1761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Careful With Your Slot Activity! on: July 07, 2022, 02:31:45 PM
That's going to be a life-changer for him. It wouldn't be recovered unless you invested in it again. I believe your neighbor will continue to gamble in the hopes of getting that "jackpot" that they want from playing slots. He needs to understand that luck isn't forced or something. It should be well-taken care of on how much they should risk. I hope he somehow understands the risk more and more and what his family has done to rescue him from his debt.

You shouldn't gamble on slots if you are risking loaned money. Not someone else's money because it will be wrong and probably give you bad luck.
1762  Other / Meta / Re: weird pm received on: July 07, 2022, 07:34:34 AM
Do you think that newalias tried to check every DT member who has security questions? Then PM-ed them accordingly? I don't have a security question for this so that's probably why I didn't receive a PM.

Attempting to answer the security questions will automatically lock your account, because they were leaked with the rest of the DB back in 2015.
Members after that time when it was leaked are safe? Is that correct?
1763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was the coupling of Bitcoin to fiat a mistake? on: July 06, 2022, 05:33:05 AM
The critical thing about things like these is understanding the part where you need to stay away from fiat and conserve the value of your money. It's like Robert Kiyosaki is saying that "saving money" would make your money less valuable instead of investing it with the right assets, and Bitcoin can be that help. However, you still should accept the volatility of it its price movements.

It's better to understand that first before anything else.
1764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt-coin do you trust the most? on: July 06, 2022, 03:33:06 AM
~snip
We can do better and do the sell option if we are not greedy. Many people got to miss it right because of the greediness that lives inside and the reason why they instead sell during the peak season but still hold and wait for more until the sunset comes. Many people lose their opportunities and yet they blame the market which in fact that was their fault.
Thus, if we are able to perform just like OP and choose the right coin for investment, we are getting rich in the future but unfortunately, not.
That's the thing, we don't know if we are right on time to sell the certain asset. Imagine being able to sell it even 100x more than the others. There are a lot of other opportunities that might be missed or something. It's better to have control and manage your risks accordingly. You cannot expect the market to go according to your plan so, it's better to just make the most out of it.
1765  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is it trust system abuse to increase Trust Score by Dabs? on: July 06, 2022, 03:03:42 AM
It’s not about feedback. You can check my thread. I have already pointed that their feedback to each other makes sense because Dabs is providing escrow service and they may have a lot of trades. Feedbacks are normal in my opinion too.
Sorry that wasn't supposed to be my intention to focus on feedback. I was just wondering about the certain references that it has. There's no reference to others.

But we are talking about the trust list inclusion. You must not include a lot of people sent you positive feedback. It's kind of increasing your own trust score by including anyone who left you positive feedback. Is it abuse? Whatever it is but it's not good.
I think that's the choice of the person right, in this case, Dabs. And if he wants to use it that way, he can. That's just from the way I see it. It's up to others to distrust I guess if they think they are up to no good and could really abuse the trust.
1766  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is it trust system abuse to increase Trust Score by Dabs? on: July 05, 2022, 04:38:18 PM
I don't think it's trust abuse, though. If there is a basis on why they would trust each other, then it's not abuse. I'm worried about the references; upon checking, it seems like it's with these members.

I'm not sure if that's okay or something. It probably depends, but some of it is old, too though.
1767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will DOGE go back to sub $0.01 prices ever again? on: July 05, 2022, 02:25:19 PM
It has been a downtrend, and there are a lot of people who have lost a lot of money with this, and people have probably started losing their trust in cryptocurrencies "again". I hope they find a way to do it again, and maybe, in the long run, they will be happy that they invested again. It is one of the best buying opportunities out there, with all the coins.

As for DOGE, it has been a great run for it knowing how Elon Musk managed to make it to the moon, and many people have emerged millionaires because of it unless you diamond-handed it. It will be hard not to regret something you didn't take advantage of. We will never know how much it could change in the short term, but it will be best if you believe in it for a long time. As long as someone believes in it, it can go up.

More hype to it, probably?
1768  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin users, are your withdrawals okay? on: July 05, 2022, 09:39:08 AM
~snip
I very much agree. Kucoin has become my favorite exchange after Bittrex before Bittrex became scammers similar to HitBTC. However, better to be safe and withdraw all your coins from centralized exchanges. I do not care if your exchange is the biggest and most trusted exchange similar to Binance, FTX, Coinbase or Kraken.
That would depend on why you are on the exchange in the first place. If you are interested in profiting with trading, being there with the trusted exchanges is the best way because they have the most volume with trading and if you have a trading bot that could trade in all of them, even better  Wink
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt-coin do you trust the most? on: July 05, 2022, 06:55:40 AM
What a great way to earn with what you did. You just invested at the right time and sold at the right time. Much money has flown into cryptocurrencies in those years, so it's great that you have profited more than triple your initial investment. I think you shouldn't forget that feeling because you can probably use it again and have the capacity to satisfy likewise if you believe in a particular coin of your choosing.

I think averaging your entries with the asset could significantly increase your chances of profiting more from it.
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inherited gambling on: July 05, 2022, 02:15:11 AM
I think, in general, it's harder for people to stop their addiction when it's genetic. Most of the time, they will always come back to what makes them happy or what makes them feel fulfilled or something. It will be hard to overcome that, but that's just how you will know how strong the person is with willpower.

Comparing them to someone who has just gotten into the habit it's doing it is challenging. I think there's no significant difference.
1771  Economy / Economics / Re: Uganda’s gold discovery: What it could mean for crypto !!! on: July 04, 2022, 03:45:02 PM
There's a big difference between Gold and BTC, but in terms of the function it gives to people, I think it's quite the same. Being a store of value makes it valuable to the people who want to keep the value of their money and possibly increase their wealth with the increased price of the said asset.

