1681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin help Ukraine! on: February 24, 2023, 10:29:33 PM
Small note: some pictures from derBowlers topic don't load anymore, I've replaced them with new ones.

Indeed a true tragedy developing in Ukraine, but wouldn't be more productive if we'd started to question the intentions of US government as to why they are using Ukraine to go to war with Russians?
Or you didn't know that US is actually fighting with Russia using Ukraine as a proxy?
I guess you haven't read that article from Alex Gladstein because I beleive we should not swallow the Russian propaganda that the War in Ukraine would be Ukraine's, USA's or NATO's fault. The issue is explained very well in the topic and in addition, also icopress, who's a russian speaking Ukrainian, has debunked the russian propaganda several times and made it clear that Ukraine, USA or NATO are not to blame for the crimes Putin is doing in Ukraine. Yes, the USA has a long history of waging war, like when Bush invaded Iraq but does it mean now, that because bad things happened in the past, everyone can now invade another country and blame someone else for the invasion? That would end in a total mess because every diehard leader could try to start a war and blame another country, what Putin has exactly done.

As Gleb Naumenko has explained in his topic, we should not embolden the aggressor by bringing up apologism:

Quote
But still, he [Bitcoin Core Contributor Gleb Naumenko] told me that he wanted to be very clear about something: “What happened is a blatant, illegal invasion. I’m tired of hearing how Ukraine’s freedom from Russia is a U.S. intelligence operation, and how helping Ukraine to defend itself is bad,” he said. “To my friends in America, please remember that the Russian oppression of Ukraine is a much longer story than the existence of your entire country. Even as a libertarian, you’re supposed to defend other peoples’ right to defend themselves. This understanding has been lost.”

“I know a lot of libertarians in Ukraine and Russia,” Naumenko continued, “and they ALL oppose the invasion and don’t make apologetic arguments. They think supporting Ukraine is good. The Russian libertarians even support providing Ukraine with weapons. They know what Putin is.” One can be a dogmatic libertarian, or an anarcho-capitalist, he said, but this only works if your country isn’t at risk. To paraphrase Mike Tyson, “Everyone has an ideology until they get punched in the mouth.”

The surprisingly common angle in the Bitcoin community that the war isn’t Putin’s fault is important to address. For the purposes of this essay, a short overview of Ukraine’s history will be helpful, to establish the fact that Ukraine has been in the process of statebuilding — and resisting foreign attacks, invasions and occupations — for nearly 1,000 years. This reality is encased in the country’s national anthem, which begins with the words: “Ukraine has not yet perished.”

Practically, I deleted the ": " after "*", in order to be same alignment and spacing as in the case of "**".
Nice catch, I've removed it and now it's tidied up.  Smiley

Basically, I'd say to let everyone vote the preferred mark for this explorer... That would simplify the two questions into a single one Smiley
But that would add more options to our survey.
We can do it according to your suggestion and add an option to vote for a single mark.
Our survey would look like that:

- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 7 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 8 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 9 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer 10 points?
(suggested by GazetaBitcoin)

- Removing "comments" column from our table - Yes
- Removing "comments" column from our table - No
(suggested by several members)

- Including comments in "hover format" - Yes
- Including comments in "hover format" - No
(suggested by SFR10)

I've also added 7 points if someone wants to lower the rating for whatever reason.  Cheesy
Did I got it right?
1683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Help Bitcoin help Ukraine! on: February 24, 2023, 09:51:13 PM
Indeed, it’s very true that Bitcoin can be a game changer for Ukrainians. It’s a difficult time for Ukrainians and they can really need all the help they can get. As we have also seen on the forum, where many members sent BTC to our dear icopress, Bitcoin is a great source of revenue for Ukrainians.
I’ve previously also written an article about Bitcoin as a medium for donations, why Bitcoin is very important for fast and international donations.

