1781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning how to code in order to automate trading strategies, is it worth? on: December 03, 2022, 04:59:29 PM
Hey members.

I have been a trader for about 4 years, but lately I have been thinking much about learning how to code from scratch (Yep, I am those unlucky ones who did a course that didn't require any coding  Cheesy)

I intended to use the knowledge gathered to make and automate some trading strategies and also understand better how to use some bots, but I am left to wonder if these whole new journey will be worth it?

Also, apart from pine script programming language that is specifically trading view, is Python the only other programming language I need to learn (No JavaScript and all those other programming languages)?

If you're keen on learning about programming language then go for it but I will not recommend simply if you want to learn this to automate your trade then its better to use the trading bots instead of making on your own because its more time consuming to learn and get excel is not going to happen soon.

But you can pay even less than 10% of learning the course professionally to get the trading tool and make the strategies according to you.
1782  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Tips to Becoming a Successful Holder on: December 03, 2022, 03:17:57 PM
It can be more simplified buy whatever bitcoin you can afford to buy over the period of time like years and keep moving to the assets to your custody I mean the actual wallet and after years bingo, you made 10x minimum for sure.

Not every beginner can afford to buy a big chunk of bitcoin so accumulating over the period of time is important and the benefit of compounding is higher which we realise only after we experience.
1783  Economy / Economics / Re: American EVs reduced gasoline consumption by just 0.54% in 2021 on: December 03, 2022, 04:10:03 AM
Even in my country most of the auto makers launched their EVs but the charging station infrastructure is not yet completed so the vehicle can't be used for longer distance and it isn't practical and reliable too with the current technology. Tesla is giving amazing numbers but they can't able to make all the cars required for their country people anyway they created an impact which forced almost all the common utility vehicle to launch their EVs so probably in 2030 we can see atleast 20 to 30% EVs on road.
1784  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I being scammed? on: December 02, 2022, 07:29:45 PM
This is one of the oldest scam technique has been in practice in crypto as well as on the digital world, first the user will ask you to transfer a small sum, and he will repeat same excuses which may convince you at some point and if the streak grows for a while you will lose a huge sum, even some celebrities fall for this technique so don't beleive in things which looks too good to be true.
1785  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to do when trading gives you heart problem. on: December 02, 2022, 05:03:40 PM
We know that the market is dynamic,as in it changes constantly, and as such,an investor who isn't careful enough to know when he is investing will fall in to heart problems or emotional trauma as a result of a massive fall in value, that is why it is important to condition your mind in a way that you won't get heart failure when you are at the loosing end.
Every investor knows there is risk in the game, and taking the risk is what shows you are ready to eradicate poverty from your life.

Go to a hospital and take what the physician prescribe for you.

By the way who told you that trading gives the heart problems and other health related issues? Its the person itself complicating the things may end up having health issues but not majority of the time even when the capital is completely loss people aren't really die, they work it out how to recover.
1786  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase wallet stops support for XRP, ETC, XLM and BCH on: December 02, 2022, 12:49:11 PM
Those that still have their mentioned assets on Coinbase, you better withdraw it immediately they'll be stopping the support for these by January 2023 as per Coinbase's article but on Coindesk, it says December 5. Although from their website says that it won't be lost because as long as you still have the recovery phrase, you'll still be able to access it but it's better to have it on your own posession before anything else.

As of January 2023, Coinbase Wallet will no longer be supporting the following assets and networks due to low usage: BCH, ETC, XLM and XRP.

And the main reason why they're going to stop supporting these coins because of;

Coinbase cited "low usage" as a reason for delisting the four coins,

Sources:
https://help.coinbase.com/en/wallet/getting-started/what-types-of-crypto-does-wallet-support
Coinbase Wallet to End Support for Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum Classic, Ripple's XRP and Stellar's XLM

Coinbase wallet doesn't provide recovery seed if I am not wrong so there is no way to recover the assets if you didn't move to another wallet on or before time. Coinbase exchange and wallet are different things so don't get confused but you never get the recovery seeds on any of these so if you have any assets there then just withdraw it as soon as possible.
1787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A single alt coin which gives you profit multiple times? on: December 02, 2022, 10:52:26 AM
For me AVAX (avalanche) Is the coin i got good profit in this coin by investing 5 times.

