1681  Economy / Economics / Re: SPENDING MORE THAN YOU EARN on: April 21, 2023, 11:27:52 PM
Controlling one's fund would be the best thing to do. This includes putting on a budget and accurately disseminate the money to your needs. On my end, in order to avoid having bigger expenses than my income, I was alloting a budget for the whole month; bills, for grocery, and other needs. I am also putting an emergency fund for the whole month and if it happened to not be used, it will just be moved for the next one. Then the rest of the money will be put into savings. Ofcourse there will be times things won't be consistent but atleast you will have that regulated fund which would allow you to track your expenses and be able to seek for improvement if ever there are things to change.
1682  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will never own a whole Bitcoin and that's okay on: April 21, 2023, 10:58:08 PM
We are not required to do so. Owning an amount should be with initiative. Profit potential is there indeed but always be mindful of the risk. The bigger the amount, the larger the risk. And as cliché as it may sound, invest only an amount you can afford losing. Some people might just be confused; owning one bitcoin is the same as owning half of it. It just depends on your financial capabilities and risk tolerance. Any amount could result to profit. Just continue with what you are doing, instead you should be thankful of yourself because you are making a move for a better future-, engagement with investments and assets, which is in the first place already a good trait. Being open to investment is not all people could do, therefore you are in the right path.

Aren't they mostly the same? Granted I never really took the time to actually compare dice games from casinos I've played before, but nothing really stuck out as unique or anything like that.

It was however rather confusing to play it the first time I tried it. Freebitco.in had it back then and was where I first tried it, had a bunch of parameters that for a first timer was rather overwhelming.
Well, yes. But upon reading other's replies in this topic, it differs in bonuses, graphics, free spins, and just biases 'coz they are currently playing on that site.  Actually no one would really answer this accurately and Biases won't be avoided. I'd just suggest engage with a trusted gambling site 'coz dice game would be dice game, except for the UI or graphic view (differs on each site), would be always the same. Other gambling sites would offer free spins especially the new ones in this industry and that is because they are making an introduction. Would it be safe to engage with the new ones? Worth of a try just minimize the amount you would be using. And it is also okay to make use of those free rolls/spins.
1684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How I found my financial success in Bitcoin 1 year on: April 21, 2023, 02:57:37 PM
Just depends on how you would define or give meaning to the qord success. On my end, I do think that there will always be room for improvement; a continuous process of learning. Profit won't determine weather you are successful in this industry or not, but rather your viewpoint of how would this technology be used in the future.
I am buying more bitcoin
Now even though I am at profit and have gained financial knowledge through the help of the bitcointalk forum, I will still buy more bitcoin even at the current price because of my personal belief in bitcoin's ability to cash up with the current market situation to always place me at less risk.
You have gained financial knowledge from this forum, and it is regularly encouraged to keep buying bitcoins consistently so far you can afford to buy without really minding if the prices are up or down, so I am not surprised that that is the action you are taking. Also what is making you not to care much also is because you have experienced success already and you are personally convinced by your success so far that you will be more successful with just some little more effort and investment.
The idea of continuously buying Bitcoin is more likely because of the fact that the market value have increased that much with regards to its last All time high. People are just more confident of how high will its value reach, which also means money ofcourse.
1685  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Live casino over provably fair games. on: April 21, 2023, 02:39:18 PM
If you're having reservations about the validity of your gambling, then I suggest you look for a different casino because you'd never stop attributing your losses over the suspicion that they're trying to screw you up, regardless of how reputable the casino you're playing in is. This goes for both live and online gambling. I get why you're having doubts because well, it's a part of the process. Everyone at some point in their gambling journey will be skeptical of the casino's integrity, especially if you've lost substantial amounts of money over games that you have no business losing to.

So yeah, let's cut the middle man and save yourself the trouble, you can't live your gambling life doubting your casino daily. Make the switch.
The fact that we will never know whether a platform is taking advantage of players through manipulation, we are free to move from one another especially if we are feeling uncomfortable. It should not be players to seek or follow gambling platforms; there are numerous to choose from. As mentioned by OP, he noticed that he is not winning on a particular instance and he won't be in such stand if consistency is present. Some would say luck and such which are possible as well but to just make the discussion simple and less energy consuming, just move if you percieve bad things happening on your money or bets.