Let’s hope that Ukrainians will soon be able to re-build their country and Putler finally withdraws his troops. Currently, icopress is often giving his insights on what’s happening near the front.
As we know Russia also collapsed in 1917 during WW1, due to the russian revolution. It might be time for a revolution in Russia again to remove their authoritarian Putin regime. Maybe Bitcoin can help here as well because I can imagine that no one in Russia wants to be sent into a foreign country to die for such a unnecessary invasion.

The article from Alex Gladstein is a great and well-researched source, where Gleb Naumenko, the Bitcoin core contributor, is outlining important reasons for Bitcoin. And as a Bitcoin Core contributer, he knows Bitcoin very well.  Wink
Bitcoin is already very advanced in Ukraine, which will be very beneficial for the coutry because I’m sure Ukrainians will see many benefits in Bitcoin.
Some people tend to say that Bitcoin is not very useful but that article from Alex Gladstein is explaining in detail, where Bitcoin can have a great value.
Many thanks for presenting it here, dear GazetaBitcoin.  Smiley

By the way, 1miau is also waiting for an answer from you:

LOL, what a shitshow. [...]

Is Rizzrack willing to give you some Merit or would he commit Merit abuse?  Tongue
Indeed, I'm waiting for an answer as well but since Rizzrack obviously had a clown for breakfast:

Is Rizzrack willing to give you some Merit or would he commit Merit abuse?  Tongue

he has finally sent a Merit to coincollector12 (archived)  Lips sealed

Since it's currently impossible to prove if coincollector12 is an alt of Rizzrack, only he knows if it's his alt or not.
For sure: undoubtedly, there are sooo many similarities...  Lips sealed
After all, there's still a possibility: coincollector12 could prove us wrong if he would reveal his main account. Are you going to prove us wrong by posting from your main account?  Cool

And I'd appreciate it if you stop addressing me as Rizzrack's alt, without any valid proof other than your tingly spidey teenage girl sense.
Should I stop as well because I just can't ignore the coincidences. Should we list all of the previously listed coincidences again?

So after being offline since Februyary 13th, Rizzrack's alt suddenly wakes up; again, just after he posted from his main account and pretending it's just a coincidence. How sweet!
Ok, I was only going to bring up previously listed ones, not new ones...  Cheesy

However, I am sorry for your loss. But it's hard to do anything when the scammer is supported by forum staff. Officially supported by a forum official.
That's true, it's a big shame for Bitcointalk. But it's nothing new that moderators have covered up shitposters, straight out lied and now even cover up scammers...
Yes, scams are not moderated, according to the rules. Did I get anything wrong from that part? Does it mean that scams are enabled?  Cheesy Cheesy
It's a really, really big shame for Bitcointalk. Isn't it our job to expose scammers, not to encourage them?
This scam is brought to you by .....

After some struggles with BBCode (can't be else, can it?) I also updated the translated topic by including the column suggested by PrivacyG (don't worry, the emoji stayed!), as I was curious to see how it looks in Romanian as well. I know that some more changes will follow but I had to add this update anyway so I did it now. Surprisingly, it looks great and no other adjustment was needed.

What I would further recommend is to either (1) delete the "**" placed next to "Partially", as nowhere in OP is explained what "**" means or (2) place the "**" next to "Works without JS" (thus it will look like this: "Works without JS**") and replace
...
Done, I've added it below my explanation where I've linked PrivacyG's contribution.  Smiley

(Also please don't forget to change "PrivacyG" from OP with "PrivacyG" Smiley)
Done as well, dear GazetaBitcoin.  Smiley

Regarding our survey, we have agreed to collect votes for the following issues:

- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer exactly 8/10 points?
- Rating from Blockchair Bitcoin Block Explorer over 8/10 points?

- Removing "comments" column from our table - No

1686  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: ⚽Bitcointalk Bundesliga Tippspiel 2022/2023 - sponsored by Betnomi⚽ on: February 24, 2023, 12:54:58 AM

1687  Local / Anfänger und Hilfe / Re: Ist "diversifizieren" in mehrere Kryptowährungen wirklich sinnvoll? on: February 23, 2023, 02:30:40 AM

@OP, you are a disgusting idiot! It's not a fault of yahoo62278 or any other forum member that you've possibly (it's not even proven) that you've sent some BTC and felt bad after it.