First two times i got huge profits.
But after that not huge but that was also the good profit by holding same coin.

Almost every shitcoin is capable of giving you returns as long as you invest on them earlier and cash out when they are at peak. What most people do is they are entering after the big whales accumulated so when they dump the investors will be in loss. I don't really trust any project because its already existing and we are in bearish days so there is uncertain situation for the shitcoins to pass along these days.
1788  Other / Meta / Re: Inquiries on a thread on: December 01, 2022, 06:26:42 PM
But where the thread was posted was wrong, the thread would have been posted in Gambling Discussion.
That's not the reason. If a thread is posted in the wrong section, moderator would move them to the right board. I guess this has nothing to do with the deletion of the thread.
I can't remember if I had read the exact content of the thread or not but I'm sure I have seen that thread earlier. Upon watching the title, though I wasn't surprised because such unnecessary threads are available everywhere including the gambling section and others too, I was expecting it to be deleted. Because such threads have nothing much to do with gambling; I mean how could it be related to gambling either?
That's the reason I guess behind the deletion of the thread.
This could be the possible reason and already many threads created regarding football so moderator may decided to delete instead of moving to the discussion board. But I have seen the thread posted by OP and its not really spam and a lot better than most threads in the discussion board so yes its worth to wait for what could be the actual reason for deletion.
1789  Economy / Gambling / Re: Consider open live casino (street gambling games) on: December 01, 2022, 03:17:30 PM
There ia the big enorphona that allow live play roullete and black jack and more.

I consider bw the first one to open live casino street games.

The one that simple players play like 24 (alternatove to roullete)

Coin flip and more all broadcast from thr streets

What you think?

I remember the dice game played on open casino like you described and the bet amount will be in pennies but there is no fair results their, where the operator uses like dice tricks to attract people and make them to win some in beginning but once the streak continue the player loses and house wins so its kind of deceiving and also there is no security for rewards so better choose the organised casinos or prefer the machines over the shops.
1790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Roshtein fake money streamer or not? on: December 01, 2022, 01:11:18 PM
Its not actually fake money, we need to describe it as sponsored money so the user himself is not risking any money on own, its completely provided by the casino to spread their words among the userbase and he will get paid for it and the concept is simple like you're getting paid from signature campaign to promote their casino name in bitcointalk.
actually it is not literally as fake money but looking at the concept ? yeah it is considered as fake because the way he promotes the gaming from that site uses the money that provided by the casino itself so it is the game and the money is fake .

and we cannot compare that to signature campaigning here in bitcointalk , because there is no game happening here and there is no fooling of people , we post regularly to be visible for potential players while the questioned one is making people believe that it is winnable to play on that particular casino with high percentage .

I used the word signature campaign because its kind of promotion and about the particular case its also the promotion but the only difference is the transparency level but we can't expect everything to be completely transparent when it comes to business and we can sense the influence by big companies to consume their products over the period of decades to get such a big brand today so that's how it works. If the person who you're following is good enough to tell the truth he is sponsored then he can be appreciated but this is just business so he doesn't mind what other thinking until everything goes fine.
1791  Economy / Economics / Re: UAE further collaboration with India for Local Currency Trade on: December 01, 2022, 07:20:21 AM
Maybe to small extent this can be possible but most currencies are probably inflated high at this moment so this won't be taken into big deals between the trades, for sure they will go with reserves.

But what is the difference, by ignoring the reserve currency and trading between their own paper money doesn't make any change too right?
1792  Economy / Reputation / Re: Is Satoshi a Russian? on: November 30, 2022, 08:31:01 PM
I think he is an alien. Roll Eyes

How did you connect the local board activity with Satoshi Nakamoto? I don't see any connection at all.

Russian people loves bitcointalk so they are making more posts than other local boards and that can be the only reason.
1793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why everybody is panicking ? Its a game of greed and fear ! on: November 30, 2022, 06:14:34 PM
Basically they are weak hands whi entered the market and wrong time, get frustration and exit with loss so someone is buying their assets for lower price which will eventually give returns to them in few years basically at the next cycle so lets say 4 years. So anybody who is targeting their portfolio value to grow in the next 4 years and invest the funds which isn't their entire savings and also have other stream of income source can get the most benefits.
1794  Other / Off-topic / Re: lending money to people. on: November 30, 2022, 03:54:03 PM
Snip

One of my biggest life lesson is never lend money to people especially to the person you know because its can ruin the relationship mostly they can't be able to pay back from my experience so at the end its a complete loss for me and I don't really want to force then to pay cause I understand their situation and decided to accept my failure.

