1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Prince Filip of Serbia encourages the inclusion of Bitcoin education in schools. on: September 04, 2022, 07:56:11 AM
I don't think the kids will see the advantages of Bitcoin unless they are first taught how fiat currencies work, how fiat money comes into existence, what the Federal Reserve does and what it is (for those who live in the States), how printed paper money is debt, why money losses value long term, etc. You first present the problem, explain why it is a problem, and then you offer an alternative solution. In this case, Bitcoin. If the young minds don't see a problem, and they won't because financial education is not in the curriculum, they won't understand the issues that bitcoin is trying to fix.
In very few countries kids were taught well about basics of accounting and economics. As said without knowing the process involved with the paper currency printing to the end user it is unable to understand the value of bitcoin and its working through school education. A curriculum or a chapter starting from batter system to the present cryptocurrency, and further briefing bitcoin will make this effective.

In the final match of round 3 it is Jannik Sinner won the match. Brandon Nakashima had a good start, but he wasn't able to carry it forward to the next sets. Jannik Sinner after losing the first set 3-6 won the three consecutive sets 6-4 6-1 6-2. Finally the round 16 schedule is ready and more matches are going to be very close.

An entertaining match in progress with 176 is good target to chase in these conditions and here at Sharjah Cricket Stadium as Afghanistan were batting there were most chances they will touch figure around 195 to 200 but at the death overs Sri Lankan done good job and restricted them just for 175 which is also compatible and now start is also very good from Sri Lankan after 6 overs they are having 57 which is very good start from them in last power play over which bowled by Rashid Khan they stole good runs which mean today they are playing with better strategy and now have learned from their mistakes.

Today I am feeling Sri Lanka will be the winner, and they are going to be good after having good win against Bangladesh in last group match.

Very interesting to watch. When Afghanistan batting got over it looked like a winning match for Afghanistan. Another fact, Afghanistan have scored 170+ runs in 21 matches and have won in every match. Sri Lanka started the innings in a very comfortable way and took the match on their side. Later few wicket fall changed the match and once again situations are getting close. We can't be sure of the match outcome. Anything can happen at the end.

The first match of Asia Cup 2022 was between Sri Lanka and Afghanistan. There, Sri Lanka had to lose badly to Afghanistan. Today again those two teams are facing each other after some time. Naturally today both will try to do maximum. But it remains to be seen how much Sri Lanka can perform well. Because the current Afghanistan team has managed to get such confidence that they do not consider Sri Lanka a good opponent.

In the way Afghanistan makes the super 4, they are clearly the favorites for today's match. It looks like they're going to roll again today against Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, won a high scoring match against Bangladesh and is in good mental shape. It should be a competitive match. It will certainly be a challenging chase for Sri Lanka on that pitch. Almost 9 runs are scored per over by Afghanistan's batters.
Afghanistan have made a good start. In 10 overs Afghanistan have made 83 runs. This is good runs in the first ten overs. Afghanistan lost the toss and was asked to bat first. I believe the partnership at the beginning will help in making good score at the end overs same as that we saw in the match between Pakistan and Hong Kong.

^^^ The question is whether the Hong Kong team represents the nation of Hong Kong? I am sure that the Nepal team does represent their country. Next time, if I organize a group of Indians and Pakistanis, and label them as Brazil or Argentina, do you think that the people of the Latin Americans countries will support that team? 99% of the population of Hong Kong is comprised of ethnic Han Chinese. How can a team that doesn't have a single Han Chinese be termed as "Hong Kong national team"? I don't think that anyone in Hong Kong is even aware that a team labelled as HK is playing in the Asia Cup.
Maybe you're right, according to me it looks like Hong Kong people aren't interested in cricket. That seems to be the prime reason why the team doesn't have an ethnic Han Chinese. Maybe that's the reason, people who migrated from India and Pakistan have formed the team and playing for Hong Kong.
1787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 03, 2022, 08:30:28 AM
Every player have turned to be native players. Maybe the country they've born is different, most of the players have been playing for Hong Kong since 2010. This means playing from the U-19 cricket. One or two have played for home country and have got into the Hong Kong team after completing the residency procedure to be the citizen of Hong Kong.

