I think you should know that your ISP can track your online activities and they know if you are visiting gambling sites on your cell phone and computer. They can give this data to the government anytime if they feel like or if the government demands it. So i hope you are using a paid VPN and you know all the tips and tricks to hide your identity online. It's still not safe to play gambling online if the government had banned it already.
luckily I still haven't had a problem even though I only use cloudflare VPN when opening crypto gambling sites through my smartphone and laptop

I know for sure that my online activities have the potential to be tracked, but because I only use small capital, the authorities don't really care lol

It really depends upon the government, how much they are serious about catching the people who are gambling illegally, and usually the amount which you use to gamble should not matter.

Either the government does not know that you are a gambler or they don't have plans to actively caught people gambling, otherwise, they would have come to you irrespective that you gamble with small amounts.

We should not forget that the authorities have more serious problems to solve which they spend their time and money. The gambler does not bring significant problems to the state, so it is impractical to spend effort on tracking it. Of course there can be demonstrative processes for intimidation, but I do not think that this will make gamblers completely stop gambling.

In addition, do not forget that gambling can be played not only in land or online casinos. I'm sure that in every country there are illegal casinos where law enforcement agencies can't get in.
1784  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this statiscally possible in a lottery? on: October 02, 2022, 02:39:42 PM
I can't say whether this lottery or at least this particular draw is rigged or not although there have already been many talks about it. But I guess the pattern of the winning numbers is simply a coincidence. If this is indeed rigged, those who chose the winning combination should have picked random numbers. Picking a winning combination such as this would only ignite suspicion. If players doubt, they might not play anymore. That means a loss in revenue.

Another surprising thing about this is that there are 433 winners of the jackpot. Normally, there's only 1 or 2 of them. Sometimes none at all.
The amount of winners for this combination is almost statistical impossible. There have been a lot of probability computation that has been shown throughout sa social media that proves how much unlikely this to happen. Also, the combination of numbers which shows that all numbers are divisible by 9 is too suspicious for all of this to be a coincidence.

There are also a lot of speculation that the PCSO or the lottery services has been cheating or manipulating the winning combination and up until now there is no to little effect on them.

It is very difficult to prove that this lottery was rigged, because there is a probability of such an event and it is easy to calculate. I would begin to doubt the fairness of the lottery if such a situation were repeated several times, but a single combination of multiples of a number is quite possible. After all, it is just a random set of circumstances, which the human brain tries to interpret as something unbelievable.
1785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: New Gambling Site has a Short Signature Campaign on: October 02, 2022, 02:27:57 PM
~snip~

It seems to me that it is not surprising that some signature campaigns end quickly, and some last a very long time. It is quite possible that the owners of gambling sites explore the market promotion changing their strategies and this is quite normal because only in comparison can you understand what kind of promotion more profitable.

If we talk about the state of the market, now many companies reduce not only payments but also reduce workers. So we wait for a bull market and try to worry less.

The first thing to understand is that earning in gambling on a permanent basis few people get. Of course you may be lucky and you will win a large sum, but the probability of such an event is negligible. It is necessary to perceive a loss as a payment for the game and then gambling will bring pleasure. You pay for a ticket to an amusement park, a movie or a ride on public transport, the same rules apply to the casino - pay money.

1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: September 29, 2022, 12:46:28 PM
Gamblers will gamble even if they are banned by law and it is well seen in countries that already have such laws in place.
People have been gambling since ancient times and it is not as easy to give it up as it may seem. No law can stop gambling as long as we have the means to hide our identity. And even if we can't play online games we can always find gamblers to play poker or other games on the street or in the apartment.
1793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 29, 2022, 10:07:32 AM
The worst thing when gambling is of course too selfish to expect victory and choose shortcuts to multiply money, because basically gambling is risking money to play.  In addition to having the courage to accept the consequences, we must also be able to play calmly and not act rashly.  besides that we must be able to avoid using money that should be used for other needs.  obviously Op did the wrong thing because he was tempted to double his money on gambling, this of course has often been done by some people when there are needs and have a short mind.  but most people will definitely experience the same thing when in conditions like Op, because the main goal when gambling is not to have fun but to expect to get a big win from it so that it ends up tragically losing everything
Speaking of selfishness, I think it has happened to some gamblers who continue to gamble and hope to multiply their money through some gambling games. After getting a few wins or losses, one can become selfish because they are tempted to get more wins or recover from losses regardless of how big their chances of getting them are. This is what is experienced by many gamblers out there. This ultimately leads them to bankruptcy and will be realized when their money runs out on the gambling table. And before we experience or have experienced it, we better know ourselves and not force our will to continue gambling and stop immediately before things get messy.

