981  Economy / Economics / Re: Living ones life on assumption and promises on: April 24, 2023, 03:23:08 AM
I will give you #5000 on Monday, how sure are you that the money will come in on Monday? Promises and assumption has caused alot of people there job, imagine leaving your recent job because a friend promise to get you a better job. This may even cause someone his/her life if one base most of his/her lifestyle on promises and assumption.
If you easily believe such promises and you act ahead to celebrate then that's your problem. When something is not concrete and you're only holding on to their words, don't be hopeful and rely too much because it's not certain yet.

This is the problem of some people who plan and spend ahead even what they count on is still uncertain. It can lead to disappointment and problems if you already act and expect that it will certainly happen. Remember the saying "don't count your chickens before they hatch", it means don't celebrate if you don't see the result yet. Nowadays promises can easily break of people who are not true to their words and though it's a human nature to trust easily, we should still be wise everytime.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is $30 dollars worth starting bitcoin? on: April 24, 2023, 01:21:21 AM
Someone ask me a question after introducing bitcoin to him, if he can start up with $30 and grow with it but I told him bitcoin is wide and high in volume, price and market, that's means whatever you're starting with determine the outcome of the market like for example; if you start with $30 and eventually the market goes up to a little increase of $32 can not be compared with someone who started same time with you, at the rate $100.
If $30 is what he can afford to start investing in Bitcoin, why not? Isn't it good that he just want to try first in small value to experience investing in Bitcoin? It might really different for some investors who started with huge capital but it's not an issue here. What matter is he started his journey regardless of the capital he use to buy, it's the start for him to grasp how it really works. Then he can decide later on if he wants to continue buying more, the market is unstable and there's always a chance to buy Bitcoin if there's a correction.

Just guide him so that he will not be tempted to commit a wrong decision along the way, that's what you can do to help him to be on right path.

983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: April 23, 2023, 09:49:41 AM
As suggested only thing that can be done is through reducing the stake, because we can't be sure of the outcome. With the mentioned odd losing the bet is really unbelievable, but things happen for our bad luck. Maybe this bet loss could be a big learning for more other users who have the mentality to go for high stakes on low odds.
it's quite simple that all types of bets in gambling still depend on luck even though sports betting is famous for the greater luck that you get from analyzing one of the teams, but there will always be surprises in every match. so there's no need to be too greedy for betting large amounts at small odd.
and some people here must think that the guy bet 1.4 million dollars just because of greed.

In gambling, Luck plays a huge part. It is the modifier that dictates the result of the game.  Sports betting being categorized as a skill-based game is still dependent on the chance of things happening.  Like the chance of a player not performing well, a chance of unexpected lapses on players, and the chance of an accidental field goal, there are lots of scenarios where luck can play a huge part to change the course of the game.  Just like what happened in this game where the guy losses 1.4m.  The guy bet on the leading team but the opponent caught up and win.
Indeed. Odds are not only the basis because the result can change unexpectedly if the scenarios that you mentioned happened during the game (in sports betting). Just shows there's no 100% assurance in gambling, so don't bet huge amount if you can't bear losing it incase something went wrong. It's still better to risk a money that you're still fine even you happen to lose it. So before placing a bet always think twice and lower your hopes to not have regrets after since you're prepared regardless of the result.
984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: April 23, 2023, 08:00:04 AM
We've all heard the saying a million times.  Don't gamble more than you can afford to lose.  If you're making a deposit to an online casino and thinking about how much money you're going to get back out, then chances are you're gambling too much money.  People should deposit funds onto casinos to have fun.  Consider it money that you just put into an arcade machine.  You get to play and when it is all over you take the fun with you.  If you did get lucky and manage to win some money, that's a nice bonus, but shouldn't be expected.  You're paying for entertainment, not to get free money back.

You are absolutely right in this matter, it's really hard to gamble if what you have in mind is to win a huge amount of money here, this mindset is not a good habit as a player in a casino.