If people who really have the ability to pay back can actually get the loan from banks so if someone is can't able to get loan then they seek for someone to lend money from their Circle and even if they're not having any evil thoughts at the time, when we seek for pay back then we can see their real face.

1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin,the bedrock of investors. on: November 29, 2022, 03:40:28 PM
Investing in general is just some sort of 'tool' that people can use to potentially create or preserve wealth. It'll have both positive and negative impact on people's lives depending on who you ask.

Most of the traditional investors are not fan of bitcoin to be honest because they don't really understand the concept of cryptocurrency or afraid of high volatility rate in the bitcoin price.

But yes many people became millionaires and billionaires by investing on bitcoin or providing service related cryptocurrencies.
1797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Careful where you connect your wallet on: November 29, 2022, 02:16:29 PM
.
According to your description, it seems your device (the one you have your main wallet on) is infected with the clipboard hijacker malware. This malware replace the address you are intending the coins to with the hacker's address.
You can read more about it on this guide:
How to lose your Bitcoins with CTRL-C CTRL-V
If this is the reason then all the other assets should be stolen as well right whenever if the wallet loads up with funds so this is probably due to some other reason like allowed access to x number of times instead of once.

Users who are using their metamask air drop rewards then they should always maintain a secondary wallet instead of their primary where usually they receive funds with actual value.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Journey Began 40 Years Ago; is this the end? on: November 29, 2022, 11:40:07 AM
We can never say this is the end because technology keeps evolving and we are now living in a world that people from past generation never imagined so who knows bitcoin maybe replaced or we don't even need to use the money anymore or one world one currency conspiracy and a lot more.

The journey began few decades back and in 90s researches successfully developed the blockchain technology but it took another 20 more years for someone to utilize it in a way which makes the life of people better in this centralized world.
1799  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: November 27, 2022, 04:25:00 PM

I am also loving these art contests a lot. I literally missed many of them when Roobet started it in the initial days and months. They were coming month after month and many regular faces kept winning the contest and made more than 2-3k USD easily.

That was starting point for me to get started with art contest. Well though I submitted most excellent artwork in the last session I was not selected for it. However I will try my luck one more time. They are really good at exciting us and have good time making the imaginative arts.

I never participate as I have no talent at all but it always nice and interesting to see the artwork! Often, the same names indeed win but every time I am impressed by the quality of the art!
I haven't tried joining the contest since I know that the competitors are really good and even If I have tried my best, I think I won't win any of the rewards there knowing that some of the competitors are repeated winners. We can't deny that they are a very good artist and they have an extra ordinary imagination about their art this is why we can't blame them that they are winning every time. I though before of entering the contest but after seeing the participants submitted arts, I know for myself that I have no chance against them. Though this still a good promotion for roobet since there still many who joins the artwork contest.

Even I am not that great artist nor can say excellent creativity so I have been a spectator of all the arts made in each competition but last time I really wanted to let me in, I know it's that great but I was doing it of something which we can use it sweet memories later so just try it and think out of the box, who knows the next time you may win.

This time Roobet came up with 5 different categories so more competitors can be rewarded for their best in the respective category. I am thinking about which categories I have to choose for the Holiday event. Roll Eyes
1800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is this true about Metamask? on: November 27, 2022, 12:13:55 PM
Is it true that Metamask is not a decentralised wallet? I watch a video right now explaining that Metamask wallet collects data😲 and they use infura which is centralized, even Ip address are collected?

How true is this? If this is true then there is no point using this wallet at all and people who don't know should stay away. Unless someone prove me wrong.
Metamask don't save your private keys but they know the address but still its available for anyone to see the transaction details on the blockchain explorers and I don't remember we need to enter any of our personal details to create metamask wallet so the data isn't that sensitive even if they share for their benefits...

However decentralized doesn't really mean completely anonymous, if you're looking for complete privacy then you need to use the privacy coins instead of ethereum.
