821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gift to wife on wedding. on: June 14, 2023, 03:02:22 AM
Although I still studied, I invested a small amount in Bitcoin. I will get married if I get a good job. Many people give many things to their wives as wedding gifts, I have a different plan. I am planning to gift bitcoin to my wife on her wedding day. Bitcoin is still illegal in my country so I invested with caution. On my wedding day I want to gift half of my investment to my wife.
Should I gift bitcoin to my wife? I want your advice
Is your future wife aware of Bitcoin? Do you think she will be happy if you gave her Bitcoin as gift?
You're the one who can answer these questions and if the answer is yes then I think she will be happy.

But as a woman, usually we prefer a girly gifts (as others mentioned already). If I were to choose I'd like a set of jewelries however since i'm also a bitcoiner and knows its value, of course I would be happy to receive Bitcoin. Anyway as her fiance, you know her personality better than anyone else and that can give you an idea on what might she prefer to receive.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: June 13, 2023, 10:32:04 AM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?
Well this is hard because you already win huge. The thought that you can win again will always hunt your mind since you already experience it. But I think it depends if that's your only goal, quitting is easy for gamblers who are already contented with their profit. But for gamblers who are hopeful to win once again that's not possible to quit even after winning a life changing amount.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.
Yes. That's the right thing to do actually. Never returning back is a wise decision to prevent losing the money you won. But it's easy to said than done, so again, it depends on the gambler. Smart gamblers knows what's the best thing to do in situation like this.
823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why People Still Gamble? on: June 13, 2023, 07:03:37 AM
People are saying that gambling is not good so nobody should involved themselves in it. Fathers/Mothers (parents) are shouting to their sons and sometimes beating them all because of gambling. If you are a gambler, the society sees you as a bad boy or person or a waste person in the family. Parents would be saying "look at your age mates, they are going to school and become a successful persons in the society, you are here playing gambling". They would even say, gamblers steal and thieves.
And really when you look at some of those boys they play Draft game morning till evening. Upon all these allegations against gambling. People are still Gambling. WHY? Is There Any Mystery Behind?
Some gamblers are just playing for fun to kill time while others are playing and hoping to win huge. Just shows that every gamblers are different and have their own reasons on why they gamble. Moreover, it's not surprising if some people are against gambling because of the negative effect for a player without control. However, not all gamblers are the same so it's not right to judge a person just because he/she is into gambling.

Anyway, as a parent, it's understandable if you want your child to stay away in gambling because of its negative effect. However if they're old enough and earning on their own, they're already aware of what's right or wrong so they can decide for themselves. The effect of gambling can be good/bad depending on how a player treat it and not because gambling is bad.
824  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: June 13, 2023, 04:03:49 AM
but whatever it is, if it's debt then we have to pay it at the right time. the problem is if we use debt to invest, will it be able to return on investment while we ourselves know we have to pay it at the right time plus the interest that has been agreed upon. well I think debt is not good, someone owes is due to a sudden need that is sure one day it will be able to return it.
I don't agree that debt is not good because it depends on the reason why we have to do it. Like the title says there are good and bad debts. If you're a wise person and would like to use the money to gain that would be better. As i've said before you need to have a back up plan just incase, so you're still able to pay your debt even you didn't gain from the investment where you spend the borrowed money. On the other side, asking for loan for your wants are the bad debts, but some people are not thinking if it's really worth it to take a loan just for this.

Well, probably even once in our lives we're also in a situation that we have to take a loan for a certain reason even we don't want to. But as long as you're not going to runaway and able to pay on time then it's fine. Just be responsible otherwise don't take a loan.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: June 13, 2023, 12:48:39 AM
investing in memecoin is a very bad thought considering memecoin is not a good thing to invest in,
there is no technology, no product, and there is no great demand in the future,
so you will be in vain if you think about entering memecoin just following Fomo from people who want to profit themselves.
fair point i think only invest in meme coin when we can be sure we are among the earliest, moreover we also need to make some
observation and analysation in regard of the meme coin we gonna invested in, after all only very few meme coin gonna succeed.
Some investors prefer to take risk investing on meme coins rather than the established one because of big profit in a short period if you're one of the early investors before the price increase. However, since many meme coins are existing it's also hard to spot the one that has potential to skyrocket. That's why investing in meme coins are not always profitable and more risky, you can earn huge but you can lose your money as well.

Thus, choose the project with real use case rather than a coins without utility. Do an extensive research and don't rely with suggestions because some of them are just shilling a coin since they invested on it and just want to hype for their own benefit.
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $90,000 all in bet on: June 12, 2023, 08:45:40 AM
UPDATE: A MISSED PENALTY AND A LOSS. BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD.
This is sad. Because you already turned your $4k to $90k that's a big achievement already. But you decided to go all in without hesitation for a bigger profit, unfortunately you didn't managed to win. Do you have regrets for what you did? Because it seems you're fine with what happened.