In the process of gambling is very difficult to stop so people so often lose all the money. The only thing that can help to avoid such situations is to limit the money allocated to gambling. For example, you can allocate to gambling $100-200 per month and not exceed this limit (actually this amount depends on how much money you do not feel sorry, because with a high probability you will lose them). If you cannot limit yourself and spend much more than you have planned, then most likely you already have a gambling addiction and you need to fight it.
1794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 28, 2022, 12:14:46 PM

If we are talking about licensing and protection of casino users, a very important factor is the jurisdiction in which the license is obtained. And as practice shows most online casinos try to get a license in Curacao or Malta, as in other jurisdictions getting license is very expensive, which is unaffordable task for new gambling site. Besides, in many jurisdictions there is a tacit monopoly on gambling and getting a license there is simply unreal.

If I had the task to open a casino, I would not immediately get a license, and sent these funds to attract and users and to improve the quality of services that would contribute to a good reputation because I believe that reputation is much more important than the license.

I support your point of view, but unfortunately not everyone can understand it because many faiths have a negative attitude towards gambling, and some of them even equate gambling with sin. That is why I believe that we must hide our hobbies gambling from outsiders. Some of them just don't understand how they can trade an evening at their favorite TV show for a game of slots or poker.

It seems to me that very few people are able to learn from the mistakes of others, because it's like learning to ride a bike without a bike. Most of us can only learn from our own mistakes, it's just that each of us has a different attitude to the money we lose - some of us get it easily, and some of us have to work hard to get it. Someone may have a mental disorder that does not allow him to control his behavior when playing gambling and no matter how much experience he has he will never learn to control himself. In my opinion it is all very individual.

Do you seriously think that if an online casino bought a license Curacao its users can be sure that it will not close tomorrow? The casino can be registered to a complete stranger as personal presence is not required to obtain a license in Curacao.

Just do not keep a large amount in the account and read the reviews on the casino, and then the issue with the license will be irrelevant to you.
1798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 27, 2022, 03:44:02 PM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.
if you are not a compulsive gambler, why should it affect your reputation especially if it does not affect your work? but then again, there are people who love judging people and people who have strong opinion against gambling. you don't really have to explain yourself but if the people around you started being distant or rude because of your gambling hobby I guess you can give them a piece of your mind

In general I think that gamblers should try to avoid spreading information about gambling hobbies outside their families and friends because many people believe that gambling carries only trouble. And if it so happened that someone found out about my hobby I will not begin to justify to them because only I choose what to do in my spare time and am responsible for it.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: September 27, 2022, 03:30:03 PM
Reputation needs to be built, License is needed for the continuation of the casino in the future. Casinos that do not hold a License can be considered illegal when the government tightens the rules on casinos.
Casino visitors prefer licensed casinos because they are more trusted, many casinos that do not have licenses have to deal with the government to change their status from illegal to legal.

To be honest, I do not pay much attention to whether the casino has a license to provide gambling services as I'm not in the habit of keeping money in the casino account and at any time may proceed to another as slots are almost everywhere. For me, far more important is the duration of the casino, the absence of negative reviews and quality games. The license is necessary first and foremost for the casino owners so let them worry about it.

My worst gambling-related day was the day I lost about two months' salary in an hour. I played Martingale then and didn't calculate the initial bet, which led to the fact that after several consecutive losses I simply had no money left.

This situation allowed me to gain precious experience that will be with me for the rest of my life.