This is exactly what to gamble to have for fun and not to be your viciousness that is difficult to lose. Because if it was just a hobby eventually it would be a normal game that you didn't need to take seriously. And if you win and this is a bonus we play on the casino platform here in cryptocurrency.
That's true. However many gamblers are playing without having such mindset that they will only play to entertain themselves and it's fine even if they lose. Let's admit that nowadays many gamblers are playing because they have a desire to win, to double their money or hit a jackpot. Greedy to earn instantly and not thinking of the consequences for playing the money that they can't afford to lose, that's not how it should be.

If only gamblers (especially the newbies) were able to control themselves and have no high hopes of winning then it's more fun to gamble since you're playing mainly to entertain yourselves.
985  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: April 23, 2023, 04:57:12 AM
Question to users in this thread: If we do future art contests what kind of changes would you like to see? The last few ones have been super close when winners are decided so I'm thinking that maybe if we lower the 1st/2nd prize a bit and add a 3rd/4th place prize too. I'll also run something by Roobet to see if free spins or free bets can be handed out to anyone who participates just a small thank you for joining. Happy to hear everyone's thoughts on this though!

Believe me everyone would be happy to have such feature. Being consistent participant in the art contest this will bring more motivation to enter every time and show case what we have got. I’m not sure how happy peeps would be with the free spins and stuff but yeah it’s something and better than nothing.

Any participant irrespective of their artwork category, quality or chances of winning; always think that they are in the top list. Sometime that passion loses over the frequent losses. I have myself had this feeling and second thoughts on my own artwork so I can relate it.

This is best decision for sure. Can ignite the spark in many participants one more time.  Cheesy
Yes, you are right, when we never win and keep losing every time we enter a contest, it will kill our enthusiasm to continue participating in the contest. This is not a form of despair, rather it is a feeling that must be possessed by humans. When a contest gives prizes to participants by simply participating in the contest it will really have a positive impact, of course every participant will feel happier because they will definitely feel their work is appreciated, yes even if they don't win, that at least gives them appreciation.
Well said. The thought that your artwork is appreciated already means a lot hence the free spins are a good feature to motivate the contestants to never lose hope because there's still another chance, a next time to showcase their talent. Moreover I agree with so98nn, it's better than nothing because even you lose, you're not empty handed.

Nevertheless if you join in any contest always lower your expectation because even many people compliments you for a well done artwork, the decision is still on the judges and we know they have different taste on what artwork for them did stand out. Well, the winners are all great artists indeed.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take Part in Gambling Lotteries ? on: April 23, 2023, 03:52:54 AM
I take part in lotteries but I usually do not make a lot of hope to win a lottery. Participating n the lottery is the easiest thing but getting a win out of it may be the most difficult thing. By the way, its fun participating in online lotteries.
I don't usually bet in lotteries but I won once in a physical lottery called keno lotto (if you're familiar with it). Yes it's easy to take part but winning is hard because our chances are slim. I never tried yet to play online lotteries though.

What if, I get a chance to participate in a lottery without any investment?
If any gambling site offers, free of cost entry in the lottery, i would definitely not miss that one. Smiley
Many gamblers will participate for sure, who don't want free entry, right? But I think it's not possible since it's a business. They would not give something without getting in return.
987  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: April 23, 2023, 02:30:15 AM
11.107x is the multiplier that many gamblers really dream of getting but unfortunately this is not something you will be able to see and get often because such a lucky player with a $0.1 bet can make his balance into thousands of dollars

Source
I wonder how many spins have been made or money lost before hitting this one. Indeed a huge win from this user, I do think this ind of bet amounts are likely on auto spins as I am doing it in the past as well but haven't got that same multiplier though, a 500x is huge for me how much for a 11kx, that would likely be the greatest win I could ever imagine and would take more spins again before hitting it. Congrats to this winner.
The best moment to win is having such a small bet then you'll hit a high multiplier that makes you win huge amount, really amazing. Let's set aside how much he already lost because certainly he probably get those back (or somehow closer) after this win. Anyway, another player got lucky to hit a 12,864x multiplier with $0.1 bet on Blender Blitz slot.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: April 23, 2023, 12:27:52 AM
In gambling, profit is not guaranteed hence it is not a good idea to set an amount to earn daily. Often, gamblers are losing their money than winning, that's why it's not advisable to treat gambling as your source to earn money.

