1701  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can trustwallet be hacked. can the owners take money of all the users? on: January 06, 2023, 04:34:42 PM
Yes they can if they want to, closed source means we don't know what and how the wallet is designed so you have to go with reputation/trust or simply choose the open source so you can verify the signatures on your own and its impossible to steal your money without your mistake like using infected device, getting phished or something similar.
1702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transferring value from Mexico to Norway through crypto on: January 06, 2023, 02:27:12 PM
Hi all, Happy New Year!

I need to transfer significant value from Mexico to Norway, and the banks in Mexico charge at least 3.6% fee on the transaction.

Any tactics I can deploy to get away with a lower fee by buying crypto and withdrawing it to a Norwegian bank account?

For example:
1. What is the lowest fee I can get away with by buying crypto with Mexican pesos? Do I first need to buy USD / USDT, and then crypto? How, and what exchange?
2. How do I withdraw the crypto to NOK/a Norwegian bank account? Do I need to transfer the value to another crypto wallet which is linked to a Norwegian account?

What total fees would I end up paying in total with the tactic you think is right?

Thanks a lot for any thoughts!
If I am not wrong you can use p2p and get away with 1% fee and that's it, all you need to do is to buy BTC with Mexican fiat on any p2p then sell it for Norway money but you may need bank account in your name to avoid premium prices and wait for the best deals which really depends on how much the trading value is.
1703  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: copytrading on: January 06, 2023, 12:24:32 PM
Hello, what platform do you recommend to do copy trading that you can start investing with less than 100 dollars? I understand that most platforms require a minimum of 100 to do copytrading, right?
are there any other options besides bingx to start with less than 100?
And some tips to choose the best traders?

Etoro platform is one of the most famous copy trading platform but I don't know why you choose copy trading and if you did because you heard something like you can become rich with no skill and less money then its just an advertisement gimmick to gather more traffic but in reality there is no guarantee that even top earning trader will do the next trade in profit.
1704  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto Exchange Business on: January 06, 2023, 10:58:06 AM
My plan is to create an app like paypal for people to make online transactions with venders. The app would only host one main coin that I would like to create as a  safecoin for people to use as currency for the venders. The venders that would mainly use this would be marijuana dispensary's which arnt allowed bank accounts. This would provide digital storage of funds for vendors that are cash only at this point and also add the ease of online transactions. Im fairly new to crypto but ive formularized myself with how blockchains work and holding liquidity pools and expect to become proficient in everything crypto. from what ive gathered so far this project is posable all I need is some help with all the details.

So you are going to build and exchange app which exchange whatever cryptocurrency deposited by the user into something called safe coin and the people can use it to pay for the vendors but how do you convince that your coin is actually safe? And on what basis the coin will get its value?

I suggest you to go with something life bitrefil which mainly used to bypass almost every online purchase like converting the crypto into gift cards then it becomes spendable on every website.
1705  Economy / Economics / Re: How do cryptocurrencies affect Global Economy? on: January 05, 2023, 10:53:57 PM
Central banks are based on producing fiat money within controls and according to a corresponding stock of metals such as gold, or a reserve of major currencies such as the US dollar.

Do you really beleive this statement? Maybe many did until 2020 but that year really proved banks are printing the amount of money they wanted not based on reserves or anything as they did in 19th century so these fiat currencies are already weakening and this time we have an alternative to those papers so called decentralized currency which isn't doing anything bad do the economy meanwhile protect the users from inflation and actual value depends on demand and supply rule.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet is chess matches? on: January 05, 2023, 05:06:54 PM
Gamblers who love chess game will definitely make bets on the matches and its also one of the popular game for centuries but the traffic for the chess games is not that high like other popular events so we may not see them on every bookmakers and if you love the game then you can try to be s one too.
1707  Other / Meta / Re: This forum will need explicit rules on the use of AI. on: January 05, 2023, 02:45:01 PM
The growth of AI is really getting out of the hand and already one of the forum user highlighted the reply created by bot when the question has been asked and its not that bad and it doesn't create any suspicion until we spend time and detect the actual source of the content because what AI doing is simply gathering information all over the internet and try to provide a reasonable answer.

