1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mind is unrest on: April 03, 2023, 12:14:52 PM
Mate, I see and understand your worries but however I think it is no point getting worried about the situation. Since your phone is a sophisticated phone I believe they can not access it without you opening it for them or granting them access  to do what ever they want to do with it or in your phone. There should be no cause for alarm mate but if you are still worried about it then I would advise you to buy a smaller phone which does not cost you much since you do not access your phone till evening. You can buy the smaller one with no such details to access in it while you keep your android phone at home in a safe place where only you have access to till you return home every day. With this you can have rest of mind.

I also agree with you. In addition, I would be more worried about storing the wallet, and all the data that is in the phone, from the owner himself. Does he handle his phone correctly, can't a careless surfing the Internet put different viruses on the phone that can send data to someone more versed in cryptocurrency technologies than some ordinary security guards? Usually these are people whose whole brain goes into the muscles.
1682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for a beginner, a reality in a difficult time? on: April 03, 2023, 11:56:17 AM
Since the forum is about Bitcoin and you are the OP, a newbie, it would be better to put this thread in the newbie's section.
Other than that, how much do you want to learn about Bitcoin? There are many avenues that you may be interested in, but first, it would be useful to know how to store bitcoin and how to use it. I don't think it's the time to say that it's too late to start learning Bitcoin; it is so multifaceted that any follower will find an interesting niche in it for himself.
In addition, here on the forum, there is a lot of information that you can read and eventually begin to figure out on your own, without even resorting to any courses.
1683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: @Active Members of Bitcointalk: Why have you created an Account here? on: April 03, 2023, 08:20:51 AM
I came across this forum quite by accident. It so happened that I was busy on another platform, completely removed from information about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. Suddenly, one day, my forum stopped working; I don’t know what happened to it, and I was left without my interests. There was free time, and by the will of fate, I came across this forum. I googled it and was very surprised that I did not know about it before. After reading a few threads, I signed up here because I always think that it's better to be inside than outside if you're interested in something.
And yes, the closure of my forum and the discovery of this have affected the fact that I am no longer interested in other forums.
It happens.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 02, 2023, 03:19:23 PM
Cryptocurrency illicit trading volumes hit an all-time high amid a surge in sanctioned appointments and hacker attacks, according to the latest Chainalysis reports. But it can be noted that "in general, illegal activity in cryptocurrencies remains a small share of the total—less than 1%. It is also worth bearing in mind that, despite the jump this year, the share of crime in all cryptoactivity still tends to decrease."

https://blog.chainalysis.com/reports/2023-crypto-crime-report-introduction

It can be concluded that fiat money is not only more anonymous, but also enjoys a great advantage among criminals.
Therefore, it is very wrong to consider Bitcoin in a negative light; this is the lot of those who are not ready to accept it. This is the excuse of regulators who do not stop creating fake news, in every possible way disclosing isolated cases of fraud as a typical phenomenon.
1685  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 02, 2023, 05:36:07 AM
I don't think the idea of saving money all the time is going to make you, OP, happy. Being smart with your money is not the same as saving. In addition, rich people did not become rich when they deprived themselves of something they needed. You need some free money, which you could either invest in a successful project or organize your own business from which you could make a profit and reinvest it in the business again.
I don’t think that rich people spend their money thoughtlessly; everyone has the amount that they allow themselves to spend. Otherwise, illiterate financial management will lead anyone to bankruptcy.
1686  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Supercycle? on: April 02, 2023, 05:23:52 AM
I don't think anyone here has the crystal ball to accurately predict the entire behavior of Bitcoin. But, as mentioned above, according to historical behavior, the growth of Bitcoin after the halving is assumed. In addition, all the events taking place in the world are increasingly pushing people to insure their assets by investing in Bitcoin. Therefore, all moods suggest that bitcoin investments should be successful, and literate people, when making their calculations, prefer bitcoin. You can watch how Microstrategy believes in Bitcoin, having recently bought another 64,560 BTC for $150 million.
1687  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 02, 2023, 04:43:41 AM
Lesson of the day, do not over invest on one altcoin, even if you can't find any traces of scam or untrusty team do not conclude that your money will be safe in an altcoin, the risk is too big than you could ever imagine. Diversify into more than two altcoins, this will automatically reduce your risk.

I would say, Just don't trust altcoins unless you are ready for the stress.
What did people take away from the events that happened? For those who did not lose a lot, there was a good lesson not to trust the storage of their assets on the exchanges; perhaps this was a sign from above. But those who have suffered huge losses probably need psychological help, and maybe many will not return to this sphere, and the rest will be very careful. When investing your money in anything other than Bitcoin, wherever it is stored, you need to be on your guard early, and it is not recommended for the faint of heart to take risks.
1688  Other / Meta / Re: How did you enjoyed the Captcha on: April 02, 2023, 04:21:53 AM
It looks like I missed a big party yesterday. Today, I observe a lot of open topics; on yesterday's holiday, it is clear that people liked it. I even see that the craftsmen were able to crack (although I did not read carefully) yesterday's toy. It's great that the forum is sometimes distracted from the routine and has fun; it brings a fresh wave of
For some reason, I think that yesterday will be discussed for a long time, since open topics are free to post. Grin

In the Russian segment, there is a picture that sounds like: "When I sold my family car to buy more Bitcoins"
I think, on the eve of the first of April, this picture will set you up very well for tomorrow. Grin

1690  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: March 31, 2023, 11:43:50 AM
No successful trader will ever share his strategy. All the paid channels that today multiply by dozens are designed only to attract people and receive money, supposedly for education, but as a result, they all turn out to be fraudulent.
It must be accepted that trading for most people will not be profitable, it cannot be learned at once and without investment, and the first year, even if it is successful, will not be an indicator of success, but will still be a year of study.

