181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥[ETT]EncryptoTel: Secure VoIP and B2B blockchain communications infrastructure on: February 17, 2018, 10:26:04 AM
Guys, You are talking about mysterious 1 or 3%  bonuses. On my opinion, this is insignificant gains to talk about. From the beginning of ETT ICO, investors lost  hundreds percent of the profits, just leaving money in ETH, one can multiply money 3 or 5 times.

The point is that 3% is an INCENT bonus. And it's a good performing project (or it was such a project Cheesy )

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/incent/

At least it's 3x+ more than ETT, so it is like 10% bonus ETT coins which is significant. Also, if a COMPANY promised something, even 1$ gift/bonus, is there any reason they shouldn't deliver? Because 1$ is nothing to most people? I don't think it's a valid reason to brake the promise.

Well, broken promises are the reason the price is so low and why investors lost hundreds of %...
The bonus isn't handled by incent and if you don't know there is a misunderstanding with the ETT and Incent in the first place that cause problems so if they are going to give a bonus its a bonus that comes from incent by participating in the ETT agreement if they had i think. I know its still a broken promise but if we understood what happened then we can go analyze it for good or bad.

The coins have been sent by Incent. The problem (as I understand it) is in distribution, since they need to be sent to both EETT and WETT holders. (Incent was originally supposed to work on both platforms too, but that's no longer possible at this point.) How to go about fair distribution is an issue I believe EncryptoTel is looking at now.

How is it hard to prove a negative?

"You were the one who robbed the bank"
"No, I was in xyz place and time playing with my toy turtle in the bath on my own, with no witnesses during the robbery."

"You're behind a mass conspiracy."
"No. I haven't any connections but with a few powerless friends. Of course it's hard to prove a lack of connections, and easy to conceal them and claim I don't have them. Meh, what can you do?"

"You're the owner of tradesatoshi and tradeogre.`
"No. I'm not Mr. Johnny Depp or ms. Jane wright. Honest. I'm sure you believe me. I take my privacy seriously enough that I won't provide a random stranger on the internet with my passport details to prove it. And why should I anyway? The onus is on him to prove wrongdoing, not make a wild claim and put me to the inconvenience. I'm pretty sure the principle 'Innocent until proven guilty' is there for a reason."

4. With a neutral viewpoint, we can't say whether these two exchanges are under your control. But, then again, you two are anonymous devs, who knows what control you have in the first place. Was TradeSatoshi even an exchange that the consensus voted on? Or did the lead devs simply abruptly shove a btc into tradesatoshi to get it listed without any sort of community feedback? Surely the decentralized exchanges you're working on being added are cheaper than TradeSatoshi, if not free. I'm not certain why you would single out tradesatoshi as the exchange of choice. Surely alternative, better known exchanges could've been chosen with that same listing fee.

It is utterly ridiculous that you would expect the devs - or anyone - to waste time proving a negative. Your argument:
1) You're anon
2) You might have controlled listing on TS/manipulated price/caused the Global Financial Crisis/rigged the US election/killed JFK
3) Therefore the onus is on you to prove you didn't.

Seriously?
It's pretty staggering Bebop gave you the courtesy of answering you at all.

I've been researching new alts to get into. The unprofessionalism that goes on in this thread turned me off.

I'm not sure whether or not the collective negative responses coming from others who merely question some aspects of the coin, its events, and its anonymous creators are true or false.

However the coin's supporters reply calling these critics "flat earthers" and "JFK conspiracy theorists". It just makes the coin look more scammy.

I don't agree with anonymous developers for centralized crypto.

But from what I can tell, turtlecoin is doing the anon thing the correct way. They're trying to make a statement that it's not the devs who matter, but the coin's following. The devs ultimately don't have more power than the coin's active members.

But I'd like to offer a caveat to that as well. It seems as though only the two anonymous devs have the power to kick people from the turtlecoin discord. They took away all administration right from all mods and administrative.

If they can do that for the main community, they could just as easily do so for other aspects of the coin, including development.

Just a caveat. It's only decentralized on its face, it can go centralized with a few clicks

I think you missed my point. It's extremely difficult to prove a negative and frankly, why should they try? It was an odd thing to accuse devs of anyway, since most of the crypto world seems to spend 90% of their time clamouring for new exchanges.
TL;DR someone is always going to be upset about something. Just another day in crypto.

It will very useful tool as merchants will be able to understand the interest of users based on their searches. At the same time get paid for activating the tool bar. In my opinion only difference is you get reward while helping merchants willingly to understand your interest else these things still are going on at some level already.