1687  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: April 20, 2023, 07:33:23 PM
As long as there would be risk and as long you would lose or gain something in return, that would be gambling. What makes gambling ,"gambling" is the lsck of assurance with the outcome either you lose or win. To some people, gambling would be only categorized once there's money involved but technically, money is just the usual mode of payment and not the bottomline, it is rather the thing that would be an exchange of your bet. It could be in form of favor, other object and such as long as there would be a player to lose something while the other one is gaining or celebrating. In platforms ofcourse currencies would take place as long ws risk is there, with profit in return.
1688  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is going down. on: April 20, 2023, 05:55:46 PM
Not only bitcoin but majority of the cryptos in the market
My take on this is correction. If we would recall, the market price of cryptos continuously increased in a consistent manner which makes it less surprising to know that correction would occur given that there is a long overbought on a particular price area. Right now, we won't know how low will the price fall so for now, waiting for things to calm down or stabilize would be the best thing to do than to go either against or with the flow of the market price. Waiting for its bottom would be a hard thing to do so atleast manage the expectations; things won't be certain. Price of Bitcoin could fall 'til 28k or even 24k if market would allow. So for now, wait.
1689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 20, 2023, 03:36:36 PM
No consistency on the usual; losing is more certain. This would only be possible or even bigger if you are that lucky. Even with games which requires analytical skills, no matter how good you are, luck would be a bottomline. There will be times losing would be more often. If this is possible many peopls should have been rich right now. There are really people who made huge profit from gambling but think or see it on a brighter perspective; more people suffered from losses. Given that consistency is lacking we cannot and should not expect a consistent flow of money into your account. Also, gambling is not a reliable source of income and that should be an enough reason to not be too dependent into it.
1690  Economy / Gambling / Re: List of crypto casinos with high wagering requirements on: April 19, 2023, 11:46:09 PM
Thank you for sharing this. This is a big help for new players but did you notice only few or rare of the reptuable gambling site have restriction like this one? was it because the unknown gambling sites are more cautious and wanted to follow the rules or requirements given by their license provider? I think that kind of requirements for the deposit is not good.
What I know is that; registered or licensed gambling site has higher wagering requirement not only because of the rules but also to make up with the amount they are paying for their license. Unfortunately, small gamblers won't be able to always comply with it given that not all has the financial capacity which is also the reason why they tend to engage with new gambling sites which offers bonuses and rewards, wherein fraudalent platforms take advantage of. Quite of a domino effect right? But that's just how things work not only in this industry but also with other platforms. Some platforms are even requiring 10% if I remember it correctly, for a wagering requirement, I forgot what platform was that as discussed to other topic in this forum. Anyhow, they can set their own rules in the first place and for sure they have an exchange to it such as the service and security they provide.
1691  Economy / Gambling / Re: This guy gave a whole prototype of "how live roulette scam us" on: April 19, 2023, 11:19:17 PM
Such thing is possible, remember movies wherein cheating is in form of a switch in roulettes? Quite silly but it is wlso possible. But what can we do? Move to other platforms or change the game you are playing or simply take a pause. Nit because a platform scams or fools you in roulette, it would already mean that other platforms as well would do so; roulette have not exist for years in this industry for nothing. There are people who enjoys playing it and that is I think an enough reason to not generalize. It is not on the game but on the platforms you are playing at. We just cannot order people to avoid a game just because of such possibility.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 19, 2023, 05:14:54 PM
As long as risks are well managed, there's nothing to fear. For sure there will be corrections such as what happened earlier this day because of the overbough on market prices. If we qould observe the chart, perhaps Bitcoin, its market price continuously increased from $15k up to  $31k which somehow makes it not surprising. And ofcourse altcoins are also pulled by the correction. If things won't be managed you'd end up in huge loss before the bitcoin halving. As much as possible, beware of news, always check the charts to avoid being shocked whenever the market prices are falling which could affect your emotion and actions. Remain calm as well and this would only be achieved if you will invest an amount under your tolerance of losing.
1693  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 19, 2023, 04:55:10 PM
~snip
If you are ready to take responsibility for asking him to invest in bitcoin and your conscience doesn't bother you if something goes wrong, then go ahead - advise him to buy. I understand that this is your friend and you want to do good to him, but sometimes in life it is difficult to distinguish good from evil and vice versa (never know what the outcome of any action will be). Personally, it would be extremely unpleasant for me to let a friend down and it would be difficult for me to take on the decision of his investment. Therefore, in this situation, I see the solution as follows: tell about all the opportunities and risks when investing in btc, but your friend, the decision must be made by himself. Best of all, after a few days of reflection, that reduce the impact of emotions.