And stop harassing forum members who are very generous because yahoo62278 is in a difficult situation! yahoo62278 scammed nobody but you are the one causing damage here and stirring shit for no reason!
Quit your nonsense, you won't get any positive results from your bullshit here!

I don't have anything else to add to the discussion, other than to draw some attention to RickDeckard's effort to raise money for yahoo: [Charity Auction - yahoo62278] Bitcoin Romania Card - 100 RON in BTC.

1690  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: February 22, 2023, 03:24:40 AM
1691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com ⚽️ Bundesliga Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: February 22, 2023, 03:00:53 AM
~snip
I'm really curious about Bayern - Union next weekend. Odds are favoring Bayern massively (Bayern win is at 1.32), which is favoring Bayern incredibly. Yes, Bayern is playing at home and Union is not very strong in away games and Union's draw against Schalke has been week as well but the week after, Bayern vs. Stuttgart is odds at 1.44 for a Bayern win - against Stuttgart, a team playing to stay in Bundesliga.
I's just very surprising...
didn't check that one out, but yeah, those odds are far from realistic, Stuttgart should be weaker opponent than Union at the moment
I agree here, it just seems to be weird. Maybe it's due to speculation Stuttgart vs. Bayern will happen 1 week later and after Bayern vs. PSG, that Bayern might be exhausted or will play some bench players? It wouldn't make sense as well because Bayern can't afford to slip in Bundesliga. Union and BVB are right behind Bayern...

while against Stuttgart, it is just name that keeps Stuttgart in play
Yes, Stuttgart is still a big name and some might call it Derby as well (capital of Baden Württemberg vs. capital of Bavaria) but overally, Stuttgart is performing very weak in Bundesliga currently.

maybe they know something about Union, that we don't know, and will become known after EL match with Ajax?
Sure, probably some key Union player will be missing but I don't know about any...
I only know about Bayern, where Upamecano will be missing vs. Union due to his red card from last weekend...  Cheesy Cheesy
1692  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: List of useful Bitcoin block explorers on: February 22, 2023, 02:45:52 AM
I also agree that features like this tend to go unnoticed by most users... Since it'd only benefit desktop users and all of those comments are subjective, then IMO it'd be better to save some space by removing that section.
Ok, I'll start formatting next weekend and post an update here when it's done.  Smiley

- Come to think of it, since the usefulness column shows subjective ratings, perhaps something similar should also happen to them. What do you think?
Since it's not taking too much space, I would leave it there but we can include it in the survey as well and ask if Bitcointalk members would like to have it removed.

I've not checked it but hovering might be not possible for mobile devices?

Indeed, it's not working for mobile phones, still I think that if you use this trick at least for the dates (and also make the header more condensed/multiline) you can at least from there squeeze more space. And the comments also.. they're useful, but not crucial, hence one can live without them on mobile.
I can add it in the survey as well but after removing the comments, we would have enough space to leave it there.

You are right, maybe we can make a public survey.  Smiley [...]
But, would it be legitimate to change it? If we change it, everyone would come up and try to change ratings?  Cheesy
In my opinion, we need a public survey to be legitimate.

Well, if you want so much to be politically correct, who am I to stop you? Smiley Seriously now, I think it's a good idea. Let's make a poll about it.
Noted, dear GazetaBitcoin.  Smiley
I'll try to arrange a survey next weekend.  Smiley

Picture this: we all know that Usain Bolt is fastest man alive, right? Now let's suppose he did not run 100m in 9.58" but in 15". And nobody else would run this distance faster than him. Therefore we would still consider him fastest man alive, right? No matter that he runs 100m in 15" and we actually know that it's possible to do it in 9.58". Does that make sense? Smiley
That's true but who knows if there won't be a better sprinter in 10 / 20 / 30 years?  Wink
And in case we'd get a better sprinter, we need some numbers to give out "above" our current top number.
Maybe we can make it like for earthquakes? 1.00 point increase is 10x increase?