As far as I know, there was only one Hong Kong citizen in the playing XI. And that was the keeper Scott McKechnie, who has dual citizenship from England as well. All the other players were citizens of India or Pakistan. They might have performed well in the qualifying tournament. But if they perform like this, they don't deserve to be in this tournament instead of teams that are playing with native players. They were bowled out for 38 runs! Even if Nepal or Japan performs like this, there is a future benefit in their participation. That benefit is not there with Hong Kong if they refuse to include native players.
Maybe I'm wrong, but from what I came across Nizakat Khan is Pakistan born and playing since 2010 for Hong Kong. Yasim Murtaza from Pakistan, after completing his period of residency now only added to the team. Babar Hayat is Pakistan born and is playing for Hong Kong since 2012. Kinchit Shah is an Indian born, but playing for Hong Kong since 2011. Aizaz Khan is a native Hong Kong born player and is into the team since 2009. Scott McKechnie is into the team since 2017. Mohammad Ghazanfar is in the U-19 team since 2010.

As said only one player is native of Hong Kong, but the rest of the players have been playing long terms for Hong Kong. Maybe the board have got different policies, but these players just holding dual citizenship can't be stamped as foreign players.
1788  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 03, 2022, 06:22:52 AM
It was a disaster yesterday. Hong Kong was really pathetic. They conceded close to 200 runs while fielding first and then lost the match by 150 runs. And this is the reason why I want ICC to prohibit teams sending 100% foreign citizen squads to such tournaments. Hong Kong stole the slot from teams with native players (Nepal, Malaysia.etc) and then put up a pathetic performance against Pakistan. If the ICC doesn't take concrete actions, at least the ACC should make it mandatory to have at least 3-4 native players in the XI.

First of all they weren't just gifted this spot. They came in Asia cup through a proper qualification process which Included Malaysia and Nepal too in the early stages, and they didn't even qualify for the qualifiers. So just because they had more native players they would have given a better performance? Your reasoning is absurd.

They represent the country they are playing for, doesn't matter if they are native or not. I think by saying that there aren't native players you mean they lack passion. Read this article:

https://www.espncricinfo.com/story/ind-vs-hk-asia-cup-2022-hong-kong-are-at-the-asia-cup-to-cause-an-upset-or-two-says-coach-trent-johnson-1331547

Last night was a disaster for Hong Kong not because they hired overseas players but because Pakistan bowlers bowled brilliantly. While Pakistan's batters struggled till the 13th over after that they reached the score which was impossible for Hong kong to chase. I would personally also like to see native guys being part of the national team of Hong Kong but it will only happen when Cricket Hong Kong decides how to promote cricket. Regardless of having hired players or native players every team was given equal opportunity to qualify for the Asia cup.

Medvedev vs WU

The match is completely one-sided as expected. Right now Daniil Medvedev leads with 6-4 6-2. Probably the match will end by the third set. Third round have got more interesting matches. One of the audience staked up large number of cups one above the other indicating that Medvedev is on the verge of adding more cups to his career.

Did Hong Kong bat well against India? Hong Kong is a small group. They scored more than 150 against India so we appreciate them. But in this match, Hong Kong players did not bat to win. Their aim was to reduce the run gap with India. In fact they did not play well. Maybe they will play well against Pakistan, but Hong Kong has not yet achieved the ability to win the match. Their players are still unprofessional and inexperienced.
Finally we were able to see the lack of experience as well as the fact of being unprofessional will never give hands. Based on the performance against India and Pakistan, it looks like Hong Kong have felt good batting against Indian bowlers. So, it is time for the Indian bowlers to make better plans for the upcoming matches.
1792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 02, 2022, 05:58:58 PM
I cannot believe the fact that so many people in this thread actually thought that a team like Hong Kong stood a chance against a powerful team like Pakistan especially when the target is close to 200 runs.

They destroyed them systematically. This was basically a warm-up match for Pakistan which they needed after their earlier defeat against India.
People believed of Hong Kong based on the performance it made against India. In that match Hong Kong had a target of 193 runs which is almost same as today's match. In that match Hong Kong managed to score 152 runs losing 5 wickets. That made people take a chance on Hong Kong.

Hong Kong did well, but in the end they lost to India. And given how unpredictable the Pakistani team is, I would say that there is no guarantee that they will win today's match. Their best bowler (Shaheen Shah Afridi) is out due to injury. And some of the Hong Kong players showed great maturity and composure during their encounter with India. Babar Hayat managed a quick 41, while Kinchit Shah made 30 from 28 balls. And among the bowlers, the 19-year old Ayush Shukla was very impressive, along with Yasim Murtaza.

I do not think Pakistan is such a worst team that they will loke against Hongkong. They have a tendency to be inconsistent but they generally play well in big tournaments. If it was Hongkong against Bangladesh then I would given the same statement as yours. They might not have Shaheen Afridi but they still have others who gave tough time to Indian batters.
Pakistan isn't an worst team, but the performance of Hong Kong is getting better playing against the leading teams. In every match they're doing better than the previous match. Pakistan have got the best opening order. On account of the same, batting first will be an advantage for Pakistan. As one of the user said, India won by 40 runs. Maybe Pakistan scoring 200+ runs will make them win by 70+ runs.

https://watcher.guru/news/bitcoin-casino-founders-slapped-with-a-400m-lawsuit?c=566

As a long time Stake user this makes me feel concerned, I'll be withdrawing all of my funds and going elsewhere!