AI should be treated as bot account if someone is really willing to use bot account for any such purpose and it should be exempted from signatures so abuser won't get benefits of signature campaigns.
1708  Economy / Economics / Re: Your way of living the wage what you need to live normal life on: January 05, 2023, 08:04:39 AM
by doing calculations with economic experts they have disvored next prices.

If you live in generally canada you should earn at least 3500 in order to function normally.
Euro zone it's about 3500 EUR
In USA it's varied but If you live in los Angeles or new York it's a 7000$ + for sure
In UK London is more expensive but its about 4000 + for sure.

The goverment should restrict prices of rent for example If you rent out the Property goverment should check what could be the price of rent so to make sure person who rent will not use most of the work salary for rent

If we talking about countries like Norway where food price Are very high then Norway minimum wage should be atleast 100,000 NOK + it's about 10,000$ value.

Business who dont comply with minimum wage rules should get highest penalty and not allowed to operate anymore.

If person have more skills and experinces then salary should go up immediately otherwise penalty for company.

If we do this then instant paradize all around the world

Rent also works on the basis of demand and supply so as long as someone is willing to pay the rent the owner is asking for there is nothing wrong with it. Generally the rents of a place depends on where it is located and what are the amenities it has, etc so I don't think government can't interfere with private properties but if they really care then they should increase the wage according to the inflation rate and pass order to every employer that worker should be paid this minimum wage.
1709  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: January 04, 2023, 04:59:38 PM
I sit-down to wonder why traders who are consistent in trading and also investing still remain very broke despite the effort they put to erradicating poverty, but it still seems like there is some sort of unforseen and spiritual forces controlling the physical.Or should it be foundational curse from the forefathers affecting the present circumstances?or is it that the poverty is inherited? Or is it a gene or chromosome?.These are questions that that I tend to ask.
Spiritual? If yes then people who spread the religion should be the rich but why business man and investors are rich!

Keep doing wrong doesn't make it right so if someone is losing despite of their hard work then its time to make changes in their strategy for trader as well as investors.
1710  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: For those who are just getting started in crypto this 2023 on: January 04, 2023, 02:18:40 PM
Starting with decentralized exchange is not good idea in my opinion because the fees are high and not really user friendly so either they can start small amount with centralized exchanges and move funds to their wallet immediately when they have no intention of trading in near future.

Poloniex is not really recommended for trading which have many accusations against them and also faced hacks in past and I don't know they really gave any refunds for people who lost their funds so just go with Binance which is better compared to poloniex but keep in mind KYC is mandatory now on almost every centralized exchange.
1711  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 1.6 BTC locked on Blockchain.com on: January 04, 2023, 10:25:19 AM
Blockchain wallet and coinbase wallet will take months to resolve or even to reply for a support ticket but st some point they will.

Did you tried using their app on smartphone? Or only trying via the browser. If not then try one another and don't keep sending the verification email in too short time frame, just wait for a while like 10 minutes before hitting again.
1712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a lone Sports Bettor or a Team Sports Bettor? on: January 03, 2023, 04:53:09 PM
A lone sports bettor, in my opinion, is someone who does not rely on another person to interpret the odds and advise them which sporting event to wager on. Before placing a bet, the lone gambler conducts his own study and analysis.

In contrast, a team sports bettor, in my opinion, is a member of a betting community or group on Telegram, Facebook, or Twitter that is led by a self-described expert in sports betting. He or she chooses the game on which to make their wager after conducting the necessary research and analysis on their behalf.

Which of these categories do you belong to and why?

Is anyone really betting on sports based on someone's suggestions from an online platform for long time?

There are thousands of such groups sre available but people may try it once ir few times until they realise its nothing but shit so every sports bettor is making their decisions on their own or unless they aren't sports bettor.
1713  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does money bring you security ? on: January 03, 2023, 03:20:39 PM

Well, it is a fact that money buys a lot of things that we both need and want. Nobody can deny material possessions give us comfort and joy in most times. However, it is really a question whether money brings you a feeling of security. In my experience, a lot of rich people are living in anxiety and fear. Before they got rich, all efforts and endeavours were taken most of their life and time but after they reached where they are now, insecurity and anxiety take control of their life. Have you ever thought about this ? Please share your thoughts.
Can you give a real example or you met someone who became rich and told you this?

