1701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Too good to be true? on: October 07, 2022, 01:02:25 AM
Is it possible to invest 100$ in altcoin and turn to 7,000$? Have this ever happened to anyone on here? Is this even possible?.
It's possible. I experienced it before actually, but only with 40x of my initial investment. It's a risky move and not advisable since the coin that I invested in is a shitcoin, just pure hype. I just tried and was lucky to sell at the right time during its peaked price. If you want to have such return, it's possible to new coins who doesnt reach its ATH yet. However if you're looking for less risky investment then choose an established coins because it's already proven to be profitable as well but not with the return that you like it to be.
1702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the safest bet for 3X to 5X return? on: October 06, 2022, 07:15:24 AM
Hi everyone!

I have around 40k usd and I'm looking for a 2 years investment.

What is the safest bet in your opinion?

- Bitcoin,
- Ethereum, or
- Solana?

I'm expecting a 4x in avarage... Thank you!  Grin
I'll go for Bitcoin and ETH because these coins are already well-established. However the chances to achieve your 4x investment return is possible in Solana since the previous ath is not as expensive compared to Bitcoin and eth. But if you're looking for the safest then go for the well-established coins because they are already proven to be worthy to hold though you might need to extend your set period since it might take longer years before these coins can achieve your target price.
1703  Economy / Economics / Re: Reasons you will remain broke as an adult on: October 06, 2022, 03:10:45 AM
Most time we blame our government and economy for being poor. Although they contribute largely to the masses poverty but we also need to work on ourself to make a difference out of the bad economy.
True. Some people keep on blaming the Government (particularly the leader) for their hardships because they're relying too much for the programs, benefits, pensions etc. and not doing something to help themselves. If you're born poor it doesnt mean you will live like that forever because that depends on how you drive yourself. The problem is many people used to depend on other people's kindness and dont want to stand on their own. A kind of person who like to be spoon-fed. Well, If you're lazy dont expect that you'll achieve something, if you want to change then start to strive now.
1704  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If I get heart Attack that is because of BITCOIN on: October 06, 2022, 01:34:33 AM
Hi guys I think I might have heart Attack cause when I buy Bitcoin it goes to lows and when I sell Bitcoin it goes higher and today I sold my all Bitcoin earnings that were 200 dollars and than. BITCOIN starting pumping very hard and that was very very annoying to me. What should I do about this?
This is the reason why we need to manage our emotions especially when we trade/invest. Because not all the time our decision is suitable for what's going to happen since we can't really predict the next move of the market. As a trader, you should be prepared for a situation like this since it's not something new.

Many of us experienced the same of what you have been through but we can still manage and moved on and didnt let this affect us negatively. I think you're not prepared for this kind of way to earn, it seems you dont know the risk. Anyway dont forget to have yourself check because health is wealth.
1705  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is It An Easy Transition From Gamer To Gambler In Casino. on: October 05, 2022, 09:34:36 AM
If you're a gamer or someone is a gamer and would like to try to gamble in online casinos will it become an easy transition as all the elements of gambling are present when you're a gamer, or does a gamer have to start all over again, and have a different motivation and mindset?
It's an easy transition since you already have an idea given that both have their own similarities. I believe a gamer is like a gambler since you have this eagerness to win the game. The difference is if you're a gamer it's more on entertainment while in gambling you have this goal to win not only because you're enjoying the game but because there's a real money involved that you put at stake. Both can be addicted too thus it still depends how you control yourself.
1706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Parents And Their Children In Gambling.. on: October 05, 2022, 08:58:26 AM
I won't risk my children to delve into gambling for what I know only a few who are capable of making money in that industry because the stories or experiences from relatives and friends, most of them ended up in debt.
The biggest problem they would face is addiction and it is very hard to develop discipline and mental capacity to fight this. I wouldn't like my children getting addicted into something that can ruin their whole life with a low possibility of being successful in the long-term.
I don't think any parent wants to see their children get into gambling, spend a lot of money, or become addicted.
Even if the children play gambling for fun, the parents don't want to see it because it can damage the mentality.
Addiction is a problem that their children can have; when it happens to their children, they will find it difficult to cure.
That's why as parents, we must always supervise our children from the wrong association with their friends to grow up well.
But in op's example that is not the case. The father (Michael Jordan) failed to discipline his son and let him gamble and spent huge money in gambling. Yes they're well off people and can do what they want. The father also gamble but he's already matured to know what's right or wrong, thus his child's action just shows what kind of father he is. Parents are supposed to be the ones to teach and guide their children because it's our responsibility. It's really true that our style of parenting affects our kid's behavior.
1707  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bear Market More Important Than the Bull Market? on: October 05, 2022, 12:55:33 AM
Bear and Bull market are both important. Bear is the time to accumulate and bull market is the time to sell and profit from what you invested. It's part of the cycle and investors who used to seeing these seasons are aware on how to take advantage it for their own gains. But if we're going to compare on what investors prefer between the two then it's probably the bull since everyone is active in trading and has their own strategy to maximize their profit.