Isn't it too much, 40%? BTC is still considered to be risky assets.
Not all people are aware that they would be holding the burden if ever the investment they are encouraging their friends to engage into would turn into huge loss. They would invest because they know you and not because they know what they are doing so never be surprised if one day, they would blame you if ever things would go the other way than expected. Much better if you will just let them find the initiative to do so than to interfere and to be biased. Nothing is certain in this industry and risk will always be there so set aside the confidence. Indeed this technology is profitable but that is only if the investor knows how to manage the risk in any price action.
1694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About football betting on: April 19, 2023, 03:33:39 PM
Likewise with any gambling game, it would always be between the gambler and the site/casino. The games are just tools to determine which would be victorious whether it is you orthe platform, and this is applicable to sportsbetting itself. A more practical example is; if your bet won, would it be loss to the team aside from their standing on the game itself? It would be other players or the site itself who would pay for your winnings. Also, this is not limited to football alone, or sports betting in general, this speaks to majority of the gambling games except for those which are peer to peer arranged 'coz as its name suggests, outcome will be between the players who bet;one would win, the other one loses. This is just how things work in this industry, no need to be upset or confused.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you favor betting on spesific sport? on: April 19, 2023, 02:56:35 PM
The idea of favoritism is enough to explain things. Would you bet in a sports you know nothing about? More likely not right? u less you will have a tip or the matched is fixed, wherein you could seek for profit rather than enjoyment. But most of the time, a gambler would bet only on sports wherein he/she enjoys watching and ofcourse making profit from. It would be a combination of profit and entertainment. If you are just into profit and regardless of what gambling activity it is, you should more choose a game which would be easily finished such as slots 'coz sports most of the time consume hour/s before a result comes up. So think of how long would you not enjoying something just because of the chance of earning profit from a game.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: April 19, 2023, 02:23:34 PM
Quote

The Premier League have confirmed clubs have voluntarily agreed to remove gambling sponsors from the front of their matchday shirts from the start of the 2025/26 season.

This is a move to try to reduce promotion of gambling in the premier league with it's increasing audience, do you think it can successfully reduce the number of people who gamble? What do you think? Will these gambling platforms not just move to other sports, do you think other sports that wear their sponsors name in England will adopt this new development in the premier league?

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/premier-league-clubs-to-remove-gambling-sponsors-from-front-of-shirts/ar-AA19Ogeu
It is not the sponsors but the gamblers that should be controlled if the management aims to reduce the individuals who would bet on the tournament. Even if the names of the gambling platforms are not on the players' shirt, if those sites are already known, their players would automatically engage with betting especially if they are into that particular sport. Some gamblers are not even that interested with the platform that they are playing with, they are just into the games being offered, bonuses, and rewards. Not seeing the names of their platform would less likely lessen the number of bettors. The number of gamblers would more likely decrease only if there will be further restrictions on the gambling sites' overall accessibility.
1697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting vs fantasy sports on: April 18, 2023, 11:23:20 PM
I barely tried fantasy sports but I have to say both of them are somewhat similar when it comes to sheer gambling because no matter how good some teams can be there are still random factors like unexpected injuries, illness, etc that can hinder the player during the game and even ruin your chances of winning. I nearly wanted to put fantasy sports on the skill-based side, but luck is still involved as players can sometimes perform better and hit a career-high.

