1761  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake Balance Glitch on: September 30, 2023, 07:39:07 PM
So you are on automatic betting with Plinko? Usually, it's just a display glitch, or maybe your browser just needs refreshing or something. I hope you were able to catch that on camera or screenshot it so that they would be able to check and it wouldn't repeat to other members.

There is a possibility on this as suggested. So you have to first check on your history to see if it was recorded and if you see it there as recorded while you didn't trigger it by yourself then it might be you need to let CS know about it, it could be the automatic betting so either you deactivate it or they help you with resolving it. Well if you don't understand what is happening you can still get to support. Hope you get it resolved before playing again.
1762  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino repeated live payout results on: September 30, 2023, 06:14:51 PM
That is slot game and your doubts is nothing to worry about. Maybe you can reveal what casino you took the screenshot from so that users can also do a check on that but I think there is no concerns about manipulation from just the screenshot you displayed, if you could drop the casino that will help to check if they are manipulated but the shots are not unusual.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons you should not gamble on too many things at once. on: September 30, 2023, 12:23:42 PM
If you have the habit of playing and gambling on different sports and game, I think it is not good because of some few reasons like;
YOU WILL SPEND MORE MONEY ON GAMBLING.

I think whether you play more games or one game, if you will spend more money you would because one game still doesn't have guarantee for winning so if you lose you can still want to repeat it and again again which might still be loses. Having control of our emotion is what works.

YOU CAN BECOME MORE EASILY ADDICTED THAN A GAMBLER WHO PLAYS ONLY ONE GAME.

Not really.

YOUR CHANCES OF LOOSING WILL INCREASE, BUT YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING MAY NOT INCREASE.

Maybe possible because much games could limit the winning chance like they say out of twelve, there will be a Judas.

YOU WILL SPEND MORE TIME GAMBLING.

Not really, like I said it depends on the control you have, playing more games or single game isn't a guarantee .

But over all, gambling all the time can lead to being an addict but it doesn't depend on different sports we play but how much control we have.
1764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: September 30, 2023, 10:26:47 AM
What you just stated here does not affect the risk management of individuals in gambling. The government enforcing restriction to gamblers is not because of their willingness to 'help' the gambler control their funds, but instead it's because of them wanting to curb the addiction of the gambler while it's still on its early stages. It has nothing to do with risk management but rather prevention of further damage to already-addicted individuals looking to change their ways.

Part of other reasons that government could want to place restrictions on gambling is also for the purpose of licensing and tax collection on the casinos. The government like to have data base of what is under them for easy accessibility for them during their periodic verification and accountability. So the age of those gambling isn't just all about the restrictions, it is a total package of who gets what and who does what.
1765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Youth Gambling on: September 29, 2023, 08:31:23 PM

Actually youth are more attracted towards bad activities because they have no life experience and they cannot make difference of opinions in valuable and invaluable efforts.

But to defend the youth on this regards to being attracted to bad activities, it is not only about the youths on this, it is what is found in all human life, human tend to learn the bad faster than the good. So for the youth, they need proper guide because they are not experienced like the adult who knows bad and how to get out of it or how to stop. So the youth need follow up so that they won't go astray in life and ruin it .
1766  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much pressure on the male child on: September 29, 2023, 07:32:12 PM

Now the training in the home has shifted to both genders,  now you see a boy child doing so well in the kitchen while handling other tasks allocated to them by the parent, The same goes for the female child whose father gives her all the training needed to survive life pressure where she need to play the role of a man because we have some single mothers who are 100% responsible for the kids so the financial burden falls on the woman who is a girl child,  so society is changing and the world is beginning to view things in a different dimension.