Now imagine this analogy regarding Blockchair.
Usain Bolt is retired, isn't he?  Cheesy
Blockchair is not retired yet.  Smiley

And I don't beleive, that PrivacyG is a chicken. If so, it would be called ChickenG. And it would be neutral (it).

ChickenG
Wink

(By the way, in Romanian chicken is a substantive having also feminine gender  Grin)
Well, here we go, dear GazetaBitcoin.  Wink
It seems to be a female chicken.

Nominating PrivacyG at Miss BitcoinTalk category during BCA 2023 would be a legitimate consideration, dear GazetaBitcoin.

Then we must coerce icopress somehow to not cancel this category.
Noted, I can try to convince him, too.

Deleting the emoji??!!  Huh Huh Huh Huh
Are you dense?
We don't delete the emoji, dear GazetaBitcoin!  Wink

Pardon my blasphemy  Cheesy Emoji must stay!
// blushing  Smiley Smiley

Yes, it helps, should be properly formatted now?
Plz confirm, Sirs!

It seems the 1% trim worked just fine. I noticed the "as" from BitcoinWhosWho, which was not shown earlier, is shown now, as you placed it on the second row. Besides, the "t" from "edit", which was also not shown, appears well now.
We'll re-arrange it anyways next weekend, so it should be solved by then.  Smiley

1miau, you are tables master! I bow down! Can we have this update implemented in OP now? (I took the screenshot from post #141.)
// blushing  Smiley Smiley (once again)
I've copied it into my OP.  Smiley

I merited your proposal, as this feature of BBcode seems very exotic to me, as I only saw it used very rarely. I like it! However, it comes together with the lack of functionality on mobiles.
I'll include it in our survey as well.  Smiley
1693  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: February 22, 2023, 02:23:02 AM
Do you honestly think NATO continually expanding eastwards would have no cost on patriotic Russians?
Maybe NATO expanding eastwards would be less of a problem if the Soviet Union would have stopped being so aggressive and opressive against their neighbors?
After what Russia is doing right now, joining NATO has been a good decision for the Baltics states / Poland, hasn't it?
Now, Finland and Sweden want to join as well and these countries have been neutral the whole time...

Mabye, the problem is....Russia being so agressive?  Wink

Putler got an award
1694  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: February 22, 2023, 02:06:57 AM
Astonishing Germany is letting the whole Nordstream sabotage by terrorists Biden/Nuland/Blinken slide. I guess Germany is a slave to the USA as well now.
I'm always surprised how these unfounded hot takes are coming from Putler apologists, who aren't from Europe and don't know anything about Germany.  Cheesy Cheesy
As someone from Germany, I can tell you that your claims are 100% laughable and wrong, dear bunny.  Cheesy

Let's collect some reasons who could have blown up the pipeline (hint: Russia has blown up the pipeline):

--- load of waffle ----

Let me know which stories are plausible in your opinion.  Smiley

1) You make assumptions (wrongly by the way) where someone is from based on their post. That is frankly astonishingly arrogant but above all absurd.
Yes, I like people talking about German history / politics but all their knowledge comes from Kremlin propaganda channels and they are calling themselves "free thinkers" while their viewpoints are often 1:1 from Russian state TV. LOL
We have some Putin apologists sitting in the German parliament as well who are trying to lecture Ukrainians about Ukrainian history.  Roll Eyes
They are such clowns.  Cheesy Cheesy

