1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play Slots? (long sessions / jumper / focussed) on: August 25, 2022, 06:48:08 PM
I've brought up this conversation before and kind of got a lock of flack for suggesting that there might be some legitimate ways to learn how to get an advantage when playing.  It sort of seemed like there's no proof at all that any strategies work, however my buddy and I who've I've been going to casinos with since we were of age, always would play slots after a player had sat on them for hours on end.  Likely zero true advantage here, but it was a strategy that we liked and ended up working a decent bit.

When I was a student, my friends and I also used this strategy and it worked fine in land-based casinos. Beer and friendly company contributed to keeping track of all the slots in the casino without fatigue for 2-3 hours. Unfortunately for a few years now I can only afford to play at online casinos, so now I can not use this strategy and I have to rely only on luck.
OpenSea, Rarible, SuperRare... on: August 25, 2022, 06:41:24 PM

I don't agree with you. Even if a person is into gambling it does not mean that he is irresponsible for work or money. There are plenty of professional poker players who are no worse than employees who do not gamble.

In general, I think it's not just a breach of confidentiality but rather the fact that an innocent person is discriminated against by this approach.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: POSSIBLE THINGS TO HELP US TO WIN AT CRYPTO CASINOS on: August 24, 2022, 05:43:03 PM
I think doing the home work to know the particular game to play and the one that you can do well with best result guarantee more of winning than the casino itself or relying on it to win, the casino don't win game but our ability to know which game to have result does it. Where the reputation of a casino come in is when to withdraw, so a casino with bad history of withdrawal may delay your winnings but won't stop you from winning except you are referring to the case if a casino can manipulate the results against the player.
Understanding the game you're playing surely helps like with card games for example but only to a certain point since most games still relies on luck and there's not much we can do to offset that luck whenever we're playing. I somewhat agree that picking a good casino helps because there are different casinos that offer certain rewards which you won't always see in other casinos and some of them have different calculations on how they distribute these rewards so in a way it helps us win since it increases our bankrolls.
We do know that games could be classified on two;

1.Strategic
2.Luck based

So it would it would really be just common sense that you would really be using up on your skills on something that you could eventually able to do so
but for luck ones then dont bother because everything would be random. There's no way that you could really take advantage on something which do fully rely
its results on RNG or totally random. Play for leisure and dont chase for making money or profits because that would create desperation.

This is good advice. Indeed, to get rich on gambling manages to very small percentage of people and in most cases wins a completely random player and not the one who spends every night in the casino. So there is no point in chasing after the winnings because your luck does not depend on faith, amulets, etc. luck depends only on the algorithm.
1926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How would you prefer your casino reward? on: August 24, 2022, 10:42:55 AM

I agree with you as the free spins are the hope that you can win more money than is offered in the cash reward. Everyone who comes to the casino has money but they lack excitement so changing the excitement for a small amount of cash rewards is not really appropriate. At least I would definitely choose free spins.
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling schools importance on: August 24, 2022, 09:17:21 AM
I do not think that the school of gambling can give a person more information than he can find on his own on the Internet. Although for some people who don't want to search for information on their own, it may help in some way. The most important thing to understand before going to such a school is that no gambling school can teach you how to win all the time. Most likely, you can only understand the principles of various games of chance and get some tips on the game.

Tornado Cash

Ethereum Tornado Cash.

1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: August 23, 2022, 09:41:14 AM
From the government point of view this sounds like a good idea, as some of you have alreadysuggested this does not only restrict access to glambing to children but also it is a measure against tax evasion and money laundry.

However, when comes to preventing children from gambling this ID will not be an ultimate solution, people tend to underestimate kids and teen's intellegence when comes to avoid filters and rules. Will this ID prevent teens from using a VPN and signing up on KYC-free gambling websites? I doubt it.

Not mentioning the fact this could be also an attack against one's privacy.