If we are talking bout the influx of possible new money coming in because of the gold, it could be an influx of cash.
1772  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kucoin users, are your withdrawals okay? on: July 04, 2022, 06:39:38 AM
Sam Bankman-Fried is one of the guys who would know if one exchange is insolvent or not. Imagine saving the butts of Voyager and BlockFi just to make amends with all of the crypto community. It will not be a good one if he lets it die. The insolvent exchanges probably asked for help from the FTX founder and told them that it would be hard for them and ask for help.

I'm going to be sad if that's KuCoin; I have known them for a while, but that's probably how it works, and they probably have reached max optimal loaning or something like that and made it insolvent.
1773  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto Firm Voyager Temporarily Suspends Withdrawals, Deposits, and Trading !!! on: July 04, 2022, 02:47:01 AM
Since it's temporary, I think it's going to be okay. Sam from FTX has saved their butts to make sure that they are still above-board on this. It's just that they are having a hard time probably recouping and managing their losses. I do hope that this wouldn't be a downplay towards the cryptocurrency scene because it's going to be a hard ride TBH.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Types of Bonuses Offered by Online Casinos on: July 03, 2022, 05:12:05 PM
I think the welcome bonuses are the most common with the gambling industry because they want to give the most special welcome to those who have been able to start their journey on their platform. Of course that would be the enticing thing towards what they are going go through with the added bonus that they could probably take advantage of. It's going to be the usual thing that gamblers experience on the first time they try the platform.

The loyalty bonuses come from the amount of time they spend on the platform right? And not just the level that they have on their account?
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 03, 2022, 10:06:15 AM
I'm sorry for your loss in that game. You probably were using the martingale strategy or something related to that sense? You just had a bad run that made it to the point of continuous losses. Some people have been successful with that because they somehow modified it or have less or more percentage to win, but it doesn't directly move-in according to the same strategy.

Don't ever gamble on something you are unwilling to lose because you will feel lost and sad with what you incurred.
1776  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Websites to check withdrawal fee and transaction fee on: July 02, 2022, 10:31:19 AM
I have been looking for something like this for a while, and it has been easy to use because of the summarized thing per coin, but that's all there is to it. People would probably use this as a comparison of what cheapest rate per exchange you will withdraw in. Like comparing the withdrawal fee that you will incur with BTC to a coin like ADA, it's cheaper than some rates.

I hope the exchanges you are in should have a summarized list like this.

https://www.binance.com/en/fee/cryptoFee

That way, it would be easy. I don't think it's a significant factor in comparing the different exchanges' withdrawal fees when choosing the exchange you will be in. But it's a summary of how much an exchange wants from you,
1777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH gas fees are low....A great time to get in? on: July 02, 2022, 09:58:27 AM
It seems that the persistent bear market drastically reduced ETH's network congestion. Gas fees have been ranging as low as 17 Gwei to 30 Gwei on average. The native cryptocurrency Ether (ETH) has been declining like crazy in Fiat terms, so it would be a lot cheaper to buy NFTs or do other network operations than before.
It is definitely the time to mint your NFTs if you have one because I remember that it took me at least $30 just to mint an NFT that I created and it's just the start of the NFT era at that time and the fees are definitely high. If you have to have to enter the ETH network, then this is it.

Assuming ETH doesn't go any lower in price, would now be a great time to get in? Or should I wait a little longer? Do you think gas fees will soar back up again after the crypto winter settles? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
I think if you have spare money to buy more ETH and then have the space amount of risk that you are going to deal with, it can be a great risk. Just remember that it can go in the opposite direction that you have in mind knowing that it can go either direction. Just make sure to manage your risks.
1778  Economy / Speculation / Re: “When” Will Bitcoin Price Break $69k All Time High? on: July 02, 2022, 03:24:20 AM
~snip

It's probably just a random numbers, perhaps just wanted to predict higher than the last all time high.
That's not random numbers if you know the culture of it. Most of the internet personalities and even Elon Musk have always been saying 69 420 in his tweets etc. It's just that meme type of humor thing that everyone likes and just posts for laughs. It would be fun to make true though.

~snip
And that's what makes crypto market very exciting, we don't know what the future holds. You just buy in the bear market and hold and hope that something big will happen in the next bull run. And it's going to be worth that wait when we see a price like in the 6 digits.
I think it's always going to be a minimum of 3 years or something. I thought of this because of how long should people would hold to profit.
1779  Economy / Speculation / Re: “When” Will Bitcoin Price Break $69k All Time High? on: July 02, 2022, 02:10:22 AM
That 69 420 aim is just really something that makes me laugh. Maybe all the significant numbers around the cryptocurrency market would be hit. After 420, it would be 666??

Having said all that, no one can know the future and wouldn't know the other coins' perspective because it somehow impacts BTC price because they are the ones inviting the new people over as well.

It is still the start; we just have to wait for it. Even CZ cannot predict it.
1780  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom? on: July 01, 2022, 08:39:08 AM
How the heck would you know that it's the bottom? I know they are significant players in the cryptocurrency scene, and they have a lot of BTC in their belt; it just doesn't make sense that it's nowhere going to be near the bottom or something.

Your topic doesn't have any complete sense. It's nowhere near the bottom, so are you saying that those who bought at $19000 are the indicators?

Or you are saying that since people are still buying at $19000, there is still a chance people are still selling at that price, right?
