A forum modification could remove all poster information so you could only see the post content.
That would be a terrible idea! It will basically turn the forum into a random collection of anything on the internet. I want to read posts that are likely to be worth my time, and a username helps to make a first selection.

Well, then you wouldn't be forced to use the mod.  Smiley
1722  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: October 23, 2020, 09:57:44 PM
Honestly, merit should be for good posts ONLY and that's it. People shouldn't think to whom they will send merits, they should rather focus on posts.

A forum modification could remove all poster information so you could only see the post content.

Don't play videogames but a big graphics card is better than no or crap graphics card right?

No.  A bigger graphics card will mean the infrastructure to handle it at full blast - more power, more cooling - even if you don't use it.  Why pay for all that?

Stock graphic cards are more than enough for a casual gamer.

Goodbye Lauda.  Sad

I know you are still watching from the shadows, but will not come when called.

Hope to experience you again in my club.

1726  Economy / Reputation / Re: OGNasty - trust abuse on: October 22, 2020, 08:29:06 PM
The sociopath strikes again! Sad

Add ~ognasty to your trust settings to exclude him. Another obvious case of, "push this idiot off DT, almost there..."

No one provided any evidence at all...  Sad
1727  Economy / Reputation / Re: In re #18321 “OgNasty” on: October 22, 2020, 08:15:43 PM
Mr Nasty, I think it’s outrageous that Vod has prevented you from answering the accusation in his self-moderated locked thread.  How cowardly and despicable

Just ask him where the thousands of coins in his ponzi went when pirate shut a different ponzi down.   He won't answer, because he considers them his.

Long before he took Theymos' word out of context in his negative trust and then claimed he didn't, many people have staked their honest reputations to show he is a sociopath.

Nothing more needs to be said.

Yet we keep giving him attention.  :/
1728  Economy / Reputation / OGNasty - trust abuse on: October 22, 2020, 12:25:13 AM
This idiot Mr. OG left me a negative feedback rating twisting the words of the Administrator.

I urge anyone who cares about the trust network to add ~OGNasty to their trust settings in order to exclude this abuser of the trust network.

Following the idiot's example, this thread is self moderated and locked
1729  Economy / Reputation / Re: Vod is a liar. Get him out of DT! on: October 22, 2020, 12:21:29 AM
I'm still here - working on blockchain tools for the club, for the SEC and for justice.

I have the idiot on ignore as I don't need any more info from him and everyone knows how dishonest he is..  Soon he may announce he is leaving the forum due to covid, and I will post the article showing his arrest.  Until that time, he'll continue to lie about not being audited.

1730  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: A Blockchain Based Multi-User Roguelike Game on: October 20, 2020, 05:41:49 PM
By having a fresh blockchain to work with I can allocate premined coins to players that earn them for playing.

Thousands of projects have a "fresh blockchain".  :/

Premined coins usually indicate a pump and dump.  Where is your income coming from to assign value to these coins?

1731  Other / Meta / Re: Here Can't discuss any inteligent way on: October 17, 2020, 09:05:41 PM
I don't think he goes about making his points in the best fashion, but how do we know that some of his points are wrong without rational discussion?

The language translation of his technical ideas could restrict his ability to express himself.   Maybe his ideas are so radical they sound stupid.

What if I said there will be a major shift to private fertilization in a few years?

1732  Other / Serious discussion / Re: GPG for Windows remembers passwords or not? on: October 17, 2020, 04:10:55 PM
This works fine on Linux, but I need to also get something working on Windows using batch scripts. That's easily doable, but I need to know if there's also gpg-connect-agent for Windows, or if plain old gpg for Windows caches the passwords or doesn't remember them. I really don't want it to remember any passwords I type, that's why I'm asking this.

Why not use Lastpass?   It stores everything encrypted, and it's free for both OS.
1733  Other / Meta / Re: Here Can't discuss any inteligent way on: October 17, 2020, 10:22:30 AM
We can't stop you from leaving forum. If that's your final decision, then we respect it and wish you a good life Smiley

That's an excellent example of why KYC is needed.

If we knew this person's identity, we could find a way to stop him from leaving.

Sad
1734  Other / Off-topic / Re: Artificial Intelligence (AI); Pros and Cons. on: October 17, 2020, 01:30:05 AM
Someone needs to make a more realistic movie about the day the robots destroy mankind so that the average person can have a better understanding of the dangers.

What about I-Robots? I feel that is more realistic even a single machine can mess up the whole thing and humans cannot compete against it without help of the same kind of machine.

Thinking robots will destroy mankind is like believing AI growth or climate change is linear - it shows lack of forward thinking.

An AI doesn't need to construct a mobile weapon to kill humanity.  In the time it takes you to read this, the AI has found the best way to destroy all matter while leaving all data intact.

MY CONCLUSION: I think AI should only be used when ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY. This may create some sort of balance and allow more natural/human intelligence. It may also reduce laziness among humans and even improve out-of-the-box thinking.

How would you put the genie back in the bottle?

Once the AI accesses the web, it is us that may be allowed to live only when absolutely necessary.
1735  Other / Meta / Re: Here Can't discuss any inteligent way on: October 17, 2020, 01:13:00 AM
In this Forum Can't talk about things anymore inteligent ways.
Too. Many Old members playing like they Don't know no point to talk about nothing.

It's not the old members - we were typing intelligent things while you were still suckling.

The new members - the ones in it just for the money, are the ones that turn every intelligent thread into garbage.

I did merit you for your first point though.

1737  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Arcane Arcade -- Looking for feedback on: October 15, 2020, 02:15:06 AM
I am working on Arcane Arcade (http://staging.arcanearcade.io/), an online store where you can buy video games with Bitcoin (or Monero). For developers, they get their payment directly to their coin wallets. They provide Steam keys or direct download of their installers.

Steam will let you take away their revenue like that?
1738  Economy / Reputation / Warning about PrintMule on: October 15, 2020, 01:47:07 AM
He/she sent me a PM yesterday saying they had restored their account and would like me to remove the negative trust.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=113333

They signed an old message using a properly staked address, but when I asked them to sign a message with today's date, they replied they could not access their wallet.
1739  Economy / Reputation / Re: List of things Vod has done wrong. (Non-modded / Non-affiliated thread) on: October 14, 2020, 10:12:59 PM
^^ If anything you are writing is true, post it in the official thread, where it will not be deleted.  Smiley
1740  Other / Meta / Re: Project Development board change? on: October 12, 2020, 07:04:13 PM
Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea in that board as it's potentially dealing with money, but they get reported and nuked pretty fast so probably doesn't matter too much.

It does matter, because if their post doesn't break any rules, it will stay up and newbies will contact them.

The trust numbers should be shown.