Relating fantasy sports, did you mean simulated sports, or games related gaming platforms (like CS:GO or LoL?)
OP is likely referring to fantasy sports where you'll have to form your own team by picking several players from different teams and the participants will get a score based on how well the player's performance would be during that week or match.
Quite confused as well, is it like NBA2K game? 'coz if it is, then definitely there would be a huge difference with the gambling experience right? Things won't be running as is and manipulation would be a factor. I'd enjoy sportsbetting more for sure not only with winning or outcomes but the experiences as well.
If the OP means about fantasy games like DOTA2 or LOL then I guess at the very beginning of the game you will already see who has the upperhand considering both teams need to be more careful in drafting their in-game characters to play, but in most cases specially nowadays that it is quiet challenging enough to predict the outcome since there are not only one or 2 strategies you can play on a game. There is also this thing you consider like power spikes during early, mid, until late game. Unlike sports betting in which you will have to see the line-ups and first people who will play inside the court, their offensive and defensive strategies, and mostly a player's respective stats, but there are also tendencies on a team game that during in the middle of the game their plays become slow or fast paced depending on the situation. So still nothing is guaranteed on the end but everyone can still gamble on it.
Moba games such as Dota & LoL and FPS games like Counter strike are called E-Sports but fantasy sports are different from them. Here is its definition to be exact. If we are familiar with the teams that are playing on a regular sports game, we can pick easily but it does not mean that winning is now secured. It is still possible for us to lose if our luck is terrible or we missed something when analyzing.

In a fantasy sport, we are the ones that will pick our teams. I never tried this yet but it seems fun according to its description and we can ensure that the game is still fair because results are said to be based on the players' statistics.
How will it be fun if the only thing you would do is to wait for the outcome given that computation with the overall stats of players you have picked, is the bottomline? It would be more like a Yu-Gi-Oh card game (building your own deck and battling others), if I don't miss a point here? Fantasy sports would be more of a pure luck based game unlike with sportsbetting wherein rallies would matter.
1698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 18, 2023, 10:48:39 PM
Gambling in general is prohibited in my country but it happened that there are selected ones which are regulated or taxated under national government. I have experienced playing in lotteries while some of my friends are betting on lotteries as well but more often with "banana cards" which is a 'scratch it card'. I've been betting in lotteries for more than a decade and nothing gave me a win. However, I am aware that online gambling sites offer lotteries as well but it is sportsbetting which I am fond of in online gambling. Going back with lotteries, many people believed that "you would more likely be strucked by a lightning than to won in lottery", which discouraged ls me into it.
1699  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we should play on minor gambling platform? on: April 18, 2023, 07:36:42 PM
Lower wagering requirement sometimes, transaction fees as well, huge bonuses, and more. Small gambling platforms could offer more than what mainstream sites could offer simply because they just started in this field and they need to attract more players into their platform basically and that includes pleasing people. Downside on playing and falling from their promotions are risk of being scammed or fooled by scam websites. So if you are into such strategy which is to maximize offers from small platforms, then keep an eye to the gambling platforms you are engaging yourself with 'coz there's a risk of those sites to just be a fraud.
1700  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 18, 2023, 07:04:20 PM
Can you make bets on horses that are AI vs making bets on real horses? I see a new gambling project that focuses on horse racing only and I am surprised that those horses are not real live horses, I went deep doing research and it kinda looks like players will be the ones fine-tuning their horses 🐎 for better performance and go ahead to head with other players.

Do you think that gambling have a place with the metaverse in the future? I had a dream about being able to gamble online with people that aren't living close to me, we meet in the metaverse and it looks real, I know that sometimes when you think positively about something it is possible to dream about it.

Like with real computer games? Upgrades and such? I'd probably pass on this one. Upgrades would indeed help a gambler to win but since we are talking about AI, it is a bit confusing. If you're into horse racing then for sure you'd be more fond or live horses 'coz it gives a better experience. This would seem like those games we play on ads and I think it would be a double risk; one for the game itself and another one for the upgrades. Which I think would be more risky than with traditional horse racing wherein luck would be the determinant of the outcome. I don't also see how AI would be beneficial in gambling in the first place. Let it be gambling as is.