The 'get paid to browse' stage is just for research. The plan is to integrate affiliate marketing so that users get paid Incent just to do their ordinary shopping. Then we'll look to integrate with specific businesses/brands.

Thanks for the feedback - we're working on those glitches. The time out one you mentioned might simply be that you have to be actively browsing. The team is looking at one or two issues of sites where the toolbar doesn't display, or doesn't display properly.
Whilst it would be possible to collect a lot of data about the user, that's not the idea right now. Different merchants may, of course, have custom integrations that help them understand their customers better.

When will we be able to withdrawl the INCENT earned by the toolbar to our waves wallet?

That's on the way but the priority right at this moment is getting the toolbar functioning perfectly.

TL;DR The central figure of the central banks' central bank is wary about the idea of decentralised money.

How could anyone even pretend to be remotely surprised?

Tradingview shows BTC USD LONGS at ATH.  34,000?

Either we are going up or these longs are going to get liquidated and we are going to be fucked up fam.  Today will not be boring.

To be fair USD SHORTS are much lower at 15,000.

Normally this would be bullish.  But things could get squishy if equity markets dump again.

Well, if it goes down and they start getting liquidated, that's your uber capitulation spike Smiley

Step 1: Click 12H
Step 2: Look at the volume
Step 3: Compare the volume to the last 6 months
Step 4: Become bullish and post train memes

Repeat with 1D tonight at closing

^^^^

1d is shaping up for record volume. This pleases me.

Has anyone else gone through an obscene amount of alcohol in the last seven days or is it just me?

I've actually been on the wagon.

I am not at all sure that is better  Undecided

Got a totally decent Imperial Stout lined up for this evening. One nice thing about the last year in crypto is not drinking more, but drinking better.

I have ignored the hacking system by sending my BTC founds to the specified database wallet account!

You get merits for having a Brit-like sense of humour.

It has been stuck at $8700-8800 for 24 hours now.

Have we finally hit the iceberg?
There is a huge ground of ice underneath us
Right? Sad

You what? Not sure if serious or very understated postironic humour. No merits for you.

I guess the cynical contrarian stance makes her a better trader than most around here.
It's likely. In one of her later posts, she wrote something to the effect that a good trader should be highly unpopular. Now the logical implication doesn't work in reverse of course, but she is somewhat unpopular here, isn't she?  Wink

I'd agree that a good trader would be unpopular around here. Also that the reverse isn't true. Otherwise the anti-Semite would be wealthy, rather than crying into his silver (shekels).

The trick is to be extremely cynical, without being so cynical that you completely miss out (Stolfi, Roubini...)

Did we hit the bottom yet Huh

Yes, it was $7700 about an hour ago and you will never get a better deal ever again.

Trust me, I'm a random guy from the internet Wink

You got me sir. Gonna buy them all now.
On a more serious note, the current bounce doesn't convince me yet.
Thats not really a v-shape we're seeing, though the increased volume seems interesting. When we go up another 500 with an addition of 3 billion in volume (on coinmarketcap) I might consider this the bottom for the mid-term.

Right. I want to end today on a green that rivals 15 September for volume.

Honestly, I think that's exactly what we need to end this.

Yes, I wasn't joking Smiley
I'm not sure if we'll flip green by the end of the day, that would require ~$9100. But at this rate, volume will be close. 30k on Stamp in 14 hours, vs 60k daily vol on 15/9, which I think was highest ever for Stamp. That day put the bottom in pretty convincingly for me at $3k. I think that effectively paved the way for the run-up to ~$19k.
Further down, of course, would be Not Good™.

I think for sure all lingerie term hodlers have friend with BTC .... for example after i had btc and believed in iT i told Some friend and Some of the bought to even @ low prices +- 700ish -1kish Some later @2k-5kish and offcourse few ATH buyers
Now few of them allready saying When the price hits back 9 or 10k i Will sell.... This is something we Will see a lot offcourse So Many waiting for the Sharp pump to quickly dump there coins
So Many still not getting iT

Autocorrect? Freudian slip typo?

Yeah “the long” became “lingerie” Wink

I figured. But it feels like there should be a meme here.
The real question is why your phone has learned to predict 'lingerie' instead of 'long' for this context  Wink

In the bull run, there seemed to be a general consensus that the top would be $12-14k. There also seemed to be a general expectation that $8k would be the bottom.
Make of that what you will Smiley