Yeah quite alot have changed in societies and countries because the only thing that is permanent is change and because change is transient, the forces of change must act upon it and modernity as one of the agent has really changed the gender and even duties based on sex. These days women are bread winners and even feeding the men or supporting them to take care of the home front. We don't need to be stagnant and gnash our teach on the hardship from the government, we need to give equal opportunity to both the boy child and the girl child because roles have really been altered and a female can turn out to be a bread winner. In the past in Africa, you only see male that are professionals in career like engineering, medicine, law etc but today the female are even more in all those professional fields of life . So the only thing that is constant is change, we can change our lives to the angle we want it to be driven to if we believe and make effort towards it.
1767  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much pressure on the male child on: September 29, 2023, 05:42:59 PM
Unfortunately the government has worsened the ordeal of being a male Grin because right there in the bible was the genesis of it all for man hehe. It was the punishment that God gave to the male through Adam for allowing Eve to deceive him. If you read the bible from genesis then you can trace some other punishment according to bible account, both the serpent, the woman and man.

Looking at KJV, Genesis 3:14/15, God caused serpent for deceiving Eve " And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed: it shall bruise thy head, and thou shall bruise his heel.

The woman through Eve was given the punishment of child bearing in Genesis 3:16 " Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception: in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children: and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.

Genesis 3:17, And unto Adam he said, ...... cursed is the ground for thy sake: in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life.

So the government only intensified the punishment of a male child by not creating enabling environment for survival and taking care of the family as the head. It is unfortunate indeed.
1768  Economy / Economics / Re: Diversification in Global reserves. on: September 29, 2023, 04:46:12 PM
With the current volatility and the adoption scale of Bitcoin the answer is no, the reason why USD became Global Reserve is because United States was the biggest economy without any competition, they supply many products and they also lend money to other countries, and those process required USD, same reason why Chinese Yuan /RMB is raising this day, Bitcoin wasn't adopted by any country that has huge economy, and bilateral transaction were never use Bitcoin, so I doubt that any country would consider Bitcoin to be global reserve.

I go with this idea and the last part of it on the doubt bitcoin being used as reserve is correct because bitcoin is not controlled by any government and that a reason only El Salvador have been the country officially adopted it and no industrially developed countries have done that which is because they like to control what comes into their country for regulation. Like you also said in the past dollar have been the major currency for trade because of domination of USA in global financial economy with and things are changing with china , India, Russia and other countries in the south east pushing for economic competition and also presenting their local currency as center of bargain. Hence it is becoming clearer that no fiat currency will become the center of exchange no bitcoin but we are going to have more diversified currency in trade.
1769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Youth Gambling on: September 29, 2023, 03:23:40 PM
The accessibility of gambling options can indeed pose risks to young people. But that fact alone is not enough to make someone develop a gambling addiction or other related mental disorders. Things like socio-economic conditions, family relationships, quality of education, peer influences ... all can play a role.
yes if we Inform young people about the dangers and repercussions of gambling, especially the possibility of addiction

Young age is a volatile age that the parents or those responsible for the young need to give proper attention to the child especially at a certain age because no matter the information that you give on the repercussions of gambling, that young person may still have to go out of his way to try whatever his head is thinking even based on what you have told him. So it depends on the child if he has the gene of rascality, precocious or trying to unravel things around him. Some young person are scared to go out of what you have discouraged them while some want to know why and why things are that way. I think it depends on the child and sometimes experience is the best teacher when they have seen the negative aspect or outgrown such youthful exuberance.
1770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Risk management and responsible gaming on: September 29, 2023, 01:17:22 PM
Governments and several organisations work to encourage responsible gaming.

How do you mean? Or you talking of the act of gambling?
I think most government don't have a hand in gambling and it is not their business the way you spend your money in gambling. Those government that collect tax in gambling casino go after the casinos for the tax, license them, put some restrictions but I can't say if they actually follow up on those restrictions.

This involves establishing betting restrictions, offering support to those who think they have a gambling problem, and participating in self-exclusion programmes.

You have to be responsible to your self. Don't wait for government to tell you that you need to gamble just as you can bear the risk. Make your budget on your bankroll and follow it.
1771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you seen gambling advertisements on TV? Opinion. on: September 29, 2023, 12:13:47 PM
I don’t see anything wrong with an advertisement if there are no direct calls to play. If it is simply informational in nature, then it’s okay. But if the advertisement contains aggressive prizes for playing and communicating a large bonus and an easy game, this should definitely be regulated by censorship.

