821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Heading into 2024 crypto year: what are your hopes and fears? on: January 10, 2024, 09:26:23 PM

I feel like going all in with my funds in preparation but am still a bit skeptical of unforseen circumstances, what are your thoughts? Do you think BTC could hit a record high of $100k as predicted by many analysts or one should thread with caution. Share your insights

Despite the bright lights shining as you see the glimpse of hope that this year is good to be a great run for bitcoin and crypto in general, a good investor is the one that does reasonable investment. So invest wisely and don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself because you want immediate profit. No doubt that after the halving we are going to see bull run and if eventually bitcoin ETF is approved then it will further increase the volatility, however don't borrow to invest or throw all your money in to avoid pressure to yourself for the price to get to your target point.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 10, 2024, 08:16:48 PM

    • Among all, gambling for fun and not to enrich oneself

You have listed all the things to avoid in gambling ideally and I'm not surprised that this is also coming, many gamblers say they don't want to enrich themselves with gambling and they want to do right all the things to do for them to be a profitable gambler  Grin Like you want to restart your gambling and having fun not profit lol.

The point is my husband doesn't know that i have been secretly gambling and involving myself with gambling discussions and the rest, So, this morning when i woke something in me keeps telling me i should let him know to understand my involvement  to practice gambling.

Does this worth telling him or not please i need you collective ideas.

Well if you want disclose to your husband, I don't see that as a problem especially if you have been making very good profit and not wasting his money on gambling. If you tell him that and he has been complaining you are extravagant he will trace it to your gambling losses immediately and you know that will not be funny. My conclusion is if you have been profiting then it is okay but if not then no need, you only manage yourself until you decide to stop. Don't tell a man you have been gambling with money meant for the family and losing it.
823  Other / Politics & Society / Re: pretend dead in real life on: January 10, 2024, 04:32:14 PM
The government can't act to you as a dead person except you present to them your dead certificate and it is funny that you can't present your dead certificate by yourself while you are still alive  Grin So you have to die for your family to present that to them. In other words, whatever gimmick you are going to play concerning you faking your state of living or claiming to be dead, you need to collaborate with another person who would know your plan and help you to keep it and also deliver certain messages claiming and confirming that you are dead.

However, you sound depressed with the attitude you are getting from people around you. My advise is to stay away from bad people, people that don't help you to achieve your goals but only pull you down. This is new year, it is also for new kind of living where you are not satisfied with the way you have lived in 2023. Leave negative people and follow positive people that will make you happy. There are still good human beings, look for them and you will find them. Don't even think of taking your life.
824  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why crime are on the rise daily on: January 10, 2024, 03:42:43 PM
The problem is with the government that has not taken sincere step to improve the economy and jobs will be created when people have extra because they will initiate investment. So the bane of economic development is corruption.

Most government officials go in their to enrich their personal families and pockets. If you want to know that government is a family business and for cronies especially in Africa where an individual is "bigger" than the law, when you check the families of the officials when in power, then you will see how affluent the families will become because juicy contracts are thrown there, employment for the young people in the family and other persons who are not part of the family are neglected, that is the problem.

Therefore, if government becomes sincere in policy and politics, then crime rate will reduce because some descent people are now pressured into crime as they damn consequences to survive.
    825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Long-term profitable strategies on: January 10, 2024, 03:21:32 PM

If your profitable strategy is of a proprietary nature, if it is secret and you do not want to write about it, then you can limit yourself to general reasoning. I think that this discussion will be useful for everyone and perhaps it will prompt some of their own promising ideas.

I don't know of any secret in gambling that will make someone a steady profit sucker because I know not very many win in gambling and those who will still record their own losses from time to time. However, the assumption for a newbie that is reading the op would be that there is a winning strategy in gambling but the truth is there is none that is generally known. Whatever strategy that gives an individual an average winning more than losses depends on individual effort and I don't think people want to share such freely, however it still won't be 100% winning chance because I know of someone who wins more than others and he doesn't share his strategy and even if he gives you some key about what to bet on football match, you will end up losing and he will win. This means people don't disclose exactly what there strategy is just like people won't disclose there secrets like source of power etc.
826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 10, 2024, 01:58:50 PM

So from some of the example and people I knew then that gambles they hardly released money for the family to feed, reason being that they always wants to be at the winning side instead to lose or miss any opportunity that may come across there ways.

