181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Cryptocurrency Movies You Need To See on: August 03, 2019, 02:47:11 PM
The movies in the link are not too popular. I think you need to watch unfriended: dark web. It is a thriller and really shows the use of bitcoin (name changed in the movie but same blockchain interface).
182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do I think of the Bitsdaq platform token - BQQQ? on: August 03, 2019, 02:30:54 PM
BNB and BQQQ is like the marvel cinematic universe and DC universe in movies. One has carefully laid down a structure for production while the other is struggling and trying to play catch up rather than creating their own unique path. BQQQ will need to be more creative if they are to ever get anywhere near BNB. Their relationship with Bittrex won't help them much as the said exchange is also struggling with volume.
183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dying coins you want revived / Broken chains you want fixed on: August 03, 2019, 02:25:25 PM
Bitwhite is a coin that showed much promise in 2017 and listed early 2018. I don't know what happened within their team but the project has been abandoned ever since. A coin worth close to a dollar at its all time high now is now basically worthless. Although I hear they are planning to revive it. Happy to see how that pans out
184  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What should I do with a 1000$ and what would you do? on: August 03, 2019, 02:03:22 PM
That amount looks small but you can actually do more with it. I will recommend just buying Bitcoin and holding it because altcoins are very unpredictable today. Their prices dip badly with each positive or negative movement of Bitcoin. If you feel you can set up a business with it outside crypto, I will also encourage it.
185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Dex exchanges are safe? on: August 03, 2019, 01:49:25 PM
I used to believe decentralized exchanges were truly safe. Then I remembered how people lost a lot of money in assets at etherdelta around 2017. Truth is as long as you are connected to the internet, nothing is safe. Just keep taking extra measures to secure your assets and most importantly, your main assets should be physical and not virtual just to be safe financially.

190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be aware, so many scam coins are around on: July 24, 2019, 02:12:50 PM
Thank you. So many scams out there. I wonder what they gain by making people feel distressed and unhappy with their scams. I know about profish. A friend advised me to buy some months ago. I'm glad I didn't buy it eventually
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins That Has Went to $0 Price? on: July 24, 2019, 02:06:06 PM
85% though? It could be more. I have so many coins I've been holding since 2017 that have gone to zero dollars. Bitcoin red, BitWhite, hawala token, to name a few. There will have to be a really big announcement if the price is to start picking up soon
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance(BNB) best alt coin ! on: July 24, 2019, 02:02:33 PM
CZ is a very pragmatic and visionary dev. He has everything carefully mapped out for bnb that it is so difficult to see the project falter. Bnb will do very well in the alts season
193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We can't blame crypto and blockchain technology on: July 24, 2019, 01:57:17 PM
This life is all about dialectics. There is no good thing created that doesn't come with an opposite. Water and fire are essential to humans but they can also cost human life. It doesn't mean we have to stop using fire or water. because they can kill. A degree of control will level things out.

The idea of cryptocurrency is to give financial power to the hands of everyone without interference from the government. But if this is done, it will give criminals the opportunity to commit crimes without trace. So I think there should also be a form of control for cryptocurrency that allows users to transact fluidly while checking for criminal activities
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to invest long term aside from Bitcoin? on: July 24, 2019, 01:20:17 PM
You can pick out any of the top ten coins on coinmarketcap to invest in. Bnb is a very good example as the owner of the project frequently roles out innovative ideas which influences the price of the coin positively
195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Renewable energy altcoins on: July 23, 2019, 12:40:39 PM
I have invested in few of them in the past and recently I also invested in bluenote. Despite all of this projects being able to identify problem related to need for renewable energy and other form of solving high cost of electricity, I still haven't found anyone that has successfully implemented and give a working services. All I see is just few of them getting listed on exchange and after that, no further development. If this project you are promoting is really into tackling these problem and provide working solution, it will really be very ok

True. I invested in bluenote too. They just listed and then no updates from the ceo or any member of the team. I also invested in Bittwatt last year. Another wobbling project. Same with WPP energy. Its amazing when you consider the amount of money gotten from their sales only to falter when you least expected them to
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protecting Your Computer? on: July 23, 2019, 12:37:25 PM
Careful with links from emails. Also avoid downloading anything and everything you see online. Most of them have been programmed with keyloggers. Malwares are easy to detect as they tend to take over your browsers.
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Initial Coin Offering (ICO) in 2019 on: July 23, 2019, 11:56:03 AM
This is the middle of 2019 and ICO as a medium for raising funds for cryptocurrency projects is as good as dead. We are in the era of IEOs now and even that itself may not see the end of 2019. Fingers crossed
198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you sell an altcoin right at the very bottom on: July 23, 2019, 11:52:42 AM
Many reasons can make an investor want to sell off their coins at the bottom. Maybe desperate need for cash or a lack of belief in the project. As for me, there is a certain dip level that will make me leave my alt and not bother selling anymore because by then its already worthless. In situations like this, I just act as if it was a bad investment and forget it. If it pumps later, all good. If the project exit scams or closes shop, so be it.

200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Says Bear Market is BAD? on: July 22, 2019, 07:08:31 PM
Bear market has its advantages but its disadvantages far outweighs the good side of it. Almost all the tokens I have bought have failed to go back to even a third of their ath. Meanwhile btc is halfway there at 10k.

Most projects have gone out of business thanks to the bear market. Not that they intended to but the funds they gathered during icos have lost value with the bear market
