I listed my site on http://mybitcommerce.org/ - the process was really streamlined and easy.

Edd: how does one get listed on your site? The contact page is empty and I'm not ready to start paying for ad space yet. Smiley

Use the contact page to email me your info and I'll list your site, usually within a few hours. Be as desciptive as you want and include an image, if you'd like.

I started The Bitcoin List a few days ago and am adding sites as time permits.

Here's hoping we don't swamp TradeHill with overwhelming traffic when it's just getting started.

I received this email today.  I don't know if it was due to them finally getting to my email(s) or seeing the the discussion in these forums.

These funds have been reprocessed and should be in your account shortly. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your patience.

Not in my account yet, but frankly I would expect that if they just reprocessed.

So you got a response in less than 48 hours from your initial email? I'd say that's pretty good compared to most "professional" businesses.
1748  Other / Off-topic / Re: What does Mt Gox stand for? on: June 08, 2011, 11:32:13 AM
better question is why do they take such high commission

The market can obviously bear it.

Some competition would be nice, however.
1749  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Selling worms and worm castings on: June 08, 2011, 11:30:33 AM
bumping this because there has been some interest and it is easier to harvest worms once (why most worm farms only ship once a week). If you haven't tried worm composting you should -- it's not smelly, worms double in population about every 8 weeks until they stabilize, and you can literally turn all your junk mail and food scraps into one of the highest nutrient soil amendments possible.

A little info on composting might help your sales. Do you have  a website?

Coming Soon ... BitLoins - Bitcoins for meat carvings

I think that name would be better suited to a sperm bank.  Cheesy

Wow, got online today to see BTC trading at $17+. Wasn't expecting that so soon.

Prices slashed yet again!

(Won't do it again unless BTC falls below $12 or rises above $20.)

Well, that didn't take long.

New prices.
1752  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religious Orientation on: June 07, 2011, 01:09:06 AM

How do you know he isn't there anymore? You're making a few assumptions that this God doesn't have or want a relationship with it's creation. And once again that a divine being has to obey to the rules that created the tangible universe.

If he was still there, I could have evidence that he was there. As long as I don't have evidence, he's of course not there.

We don't always see everything, even when it's right in front of us.  Lack of evidence does not mean failure of a theory.  That requires counter evidence.

A theory that can't be tested isn't a theory.

Perhaps you're thinking of a hypothesis. Merriam-Webster's definition (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/theory) makes no mention of testability.  Besides, proving something is untestable is it's own can of worms.

You are correct, I was using the "layman's" definition of theory, which is much closer to a scientific hypothesis. The reason I used it, however, is because it seemed to be the definition you were using; the definition you linked to makes no mention of evidence, either.

What are you considering, moa? Ads aimed at ne'er-do-wells, a Bitcoin educational campaign, or something else entirely?

My favorite: http://bitbrew.net/

Hey, that's my favorite, too!
All three websites are yours? Great job!

The owner/operator of The Bitcoin Sun is anonymous, but AFAIK edd isn't the owner Smiley

That's right, I'm just doing my part to promote an excellent Bitcoin publication but I'm not affiliated in any way. BitBrew and The Bitcoin List are mine, though.  Smiley

I'm not sure I would equate "Bitcoin promotion" with philanthropy. I do believe bitcoins are the perfect vehicle for philanthropic projects, however.