Most chronic gambling addicts have less time for their families, so they may not know what is happening in their family because their major concern is the way they can analyse their bet for the next staking time. I have noticed this with offline gamblers and most of those secretly work into gambling house and stay there a long time. Some pretend in the house that they don't gamble but they are huge stakers who see gambling as a source of income or investment instead of taking care of the home but they use the money to gamble leaving the family without attention and finance.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most logical and profitable game on: January 09, 2024, 09:10:04 PM

Let's think a little healthier and smarter, gambling is a game, and the purpose of a game is as a means of entertainment, so that everyone who visits it can feel happy. So... do we feel happy by playing gambling? ohh.. I forgot, we will only feel happy, only when we get a victory..... hihihi

Yes of course nobody in his deep heart will feel happy if they lose especially if they keep losing. For those who say they play for the fun of it, losing at the first time will not be a problem for them but if they continue losing then they will have some negative feeling why they are losing. I have seen some of the gamblers who pretend it is for fun they are playing but are the end they start getting worried for losing. So we need to play games that help us win more than we are going to lose to avoid being angry. Gamble as you can be happy when you lose, don't gamble like you are investing on it so that at the end you are still happy despite losing.
828  Economy / Economics / Re: Setting up financial structures before going into the family way on: January 09, 2024, 06:15:55 PM

Some people like to manage the financial part together with their husband or wife, others prefer not to get involved, it's a very private thing.

A home well knitted will easily work pass difficult times because of the cooperation in the midst of lack. The home that has full presence of the woman will flourish more as the woman is known as the home builder. So I wonder a wife that won't support the husband in investment. Women are planners and they can help a man to achieve his dream even where the man is not investing and extravagant, she can reschedule him to investing.
829  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto: a place where everyone makes money, but few secure it on: January 09, 2024, 04:54:34 PM
I have also read alot of this kind of story from real world and also see people's businesses crashing. Sometimes they say someone is living on past glory because of the influence he had during when he was wealthy.

So at every point, financial management is important to how we can sustain what is in our possession whether gambling, trading or proceed from investment and real world business.

Talking about gambling, when you can't control your emotions you are likely to jump in on a higher stake when you lose or win a bet because of the adrenaline rush at that time and this is why it is only few that are able to sustain it and that few are the most experienced of gamblers who have been able to work on their emotions and mastered their winning strategy and also following it .
830  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Learn to use your profit wisely on: January 09, 2024, 03:56:51 PM
Well... we go understand say young teenagers thinking and adult no be the same thing. E just be like those young people wey dey do yahoo and the way dem dey show deirself. So most young people are wasteful when money begin enter their hand at that early stage, na that one be the koko. But as you dey age you go dey see responsibility as a responsible person oo but if you no dey responsible, you go still dey carry on like that and wetin suppose be your responsibility you no go send am. As a responsible adult, no be every thing you go dey spend money on especially lavishly and e bad say make you no get better thing wey you dey do wey go dey carry income enter.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 09, 2024, 03:46:07 PM

I said No! He then say the more you space the more I missed my chances of winning but what I came to understand is that, the more anyone keeps trying the slimmer such persons turns into gambling addiction becus such person will always want to gamble regularly stirring up some forms of pressure to himself. When there is no money to gamble such person don't mind going extramile to source for funds since he has install this mentality of regularly gambling without giving break.

You have already figured it out what playing regularly can do to you especially if you are not winning. Many gamblers today regrettably started gambling from this way because after much trier with no success, they persisted and thus ended up as gambling addict. Moreover if you are gambling with no success you are likely to go into drug too because of frustration.

So for what your friend said, it is not how far in gambling but how well. You might play for ages without the same success rate of a newbie gambler, that is the situation with gambling, more of luck and your accurate analysis.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Use your winning responsibly on: January 09, 2024, 12:21:27 PM
This is a new year gift for you and I congratulate you on this early winning for the year and the way you have used the proceed to take care of your need and not to push it back to gambling immediately like some will do in the bid that they want to aim for jackpot.

Again, you will never forget this winning with the TV you used it for and installing it in your living room will give you more happiness anytime someone visit you and arguing on not winning or feeling negative about his own fate to win. I congratulate you again for the winning and happily using it for what you want and as you said proceed of gambling can also be used in investing in bitcoin and then wait for the bull rally.
833  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Grassroot benefits of crypto currency. on: January 09, 2024, 09:07:38 AM
However, no be only bitcoin dey play this role. Sometimes we know say bitcoin transaction fees dey extra high like we dey witness now compared to the fees for bank transaction and this challenge still make some users dey go use other coins like litecoin, BnB , Ethereum or USDT because I know no how many people go like use up to $25-$30 go do transfer of bitcoin, e get as e be. So na this also make some crypto dey relevant for market.
834  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: New year, new system. on: January 09, 2024, 03:30:24 AM
The two points wey you raise make sense for growth this year especially that secret thing. Persin suppose know who him friend and persin wey no dey him side because if you carry your matter go land for the lap of frienemy, omo na the thing wey you dey do na im you go know but you no go know the one wey dey do you. Therefore, e better make we dey bridle our tongue as our bible tell us because e get why bible too talk as e dey obvious say persin fit carry him hand take dey expose himself without knowing it.