Sometimes we will only realize what we already have once it's already gone. If only a gambler is not greedy to ask for more, we can already enjoy the profit that's already in our hands.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: June 12, 2023, 06:11:16 AM
We all know that these casinos are doing business and none of them is running for charity purpose. The motive of the casino is to make money but at the same time they should also care about the people. If a casino is earning a lot and if they give some bonus to the customers, why not give it in a way that they can also take advantage of it and enjoy some money.
This is only possible if the wagering requirements are low. Good business model works where the customers are also given the facilities and not just the business owners or gambling site owners dominate and make money.

Trust me if a gambling sites will favor the gamblers with low wagering requirements, soon you will find all the gamblers shifted to that casino, giving them a really good business.
Indeed. It's understandable to have wagering requirements because casino is a business and it's just right to have such condition before we can withdraw. However, if the gamblers are seeing it as not fair because of high wagering, it can only discourage them to gamble because it's hard to fulfill, so they will just stay away. Obviously, it doesn't look good for the casino because gamblers might hesitate to play knowing their requirement before you can withdraw especially if you're just an average gambler.

Thus, if the casino do care to their gamblers they will not only think of what can benefit them but also take into consideration their players as well.
828  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Isa na namang Bitcoin negative publicity on: June 12, 2023, 03:40:56 AM
I want to hear your feedbacks tungkol dito mga kabayan! Negative publicity is still publicity parin ba?

829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: June 11, 2023, 11:13:19 AM
Don't dream too much of getting big wins; only think of gambling as fun. We will not be so eager to chase that win by thinking like that and the best thing is that we can manage our money to gamble and enjoy the moment of playing gambling.
That's how it should be but many gamblers are not treating gambling as a way to entertain themselves. We all want to gain huge but gambling is not the answer to achieve that because of the high risk. If some gamblers are lucky to hit a huge jackpot, other gamblers are losing their money and some of these are desperate to accumulate funds to sustain their gambling activity just like the story in the op.

If we gamble we need to accept the result, never chase your losses and quit as early as you can. Because if you became addicted it would be hard already to stop. So keep in mind to only gamble in moderation to avoid the negative effect of gambling.
830  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: June 11, 2023, 06:54:46 AM

It is really not surprising to see a 40 consecutive losses especially in dice.  Even in slots which often gives small amount just to break the dead spin streak gives 30 plus consecutive dead spin (read streak) when we are spinning for too long.  I always experienced that scenario since I am the kind of slot player that seldom hop to different games and often ends up playing in a single slot game.

In slots having a lot of consecutive losses happens pretty frequently especially on high volatile games. On the in-house games like Dice or limbo or crash it can also happen but more rarely. The longest "bad" streak I saw was about 20-25 consecutive losses (luckily for myself I was not playing Martingale than or otherwise I would have busted my entire bankroll lol).

Not usual but it can happen, 40 red losing streaks are something that you can't imagine happening if you are the one who's playing, those who are using martingale system who hopes that they can recover their losses after winning their next bet would be empty if that long losing streak take place.

Though, if you experienced that long red losing bets for sure the aggressiveness inside you will lead you to lose more than your expected budget.
You're so unlucky if you experienced such and it might discourage you to play that particular game again. Well, I don't stay in games that giving me bad experience, the reason why i'm not a fan of slot. Fortunately on the game where I usually play (live games), I never encounter yet of having consecutive losses (20-40 like others have experienced already). But even so, the ending is still favor in the house as i'm often finishing my gambling time with losses.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you stop gambling (sports betting, casino e.t.c)? on: June 11, 2023, 04:39:27 AM
The question is if you're a gambler or have someone who is, what's the best way to help out. And what's your story on escaping that addiction (gambling)...
I experienced already to become addicted in gambling, this is few years back. I can say it's not really easy to stop. For me it's like an illness that is hard to cure if you don't seek for a professional help and of course if you don't help yourself. There should be willingness on your part in order to overcome the addiction. It's not going to happen overnight because there's a process and you can take it slowly, focus your mind on what you want to achieve.

In my case, aside from the support of family, the changes of the environment is a big help to divert my attention and to start a new beginning. I went on vacation to a countryside where there's no access of internet and no friends that can attract me to gamble. There should be an activities that can entertained you so you won't think of gambling again.

Another art contest from Roobet!
Check this one now and start thinking for the concept of your art.
It looks like Roobet and the whole team will start working on this every Month.  Grin
Those who missed the last contest have the chance now to participate, don’t miss this again.
Well, I think Roobet was ahead of what's coming that they advertise to be on decentraland. I think metaverse will come rocking again in the crypto sphere. If it's every month then these artists will surely love that, I'm trying to learn how to do some digital arts but it's really not that easy especially if you haven't had the tools, my laptop is kinda laggy and it's not good for use with the like of Adobe products. I think you JohnyZ will grab some cash again with your arts, I love those little sculptures of yours.