2) My claims are 100% wrong? I claimed nothing, I simply referred to Seymour Hersh, a journalist, who in his material and interviews is stating pretty much everything I have. Instead of debunking his claims you quickly side with the media who have done nothing but nearly destroyed society over the last few decades with their misinformation and scaremongering.
You debunked nothing at all and Hersh's "sources" are a complete joke. Sorry but if he wants to be taken seriously, he needs far more than his dubious "sources".
But due to Putin's loyal serfs, Hersh's dubious "sources" don't matter at all. Logical arguments doesn't matter at all because for Putin's loyal serfs, Putin can even invade another country (Ukraine) and can completely get away with it.
Even more: Putin's loyal serfs are actively defending Putin's invasion. Honestly, that's nuts!  Roll Eyes

3) You gave a "hint" about who you think is behind the sabotage BEFORE listing the evidence. Sounds like your mind has been made up. Why list all that "evidence". No one gives a fuck. Non of it on first glance seems rational regardless.
Well, we can read what's written again and again by BAdecker, Branko and his friends. They need some brain jogging, so I wanted to do them a favor and add a hint. Similar to a tl;dr.

4) Any attack on the west in your eyes will be seen as someone being a "putler" apologist. This is that typical George W. Bush horseshit of "you are with us or against us". Look at where that brought the west and the lies that were told to invade Iraq. Are we any better than that Putin shithead? I doubt it very much. The USA already proved it will go to extreme lengths, despite the NATO alliance or any agreements. And indeed unfortunately the UK is often right behind them. The fact you don't even consider this FACT when it comes to Nordstream is crazy.
As far as I know, Germany didn't participate in Bush's war in Iraq and our foreign minister back then didn't believe Bush's claims about WMD in Iraq. So, what now?

How someone with that ignorant and arrogant mindset can even end up on a Bitcoin forum, unless it is only for trolling - surely in your view the western governments are perfect and existing monetary systems are fantastic OR you are a "Putler" apologist right? - is the mind-boggling thing....
You might be surprised but shouldn't Bitcoiners be against war in general? Call out lies and injustice and do their own due diligence by looking at the people in Ukraine (and in Russia which are opressed by Putins and used as cannon fodder), then making conclusions.
In my opinion, a Bitcoiner shouldn't engage in whataboutism as well, when Putler invades a sovereign country.
Alex Gladstein, a human rights activist has written a great essay about it, where also Ukrainian Bitcoin Core Contributor Gleb Naumenko provided a contribution:

This reality is encased in the country’s national anthem, which begins with the words: “Ukraine has not yet perished.”
https://bitcoinmagazine.com/culture/currency-of-last-resort

Maybe you are very far away from the conflict and I can understand it, that you aren't really affected by it but the war Putler started (and if he doesn't get stopped, he'll continue), is currently the biggest invasion happening since Hitler did it last time.
The playbook is very similar: Pushing the lie, that some native speakers are opressed in another country; claim that the territory is historically part of your country; invade that country. Insist that you are the good one, blame others. In a speech, Hitler blamed England to start WWII... https://i.redd.it/c38ywv60w5ja1.jpg ("never forget that England forced this war upon us").  Roll Eyes

Who stood to gain from the Nordstream pipeline sabotage the most?
Yes, who stood to gain from the Nordstream pipeline sabotage the most? (only 3 out of 4 pipelines were blown up)

Quote
Ukraine
Yeah, sure, it has been Ukraine!
Ukraine doesn't has access to the Baltic Sea, because it doesn't share a border (plz do at least some research about geographics), so Ukraine must have sent Klitschko on the back of a dolphin, a bit dynamite on his back and he started his mission in Odessa, where he swam through the Black Sea, past Istanbul, through the Mediterranean Sea, past Gibraltar along the coast of Portugal, Spain and France, through the English channel and his dolphin was re-charged in Amsterdam, that he finally swam past Denmark to dive several 100m to place his dynamite and blow up the pipeline by placing the dynamite all by his bare hands.
Ukraine doesn't has any capabilities to do this and it would be plain stupid to risk their military aid if their try to blow up NS is detected and Russia could be the big propaganda winner, so yes, it must have been Ukraine!