We should always judge by hearing the story from both the sides.
The founder who filed the case, might not have done the agreement properly for which at a later period of time he faced this issue.
If also he was not getting what we wanted, then how come he didn’t say any word for the past 6 years?
Nevertheless let’s see how Eddie and the rest responds to the case. As far as I know this won’t affect much to the player’s funds. But still let’s see what happens next.
Chris Freeman have 20% share on primedice and this have been lowered to 14% later. By the time Eddie and Tehrani have got 40% each. The agreement might've been made wrongly or else Chris Freeman might have waited for the right opportunity. As Stake evolved as the top cryptocurrency accepted casino of the world, he went for lawsuit. If not why should he wait for such a long time period. I believe Stake will come out of this at the earliest.
1796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: September 02, 2022, 08:31:32 AM
Cricket is inevitably dying. Even ICC will have to acknowledge that if they are being honest. But at the same time, they are also not doing anything to save this game.

At this moment if cricket was added to the Olympics, it would have been a great step taken for the best future of cricket. But it is very sad to say that I don’t see any urgency from ICC to do that. The bigger cricket boards are quite opposite of this. So I really don’t know what’s going to happen with cricket.

But one thing is sure with the introduction of the T-10 format cricket is going to get a lot more followers. A lot more teams are also going to be interested in cricket as well. But that might be happening at least two or three years later. Right now Olympics is the best option.

There was a lot of drama surrounding inclusion in the 2028 Olympics. ICC officials were claiming that they are trying their best to get cricket included for the 2028 Games. But then the International Olympic Committee (IOC) came up with a statement a few months ago, rejecting those claims. IOC stated that the ICC has shown no interest in getting cricket included, despite repeated reminders. Once this statement came out, the ICC guys panicked and they put forward an official application for the inclusion of cricket for the 2028 Games.
ICC doesn't want cricket to be included into Olympics. ICC doesn't want to loss it's control. The main one behind this seems to be BCCI, because they need to be on power as well as enjoy the money made out of cricket. For sure the leading cricket nations will fail while playing cricket in Olympics. There is no chance of adding ODI, because it isn't easy as playing T20.

I just read about the lawsuit. That’s a crazy big number. I hope all parties are able to settle the dispute somewhat amicably or at least avoid lengthy and costly litigation. Nobody likes being sued but I’m sure Stake will be able to handle it and lawsuits between ex-partners are fairly common.
Crypto Casino Stake.com Sued For $400 Million By Former Partner. Based on the article it looks like the former partner on primedice doesn't have any relation with stake. This is mentioned as the attempt to spread false information against Stake.

I had the similar experience. Once I was much addicted and lost big. This made her completely restrict me from gambling. For now I have a separate mobile in which I gamble. That mobile isn't used for communication needs. So, it'll be offline most of the time. When required I just switch it on, make the bets and keep it aside. So, the problem is solved and she's happy I'm out of it.
1799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 02, 2022, 01:23:13 AM
Pakistan needs to win their match against Hong Kong today, in order to proceed to Super 4. Pakistan lost their first match against India, so they need to make sure that they win today's match. Any upset in this match and Pakistan will end up with a fate similar to that of Bangladesh. And Pakistan need to take Hong Kong seriously. Because the latter put up a good fight against India in their initial match. And Hong Kong has a history of making upsets. Back in 2014, they managed to defeat Bangladesh during the T20 World Cup.
If it is an ODI then we can say Pakistan will win the match. With T20 anything can happen even at the last moment. Hong Kong performance against India is really good and many couldn't have expected it. If India wasn't able to make the last over score, Hong Kong could've played even better. So, as you've said Pakistan needs to play very carefully to secure its place on the Super 4.

so many people that sold the bottom in the comments, so many that sold and thought btc will hit 10k. wonder what they going to do when btc hits new all-time highs, without reaching 10k.
now it is near 24,000, so it is the time to buy.
$10k is still on the way, because a lot of people want a low price,
and I'm sure there will be a short squeeze below the $10k price,
and that makes panic selling happen, so prepare a strategy if that happens
Just because lot of people want $10k to be reached, the market won't move in such a way. For now it hasn't got the resistance to move strong. This might keep the down market to continue. For now it have got the support at $19k, failing this might touch $17k. Further only we'll get to know whether the drop will go even lower or not. For now I expect it to reach between $12k and $15k.