Just saw the announcement in Service section and I am happy that Roobet continues to surprise every artist on the forum with their rewarding contests. I’m in love with the art contest and always keep waiting for it. However I did not participate in the last one as I wanted to give a break from the contest. My pencil artwork isn’t something that can represent every theme since it’s really tiny space.

I tried for every contest though but somehow it’s not for me. I’m not even sure about the current contest which is more or less metaverse which means it would need more space that cant fit on pencil TIP.

Excited to see how others do with it. All the best guys.
Yes I noticed that you didn't participate on the last contest. Your artwork is one of what I always look forward because it is something unique for me. It's not really easy especially you're carving on pencil which is quite small, BTW my uncle is a wood worker too (and also tried to join using his art before) so I know the effort and time you spent to create the best one.

Anyway, there's another contest now and plenty of time to create an entry. It's been a while since I last won but it doesn't discourage me to try again. So see you all on the next one, best of luck to all who will participate.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year on: June 11, 2023, 12:57:40 AM
Is There A Time That You Calculated All Your loses In One Year One Online and Offline
In one year? No. But I sometimes checked my previous wager (in online casino) to see how much money I lost already. It doesn't mean i'm regretting my decision that I gamble since it's not that much, but more on thinking how many times I won because it's rare.

So I stopped counting my losses and just minimize my betting I just tried to be happy on the thought that I have good times betting and I enjoy the thrill.
IMO it's not good to count your losses and think of what you can buy at the price if you didn't use it to gamble. It happened already so don't dwell on the past because it can only make you feel depress and later have regrets. Hence, if you play, it would be best to not track your losses and just focus on the present. Just make sure that you're not playing with the amount that you can't afford to lose, so it's not hard to accept the reality of experiencing losses because that's likely to happen if you gamble your money.
834  Economy / Economics / Re: A steady source of income is a man's bottom line to support his family on: June 09, 2023, 05:00:59 AM
Being a family man without any income is not easy, especially if those income sources are unreliable.

Nowadays, finding a job is exceedingly tough, and even if you are fortunate enough to obtain one, you might not be able to locate a position that pays well.

Even though the compensation is modest, I would advise your friend to accept the job offer and to keep looking for a better opportunity so that he may immediately switch to it when he finds one with a higher pay rate.it is better to have where we are seen little than waiting for the opportunity of big one that is not certain.

it is very difficult to meet the needs of family life if you only expect from one source of income, if a man has a family then there are very many expenses that cannot be controlled and therefore he is required to be able to find additional income with whatever is possible.
for me personally, i try to find a job with steady income even if it's small and after that i try to make extra money in my spare time.
I do this to minimize the risk if I am unable to work, sick or other things then my family must continue to live.
as a man who has a family, he is indeed guided by many things to be able to make his family happy and one of the ways is to have a lot of money.
One source of income will only be sufficient if your job is high paying. But if you're a minimum wage earner that's not really enough to sustain the needs of the family. However, at the time of crisis that you're really in need of job to provide for the needs of your loved ones, this is not the time to be choosy. If there's an opportunity then grab it while looking for a better job. Because it's wise to have a small salary than to have nothing at all.

This is the reason why it's important to have a savings (while you're still earning) to have money in times of emergency. But we will only realize the value of saving (and investing) if we're at the point of our lives experiencing hardship and struggling financially because we didn't see this coming. So don't wait for it to happen, save and invest now, look for ways to maximize your earnings while you're still young and capable to work.

835  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is ready for $40k on: June 09, 2023, 02:44:51 AM
Bitcoin will go to $ 40 if $ 30k is reached and stays above it,
if it is still below $ 30k then I myself still hesitate to say $ 40k is ready for Bitcoin,
especially in a bear market all bad news is very sensitive, it can be seen that Bitcoin has fallen from $ 30k to $ 25k ,
yes -$5k in just a short time.
Don't worry because the price increase will take time and a long process. There is some strong resistance right now which is expected to be penetrated and I believe it will never be easy. The market is still being hit by negative issues due to the Binance and SEC dispute, but I believe the market will recover slowly and will come back strong afterwards.

Now just do what you have to do like prepare yourself and adjust to the risks you have to face. The bitcoin price may improve soon and it will be more convincing ahead of the halving. I expect $40k to be achievable over the rest of the year, so of course accumulating it now is the best solution.
I'm worried about the price it's at right now if it's going to dump again or if it's going to go up. I was hoping we'd see the price of bitcoin back to 40k$ by the end of this year but I'm not sure with the market conditions I'm seeing.  It is unlikely that Bitcoin will increase in price in a few months. But hopefully sometime this year we will see Bitcoin break 40$k again.
Because of the negative news circulating and affecting Bitcoin and crypto as a whole, we can expect the price to move downward or sideways due to fear of investors who are not used to seeing Bitcoin declining. So I think it's not the time yet to see the price consistently increase and reach $40k in the coming weeks/months. However it's not going to last long since halving is also near, if there's a good news that can affect the price to move upward then it might be the end of bear season.

