet than anything else.
No they are not considered to be the most secure way to store cryptocurrency offline, you're wrong. They are considered to have the best convenience/safety ratio, but they are not air gapped, they are not open source, backdoors and unknown vulnerabilities can exist, some loopholes have been discovered in the past. And it's not easy at all to be sure that your hardware wallet is an original one, that hasn't been tampered.

Well that's just insane. What are the changes for that happening? I mean even the bet is big but something tells me it shouldn't be as difficult as to win in lottery, where the probability for jackpot is next to impossible.

And what vip level do you need to be to play bets on that slot with $500? I admit that i am not even at bronze yet, but my one bet limit with Starlight Princess is $125

He looks so happy Smiley.

You mean betting limits on slots increase with VIP rank on Stake? That's strange I wasn't aware about that. Can someone else confirm that? I don't understand what could be the purpose of putting lower limits on slots to lower ranked accounts. I just checked it and my max betting limit on Starlight Princess is $1000 ($1250 if I activate the Double winning chance feature actually). It's ten times your limits, that's not a small gap at all.
1679  Other / Meta / Re: [List]Gambling Board Spammers; Concerns, Solutions & Suggestions on: January 20, 2023, 02:02:32 PM
It has bothered me for quite some time that a reasonable discussion on the Bundesliga is no longer possible on the Gambling Board, so today I have decided to open a new self-moderated Bundesliga thread with some clear rules: [DISCUSSION] German Bundesliga Season 22/23

Let's see how the thread is adopted in the future, and whether some users really switch from the old Bundesliga spam thread to my new thread. In any case, I will do my best to moderate the discussion reasonably. I guess, we will see pretty quickly whether there are really users who are interested in discussing the Bundesliga, or whether most of them only post in order to fulfil their quota for their signature campaigns.
That's a very good initiative, I hope other people opening threads there will try to imitate you and will apply your model. It could become a norm in the gambling section in few month if people are willing to fight spam. IMO the best way to clean the gambling section is to delete shitposts ourselves and to reward quality posts. When shitposting won't pay anymore they will stop to do it.