Wait a minute... Which entrepreneur or business company would put up an advertisement online without showcasing to you what you would benefit from them if you sign up after listening to it? None will do that. Example here signature campaign companies announce opening and solicit for posting by advertising them all over the forum while they also publish the pay rates for every level of user whose expression of interest / application is accepted. This is how it is across, so no gambling company will advertise on TV or anywhere without telling their products and encourage you to win by registering and playing. It is left for the person to decide on what to do , if you let the children to see adverts, they are equally seeing all about the announcement .
1772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Flip or Trade? What’s The Bigger Gamble? on: September 29, 2023, 11:06:30 AM

I don't understand why some members keep insisting on comparing trading to gambling and are totally convinced they are not different from each other. First, gambling is an entertainment activity while trading is a sort of investment or a job if you like.
Second, gambling is based mainly on luck while trading is based on specific skills and experience.
It's true that you can win or lose on both of them but they are not the same and for each of them the possibilities of winning or losing depends on totally different factors.

Those who compare trading and gambling to be the same may be right in their own view and that is because they see both as losing and winning enterprise and none of them is perfect in giving a daily bread and to that extent they could be stating the fact as it were. It is only few traders that can win more both not so regular. The difference that I have read some professionals say is the ability to reduce the probable loses that you can incur in trading but that is absent in gambling. In gambling sometimes after you have clicked your staking then you realized a mistake but you can't correct it or reduce it so you only wait for luck at the end of the day on that stake, to win or to lose on it.
1773  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino vs. Broker: Who's Really Playing You in the Money Game on: September 29, 2023, 10:18:06 AM

Why would anyone want to use a broker nowadays? Some people are falling for various "trading broker" scams, where the brokers are offering "high and guaranteed profits". Those scams have nothing to do with the legal and whitehat financial brokerage.

Like is there ways you can trade on the financial market with ease without using a broker? I mean do traders have direct access to the financial global trading market without some kind of registration with an online trading platform or an exchange so to speak which is what is referred to as broker in the modern sense where you can access all the traded instruments, assets, fiat currency, cryptocurrency derivatives, stocks etc

I see where you're coming from, but it feels like we're on different pages. Imagine going to a doctor for a cold and getting a pitch for a nose job. My worry? Brokers, who should be helping us navigate the financial world, are suddenly tossing dice and dealing cards, nudging us to gamble more than we planned. It’s this sly switch that’s got my alarm bells ringing! Your point is valid, but let's keep our brokers brokering and our casinos dealing, shall we?

Surely there will be some twerking in the brokers modus operandi at least for letting you have a feel of the global financial market  Grin but to the extent of it is what those trading should research on regarding the extent of which they are manipulated. Likewise, such twerking could be somewhere in the casinos house edge too and that is why we are having more casino review sites springing up because people believe that something could be happening in there and if nothing of such then they should play with casino that have little or no such to worry about. Just to say brokers and casinos are all in business to make profit.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Education. on: September 29, 2023, 09:34:27 AM
If gambling education is well implemented, the rate of gambling and gambling addiction would be very much reduced. During this education of gambling you will also tell them the dangers of gambling and the law implication of being found gambling or abusing it. This will do a better job than the system that exist today.

Who should educate gamblers? If it's the government, I think it's too much of a job for them. It's understood that once a gambler plays, he or she should already be mature, meaning that he or she understands the risks involved. A little warning or education provided by the government is already sufficient. If they want more in-depth education, then they should seek it out on their own. The major reason for gambling addiction is not necessarily lack of education; it's because some individuals become desperate to make money through gambling and end up betting more than they can afford to lose. Some may even resort to borrowing money just to gamble.

In fact I have hardly seen government or her agencies running a jingle or ads on gambling to promote it and this is because it doesn't have any significant purpose or benefit to the health of the citizens unlike the sex education or warning on the adverse effects of smoking to the organs of the body. So the government won't have any such business to begin to admonished people to gamble, not to gamble or its effects.

