А я верю что через пару лет Solana пойдет на перехай и дело не в каких-то мем-коинах, которых и в других сетях тьма-тьмущая, ведь по факту они не имеют реальной ценности для пользователей, дело в самом блокейне, который в настоящее время не живет какими-то обещаниями, а постепенно улучшается, что можно заметить по растущему TPS. Построение сети Solana отличается от многих других тем, что когда улучшается железо валидаторов это напрямую увеличивает производительность сети. Пока другие разработчики будут изобретать что-то новое чтобы масштабировать свои сети, сеть Solana будет масштабироваться сама по себе.

I consider 2022 to have been a fairly successful gambling year for me, as I have never lost more money than my own established threshold of $100-200 per gambling session. Of course there were wins and losses, but I can't say that I lost or won much.

Seeing the results, it's obvious that we prefer sorts betting, or we can put it this way, there are more sports fans here (regardless if they are betting or not). Maybe casino's are entertaining and fun to some of us, but I guess there is no thrill compare to watching our favorite team betting on them and then winning huge money as well for supporting them. And sports game are throughout the calendar year, even if the WC has just concluded, there are still football league around the world that we can bet and other sports too.
Betting on sports implies that you use your analytical skills, and gambling in the casino, for the most part, only depends on luck. Most forum users are fairly sensible people, which is probably why they prefer sports betting. I bet on sports and play slots, but slots is an entertainment which allows to distract from reality and relax unlike betting on sports. |

I agree. Personally I feel something is wrong in that connection. I know players are people like any others, there are cheaters and people who use doping, but I do not want to see chess games at the same pages as soccer betting etc. Probably sooner or later we will have bets on chess games because if anything may make money, we will see that implemented. I, like many people, used to play chess and I think this game is very good, but personally I am not interested in betting on chess tournaments as well as watching other people play. The first time I read the whole post of OP, I laughed a bit just because on how he brings up that "free alcoholic drink" as the reason why he lost too much money. At first place, he can just ignore or not to get those free drinks if he really doesn't want to, right? If he didn't try those alcoholic drinks, will he lose his money? I don't think so unless that man is really addicted to the point that it doesn't need alcoholic drinks just to empty his wallet. Overall, self-control really is a very important trait especially when you are gambling. Knowing when to continue and when to stop is a big thing. Not having a self-control and discipline will lead to these kinds of things. Wallet getting empty, savings being gone because of gambling etc. Now with regards to other factors that can contribute to addictive gambling, I believe peer pressure is one. What peer pressure are you talking about? Each of us chooses our own path. You wouldn't jump off a roof if your peers did, would you? I'm sure that no, because you have your own head on your shoulders and you are well aware of what it will lead to. But why is it that when peers are into gambling and invite you to join, you think it's pressure? Each of us can refuse any offer, like free alcohol in a casino. |

About the free booze, I totally agree with you. If a person can't control himself after drinking a few beers or any other alcoholic beverage, then he'd better stay away from alcohol. Gambling for money implies a clear mind and somehow alcoholic intoxication doesn't go well with that. This guy in the story had it coming - he got drunk and lost his money. In your opinion, how long is the period of inactivity of the account for the casino to increase the rate of return? In all my life I have only met two people who made money from betting on sports. One had it as his main income for several years, and the other had an official job, but in between he was looking for a good bet. Both of them, according to them, had a good income, but they didn't do without losses either.
In fact, there are a lot of established bookmakers on this forum who have their own threads here. So it's not that hard to find a bookmaker on your own.

Полагаю, что те, кто заходили в самом начале и продавали Sol на хаях имеют достаточно денег чтобы продержаться это медвежку. Конечно как и везде в Solana держат и домашние ноды (не везде провайдер может предоставить канал в 500Мб/с и позволить жрать столько трафика, сколько ест Solana.
Но это если соль не пойдет по стопам еос и прочих убийц эфира, что уже стало именем нарицательным А шансы на это немалые... Да все с Solana будет нормально. Alameda Reserch инвестировала средства во многие проекты. В Matic (Polygon) она инвестировала чуть ли не в два раза больше, но фада по этому поводу вообще нигде не встречал. Все это целенаправленный фад на Solana, который в итоге сделает сеть и сообщество только сильнее. Solana очень далека от EOS. ~ А стейк от фондов большой? Какая там хоть доходность
Около 62k Sol, у старичков еще есть стейк от Alameda (18k-19k), который застейкан частями и срок его окончания вплоть до 2028 года. Как я понимаю доходность сейчас отрицательная, если сервер аредуется. На домашних серверах валидаторы могут продержаться еще очень долго, к тому же в любом проекте есть валидаторы, которые топят за идею или имеют свой собственный стейк и едут на нем. |

1.This might be fake news. 2.If this news is actually true, then SBF is an idiot. So many people in the crypto world praised Bankman-Fried as some kind of genius. It seems like SBF is the complete opposite of a genius. We can't predict what is happening in a desperate person's mind. Some people start acting totally dumb and irrational, when they lose control over the situation in their lives. SBF could've pumped &dumped some dead shitcoin in order to recover some of the losses. FTX/Alameda had enough money to do such thing. The profits would have been way bigger. I know it's unethical and probably illegal, but doing such thing is way smarter than wasting millions of dollars on gambling. He is facing a huge prison sentence, and even if he knew that before he was arrested, gambling that much money is just crazy. I'm sure he knows how to do the math and knows that the casino has an advantage over the player. I'm still more inclined that he is not a gambler, but just a man who was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time, and he lost everything simply because of greed and his not very clever scheme to get unsecured credit. |

to be honest, i will take the bet because i can get many times what i bet,, and for that bet i will put 10% of my income, it is quite small but i don't want to be too greedy because even though the prize is very big i won't want to take a risk by putting quite a lot of my income on that bet because even if i lose the amount is only 10% of my income and it's not too much and i can let it go
10% of your income to 10% of your bankroll is quite a difference, and for me 10% of income is big enough to bet on one session bet and I probably wouldn't do that. Regarding the Op's question whether to bet like that, I answered that I don't know because for me it was just theory and it would be very different when we did it. In general, people are very gambling creatures by nature and if they see a good offer, they take a risk. I think that if you take into account the condition that the proposed bet can only be made once, many would agree to try their luck. After all, it's not just about the odds and the risks, but also the opportunities. If the opportunity is given only once a gambler obviously will not miss it.