USA / UK / Poland
For sure, USA / UK / Poland are behind it! It would make totally sense for them to blow up a useless pipeline because Germany didn't purchase any gas from Russia anymore at the time, when the pipeline was blown up.
It would make totally sense for USA / UK / Poland to do this after Putin messed it up himself, when he showed how unrealiable he has been as a partner when he lied to everyone that he wouldn't invade Ukraine.
It would make totally sense for USA / UK / Poland to do this because Germany planned anyways to stop gas purchases from Russia due to Putin's continued war.
It would make totally sense for USA / UK / Poland to blow up 2 pipelines from Nordstream 1 and 1 pipeline from Nordstream 2, while 1 pipeline of Nordstream 2 remains intact, so that russian gas delieveries would still be possible.
The USA / UK / Poland are completely ready to do such a move to gain exactly nothing from blowing up that pipeline, while risking their entire trust in NATO. No gain at all, but enormous risk,
therefore, it must have been USA / UK / Poland!

Germany
Germany is behind it! Who else could it be? It's Germany because Germany is always at fault (because Nazis).

In a secret meeting, Olaf Scholz, chancellor of Germany, discussed together with Robert Habeck (economy) and Christian Lindner (a liberal).
Very concerned, Olaf Scholz asked for solutions why Germany has gotten so dependant on russian Gas. He asked: "Dear Gentlemen, we have a big issue right now. There are 10 Russia apologists demonstrating in Saxonia to open Nordstream 2. It's a very big issue. They aren't relevant at all and nobody listens to them anyways but we need to act. How can we stop it?"
Christian Lindner, the liberal, suggested: "we can nuke the Russia apologists in Saxonia." But Robert Habeck quickly objected: "that would be bad for our economy." He suggested instead: "Let's blow up Nordstream 1 and 2, we wouldn't solve any problems because we won't purchase any gas from Russia anyways and we are safe already that we have enough Gas for the upcoming winter, but we should blow up Nordstream 1 and 2."
Olaf Scholz objected: "that's a good idea but you need to consider that we are Germany and my party likes Putin somehow, it was Gerhard Schröder who got us dependant on russian gas and Schröder is on Rosneft supervisory board. We can't let him down. We should blow up 2 pipelines from Nordstream 1 and 1 pipeline from Nordstream 2, that Putin can still blackmail us to open it again and that Putin gets his prestige project, which he really cares about."
The other two: "that's not a good idea because it would not solve any of our issues. It wouldn't shut down the Putin apologist protests in Saxonia and questions about opening Nordstream 2!"
Olaf Scholz replied: "Do you have better ideas?"
The other two: "unfortunately not, but we won't gain anything from your strategy"
Olaf Scholz: "What did you say, I didn't hear you? Well, let's turn my suggestion into reality, dear Gentleman!"...
And they proceeded to blow up 2 pipelines from Nordstream 1 and 1 pipeline from Nordstream 2...

Sure, Germany must be behind it!

Russia
Impossible, Russia never does bad things! And Russia never lies!
Russia might have made a big mistake to start the war special military operation (because it wasn't succesful, which really angered Russia's trolls), and which Russia didn't want to start and it was only a coincidende, why Russia was amassing troops on the Ukrainian border for more than 2 months. So, it was completely unavoidable that these troops should also be used in the region (as cannon fodder).
However, since Russia invaded Ukraine performed a special military operation, which failed was regrouped because Ukrainians didn't want to get shot and enslaved liberated, the master strategist Putin has messed up completely and exposed Russia as what it is: a corrupt regional power.
The nation of Germany, previously highly dependend on russian Gas, got completely rid of russian gas due to Putin's war and Putin's prestige project Nordstream 2 was set to be a big fail once again.
What should Putin do with a useless pipeline? He was planning to proceed in his useless war, so he already know that Germany wouldn't purchase any russian gas as long as he and his cronies will stay in power.
Outin run out of options and by blowing up NS1 while leaving one pipeline of NS2 intact, he could try to blackmail Germany in case of a cold winter to finally open Nordstream 2 (from which one pipeline was left intact, surprisingly) and potentially send gas to Germany, which would be a huge propaganda victory for him in Russia.