It is the work of the parents to do that verbally and physically on their kids and most times parents that are not gamblers don't bring such discussion up in the family until they begin to see traces of such behaviour on their children especially the sons and then they can now seat them down to talk against such vices and usually they discourage them from it with all the negative advises and references of gamblers who are addicts and never achieved anything through their life time. But this is not the same with sex education, for sex education whether in school or not, the mother takes it as a duty to educate, advise and admonished the daughters and even the sons on what they will expect through their ages and the fathers too admonished likewise.

I majorly relax with soccer bet especially with premiership but along the line I noticed it is highly unpredictable so I shifted to other leagues like championship and other variety of leagues instead of depending on premiership that always disappoint Grin. I usually bet on soccer.

However, I have also played few gambling games outside soccer like dog race just to have a feel of it or the fun of it but I didn't bet on it because I wanted to change, only to have a feel of it.

1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sometimes just flex it ( luck is all you need) on: September 28, 2023, 05:50:32 PM
You used $0.2 to win over $21. That is huge. But do not think that you will have this type of luck if you use high amount of money. Do not be tempted to use high amount of money next time. I remember when I gambled in the past and I won high odd, what came to my mind was that I can try it with high amount of money and I continued to lose.

Sorry to draw back your attention currently 1 dollar is 1020 Naira and he uses $0.098 of 100# and then wins $20.65 is actually a good investment, although one can never be too certain and even him himself didn't know that he would win that game if not he would have gamble with almost $50 or even $100 to change his suffering for long time being a gambler. The thing is, when we think is winning we don't see it at the right time but it comes unexpectedly and by then you wouldn't used any valuable amount to stake instead you would have the old mentality that "let me just gamble with what I can afford to lose" so you would go by lower edge instead upper.

It is always the feeling when you stake small and it comes out successful then we want to express regrets. People stake small because of their negative experience they have had in time past gambling, otherwise if people know they would win they can go borrowing to refund after they cash out. That is simply saying it is luck based and nobody knows the outcome at the end.

Regards to the staking money, I think the Naira is witnessing alot of fluctuations since the new administration since May 29 the, 2023 and that has caused alot of inflation. So op may be correct in his staking money calculation because of the fluctuation.

At this point I believe that the best way to rejuvenate this mayhem is to elect credible leaders that will have the interest of the masses at heart. Leaders that will take proactive measures to make sure that the voice of the masses are heard and also enact laws that will check corrupt practices in the society.

You don carry this one spoil the sober post wey you dey make sense on top. You dey top about electing credible leaders like say you no dey Naija for 25th February this year wey INEC no gree upload presidential election because them sabi say we comot vote credible person.

For Nigeria to change for good me I believe say no be through election again oo because elections for Nigeria never produce the elected but the selected. Those politicians wey know say them no fit win election go always go back door to enter and that means Dem go bribe even mosquito wey dey road so that road go clear for them and when them enter, them go begin collect their money back and before you go know 3 years don reach and them go use the fourth year to begin plan for election and go through another round of bribery. Na so Nigeria see the country, it is unfortunate.
1780  Economy / Economics / Re: Which problem will you choose to solve? on: September 28, 2023, 04:57:07 PM
Solving the problem of one rich person can save thousands of jobs so it depends on who is that rich person and what is their problem.

I would be thinking your view is that the few rich or that rich will help bring out thousands of poor out of that poverty but the majority view of the mindset of the rich is that they don't like to help the poor out of poverty because they want people under them for services they think they have overgrown because of their social status. This factor might disqualify help for a single rich. This is a general view but I believe their are few rich that also want good for the poor.

If you see more replies that say to solve the problems of more poor people then its not a wonder because that is the right thing from an ethical Point of View.

It is trite to consider helping the poor for different reasons. At least the number of poor people keep increase and that leads into different vices in the society. The poor with their size if given help means their will be more labour force that will also contribute to the GDP of the country and that will improve standard of living. A poor person has a very good idea of how to better others behind him because he has been there and that will mean more people getting out of poverty than what would have been with helping a rich.