For newbies, engaging themselves in crypto during bearish season is a good choice since it's the time to fill their bags. They just need to educate themselves on how crypto work, what to expect if they invest and the risk associated with it.
1708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the perfect time to invest in Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 05:46:03 AM
If you invest at this time then you will definitely be able to reap huge benefits as I believe that Bitcoin price will increase greatly by 2023.
Bearish season is indeed a good time to buy Bitcoin because the price is quite cheap. However many investors are still hesitating due to their fear that the price might turn downward further so they want to buy at the bottom which we can't pin point exactly. Some of us prefer to buy when the market is already recovering to join the ride but since crypto is high volatile anything is possible to happen because it's unpredicted, therefore we're not certain if the recovery is continues and there's no correction that might happen. That's why if you invest, have less expectation since there's no guarantee to gain. Buy and hold for long period because Bitcoin is best as long term investment, that being said patience is a must.
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you change your mind on gambling ? on: October 04, 2022, 01:06:09 AM
Here in our place, any physical form of gambling is not allowed (only in our city because in nearby cities it's not prohibited). If you're caught playing you will have to pay the fine or worse you'll get imprison. Thus the only way to gamble is through online since it's not restricted.

I'm not a core gambler and though I set aside a money meant for leisure monthly, it doesnt mean I cant stop my gambling activity if it's already prohibited. I only gamble for fun thus it's also not hard to stop if necessary because there are also other ways to entertain ourselves.
1710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 433 Winners to split $4,015,156.265 6/55 Grand Lotto Jackpot on: October 04, 2022, 12:30:12 AM
As everyone might have expressed above ... we are all agree that math never lies , human nature do . Sorry to say that most asians i have ever met had a very strong corrupt mentality ( no offense intended ) just my personal experience and this might caused by that.

This strory waaaay too makes no sense but a real life troll, period.

I don't know why PCSO didn't even think that there will really be a criticism once they released the 433 winners.

Even if that's really legit, it's really hard to accept it in any way. The jackpot is so huge that makes me think that they don't want that money to end up in 1 or 2 winners that's why they take advantage of it.
I have doubt as well if these 433 winners are real and not an agenda of the people behind to get a portion of the prize. There are winners already who showed their tickets to prove that they're really legit however many winners are still not showing up.  If im not mistaken this is the first time in PH history to have such number of winners. Lottery is a game of chance we know it's also possible to happen, but they must prove that no irregularity happened by showing the tickets of all the winners.
1711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How about investing into altcoins? on: October 03, 2022, 05:54:10 AM
Investing in altcoins during bear market might turn into suicide mission. It will be very hard to choose a proper altcoin to invest. Everyone, even old and reputed projects, try to look like a gem, but bear market easily and quickly clears market from weak and useless projects. The only reasonable advice that can be given - invest only in reach altcoins. In altcoins that have huge funds behind, investors and etc. Unfortunately, even innovative and progressive ideas fail nowadays.
It's really hard to invest in altcoins during this time because we're not certain if this specific project can survive the bearish season and it's still uncertain if we are already in bottom or might plunged further. However we also know this is the time to fill our bags, we just need to be careful in choosing what coins to invest in. A proper research is necessary because as you have pointed out even popular coins are having a hard time to recover particularly Bitcoin. Thus dont rush to invest and take time gaining information for the coins that you would like to invest in, if possible avoid shitcoins.
1712  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa kaba sa my mga bitcoin or any crypto noon? on: October 03, 2022, 04:25:28 AM
Omsim! Dapat talaga ganto mindset natin kung papasok tayo sa kahit anong klaseng investment mapa-crypto o hindi as long as kumita tayo, no need na mag-doubt o mag-isip ng malalim dahil profit is profit unlike sa iba na nalugi especially yung mga late na nakapasok or yung mga sumabay sa hype at naiwan na lang bigla.