Money gives you the ultimate power so more you have then you can feel more empowered and all these statements are created by others or just by the rich people itself to stop the dream among the common people to get rich.
1714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can offline wallets ever be hacked? on: January 03, 2023, 08:39:20 AM
i am quite disappointed for he's okay with storing btc on a compromised server.
I don't know what he was thinking. To me, even a noobie knows the importance of a hardware wallet. Maybe because two negatives make a positive?
When a person is too smart like a btc developer, he is easier to get fucked.
Maybe a simple negligence costed him a lot, yes he maybe a smart ass but not everyone can keep everything at its perfect all the time so possibly he was phished or something else happened so the key was compromised and caused the hacker to get access to his device.

As far as OP is concerned offline wallet and cold wallet are completely different, what I refer an offline wallet is never ever stored the key on any digital medium is offline and its impossible to hack the wallet.
1715  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you think that there will ever be an effort to boycott centralized exchanges? on: January 01, 2023, 05:26:24 PM
Yes there will be such effort created among the cryptocurrency users and traders when they become victims of centralized exchange hacks and scams. But until now even biggest scam not affected the majority of users much who knows where to keep their cryptocurrencies so for now I don't see any such kind of revolution among the community and also there is no perfect alternative there so people are forced to use centralized exchanges even though they really don't want to.
1716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: short term bitcoin trading techniques. and I call it, ANTS TRADING TECHNIQUES. on: January 01, 2023, 04:04:18 PM
I bought bitcoin and bitcoin was 50% I made a long term investment. and the other 50% I use for daily trading or maybe it can also be called a short-term investment. Indeed, if you look at short-term investments, to be honest, I have always been tempted by altcoins because if you trade daily in altcoins, if you can earn up to 20%, it can even be up to 50%. I just see that in altcoins the risk is very large. because if we fail our money can be drained out.
but I now prefer bitcoin for short term trading. because in bitcoin even though the ups and downs are not too high, the risk is not too high. and also the best thing about bitcoin is that the volume of ups and downs is very good. so for short term trading is very good. and little by little the money is increasing, but even though it's a little but it keeps going.
why did I name short-term trading the name trading ant? because of course we must have seen walking ants, even though they walked slowly but finally arrived at their destination, even though they arrived tomorrow or the day after tomorrow.

but I am a beginner and have no experience in the crypto world, so I am ready to be corrected if my opinion is wrong.

You did the right thing but even the volatility range of Bitcoin is less its still a big swing for a day trader because even 5 to 10% swing can eat you total profits so better not to do day trading is my suggestion and if you still want reduce the capital to 10 or 20% instead of 50% and gradually increase it upto 30% and never increase beyond that. Where the returns are high the risk also comes along with it.
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I now accept bitcoin payments in my Beauty shop on: January 01, 2023, 02:04:29 PM
Definitely it will give you more business sooner or later and from my personal opinion the strategy to accept bitcoin as payment will itself work as a marketing strategy and expose about your services to more people in your locality.

But Nigerian government is against the cryptocurrencies right then how they allow a business to accept when they are against it? Just for your safety make sure there is no issues with business in future by this move.
1718  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: January 01, 2023, 09:01:44 AM
Currently we offer level-up bonuses for our VIP and rakeback. However, due to popular demand, we are looking to implement weekly and monthly bonuses as well. Do you guys happen to have any recommendations for a formula we should use in determining what an appropriate weekly/monthly bonus should be?

We would love to hear feedback from all bitcointalk members!

Hope you guys have an awesome and safe New Years! Smiley

-Punt Management
Daily, weekly and monthly bonuses are generally based on the wagering amount so you can do the same to apply bonus if you want or can pick a lucky user using raffle or any kind of draw and reward the user but it is not that effective in my opinion from casino's perspective.
1719  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More Regulation Incoming! on: December 31, 2022, 07:52:08 PM
Events like MTGOX and FTX are only damaging the Cryptocurrency Industry.

The actual damage is done by the media because they are the one who portrays in that way and its caused by ignorance of the individuals so how can be the cryptocurrency responsible for that. Stock market too have lot of restrictions but still many companies robbed their investors either directly or indirectly so regulations can't really stop the scam unless the investors get enough knowledge about what to do and not to do.