That's what I think, too. Today's generation of teenagers understand a lot of things better than those who make these laws. Whoever wants to gamble will find a way to do so without using a digital ID. That goes for adults as well as children. That's why I think the introduction of digital ID in gambling is primarily a violation of the privacy of gamblers.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you play Slots? (long sessions / jumper / focussed) on: August 23, 2022, 05:55:39 AM
I do not stick to any particular strategy when playing slots. Sometimes I can spend the whole playing session at one slot machine, and sometimes I want to play different games. I think a lot depends on the mood of a gambler and his personal choice. Also, I believe that it is useless to chase after the winnings as by and large the probability of winning the slots almost does not depend on our decisions and depends on the algorithms.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 23, 2022, 05:50:01 AM
Though this might be the case, there are some streamers online who intentionally stream gambling websites and provide honest feedback from it. I just hope that Twitch does something about it given that majority of its audience are underaged adults.

I can't think of a way how Twitch will be able to control or filter the audience especially pointing to minors.

On that matter, we just need to trust those minors to use their common sense and not to get involved in gambling at an early age.

Regardless, they will really encounter gambling every day not just thru online interaction.

Big companies like Google, YouTube, Twitch and streamers only care about their profits, so it makes no sense to expect them to be interested in protecting our children from information that can get them into trouble. We as parents should spend more time educating our children and explaining to them the principles by which this or that system works. Even a child can be taught how advertising, promotion and the risks of gambling can work.

Should we allow or support internet sensations to fight in the ring

everything can be done at this time, it's up to you because this is already an entertainment industry meant by holding this match, but I don't agree with the promoter where the promoter clearly wants to make money with the existing popularity. this should be stopped because it is detrimental in my opinion
But how do we stop it because nowadays with so many ways to broadcast the match, it won't be a problem for the promoter to keep broadcasting it.
They can choose broadcasting media that doesn't forbid them to keep providing entertainment to people.
In addition, people will also definitely look for wherever the match will be broadcast because they feel that the match already entertains them.
This should come back to the individual because if more and more people disagree with the spectacle and choose not to watch it, then the game will not earn much money and in the end, the matches will stop.

I absolutely agree with you. Promoters create a hype around a sporting event, which means they attract not only spectators but also advertisers and sponsors, without which athletes' income would be severely diminished. That's why I think that nowadays the promotion is the main vector that helps athletes to strive to achieve better results.

Bitcoin

Ronin.

Everything can make a person greedy.  Job can make a person greedy, so is job not allowed in a religion?  Food can make a person glutton, so is food not allowed in a religion?  Anyway I am just stating a fact that not all the religion elders interpretation are correct.  It should be verified with what is written in the scripture.  Besides the possibility that a religious leaders has incorrect knowledge had been proven by history.  One of which is about the sun rotating around the earth which they aggressively pursue those who has different view about it.
What you are saying is correct, however those which believe in whatever is written on their holy book as correct will most likely disregard your argument, for those people there is no room for argument, if it is written then it must be correct and that is it, which explains why there are so many people that even today believe that the sun is the one that moves around the earth or believe that the earth itself is flat and not round as all the research indicates.

Each of us can believe whatever we want, but I believe that we should not have a certain point of view imposed on us, as is done in religion. Besides, even religious people very often violate some religious prohibitions and try not to talk about it. Religion is designed to control humanity and if you understand this you are most likely an atheist.
1935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Influence of "Paid" Streamers on Online gambling..... on: August 22, 2022, 09:26:52 AM
There are big streamers who makes million over a month just streaming daily on Twitch.  Gambling streams are usually sponsored by gambling platforms,  especially Stake have made contracts with all big streamers on slot section of Twitch.  It is paid advertisement and sort of business for both parties but the crazy amounts won by streamers are not fully paid, IMHO.

I think that we will never know the real terms of contracts between streamers and gaming sites because most likely streamers sign a nondisclosure agreement. So they can tell us anything, but not the fact that it is true. Personally I think that 80-90% of streamers play for money gambling platform and take no more than 10-15% of the big winnings, as they get money for their work separately.

1940  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: [ETH] Ethereum - мировой компьютер on: August 19, 2022, 04:29:47 PM
Ethereum