Nevertheless, it's not impossible to reach $40k price before this year end or even higher, we just need to wait and have more patience. Thus, don't be discourage if the price is not moving the way you expect it to be. if you're a long term hodler, then don't mind the current price and continue to hold.
836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter is considered as investors with a big patience. on: June 09, 2023, 01:22:44 AM
2017 was the peak of bounty hungting and most of the bounty there was paid and the reward was really big compared to thousand of bounties these days. Although still there was some scam projects and didn't make it from ICO to the exchanges but still you got decent rewards from there, compared to today it's really sad.
That's right. Many bounties are profitable before, because the rewards given to hunters had value after getting listed on exchanges. Yes there are also scam projects, but plenty of those are not scam, the reason why joining in bounties before are worth it even it takes months before you can receive your rewards and enjoy the earnings after selling.

Bounty hunters can't be recognized as investors because you don't invest anything(money) into the projects. That's the core key of investment, if you pay something to buy some assets for hoping to get some bigger return then that's called investment.
Well, hunters didn't invest money but they exert an effort to get paid. Investors and bounty hunters are different but when it comes to patience there's a similarity since both needs to become patient to gain.

837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: June 08, 2023, 08:59:05 AM
I believe bitcoin and banks are well renounced investment platforms but many people prefer bitcoin investment despite is very risky because of high demands and rising price interest and banks on the other hand saves millions of people finances all over the world yet their investment interest is very small but less risky than bitcoin. Which do you preferred your money to be save in as investment? Bitcoin or bank! What's your reason?
Bitcoin. Aside from the potential profit if you invest for long term, it is much safer (if you use a non-custodial wallet) because you're the one in control as long as you keep your keys securely. On the other side, you can't grow your money in banks due to the very low interest even you keep it there for years. So it's not really a good investment if you want to gain huge.

Anyway, for many of us who used to the movement of Bitcoin and aware of how it works, we know it's worth it even it can take a long period before we can see the result. Of course it's not guaranteed so one should be prepared for the outcome and only invest what you can live without.
838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There are a lot of scams on Twitter, and illegal links steal your assets. on: June 08, 2023, 06:12:41 AM
A few days ago, I saw a KOL with a large number of fans on Twitter. He was recommending a project recommended by many KOLs. As long as he followed his guidelines, he could get more airdrop tokens. As a result, when I clicked on the link, connect When my little fox wallet is signed and confirmed, my assets will be reset to zero. I checked the data on the chain, and in a short period of time, he actually defrauded more than 20,000 US dollars in digital currency, which is terrible.
Don't trust anyone and don't connect your wallet easily (especially if you have funds in it) just because you want to get some airdrop tokens. If this KOL is posting links to scam others, there's also a chance the account is hacked and was used by scammers to attract the people.

Hence, don't easily bite what they're offering and always take time to verify if it's reliable. Scammers are everywhere so if you don't want to end up becoming a victim then DYOR and don't be easily attracted in airdrops.
839  Economy / Economics / Re: To Hodl or Lend: What is your take? on: June 08, 2023, 12:53:17 AM
What is your honest take on bitcoin lending? Too risky, won't try it? Too risky, will give it a try?
It is too risky because there's always a possibility that you'll not be repaid to the loan you've given. Lending is solely for people who are willing to take the risk and aware of the consequences if ever the borrower didn't pay. I experienced to be a lender (though it's fiat) many times and got disappointed because some people are never true to their words. So if you can't bear losing your money then lending is not for you.

Due to this I will chose to just hold my Bitcoin rather than to lend it to increase my holdings. Because it's less stress on my part incase worst thing happened. So I think it depends for each of us. But if you want to be a lender it's wise to ask for a valid collateral so you have assurance.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: would you play more on casino when your country plans to ban BTC? on: June 07, 2023, 09:03:59 AM
while your country plans to ban crypto trading but online gambling legal, you'll gonna to decide what to do with coins.  would you go play your coins to accumulate or just withdraw and wait for the government to change stance?  no other option.
I can lose my Bitcoin if I gamble it so it's not a good idea if the Government decided to ban crypto trading. There's an alternative way if you really want to keep your Bitcoin (like what others already pointed out here) thus to gamble it is not only the option.

Anyway, if this happened in our country I might convert my Bitcoin to cash because I don't want to go against the rules of the Government. Then if I want to gamble, I will just use fiat as currency. Good thing this scenario is unlikely to happen here so it's not something to be worried about.