In addition, maybe he wanted to divide the pro-ukrainian alliance against his war by sowing discord and relying on his conspiracy war criminal supporting trolls such like BAdecker or Branko to spread bullshit claims that Ukraine / USA / UK / Poland / Germany would be behind it. Because Putin knows how reliable his trolls are because his trolls are never blaming Russia (as we know from some idiots on Bitcointalk, right).  Wink
In addition, maybe Putin just wanted to make sure that no Oligarch could decide to remove Putin and his cronies because a new government could stop the war in Ukraine + use Nordstream again for gas? (which would threaten Putin and make a removal of Putin more likely).

These are just coincidences and Russia has, with a huge margin, far the biggest potential to gain from their pipeline being blown up, which got useless anyways due to Russia's war against Ukraine.
So let's be fair, Russia might be lying all day but it's not Russia blowing up their useless pipeline.

Gas pipeline sabotage, net zero goals, hundreds of windfarms and solar farms popped up out of the ground across Europe BUT Shell, BP and almost any single large energy reseller/middleman still made record profits.
Sure, nothing fishy.... AT ALL.
Congratulations, you've found out that companies are greedy!  Tongue

Cheesy

So lately Ordinals becoming a hot topic. I don't understand how it works. Can someone please explain like if I am five?

I believe to get a good understanding of the topic, you can read their website, it's explained very well and to understand the general meaning, we also don't need to be a coder: https://docs.ordinals.com/introduction.html
The most important parts are probably:
Overview Ordinal theory: https://docs.ordinals.com/overview.html
Digital artefacts: https://docs.ordinals.com/digital-artifacts.html
Inscriptions: https://docs.ordinals.com/inscriptions.html

It's a bit text to read but their summary is very decent.

There's also an FAQ for common questions: https://docs.ordinals.com/faq.html
Probably, the FAQ is already answering most of your questions.  Smiley

Bitcointalk has also a technical discussion topic about it: NFTs in the Bitcoin blockchain - Ordinal Theory

Smiley
1698  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: AI/ChatGPT verboten in BTC Signatur Kampagnen on: February 21, 2023, 12:52:07 AM

1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com ⚽️ Bundesliga Football Pool Discussion Thread 2022/2023 on: February 21, 2023, 12:22:25 AM
I was thinking to put M'Gladbach to win, but Bayern didn't win in last five their matches, and M'Gladach had two wins and a draw in last three Bundesliga matches at home with Bayern, so thought - it has to stop at some point, obviously not on past Sunday
Well, Gladbach has been playing very poorly in their recent games, let alone their big loss against Hertha BSC Berlin from last week, when Gladbach lost 1-4 in Berlin. Hertha BSC Berlin is currently one of the weakest teams in the league, except Schalke (and maybe Hoffenheim, too).
So, a Gladbach win seemed to be very unlikely.
And it destroyed my free bets as well.  Cry

@GazetaBitcoin and @1miau:
I do know both of you probably hate dealing with complicated codes, so I tried to simplify the table in a manner that it could show everything without being too wide in smaller resolutions...

  • We can create a hover box by using the abbreviation tag in order to combine the "Usefulness and Comments" columns.
    - Comments will appear whenever they hover their mouse pointer over each of the ratings.
That's a great solution and I could try to find some time next weekend to implement it but in my opinion, many readers won't notice such a hovering feature, even if we add a bold explanation.
I don't know as well if it's an option for the mobile version. I've not checked it but hovering might be not possible for mobile devices?

I can implement it as it's a really clean solution and it would help a lot to gain more space buy maybe it's already enough to remove the comment section entirely as it's pretty meaningless sometimes and I can just link the comments from the members who initially presented each explorer?
Opinions?

If there's support for your suggestion, I would implement it, of course.  Smiley
