It isn't an issue in small amounts in my opinion. It's the users that have exchanged hundreds of merits back and forth that are a real serious threat to the system here. I've gone on record multiple times as saying there should be a 50 merit cap on what any 1 user can send to another over the lifetime of the account.
DT1 Alt account merit swapping: https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=OgNasty&from=Rmcdermott927 (35) https://bpip.org/smerit.aspx?to=Rmcdermott927&from=OgNasty (24) The fifty merit limits works great if you want to spread your merits around for influence and power. But many profiles here (myself included) continue to think of new ideas, so a merit cap is not needed.

Can you provide any proof of those statements, such as an engineering degree?
Yes, I can as well as my CV and LinkedIn profile page. I see you sitting there confused. Post a pic of your engineering degree, or lock this thread. Simple.

The problem with automated escrows is that a majority of escrow requests I receive are for items that can be charged back.
If you use an alt account to escrow, you're not getting any escrow protection at all. You used to use Rmcdermott927 a lot for your escrows, until he was outed as your alt. I'd suggest you take your stolen coin and stop trying to scam others. OP - A new escrow service involving human thieves is not needed. Automated escrow is coming.

Can you provide any proof of those statements, such as an engineering degree?

I want to giveaway some bitcoin to remind people that when bears walk free small bulls start to show up.
So why do you need permission / approval from the members here? Just do it. If you are going to require an action before they get your bitcoin, sign a message from an address holding funds so we know we're not wasting our time.

Aren't those profiles usually granted the merit source status? Maybe it's time for a new round of them... Merit sources are a political appointment. I'm saying people who invent things need more merit to award those they help.

Please check other loans here. People loan lets say 0.1 and pay back 0.105 or whatever, most of them without collateral. At least I offer something in return compared to others.
Check what other criminals do - most kill you so you can't identify then. You seem honorable - when robbing me, do you promise to only wound? Promise?

I believe the OP was referring to the best of the overall bitcoin community. Further, I believe he's going to launch a "top" site, a directory, or some other kind of garbage that plagued the late 90s and can instantly be destroyed by bpip or Loyce. Or if he's not smart enough to "html", just collecting a list of gullible chesty bitcoiners. For all we know he could define a hero as someone who supports him or his sponsors. Let's all hold our breath on this one, but don't send him a PM.

Other countries should do good culture also
Movies became popular as a way to escape the horrors of reading about the war across the world. In Europe and elsewhere, people were not as isolated as the Americas, so they focused on things like survival while HollyWood grew. Today, most of the top culture comes from Asia - "top" meaning the most people who enjoy it. You may not like it because of culture differences, but do you care if an elderly man shakes his fist at your rock and roll? The US was first, but today they only produces movies/TV for a shrinking audience - us.

I don't have any sMerits left, so here is a virtual *high five*!
Once a profile has identified themselves as bringing value to the community (other than posting for personal gain) they should receive a merit "stipend" to hand out to those who help them bring the value.

Every halving, miners are less incentivized to mine, but every halving, a new equilibrium is found. I don't expect this to be a problem when (decades from now) transaction fees are the main source of income for miners.
Miners are not less incentivized to mine after a halving. The system was designed to compensate miners with transaction fees as bitcoin grows The problem is people are impatient. More coin being moved means longer confirm times. So we fork btc to make it faster, and that is what reduces incentive to mine. We take away their highwall toll booth because the drivers complain the queue is too long, and the people paying for the highway move to more profitable enviroments.

at this moment mister jollygood is giving negative tags without any reasons and has a big negative obsession for adkinsbet as well
Are you claiming to understand what is going on in his head? If you're going to make a scam accusation - think about what you write. When I read things like "without any reasons" or "everything is 100% a lie" it's an indication you have a weak/no actual argument and need to cast a very wide net.

English is not the OP's primary language. I would suggest that by "Hero" he meant those who have succeeded in bitcoin - not the literal term the forum assigns us.

OP, I've given up caring about the DT system since the rotation system started. It used to mean something huge if you were even a DT2 member. Now it's nothing special, really.
Theymos has never made the lottery provably fair, so it is possible he can manipulate it - it's still centralized, just more randomized. In this scenario he would be trying different setups and analyzing effects, to eventually replace the randomness with more stability. Otherwise, what's the point? Opposite to your quoted post, I've actually started caring more about my trust list recently. I realized I was ignoring the good to focus on the bad; the best way to kill the plague is to support the cats and let them kill the rats.

No, I will keep the Legendary Members on the waiting list. Do not worry about my account as you can see I am just a member. But you know, that you do not know me. So please do not underestimate my credit upfront. I am wating to read PM from 1000 Bitcoin Hero Members.
It would be silly to support a list of Legendary members from anyone other than a Legendary+ member. OP has relatively no clue about anything other than our public stats. :/

I just HAPPENED to be crossing this subsection today and I just HAPPENED to come across this old thread. Thought I should clear up some things here even though this might not be the appropriate thread for it.. but still.. I really don't care deeply enough about this.
Keep up the good fight @Vod
This is the correct thread. Opened by OgNasty to deflect against his loss/embezzlement of thousands of bitcoins. Any evidence supporting the community conclusion is unnecessary, but wanted and anticipated by others who he has scammed. I too am bored of him, but I still have the long burden of clearing my name. So I'll just repeat "Look to my signature" whenever that idiot contradicts himself yet again. Thanks sir - you are a true legend.

You said corporation will expire in a few days, now you are still saying corporation is not real.
I'm sorry if I was unclear. Your website linked to a corporation that was about to be suspended because you didn't submit the requested documents. Both your statements are true. I do not have a paid signature, so I'm only posting to warn others you are a liar.