For the spending matter, being extravagant no good but being a reasonable spender no bad. If you dey reasonable in spending, e mean say you still dey use money do wetin make you hussle for am which is to spend am, use am solve your financial challenges and help others but not to be foolish.
835  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Two things I (we) noticed in the local board on: January 09, 2024, 02:57:20 AM
For example: Mk Una 4 uses this

Note: I'm also part of the number 2. So we all should just keep trying our best to write in the proper way.

Contributions are open to everyone! Thanks

For me this your number two, I no think say na issue. There is no difference between pidgin and shortcut or short hand writing so long persin wey dey read am dey understand and flow with am. Even basically d tin wey dey gud about d pidgin stuff na make e be say na only us wey get dis board go fit know wetin we dey do inside dis place but na as we dey remis with oyibo parol e con be like say other pepo go enta here and easily know wetin we dey yawn here. If persin write such short hand I tink say na still part of the pidgin, the only tin na to write wetin persin go understand. If we dey send SMS for phone, we dey use different ways to shorten wetin we dey write and yet deliver the purpose of the msage. Like example we sabi say for naija pidgin parlance, we dey use 2 as to, 4 as for, d for the etc and so if persin still use dem for here, we suppose fit still know wetin d persin dey yawn, so no issue as far as pidgin concern.
836  Local / Off-topic (Naija) / Re: Your knowledge from school de help you abi e no de help you? on: January 09, 2024, 02:34:14 AM
You wey really pass through school and school pass through you go always see something wey you pick from there and that na knowledge. If you go economic board then you go see something wey dey happen there say that one no be only about forum but about economy and persin wey no dey grounded go dey struggle with the terms there. So really dey helpful for person life and e dey support for the parol wey dey go on here. Those people wey no go even secondary and can't read or write, I no sure say dem dey find am funny carrying on here. For example, dem fit don here inflation, monopoly, deflation and other economic terms like that but e dey difficult for them to dey break am down, this na even real life situation no be for only forum. People wey no go school dey fear to stay with people wey go school but na dem dey still say school na scam, no mind dem oo because e get wetin school dey do for persin life.
837  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Is school really a scam? on: January 08, 2024, 04:05:23 PM
The simple thing about that slogan na just say if you finish school work no dey and also that some people wey go school no fit still represent na dat one make people wey no go school but learn work dey happy to dey fly that slogan say na scam. If person wey get certificate no get money den you go borrow from person wey no get certificate, wetin we go expect. But make we no dey look dat one, na person wey no get hope dey listen to that kind of yawn.
838  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: 2024 no go gree for anybody. on: January 08, 2024, 03:16:12 PM
E also mean say make we shine our eye, no be every thing wey we hear we go believe like make we no fall cheap for scammers or Ponzi scheme. I know how many people wey scammers chop last year and that na from their own mistake because them no shine their eyes well and that one follow set them backwards. Some of us dey gullible to chase money and we believe say e just easy to put money inside somewhere and in the next week e go become millions. That kind of mentality suppose go with last year. This year no gree for Ponzi and scammers.
839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woes of gambling on: January 08, 2024, 02:03:21 PM
I'm not sure the point you are trying to make because of the contradiction at the middle part of your post but I believe gambling is not a guarantee for riches and the house always has better winning chances than the player. You also need to understand that you have to gamble with the money you can afford to lose whether in online casino or offline and that is how you can be satisfied in your games whether lose or profit.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 08, 2024, 12:12:12 PM
That's a gambling addict, looking at the picture, that mother gamble alone, why she need to go to offline casino instead of online casino? I don't see any reason why someone need to gamble alone if he/she is not a friendly person.

What do you mean by gamble alone, like you mean she goes to the gaming house alone? Well if that is what you mean I don't think there is a problem in that aspect, even men do gamble by themselves alone going to the gambling house. It shows confidence or being able to understand what you are doing without help from other people. In the case of the woman, she doesn't look like a learner but someone who is experienced in the game and moreover those who gamble in visual are experienced gamblers and high risk takers. You can't be a visual player without being able to understand risk taking. She is a gambler, that is what it is.