This user begin to spam technical board few days ago and today he commit plagiarism from multiple source.

User: JamesBorn

I also complained about several of this user's posts today as low-value posts, and I think he has no idea how to properly provide links to copied content.

In addition, there is another similar user who links to his posts in the same way. I think these are alternative accounts.

1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency purchases on: March 31, 2023, 09:41:40 AM
so what have you bought with Bitcoin?

There is an interesting topic that you will be interested to read, and it can be concluded that here on the forum, you can come up with a huge number of things bought for bitcoin. We are all far from each other, and without proof of purchase, it is possible to buy both the Yacht and the plane for bitcoins.
In addition, another user once decided to catalog all topics related to purchases for bitcoins, but as you can see, this topic has not found its development.
But you, OP, get a lot of information by reading these two threads. Smiley

1693  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk and others urge AI pause, citing 'risks to society' on: March 31, 2023, 08:51:10 AM
Just to give two examples, one is the fact that if students wants to write their school homework with an AI, then there are websites that uses detection programs to detect if an AI wrote it or not (not really that hard to figure out) and secondly, if a video is made by an AI, then there are detection software that also figures that one out as well. All in all I would guess that there is no need for any of this at all.

Pretty confident message. Show an example of such sites, the results of which could be relied upon, proving that the text was written by AI. Let's not go far; already today on the forum, a lot of people use AI tools to write posts. Have you seen a clear conclusion that moderators can confidently say and accuse a person of using AI?
Therefore, I think it's too early to say that AI behavior is easily detected. If you look at how many of the greatest minds are screaming that the development of AI needs to be suspended, then we can conclude that AI is becoming really dangerous for humanity.
1694  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: March 31, 2023, 08:33:39 AM
Any debt is a lack of freedom. Do you like to get up every morning and enjoy freedom? So any debts always land the debtor. We cannot know our future, no one is insured against anything, but having borrowed, we are confident that we can make a profit, or repay debts on time, we can make a mistake in our plans.
I don't see the need to always be indebted to someone. Therefore, I prefer to live on what I have and invest only my own money. It may not be the best strategy, but feeling like you don't owe anyone is much calmer for me.
1695  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What have you got rid of to accumulate Bitcoin on: March 30, 2023, 02:14:41 PM
So now there is a topic with a different direction? Someone on the forum buys yachts and bicycles and makes repairs with bitcoins, and someone else sells all this to buy it?
A little funny. I saw a story about selling motorcycles and my wife's jewelry, but I think that selling something from home is not quite the right thing to do.
Are people crazy about bitcoin? Why not just make regular investments without hurting yourself elsewhere? Maybe I'm very reprehensible, but I see some kind of passion in it when I hear that people take out loans, sell houses, and so on. Do not create an idol for yourself; in this case, it is greed for money, and life shows that such love always ends very badly.

If you don't want to mine bitcoin, it can be bought using a crypto currency exchange. Most people will not be able to purchase an entire BTC because of it's price, but you can buy portions of btc on these exchanges of fiat currency like U.S dollars. For example you can purchase bitcoin on coinbase by creating an account and funding it, you can funds your account using your bank account, credits card, or debit card.

I think that the OP has already started celebrating and decided to suggest ideas for the administrator.
But in the five years that I've been here, I can say that all the April Fool's jokes were unique, and we can hardly predict this.
In the meantime, we can say with the hope that tomorrow is Friday; in my country, this is the end of the working week, which is also a long-awaited day. Smiley
1698  Other / Meta / Re: How did you chosen ₿itcointalk username at the beginning of registrations? on: March 30, 2023, 12:58:25 PM
This post just for fun, I am quite curious about "how did  you chosen bitcointalk username at the beginning of registrations? And why?"

I can't believe I found this thread, which was long dead.

But it was really for fun, and I'd be glad to share how I chose my username. First, when I learned about the forum, I was confused about which username to choose, so I just left, not wanting to be in a rush. After that day, I was just going through countless usernames in my mind, but none were interesting to me. After remembering the Avengers movie name "Dr. Strange," I took interest in the name Dr. Bitcoin Strange." I can't tell why I chose that name, but I guess it was just cool to me and because I love Bitcoin as well.

Guys, let's keep this fun. Going 😜

Mr.Strange 👺

You could be accused of necroposting since you brought up a post from 2019. I was surprised when I saw this topic since several more similar ones were created after it, and it's rather strange that you were interested in this one.
But our people are indifferent, they don't care when it was created, as you can see, there are its successors. Including me. Grin

You can refer to LoyceV statistics. There you can see how many people and in what rank they write messages per hour, day, and seven days. It turns out to be very beautiful statistics; by the numbers, it is very easy to identify spammers. Basically, these are newbies who are in a hurry to increase their post activity and, as a rule, often lose them.