You can try different strategies but none of them are proven to be effective in the long run. Anyway, you mentioned that you tried it before (earning daily through gambling), so what games are you actually playing? If you experienced it already then you know better if it's really possible or just a desire. Nevertheless, gamble responsibly by using only the money that you can live without.
989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: April 21, 2023, 06:15:16 AM
for those short-term players, they would definitely have sold a lot of them when they reached a relative high and if the prices continue to drop, they will probably buy a lot and wait for the next ATH. Too realistic, huh ? Yes. I have come to understand that no matter how you seem to be loyal to one particular cryptocurrency, as long as there seems to be a huge profit, you will sell to gain profit instead of holding a pipe dream. I have no judgement here and try to tell the truth. Personally, if I had that chance to cash for profits, I would do the same. What about you ?
We have different strategy to maximize our profit. I'm a long term hodler but i'm not stopping myself to take profit at times especially if the value is decent enough to do so. This is to enjoy some of my earnings and I don't see anything wrong with that.

Well, if you envy others who managed to take advantage the price increase, why are you refraining yourself to sell? Do what you think is beneficial to you. You can always buy back once the price is turning down anyway. But there are coins that indeed good to hold for long term if you want to be a real huge gainer.
990  Local / Pilipinas / Re: For how many years ngayon lang ulit nag balik sa bitcoin world on: April 21, 2023, 03:17:47 AM

Anyway welcome back sayo kabayan.
991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advise to a friend on: April 21, 2023, 01:15:04 AM
So should I go ahead and advise him to buy Bitcoin or I should leave him to come to me himself? Because he will buy it if I ask him to.
As you've said, your friend already had an experience investing in altcoins and unfortunately the two alts didn't go well. What's his reaction after knowing the result? Did he blame the one who convinced him to invest? If no, then I will help him to invest if he is interested.

Well, for me, since he already experienced investing in crypto before and likely aware of the risk especially if you happen to choose a wrong coins, then I will encourage him to why not choose Bitcoin this time. It is risky as well but compared to investing in alts, we know Bitcoin is way better and ideal for long term hodling. The good thing about this is, he is not a newbie that is clueless about crypto investment. Educate him further then let him decide on his own.
992  Economy / Economics / Re: Look for what to invest, not what to eat on: April 20, 2023, 10:05:53 AM
Is it a good thing to invest or is good to continue looking for what to eat?
What do you think.
Looking for what to eat is the priority. How can you think of investing if you don't have something in your plate? To invest, it's a must that you're having enough of what you need as a human being and able to provide as well for the needs of your family. If you're already stable in that matter then investing can come next.

Saving and investing are important to have something to count on in the future that's already given. However, we must also attend to what is needed now in order for us to survive especially that inflation is inevitable.
993  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: BAGONG SHITCOINS on: April 20, 2023, 08:06:33 AM

994  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading good for beginners? on: April 20, 2023, 01:16:21 AM
Trading is not a get-rich-quick scheme. Most beginners usually want immediate gratification, hence, they venture into crypto trading with little or no knowledge at all. I don't think people who are just starting our in crypto should engage in trading.

They should get a good understanding of the concept before they begin trading. This would obviously take quite a lot of time but it would be worth all the mistakes and errors in the future. Information is power.
Indeed. Some people think it's easy to become a trader and you can earn huge in instant, not aware how risky it is. Knowledge is vital in trading, trying to trade without knowledge is like going to a war without a gun since you don't have idea of what you're getting into. It's likely that you'll only lose your money because you missed the basic steps that a trader should do before starting.

Thus, for newbies, if you'd like to become a trader then learn to fill your mind with knowledge and don't rush. Because it takes time and that is when you are already aware of the things to know (trading strategies, technical analysis, self control etc.) and able to understand the market flow.
995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 19, 2023, 05:32:19 AM
I’m looking to invest 10k, I’m trying to decide if to go with XRP or ADA.
You have a decent capital to invest in just 2 coins.
Why did you choose XRP and ADA? For me XRP is not a good coin to hold for long term because of the case while ADA is not bad but I prefer to add more coins in my portfolio aside from these coins.