Sang-ayon din ako sa ganitong mind set.  As  long as my profit na tayo sa pagbenta ng hawak nating cryptocurrency, dapat maging kuntento na tayo.  In the first place, pinlano naman nating makapagbenta on the said amount.

1713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: October 03, 2022, 01:26:12 AM
Not surprised tbh, it was expected a year ago but for obvious reasons, they delayed the gambling ban and the team has announced it a few weeks ago on social media. They specifically mentioned crypto gambling websites because of the popularity in recent years, dunno Train or Roshtain will continue their streaming career on alternative stream platforms or will stop streaming slots. Maybe DLive will be the next station for most of the gambling streams after Stake's decision.

Looks like DLive is the next big thing in the gambling world, as the 18th of October approaches, I see more and more people talking about DLive. I am not so big fan of streamers, especially the ones who gamble with crazy high amounts, I believe it's rigged, most likely they are playing for the house, so it's just some kind of marketing... I am not sure if will I register there and follow all that, probably not! That's probably a good question, how many people from here tried DLive already? And for others who didn't will they?

if one door closes, another will open, so to speak. so if twitch will ban gambling streaming, there will always be another platform that will accommodate these streamers. and one is the DLive. it may not be popular today, but give it a time, and soon they will be racking up with streamers also. that's the beauty of business, if one door closes, there will be more windows that will open to these people. this is not the end of the streaming world for gamblers.
That's true. These streamers will look for other platform to continue what they used to and probably DLive is the next to accomodate these streamers. They will start from scratch again but I think it will not be hard compared if you're a beginner since you somehow established yourself to your viewers. Anyway, just want to clarify if the casino has a US licensed, does this mean it's still allowed to stream slots, dice etc.?
1714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman Abandons 4-year-old Child In Gambling Shop As Collateral After Huge Losses on: October 03, 2022, 12:56:27 AM
My assessment is that this is simply a case of irresponsible parenting and problem gambling.
It's indeed a perfect example of an irresponsible parenting. How could someone used her child as a collateral? A mother who's in her right mind would never do that. The mother has a gambling addiction problem and it is in worst point since she's not in her right mind already. Anyway, what happened to the kid? I hope his custody is taken away to his irresponsible parent. Gambling is not bad if you are a discipline gambler who can control yourself otherwise it can put you into a worse sutuation just like the woman in this news.
1715  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Game on: October 02, 2022, 07:59:14 AM
I like gambling in my free time.  If at any time I see that I am more addicted to gambling then I stop gambling and go out.  It's a lot of fun to roll gambling dice.
i appreciate your liking, but keep in mind that when you enjoy gambling in your spare time and become addicted it becomes very difficult to stop. whose name is addiction, it is almost difficult to stop playing gambling and will continue to play no matter what.
it's better before you become addicted to playing gambling when you have unused money. don't force when you have free time you always play gambling
It can happen to everyone who decides to start gambling just for fun because once they have started to get that fun, they can get carried away and subsequently forget that they are gambling just for fun. But as long as you can control yourself in gambling and really remember not to cross that line, I think you can keep gambling and have that fun. We should never allow ourselves to be controlled by the emotion of pleasure to avoid problems that could arise later.
That's why before we gamble it's a must to be aware of the possible consequences if you lose your money in gambling. Ask yourself if you can bear that situation and can refrain yourself to not chase back what you already lost. Because chances to face losses are high, as we know the house always win and many games are luck-based thus it would be better to gamble with less expectation to win. That way it would not be hard to accept such outcome since you're already prepared for it and still chose to gamble.
1716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: October 02, 2022, 05:57:14 AM
We have different experiences in terms of the worst day ever in our life. One of my experiences is having a good winning streak in the slot games, and because of too much hoping to win the game, I tried to make an extension to the game I'm playing, hoping to get another profit at the same time, and upon this is I make a set with the automatic spins, so it's didn't too much hassle to me to spin. I forgot those set large amounts and continuously bet losing instead of having a good bet and profit; it's loss and negative gains.
stop when we were in profits was an obligation for us, continue on next day and enjoy our profits today. keep spinning was not good solution for us , goal seeking profits must keep reminded. consistent earning profits no matter it just small amount would be better than got huge profits at once but after that we lose .
When a gambler wins too much on one day and continues there, he cannot bring in that winning money. Because in excessive gambling, that money will go again and there is also a risk of losing his capital. That's why the word in gambling is often heard is "control". If a gambler can control himself then he will get success in gambling.
Self-control is really important especially if you're in winning streak and already profit. We think we're going to be lucky if we continue to play not knowing it's a mistake because you were not able to enjoy your winnings. You'll only realize the mistake after losing it all. This is common in gambling because of our greed to gain more. So gamble in moderation to not have an experience that you will regret later on.
1717  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 02, 2022, 04:15:36 AM
With a proper diet and enough time of preparation, moving to another weight division is not hard for this monster.
That's true. They have months to prepare for the fight, it's sufficient to adjust their body and train. It would be a bit different for what Inoue used to but I think it's not hard for him to adjust just incase.