It would be better to invest your money to few more altcoins that has good future like ETH and BNB, this is to minimize the risk. So for long term include Bitcoin ETH, BNB and the 2 coins of your choice then allocate some to a coins that you think has potential or might be a hidden gem.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you lose on slots? on: April 19, 2023, 03:05:05 AM
But generally, if you play for 50 spins then you don't get any big wins, triggered the features, free spins, scatter, or even wild win, on most of your sessions then better switch careers as gambling it's 100% not for you, simple as that.
Or you can try other games aside from slots. Maybe your luck is not in slots but in other casino games like poker, live games or skills based like sports betting. There are many choices hence if you're not lucky in slots why stick to it?

In my experience playing slots, most of the time my funds are turning negative, I didn't had a chance to win huge. So I tried other games (Baccarat live) and that's where I find myself winning somehow. Anyway, whatever games you play, always have discipline so you can control yourself regardless of the result of your bet.
997  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: April 19, 2023, 01:33:34 AM
but a mere $11,000, what is $11,000 compared to $1.4 million dollars?
We must be wise in managing gambling funds and must be able to control ourselves from greed, many gamblers experience high losses due to emotional factors and greed to win bets.
That's true. It's not worth to risk millions just to win $11k. Greed and the over confidence that the result would be on his favor are the mistakes that he committed and can't turn back anymore because it happened already.

The reason why it's important to keep in mind that gambling is risky and the outcome is not guaranteed. So don't risk your money if you can't bear facing losses incase the result is not what you expected it to be.
998  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No late comer in bitcoin Investment. on: April 18, 2023, 08:54:08 AM
I understand the concern about the price of Bitcoin being high, but I think it's important to remember that Bitcoin is a long-term investment. Just like any other investment, there will be ups and downs, but over time, the value has consistently grown. So, if you're willing to hold onto your investment for a while, there's a good chance you'll see a return on your investment.
The reason why it is important to have knowledge about what you are getting into to understand the cycle and the nature of Bitcoin. It's understandable to have worries and doubts for new investors because they're thinking it's already late to join the ride. However, if you study how it works then you'll realize that it's not really late if you're going to be a long term hodler.

Thus, while the bullrun is not here yet, take advantage the current price to have some Bitcoin. Because we'll never know when might the price will start to skyrocket.
999  Economy / Gambling / Re: Positive Gambling Quotes for 2023! on: April 18, 2023, 04:24:16 AM
Quote
Gambling is not about how well you play the games, it’s really about how well you handle your money.

I find this quote very interesting because it talks about money management. It reminds me of a story I read on the internet . How a cabbage collector became rich by winning a national lottery of about £9.7M and after 10 years he became broke because he did not put the money he won into good use but squandered it on drugs, drinks, clubbing, partying and women.
I also saw a similar story from a documentary here wherein a man became an instant millionaire after winning in a lottery. The winning amount is good enough to live comfortably in his lifetime but just like your story, he spent the money in not important things with many friends around him taking advantage his generosity. He managed to buy lots but sold it later on after suffering from his illness.

It's really true that if the money didn't came from your own hard work, it's easy to spend it. Because you'll value more your money if it's the fruit of your hard work. Well, I think it still depends for each person on how you manage your money and be wise enough to spend it accordingly.
1000  Economy / Gambling / Re: $100 to $2519 on Strikebits.com today! on: April 18, 2023, 12:58:01 AM
New poster here, just wanted to share the winnings from my session today on a new casino as I'd like to leave a good review. I deposited $100 to start with and proceeded to hit a few 20x multipliers on $5 bets getting me up to around $370. I then waited for red streaks of 4 or more and then martingaled it all the way up to $2800 then went down to $2519 when I cashed out.
It's likely you're part of the team and trying to attract the gamblers to also play on that site. Tell them to create an ANN thread here so everyone can see if their site is really legit and not a shady casino.

it's a scam.
I make withdrawal and they not pay..... Angry
How much is your deposit and what games did you play? This casino is pretty new but already have this kind of accusation. It's better for gamblers to stay away on this site.