No doubt that in this current division, he really has the upper hand, even in his upcoming fight against Butler, we can't deny that
most of us think that he can beat Butler aside from those who have their own perspectives and the fans of Butler for sure they
have their own opinion, but if after this fight and Inoue decide to move up, he needs some time for preparation before taking a fight.
Inoue is a monster and has an excellent boxing record that's why many boxing fans believe he will dominate his opponent again. Butler might be added as a boxer that he defeated, but still we dont know if Butler will let that to happen. For sure he also train hard for this fight knowing how good his opponent is.
1718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: About Casino Licenses on: October 02, 2022, 03:25:42 AM
Hello,

Is it possible and legal to open an online casino without a license?
I have heard that a license only allows to put users in confidence
What do you think about this?

As per the answers you have already received from other users here, it depends a lot on the country where you will be hosting your casino.
Obviously there are several alternatives to opening a casino without a license, but you need to analyze the risks of opening a business with this level of "underground".
I say this because today there are numerous gambling sites, it is a market that is already very competitive.
so, opening another site without even having a license is already a big negative point for you when trying to gain the trust of users.
I agree, many gamblers prefer a licensed casino, that is one to look for when choosing a casino so you can play at ease (though it doesnt guarantee that the casino is not scam). That being said, if you're planning to launch your own casino, why dont you operate in legal way? This can attract players that your casino is legit. Building a good reputation will follow and that depends on how you manage it in every aspect to prove that your casino is trustworthy.
1719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Casino tokens such as BFG, OWL or TFS on: October 02, 2022, 01:32:42 AM
A good understanding and an established trust will allow you to wait and patiently hold either you choose casino tokens or another alternative assets to invest your money.
Patient and holding always never be profitable . Because if we make a wrong decision without understanding and wait by investing in a scam token then it will not be good for us rather we will lose all our money. So we always need a proper analysis and proper decision to invest .
Well, not all because it depends on the coins. If you're going to invest in shitcoins then it's likely the outcome is not good. This is not the case if you invest in a coin that has utility and established. That's why conducting an extensive research is necessary, regardless of if it's a casino token or not, as long as you understand what you're getting into and aware of the risk that would be enough. We have our own strategy and our goal is to gain in the future hence we should know better if it's profitable if we invest in this particular coin/token.
1720  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: October 02, 2022, 01:15:05 AM
Hi guys do we have an ongoing Roobet Art contest? I think I missed it out hehe
it seems that there are no other contests held yet maybe the next event will be held again, I also missed it even though at that time I had prepared Art to be published in yesterday's contest but unfortunately it was too late, I think being active in this thread will help me to get any latest information about the latest contest from roobet in the future
I just noticed that they do launch out art contest whenever or basing up on a certain event or occasion or season most of the time, like Xmas, Season.
Usually you cant find those announcements on this ANN thread but rather it is on Services section and this is usually be handled out by Hhampuz.
Yes, it is true that this one is something interesting which you could really have the chance to win up but of course only to those people who
are really that good in art.
Even though there is no Roobet art contest now, I think there will be another one soon for the winter season which Roobet is going to give another chances for people that are interested in creating a artwork to put there ideas in making arts and submitting it for selection. There was one last for the winter with so much competition among different artwork submitted and the winners were finally selected.
Riobet and there team are really doing a good job providing opportunity for everyone who want to participate in the contest without restrictions.
Roobet is consistent in their art competition when there's an occassion or special event on their platform. It's been 2 years (if im not mistaken) since they started this competition here on the forum and it's really an opportunity for our artists here to showcase their talent. I think for the coming Christmas season they will launch an art contest again. It's a good promotion to have this contest because they're generous when giving prizes for the winners, one of the reason why Roobet became known as an established casino here.
